I paid my lifetime membership well over 20 years ago. I recieved my publications monthly for several years soon the magazine went to quarterly. Soon there after I recieved no magazines at all w/o any explanation. There should be a class action suit against nahc so that they quit ripping people off! Bill miller should be ashamed!

As a Trophy Life member, I too have been ripped off. Doesn't say much for the honor of those responsible. I am disgusted. Where's my money, Refund!

Today I was going through some old credit card wallets, and came across 2 of my NAHC Life Member cards. That led me to this forum, and it's an interesting read. I (too) didn't hear from them when they sold out, and everytime I tried to find them I got redirected to "Scout"... then I got inundated with junk emails. I joined NAHC 37 years ago (9/1986) for the Life Membership plan. One of my cards is gold, with an 8 digit member number and the back shows the company address in Hopkins, MN. The other is blue, with only the last 5 digits shown, and the address is Minnetonka, MN. I remember the magazines, the gifts, the offers to test a product, the patches, zipper pulls, etc... never grabbed the leather jacket... but I miss the Hunting Insurance (life/injury/firearm coverage/etc). In 2005 I joined the North American Fishing Club, but can't recall ever getting anything from them except a patch and a sticker.

I understand the complaints from folks who joined closer to the company's end, but I feel like I've moved on from their demise (but I DO wish that insurance policy was still in effect ! That was a good policy !)

I’m glad I found this site because I have lost my memory for sometime… I too paid for a lifetime membership and all the money for the coin collections and the videos and the magazines and as everyone else has already confirmed they “being the company” just faded away… Some of us invested a lot of time and money into this organization, and then for it to just disappear on all of the sportsman, who of course, were the investors… thank you. Whoever started this, and for all of you who kept it going… It’s kind of humorous to me only for the fact that when I tell my significant other about this, she will not be as politically correct as I am trying my very best to be… Is it too late to say that this is what “OUR” America has come to?…👎🏻…

I have been a Lifetime Member for many years, really enjoyed the magazines, then they just quit. Something should be done , this is not right, would appreciate some satisfaction.

I became a life member around 1989. Along with the life membership was a 10,000 dollar AD&D policy with double indemnity if you lost your life due to anything related to hunting. I haven't heard anything from NAHC in many years and have made numerous attempts to contact them with no results, can't even get an answer on their customer service number. I have also tried to find information on the AD&D policy, and I can't seem to find out anything about that either. Put me down for a refund!

Count me in on a lawsuit. I know that you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip, so we will get nothing. Lifetime means lifetime of the product, not our lifetime. Been down this road before. Maybe we could get satisfaction by notifying the press and some enterprising journalist will pick up the ball and run with it. The people who took us should be in jail. A scam is a scam.

I joined in 92, the main reason I joined was to advertise my property for sale in the back of the Magazine. Thinking this property is a hunters dream, I added that Elk had been seen just over a mile away, running with my neighbors cattle. (100% True). I got 3 calls from that ad, all telling me I was " a da_m Lie." After that, was not to impressed with the membership.

Should I burn this and the leather coat then? I forgot all about the publications as so many did. I don't even remember what the membership cost was? Maybe like $300 something?

They have been scamming people for years. They got my money and vanished soon afterwards. Contacted them many times and never could get them to honor their lifetime membership I bought and paid for in full. If knew what I know now I would have never wasted my money. I think everyone that has been dropped by them for no reason deserves a full refund of all charges and membership dues for breach of contract. Yep made millions telling lies.

NAFC sold to www.scout.com who made promises to keep the club alive. They did for a time with a web site mostly. 1st Scout fired or let go the NAFC staff which meant that the magazine folded in short order and that left the website which had terrible content and very few users. Scout just allowed the club to die a slow death. I don't know if NAFC was in financial difficulty at the time of the sale or the people in charge got old and didn't care anymore. In any case, Scout made promises it couldn't keep. Why Scout wanted it is beyond me for it's not even close to fishing in any form. I can only imagine the loss accrued, and bad will, that company suffered. The whole thing must have been a write off for the owners. When I joined NAFC in 2006, 1st as a simple member then as a lifetime member and finally as a Trophy Lifetime Member I received everything they promised. The monthly magazine was excellent, the website was also excellent. I paid for it in installments at first and then just paid a final payment and received exactly what they promised: Hat, belt buckle, fish cleaning board with knife, gloves, spinning rod and reel with line and every so often a product to test and keep. I was, unlike others apparently, very satisfied with the way things were going. Then suddenly with the sale to Scout it all went away. I don't really blame NAFC for selling because they most likely sold in good faith and was let down by Scout. American Motors sold to Chrysler and Chrysler got Jeep and AMC (a good car company) just went away. I wonder what Scout got? I feel bad for the NAFC members who feel wronged, and they were, and are, I'm sure. Nothing good has come of this merger (?).

All I received for my Lifetime membership money was a Belt buckle a few magazines and offer to buy some books. Never sent anything to test as described in the literature, no discounts for hunts, a couple of silver and blue stickers for my truck and nothing else! Lost my money on empty promises/ outright lies!

Still to this day I have not heard a word! I guess this will teach me a lesson, just stay with the N.R.A. which i am a Life Member.

Hi, I got my lifetime membership back in 2004 and I have moved since then but would like my subscription to to be updated to come to my new address it's been forever since I got anything either before I moved. I found my old wooden plague for my lifetime membership not long ago and it reminded me.

I've been a Life Member since 2002. I payed the price when I really couldn't afford it because it seemed to be a worthy club. I wanted to join my fellow outdoorsmen and women in testing new gear and helping with conservation. I got a nice leather jacket and some magazines for a while. I even bought some books and other products from the club. Then, after a few months, no magazines or any other correspondence. I finally sent an email to the club to see what was going on. They sent a magazine and a POS knife, nothing else. No explanation as to what was going on. Nothing since. Period. I would hope, if they care, they would read these complaints and do something to take care of the people that payed hard earned money for a product that seriously underdelivered. Class Action Law Suit? I think there are plenty of folks that would join in if only to recoup their dues.

North American Hunting Club was acquired by scout in the early 2010s and they reduced the magazine to a quarterly release. About 1 year later they switched to online only quarterly release. Within 5 years of being acquired, NAHC was shut down by Scout. A short time layer Scout themselves went bankrupt. From the last email I got from Scout. They've been bankrupt since at least 2016.

My husband is also a Life Member since September 1992. Invested money in books, jackets, and such, and have not received so much as an inkling anything was amiss. Yes, I agree anyone that paid a Life Membership should get their money back, if not a class action lawsuit should be filed.

My husband is/was a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club from way back in the
early 1970's. They sent him and his brother a beautiful leather jacket! I think there should be a Class
Action Lawsuit brought against this company for not notifying their members or even like one comment said refunding the membership! Any comments on this?
