Nor-Cal Industrial review: Scott Beadles - crook 8

Our company purchased a Crown RC3020 Electric Forklift that was stated as being "just serviced, runs great, newer tires, looks almost perfect". Also stated they could arrange freight for around $500 to most of the western US and to call for freight quote. Scott Beadles gave us a price of $3200 for the forklift and $396 for the freight, which we paid him with a check. I made several phone calls to find out when we would receive our forklift and was finally told 19 days after we sent the check that they had shipped it through a company called MVP Logistics. Then was told it had been brokered through R&L Carriers. We were contacted on November 12th by R&L Carriers stating they needed a check for the freight in the amount of $1500. I immediately made calls to Scott's cell phone and sent urgent emails - he did not respond to anything. I was able to negotiate with the freight company for a bit lower rate and we paid the freight in order to get our forklift. What a joke! The battery was dead and wouldn't hold a charge. The charger was not with the unit even though it was promised, the tires were flat on one side so they were obviously not "newer". In order for us to get this forklift in any kind of working condition will cost us another $9131. Scott has not returned any call or email. We sent him a registered letter to his home and he did not accept the letter. His ebay store was under the name greatcozmetics2009. His business name for this transaction was Nor-Cal Industrial. We are preparing to file charges with the Police, ebay, and other reporting facilities. I have now read that he also has done this same sort of thing under the company name of Sweeper Tech Equipment company. This man and his wife, Nicole ( the fax # is linked to her name) are theives and crooks. It's too bad that there are people out there who trust and then run into sopmeone like Scott Beadles that is out in the world preying on companies all day, every day.
