I purchased a Nokia N73 Music Edition on 24th December from their dealer SIMTEL Mobile Planet at RT Nagar. It was supposed to be preloaded with 100 songs (Legends), but there were none. The package did not consist of a scratch code, nor is the 2Gb Mem is pre-loaded. I complained to the dealer, he asked me to contact Nokia Careline. When I contacted Nokia, they asked me to discuss with dealer. They did give me some code which didn't work. I have spoken to them at least 5-6 times but they are unable to even tell me when will the problem be resolved. On top of that they have been extremely discourteous in their conversation with me. I am sure there is no pre-loaded music in the memory. All they have to do is to take the 2Gb mem and load it at their center, but I don't know why they are not doing this. I am sure there is something seriously wrong with Nokia. I am convinced the attitude at Nokia is "SELL-AND-FORGET".

I am planning to put this episode in the newspapers shortly. People who are thinking of changing their mobile - pls do not buy NOKIA. They suck...

im from Australia.
My nokia n73 has major problems.
i used to buy nokia all the time but was offered a good deal from samsung so took it a while back, had that phone for quite a while til it had an "accident" so i needed to buy a new phone i had had good experiences with nokia in the past but it seems as soemone has already stated they have decreased in quality over the years.

here is a list of my complaints.
-back light to screen only works occasionally.
-bluetooth will not turn on/off will only do what it wants.
-since day 1 i have only had a battery l;ife of 2-3dyas and i hardly use my phone at all.
-misses calls, when people call it says my phone is busy or switched off.
-screen jumbles changes color and goes pixelated.
-when it does let a call through the ringtones only play when they want to.
-the camera does not always turn on when you open the camera cover.
-the whole phone is really really slow to do anything...it takes ages to open a text or anything...
- says "insert sim card" "sim rejected" "no signal" all the time and nooo nokia it is not my card it works fine in other phones.
-it apparenty comes with games but there was none on mine...they are no where to be seen...
-the buttons dont alwasy work either..

i have sent it away many times since it was purchased it was spend 60% of its time in nokia care centre apparently being fixed.

it didnt work when i bought it it didnt work when it has been sent back for repairs many times and it certainly doesnt work now.

I have rang nokia numerous times and still no help...
i think i am entitled to a replacement or refund but according to the (extremely rude uncaring) staff at nokia care nokia does not offer this all i can do is keep ringing up and asking for help and sending it back and forth to nokia care until my warrantee runs out...

i must say i will not go back to nokia...EVER AGAIN...and i advise others not to aswell...

HI friends,

I want to share my experience with NOKIA cell phones with you and want to ALERT you regarding the drastic drop in it's quality in recent years.

The Nokia that once upon a time was famous for it's quality and thus managed to get a upper hand than other player is now not the same.

Here are my experiences and sure that I am not the only one:

1. I bought a Nokia 6670 and after 1 year it's keypad started giving some problem, I took it to NOKIA care ( bigest mistake) they told me that there was some problem with keypad and they fixed it and charged me around Rs 300 but after one week same problem came again and after a long struggle they were ready to repair the phone again but again the same thing and after 2 weeks it again had the same problem. I thought that Nokia care center has some problem and took it to different nokia care they charged me Rs 650 and told me that they have fixed the problem but after 1 week the phone again had the same problem and when I took it again they fixed it but again after 2 weeks that phone stopped working after that neither I had time nor money to spend so I decided to buy new phone. But the excellent care of Nokia care didn't stop here please keep reading.

2. I bought a Nokia 2626 and on the first day I found that the display had some problem and the dealer had replaced the phone (again the quality).

3. I got a replaced Nokia 2626 and it worked well for 2 months and after that suddenly one day it stopped working and when I gave it to dealer, after 3 weeks he informed me that it is water damage and said that Nokia is asking rs800 to repair the set but I am 100% sure that the phone never came in contact of water but still I though that set may have come in contact to sweat bc's I can't think of any other reason.
So I collected the set from dealer and gave it to Nokia care myself and after 3 weeks this is the reply that I got

"ELS failed.liquid log on system connector, INTER track MISSING, so not in warranty can't be repair so RWR"

I don't know how without anything the set came to this state and when first time nokia was ready to repair it for 800 how come second time it can’t be repaired. I am sure that now nokia care is full of incapable guys who has no or very minimum knowledge and I can't have more strength to be with nokia and switching to motorola.

In case you have any plan of buying a nokia phone I will suggest you to visit any nokia care shop and you will come to know about the customer’s frustration with the quality.

In case anyone knows about any legal possibility in this case and had such experience please let me know.

BYE BYE nokia and NOKIA CARE you SUCKS.

Dear All,

Kindly find my story as I bought a Nokia N73 in April 2007.a few days ago, my mobile was fallen down at home on the ground and I found some difficulties in using the mobile's mouse.

I went to Raya 'the official Nokia distributor in Egypt 'with my guarantee purchases from RAYA and my valid insurance. I filled an application described what's happened than and I got a receipt from the store after delivering my handset 3 days later, I was contacted by the company care hotline telling me that I have to pay 350 pounds as the maintenance found a liquid in my mobile which matching with a comment added from the employee's store although I didn't say that while my conversation or in the application.

and in consequence the damage won't be covered by the guarantee or the insurance.

They educated me that due to the employee's comment, they asked for these charges.

I went to the store and contacted the hotline care# may times and the customer care of Nokia international in Dubai to inform them that it's wasn't my comment and in all circumstances, the insurance must cover the damage.

but finally after this bad treatment and the wrong information I got a reply that I must pay the charges and nothing I can do except to complaint without any feedback.

I lose my loyalty and my trust in Nokia and Raya. And after this accident, I will never buy a Nokia's handset again and I will advise my colleagues and friends with the same.

I also had endless problems with my Nokia N73, my husband has the same phone and also he has lots of problems. We went to a Vodacom shop and they said that there is nothing wrong with our phones, I even phoned Nokia and had no response from them. I had the worst person on line and she was very rude. I do understand they have alot of queries about the N73, but I am sure they can make a plan, to at least help us in a proper manner. I help pay their salaries. Someone told me the faults that me and hubby experience must be network problems, but come on how can it always be network problems. We all now that this is the worst phone ever and that Nokia can really help us with this issue.

My husband lost alot of work because of this stupid phone. I would want to take legal action, but would want to know what els we can do. The worst part is that when my husbands customers phoned him the reply on the phone was "the subscriber you have dialed does not exist". Now tell me is this not enough reason to take legal action. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THESE STUPID PHONES. I have used Nokia since my first phone but be sure I will no longer use Nokia. I lost all trust. I also got these phones on my contract in Dec 2006. I am sure the first batch of these phones were all dusts. I am also working for a big company and we belief in customer care and that it is important that our CSI is above 94%. But Nokia call centre will not get this type of CSI from me. I would like to get answers from them or I will take this matter further. HELP!

I have also had problems with a new phone... erratic texting, calls not accepted, battery going flat suddenly. When I phoned Orange they said they had so many faults that they would take it back and ask me to choose another phone. Will I go for Nokia again...

I am also going to face the problem. I have purchased N72 on 25.8.2007 with my hard earned money. On 6.9.2007 in the morning a call was made on this phone. It rang and vibrated and the set became dead. I contacted the dealer. He told me that this set has become dead and it would be sent to Company. If it would be repairable, it would be done and if not repairable, the company will give you new set. This process will take 25 days from 8.9.2007.

Now, what will happen, I will see after 25 days as promised to me by dealer.

Dear Firends,
My story is similar to you.Even When I have complaint them at Nokia Care at South Extn New Delhi,They ask me to deposit my handset. Then I asked them to give me a replacement of handset which they denied.Even I feel one strange thing about my N73 ME is that while listening the music once you make call then suddenly the music becomes very louder at the connection of the call. Which is a software problem.Even the FM quality is very bad in this handset.

I have deposited my n-73, purchased in the month of nov 06 to hcl india authorised for nokia repair on 22 dec 06. Nokia india people told me to collect my phone on the next week. They dont even bother to give me a side by cell for my routine calls. Till date i am being tossed up to come to next week. They dont even tell me the exact status of my phone. They have only one sentence to say " we are seeking component from our bangalore branch". I dont know why they are showing their stupidity. I have purchased n-73 with my hard earned money for my use not for the deposition in nokia care for ever.
Many times over phone i have got answers from nokia care that people are rushing down to purchase nokia handset. And we are not able to provide service to all the persons in time. I want to know if hcl infonet is unable to provide a prompt service to customer of nokia. Then why nokia still sticking with hcl.
If some one from nokia is reading my complaint/ my grievance

Yes my friend, I fully agree with you. When attempting to play the songs legends it asks for activation. While activating it asks for phone number and scratch code. Where are they provided? A good way to bluff.
