Nobis Technology / Darkstar LLC

1 Bloomington, IL, United States Review updated:
Contact information:

Darkstar is engaged in unacceptable and abusive business practices. The company offers hosting for various servers including Ventrilo voice servers. The company makes it nearly impossible to cancel their services. Even after you cancel they will continue to attempt to bill you for the services. They will use long outdated credit card numbers and continue to bill year after year. They will contact you and tell you that you owe them for some of the service fee. Even after negotiating a canceled policy they will repeat the same harassement the following year. This is a horrible company.

This is completely false actually. There is a way to cancel your account within your account itself, and if you have issues, you can create a ticket with their company and they will review your account for you for cancellation. The only way your account will be attempted to be rebilled, is if you have not submitted a cancellation request or have not canceled it within your account...

They have a policy as well that you can submit a ticket 72 hours AFTER being billed for renewal, and get a refund...

So I don't see what your issue really is

I've had the same problem after having an account with the company for 5 years. They've been terribly rude and as someone else here mentioned tried to bully me into paying for a service I no longer wanted. They never asked why I had canceled only tried to force me to pay them for a poor service.

Find another voice chat provider, avoid Darkstar like the plague. Their service of late has been terrible (repeatedly would cease to function during MMO raids) and the only update on their site was "DDoS attack". Service would be down for hours and no reimbursement for the outages.
