I bought Nivea Visage Daily Moisturiser Naturally Even For Normal and Combination skin. After the first day the side of my face was slightly swollen, my eyelid was drooping and my skin was red. After the second day's application it got worse. My neck was also itching and stinging. I immediately stopped using the product. The symptoms actually got worse and I did not want to go anywhere. After the 4th day I weny to a pharmacy and showed her the tube of moisturiser. She suggested I put milk on my skin, which I did and the symptoms and uneasiness were relieved. It still has not disappeared. She also commented that it was strange that nowhere on the tube a list of the ingredients appeared. I am hoping that these horrible symptoms will disappear completely, but more important I want to know which ingredient could have caused this situation so that in future, I can choose products which do NOT contain this ingredient.
Should ALL the ingredients not be listed on the tube/container?
Hope you can help me?
Helena

We use it everyday but we found something inside that doesn't belong there it's a black object and now I'm worried because I use it on my face. Is this something I need to worry about?

Because every single person from my house uses the cream even my toddler

I'm just worried I've never seen anything like this before on a Nivea cream..

After using Nivea intensive moisture body serum my arms and neck broke out into itchy hives. It has been a few days and my hives are just getting worse. Really regret getting this product. Nivea is a well known brand and really disappointed to see this happening. Please remove this product from the market and for consumers do not buy this.

I’ve been using the Nivea Intense Healing 72 hour lotion for about 2 months now. I’ve been having tenderness and itchyness around my neck for about as long as I’ve been using the lotion. My neck is so tender tat I cannot even wear my work lanyard or any collars. I haven’t been able to figure out what it is, but now am suspecting it’s the lotion as I have never had this issue before.

My husband broke out in terrible hives after using the Nivea essentially enriched 48hr nourishing moisturizer. I started using this product a few years ago. I recommended he start using the same product since it keeps my sensitive skin decent throughout the day. The hives started drying up once I realized what was causing it. I feel terrible for him and pray that his skin heals properly. What in the world is in this stuff?

OMG thank God I found this thread, I’ve been so confused on what was causing my allergic reactions. I have used Nivea Q10 lotion for years now but I ran out some three weeks and only got the Nivea Body Cream Irresistibly Smooth with Deep moisture Serum & Shear Butter for Dry Skin. I’m just realizing now that the day I started applying it was the day the itching, hives, skin rashes and swelling up began. I went and bought anti histamines but they only numbed the pain for a few hours as I had not stopped using the Nivea. My doctor referred me to an allergist but because of the Coronavirus my allergist is closed so I haven’t gone yet. I continued using the Nivea unknowingly and the problem kept worsening, I just found out tonight after my hands felt dry, I took the Nivea and applied it which is when the hands got swollen. I’m throwing out the lotion. Thank God I wasn’t using it on my face. I had even stopped going to work because of the allergies

For many years I had been using your extra sensitive eye make-up remover and was very satisfied. It is no longer available and so I am trying the double effective eye make-up remover. My eyes have become reddened and irritated with this product.

Please bring back the excellent extra sensitive eye make-up remover.

I bought this new antiperspirant deodorant and within days had rashes developing under my armpits. This has never happened before with any deodorant or antiperspirant product. My doctor has assessed that this is not a topical allergy but chemical burn. I cannot recommend this product.

I have had an allergic reaction to nevia, oil of olay and dove products. I cant find what chemical is a common denominator in all three. Before use of any of these products, I would suggest patch test.

I bought Nivea SPF 30 UV Face Q10 Anti-Age Moisturizer - after a few use, my eyes began to itch and swell up.
Thought it was just me overloading on skin care product, but so glad to read that it wasn't just my skin care routine. But for such a large and what I thought was a reputable company- they should be liable for a law suit- from reading this board there seems to be a large number of people reacting adversely to their products.
Since the incident, I now check other product ingredients to ensure it does not include the same dangerous ingredient as what that Nivea cream contained. But have to say, suspicious how this cream isn't widely available in most stores now. Agree, stay away from NIVEA.

I just had a MASSIVE reaction to Nivea night time moisturizer. My skin went into hives and my entire face swelled up. I took a Benadryl right away and throughout the night the swelling finally began to come down slightly.
I went to the doctor this morning and he has now prescribed me with a steroid to assist.

NEVER AGAIN will I buy a Nivea product.

I had the worst severe allergic reaction to nivea body wash ever in life! to make a long agonizing story short, but hopefully informative. I suffered for two agonizing months so sure I had bed bugs, some kind of mites, or mold in my home! I am severely allergic to mold, so thought sure it was mold. after spending $300 in pesticide sprays and treatments, mold inspectors out twice, a/c vents checked, cleaned, professional exterminator out twice, and total carpet replacement in my home!... my severe reaction turned out to be the nivea body wash!
I did not sleep for two months, threw away clothing, bedding, rugs, shoes because my symptons were it felt like something was literally always crawling or biting me... no visible mice, no visible red marks, etc. just literally something crawling all over my skin, and even effect my eyelids! I felt it in my clothing, shoes, everywhere! it was awful... I finally subcummed to the emergency room, where they had to hook me up to an iv and give me steroids and benydryl... I was finally able to sleep in er for about four hours... blood teat showed no parasitic infections, etc. diagnosis... severe allergic reaction... they could not tell me precisely what allergen was, but told me to refrain from whatever new lotions, bodywash, etc. I have been using... I had started using nivea three months prior... loved the stuff! after, me ceasing from using it... my severe symptoms disappeared and after five day steroid and benedryl use... so grateful to god!

Same happened to me, but it was to Nivea shampoo ("express care", supposed to moisture as well - made my hair straw dry). In shower foam would get on my arms and upper body, and oh god... Every 1-2 days I changed my bed sheets and pajamas, had to start anti-allergy drugs, considered bed insects or even monkey pox... I never had itching like that! I got really bad acne on my shoulders, arms and even on body skin. Also non-stopping redness, irritation and dry skin patches.

Then i kinda figured it out when skipped a day of bath because I was itching like crazy. I got it that after shower it would only got worse.

I checked ingredients even before buying the shampoo, but afterwards did it again - and I still don't get it what could be the allergen. I think it depends on quality and proportions of probably common ingredients like Sodium Laureth Sulfate or Natrium Chloride. Maybe cocoa-related stuff, it can cause allergy. But really, I thought it was the best list of ingredients ever for a budget shampoo, so simple and safe. Turned out to be tricky.

I was under my gp for over a year for my reactions & I never in this world suspected it was the Nivea sensitive creams I blamed makeup soap shampoo evrything but Nivea which I thought was so tried & trusted, I spent a fortune on wasted products & medication, I got so bad I had an emergency hospital appointment & after extensive tests I found out it had been Nivea all along. I will never go near it again I too wrote to them & was sent £10 voucher "totally disgusted" Linda Lawrence

I used nivea shower moose a new product ..on the 2nd use my skin was really itchy even the palms of my hands and soles of my feet felt like I'd got sunburnt my skin felt so hot I don't have a rash just hives randomly appearing and disappearing. Got some antihistamines and cream from the doctors I have stopped using the product for over a week now but if I don't take the antihistamine the itch comes back . Very very annoying iv never had an alergic reaction to anything before

I Used Nivea Simply Soft and a severe dash developed on both my arms and legs...Have had a steroid shot and my rash is still bright red. Had never in a million years expected this to happen. The sun makes it worse and try to avoid at all costs. And everyone who mentioned it before, they should have some type of warning label on their products. WILL NEVER buy Nivea again!

I recently used nivea sun with terrible results, badly swollen itchy face, eyes, nose and ears, cheeks were like orange skin hard and lumpy I had oozing ear lobes also a rash on every part of my skin that I had applied it resulting in me having to attend A&E, I investigated it on Google and it appears that many people have suffered the same problem and in doing so I also found out that they have their products tested on animals which I am seriously agsinst

It took me a few days to decide it was the nivea men's body wash and not my A & H deodorant (purchased at same time and I usually buy what target has on sale name brand hygiene products) that had my armpits on fire. Swollen bumps had me thinking it was my noids and I had the C. I guess I was worried because I've never been allergic to anything but pollen and some cats. It seems like a long time and a lot of complaining to still sell it, even if the ingredient is in several products.

We have purchased your 200 ml nivea creme from our local ambala market few months back.Sir/Madam, I'm using your nivea creme since last more than 10 years, but this time thi product seems to be substantandard and when, I open the lid of the container for use, heavy quantity of water droplets appears on the surface of the creme and lid.Sir/Madam, how a prestigious and standard company like you can cheat with it's own customers and the such kind of goods in the market.so You are requested to kindly look into this matter urgently and seriously at your earlist

I used the Q10 cream for four nights until I figured out what was causing my reaction. Each night the symptoms got worse. Areas of my face and neck with red swollen and horribly itchy. I would wake up in the middle of the night clawing at my face. It was a nightmare! Never touching a Nivea product ever again.

After two applications, I developed a painful, burning, itching rash on the entire length of my arms and including my hands. I work and it is so embarrassing for people to see this. I have scratched until it bleeds. It is a very puffy, very red, raised rash covering the entire surface of arms and hands. I have pictures.

Oh my god, this is what happened to my waist area after using NIVEA body cream wash (body wash). It took me, nearly 4 weeks to finally realised the body wash that may cause it. And I still have 3 new bottles that I don't what to do with.

I've used Nivea products in the past...two weeks ago I ran out of Nivea cocoa butter body lotion so I went to the store to buy more, but the store did not have it in stock. I opted for Nivea original moisture...it was a nightmare! My body was bright red swollen and horribly itchy. I had to get a steroid injection and take it for 5 days. Never again will I use nivea products, NEVER!

I used the regular nivea on my face and it was fine. I am getting older and I need the age appropriate cream for my skin, so I tried
moisturizing day cream. Well the next morning my face was swollen, red, flakey in places, just a mess, I can't figure out why as I've always used the regular nivea cream with no problems, I guess there must be a ingredient that is it this, that is not in the normal day cream am trying to find a phone number so I can get my money back or at least another product. I cannot/will not go out my door, I do not want to be seen by anyone looking like this, all I do is cry

Yes I absolutely agree with all of the other complaints, I only used it once and my neck and face is itching and has red sore patches all over. I have never reacted before to other face cream I have used. Will never buy, recommend or use nivea night cream or nivea products ever again.

I used Nivea Q10 back in 2009 and I've only found this site now but I must report what happened to me. It was the eye cream that I used and I applied it under my eyes. On day 3 I noticed a small spot of redness under one eye. I stopped using it and it progressively got worse until I ended up in ER. I took pictures as well. My head actually was a different shape on the sides do to all the swelling. It was red and looked like hives and itched like crazy! You could barely see my actual eyeballs due to all the swelling. I ended up having to take prednisone to get my skin to stop reacting. It took 10 days to go away and then it peeled badly. I now have loose skin there. I am NOT impressed and will NEVER touch Nivea products again!

I was using Nivea Q10 Night Cream and had a bad allergic reaction around my eyes. They became red and puffy and itchy, then started to become really dry and flakey. This went on for weeks and I bought all new make-up because I never expected it to be my night cream when I was always told Nivea is so gentle!
I looked like I had been punched on both eyes. Luckily I figured it out and started using hydrocortisone cream and it cleared up.

I used Nivea Visage Vital Anti-aging Eye Care only twice around my eyes. I developed a red rash on each eyelid, little bumps and scaly skin. My eyelids are swollen and severely stinging and itchy. My doctor just prescribed hydrocortisone cream which I hope does some good. I look like I have "piggy eyes". Avoid this product!

I used Nivea q10 pore refining day cream recently. After two days I stopped using it as I had developed small pimples all over my face and neck. Then areas around my mouth and noise became red, dry, flaky and sore. I also developed a rash on my stomach though the doctor thought this was an unrelated virus. The doctor prescribed 0.1% hydrocortisone cream which seems to be doing some good to around my mouth and chin, but now my eyelids are sore, puckered and wrinkly. I feel hideous. Nivea/Biersdorf you are a disgrace! It has been over one week and I just seem to be developing new horrible symptoms. I wish I could afford a dermatologist to help me, but I'm just going to have to wait and hope. Thanks Nivea!

I had dry skin and I normally just used this coco butter stuff. But I ran out and used some of my moms Nivea cream in a blue round blue container but unlike previous posters this one has ingredients on the bottom. I have no clue what that stuff is anyways or if I would be allergic. After about a week my dryness started to spread and got really itchy eventually it started to swell and kind of blister. I looked up my symptoms and I thought I had shingles. So I went to the clinic and the doctor agreed I have shingles but said it was odd for someone so young to get it especially on the face. Couple weeks later it went away, and I started using it again for dry skin and the next day it came back and now I'm pissed because of this. I can't go outside it's embarasing. Never will I use this product again. I hope it goes away and never comes back this is horrible.

I used Nivia aftershave barm for many years. I noticed about two years ago that they added a small green symbol to the label and it was the content of that bottle that started off swelling and a rash. Stopped using it all together as I can not buy any of the original product that does not bear th new symbol. This is almost certainly across the whole range of products. Its a shame as it was so good before this change.

Hi I bought Nivea Sensitive shower gel my head broke out in a rash. I get this rash with a presevative methylisothiazolinone MI which is not declared on the bottle they say I must be allergic to another ingredient
