[Resolved] Newstead Technologies Pte Ltd / Microsoft Surface 3
We purchased a Surface 3 on Xmas day from Newstead store at Jurong Point. After we got it home, we found the touch screen not working ( sales person only tested the keyboard and set-up some stuff for us in store, and we did not really test the touch screen, as who would think a new unit not working? ). We returned to store the next day, both sales person and store manager tested this unit, and it is indeed default, then they requested us to restore this unit (formatting), might help to solve this problem. We spent few hrs at home to do it, still not working, then we returned to store again on 27 Dec. Then store manager said they are not responsible for anyting after you purchase this unit and leave the store, and you can only go online to do Microsoft waranty register for repaire or replacement. I am personally quite shocked for their response. It is faulty unit, they do not deny its faulty but they will not exchange a new one for me. This is a really bad experience and especially their store manager's attitute, he even said " if you want to complaint, call CASE lor, call police lor"... We bought this Surface 3+Key board SGD 1097 in total, should be a good gift for self for Xmas. However, it is all ruined not only because it is faulty, but the store manager at Jurong Point such unprofessional and outrageous behavior.
Newstead Technologies customer care service did everything in their power to resolve this complaint. All attempts to contact the complaint author have failed. Therefore, this complaint has been annulled and must not be considered where company image and it's services are concerned.
