On Monday, 08/08/2011, between 12:00 & 12:30 midday, as I was making an EFTPOS payment for a purchase made, before I entered my PIN number, due to the number of people standing close by waiting to be served, I brought the card machine close to me to keep my PIN entry personal/protected. Whilst entering my PIN details, the man serving behind the counter made the comment, "Oh don't pull the machine out that far, you'll break the cord! Christ almighty!" The man behind the counter continued mumbling to himself. I then replied with, "excuse me, please don't speak to me like that. If it's such a problem, perhaps you should consider getting a cordless machine." He then rudely replied, "yeah and what do you think would happen if I did that?". I replied with, "well what am I supposed to do? I shouldn't have to expose my PIN number to the world." He rudely replied, "well if you want your tickets given back to you all crumpled..." I did not hear the rest of what he was rudely going on with as I just wanted to get out of there. As a customer I did not deserve that treatment and am extremely disgusted with the service. This is the same man who previously, whilst serving me, also commenced serving people waiting behind me and finished with them first. Although I was not happy about that at the time, I did not feel the need to make a complaint. However, since this incident, I ask that something be done about this man. He either needs to improve his customer service skills or allow someone to replace him that knows about appropriate customer service.
