Netmop / Netmop - dont try it

The website offers computer protection from porn, etc but I found it to be more annoying than protecting. I removed it from my computer and I emailed for them to cancel the billing.

I was told to call them so when I called a woman with a crying baby answered the phone so I hung up. The account was not cancelled so about a year later I see in my paypal account they are still billing me.

So I email again to cancel this billing and that it hasn't been on my computer in a year. They again tell me to call them to cancel. When I finally remember to call, the person on the phone questioned why I wanted to cancel and then offered nothing for a confirmation of the cancellation and was puzzled when I asked for a confirmation.

Then they billed me for another month. I emailed them to refund this and I was told to go to paypal to cancel the subscription.

Anyone that has a paypal account knows it doesn’t work that way.

I do not recommend this service. They don't seem to be a corporation but maybe individuals trying to offer this service without the customer service they should be offering for this type of service.

CAUTION IN USING NETMOP!!! Their software might work just fine, but there is no "BILLING" department. Once you pay them i.e. paypal, that money is gone. There are no refunds, there is no billing support. Their corporate office at 151 e 600 N, OREM UT, is a 900 sq ft, 3 bdrm house. Paypal is unable to reach them they do not return calls. I have open billing entries on my account dating to December 2007 that has not been responded too.

Load this program onto your computer at your own risk. If you have problems don't expect any help - there is absolutely NO customer service. Once loaded it takes over your computer, as far as what websites you may access. If you decide to not renew, good luck. If you stop the automatic renewal by closing your credit card account, or by notifying the c.c. company to not allow future charges, the pop-ups reminding you to renew will never stop. The only way to get rid of the program is to do a complete format and reloading of Windows.
There are other programs that offer equally good filtering for a similar charge, and also have real customer service. If you have such an addiction to the wrong websites that you need this program to protect yourself, you'd be better off throwing out your computer.
