So I too got a collect call, entered my credit card number and then I was never connected to my caller! I stayed on the phone for less than 1min saying "hello..hello?" and nothing so I hung up. Checked my account and was charged $30.00! So I called the company and they said that it shows that I talked for 6mins! Called back and another guy said that no matter if you talk for 6seconds or 6mins it's $30.00 bucks. He said that you are charged for 6min increments at a time...so long story short for every 6mins it's another $30.00! I'm upset because they never CONNECTED my call that I paid for! Just $30.00 worth of dead air.

Same story. There representative said there is a prompt that explains the fees. Never heard it. Simply told me to enter my credit card information and then the phone number. She said, "it is up to the consumer to discover the fees before making the call." The worst part about it is that the consumer has no recourse. These people are making money of people in one-time emergency situations. I wish the BBB actually had a presence in America.
