Nationwide Lloyds Insurance / Nationwide is not on your side
On 3/30/09 I received hail damage due to a hailstorm in Grapevine, TX. I called my insurance co - Nationwide Lloyds and they sent an independent adjuxter out to my house. His report was that we didn't have enough damage to meet our deductible. Since all my neighbors had needed new roofs according to their insurance company, I had a roofer come out and sure enough we had received quite a bit of hail damage.
Eventually Nationwide sent out one of their adjusters and yes, I had received roof damage and they decided to pay about $14, 000 for my roof.
However, they refuse to pay for hail damage to the wood decking. Right now we are being dictated by Nationwide how they want to handle this. This is the 2nd time we have had an issue with Nationwide. I should have learned the first time. I found out after reporting Nationwide to the State Board of Insurance that they are one of the companies that have the most complaints with the state board of insurance.
Here it is 6/16/09 - almost 3 months after said hail damage and we still have not had our claim settled. As stated above - NATIONWIDE IS NOT ON YOUR SIDE!!!
