National processing company / Threatening phone call
I received a phone call from an Indian speaking individual yesterday, March 4, 2009 at around 11am. He said he was calling from National processing division, the legal department about a serious matter. He says I owed money on a pay day loan from crown lending and the money had to be repaid. I hung up the phone. This time Frank Hall calls me back, still with a strong Indian accent threating that I owed this money and if I did not pay the police were going to come and arrest me. So I asked for the number to the lending company which switched from crown lending to pay day one loan company. The number he gave me was [protected], when I call another Indian person answers the phone and says hello; asks for my name. I questioned him about the alleged debt owed. He could not answer my questions and hung up the phone on me. I then called Frank Hall back at the number he provided which was [protected]. I told him this was a scam and he put his supervisor on the phone and his name was Kevin. I told him I was going to contact the police if I ever received any more calls from them. He asked me not to call him ever again and that I would be sorry and that the courts would contact me by phone to appear in court within the next few days. I ended the phone call telling him that I'm calling the police and give them all the contact info they gave me. I am outraged, how could they have gotten my info so easily?
