Absolutely stay away from this flight school and all their locations.
They are deceitful and dishonest and have awful business practices. They advertise falsely and students who realize the bad deal they got in and leave early don't get their money refunded and lose 10s of thousands of dollars.

Students who complete their contracts get what they signed-up for. Students that refuse to follow through with what they agreed to may stand to lose something. This is why adults are the ones legally allowed to sign contracts; they understand what it is they are getting into. Students at NPA become teachers for the school after their CFI rating is completed. If you bail on them in the middle of your training, you have wasted their resources without the payback of finishing your contract. That is likely to be the reason you were not reimbursed.

There is also such thing as people who have damaged flight school aircraft and would rather claim foul-play rather than own-up.

I wonder who haywire is? Probably somebody working for NPA, from the looks of it, and since hardly anyone has ever been happy with the training NPA has provided it could only be one of a few people.

NPA shut thier doors at all thier locations recently. A lot of people are out a lot of money. I don't think it's right. NPA did advertise falsly. They said whatever they needed to say to get students to move from thier homes to nearer one of NPA's locations, once the said student arrives a contract that highly favors NPA is thrown at the person. Sure there are things in the contract one might question, but it seems to be a fair agreement. Problem is with the economy in a downturn, and banks not lending money as easily as they were in the past, NPA tells students that as long as they have the money for the private phase, they can start training, and from there it's a matter of having enough to finish your current phase of training plus like twenty percent and your good to fly. Nothing could be further from the truth however, once in the program and the contract has been signed, NPA will not allow students to fly until they recieve the total funds. This after telling the students something contrary to get them stuck in a contract to finish thier training with NPA.

I know multiple students in a situation like this. NPA collected money from them right up to just a few days before they shut thier doors without explaination. Are they planning on reopening? Will students of the school ever recieve thier training, or see thier tuition refunded?

I think there are alot of young pilots out there deserving of some answers from NPA. Young pilots who are in debt with intrest building on thier loans everyday, while they try to figure out where to go from here, and exactly what NPA is doing with thier money. Some of these young men and women put everything on the line to move near an NPA location and flight train, and are now so far in debt with so little training, that they will never accomplish the goals that they attended NPA in hopes of accomplishing. NPA has destroyed the hopes and dreams of many.

The right thing for NPA to do here would be to refund the students money based on average instructor and wet plane rental rates, and not based on NPA's contract which is very expensive at the beginning and gets cheaper at the end of training, since the contract has been broken by NPA. Also, for all students who quit thier jobs and moved near a school in hopes of attending an accelerated flight program, only to sit around and wait for NPA to allow them to fly, or provide the right plane(the cutlass anyone?) NPA should pay back wages lost for the time wasted. None of that will happen though. Former students of NPA are likley screwed.
