National Imaging Systems Inc / Scammed

1 Dallas, TX, United States Review updated:

Our Branch Administrator recieved a call from a telemarketer with this company asking her what kind of printer did we have and if she would be interested in trying one of their toner cartridges risk free. She explained to them how we have always had an account with dell and do not buy from anyone else. They then told her that the cartridge was absolutely free and no strings attached, and if she liked it she could call them and place an order. She then agreed to receive a FREE cartridge. A few weeks later, we received the one free toner and 5 extra toners. We immediately called to get an RA # to return all of the toners. We then received the invoice charging us for all 6 toners at $250 a piece. We then immediately called to get a return authorization to send all 6 unopened toners back. At that time we were informed that no one was there that was authorized to give us an RA# and that we would have to leave a message. We left a message and no one returned our call. A month later, the collections department called to collect on the invoice, we let them know that we had requested a RA# and that we were not paying the invoice. At that time they refused to give us an RA#. The collections lady with whom we spoke with is named Victoria. She refused to accept the merchandise back and refused to give us a sales reps name. We have had several unpolite conversations with this woman and she either hangs up on us or yells and screams at us. These people are complete scammers.

The FTC actually classifies this as a gift. I filed a complaint with the FTC. When the collection department started calling, I let them know I NEVER agreed to pay anything for the Toner and that a complaint had been submitted with the FTC. They tried calling again once, this time just asking for the AP department. In my company calling the AP department doesnt automatically get you paid, the purchaser must submit a request to out department. I kept asking the guy, " who exactly placed the order, this is the only way you are going to get paid" he got angry and said" Well we actually owe you money, guess we wont' be paying" and hung up. It was definitely them.
