NAPA Auto Care Centers of SWF AAA mechanics

To Whom It May Concern:

On March 30th, 2016 I called AAA to have my 2003Sprinter van towed
because it wouldn’t start. The AAA representative recommended Napa
Auto Care Center of SWF in Fort Myers Florida. So I had it towed there
an hour and a half away from my home. My Sprinter van arrived there
at 12:58 PM was told they would diagnose that day. I did not here from
them that day. March 31st they called at 4:43 PM and told me there
was gas in the diesel fuel and would have to drop the tank to clean it
and possibly reline it. April 1st the store manager called at 5:08 PM said
that she was going to try to repair the water in the fuel sensor at home
because she had smaller tools at home. She stated that they found
contamination in the fuel tank. April 4th I called them at 9:19 AM to find
status of vehicle. She called me back at 2:24 PM to state that they
needed to replace sensor. April %th store manager called me at 4:19
PM to tell me that the van started but had no brakes. That it would
cost an additional $1000 to repair leaky brake line.I told her not to
touch it that I would drive down in the morning. April 6th I take a day
off from work drive an hour and a half to Ft. Myers to speak to
mechanic. The mechanic gave me a bottle of the fuel he saved to
prove to me that the fuel was contaminated. I opened it up and what I
smelled was the Diesel Kleen Injector cleaner and performance
improver additive. I told the mechanic and showed him the bottle I
keep in the van behind the drivers seat it is and was the exact same
smell. This additive is to protect pumps and injectors. It was NOT
GASOLINE. The store manager charged me $109.39 to remove 2 bolts
and 2 hose clamps to replace fuel filter, also charged $24.63 for fuel
filter I just replaced. I was charged $328.17 to clean fuel tank that no
other mechanic can say that it was dropped or cleaned . I was charged
$65.63 to flush fuel injector and $38.48 for flush injector kit and
$17.36 for fuel. All unnecessary charges. They did not test the fuel they
just smelled it. I proved it to them that they were wrong. They charged
me for removing an additive that had nothing to do with the vehicle
not starting. The bill was $910.06. . The AAA operator also stated that I
would get a %10 discount from that mechanic because I had AAA
which they denied and refused to give me that discount. I am enclosing
copy of Bill also .

NAPA Auto Care Centers of SWF Fraudulent business practices

From 2/22/2015 - 2/25/2015 this past few days ago, I found a fluid leak - orange colored coming from underneath my truck. I drove my truck down to Napa AutoCare (Amerikar), and spoke with Ninous (Nick) Sargony, aka Nick. Here is our conservation:
My response: "Nick my truck has a leak can you take it in and perform a diagnostic"
His response: "If you leave it with me for a few hours, I'll find the problem."
My response: "Okay and call me when possible".
His response: "I will"

After 2 hours passed, I decided to call him:

His response: "Well, it's a Timing Chain Cover Leak",
My response: "Okay, what is total cost, that is, can you estimate it?"
His response: "it will be between $[protected] to complete the service and repair the problem. We have to drop the engine to get to the proble."
My response: "What do you think I can sell it for"
His response: "I'll check out Mitchell Price Guide and then said, "I'll give you $875.00."

I went home and checked out Kelley Blue Book online and according to their website my estimate was no more than $2900, so basically I could sell it for under $3k. I was thinking something just not sound right here, acccording to what Nick has quoted.
Next, I drove down to his center again and said Nick "You offered me $875.00 to buy my truck, but Kelley Blue Book price was higher than what he quoted. I don't understand the difference, he said Mitchell is for dealers and auto shops to obtain estimate. I said hmmm...it appeared to me that he deducted the amount to do the timing chain repair from the Mitchell price.
Based on my observation, his body language was showing signs of nervousness as I wrote notes down on my note pad. Then I said, hmmm...okay and you quoted me that the repairs would cost $[protected] to drop the engine to perform a service to my timing chain cover, he then said, did I say that...let me check my notes.
Again, I could tell by the tone of his voice and his body motions that he was being a dishonest. Nick said, " let me speak with my mechanic". He came back in and then said, it was a "rear main seal leak". He searched his computer system to find his written write up. His next response was our system purged my notes. That is not accurate, he must have a written record of the service he performed on my vehicle.
His story changed multiple times and at this time I became very very made because I gave him a chance to aplogize, but he continued to attempt to fabricate more lies to protect himself. I told him he is a lying - thieving, predator and will file a complaint against his unethical business practices.
He showed me the problem--it's a "radiator hose leak" as we both looked underneath my truck, "not a timing cover leak". I sold the truck to him and my neighbor said he will testify Nick Sargony's diagnostic is false. He even told me that once he repairs the hose problem, he will give it to me at evidence to validate our claim.
Note:
I researched the internet for complaints against his auto center and found similiar at http://www.yelp.com/biz/amerikar-turlock regarding customer complaints about him recommending unecessary auto repairs.
My observation: There is a pattern of unlawful, suspicious, and fraudulent business activity. He is engaging in unlawful/fraudulent business practices.
My action:
I am filing formal complaints against his auto center in an attempt to expose auto repair fraud and corruption. Please make note of this and inform friends and family not to take your vehicles to his establishment for auto repair. This man is a predator and I am reporting him to organizations that execute justice for consumers.

NAPA Auto Care Centers of SWF Car Repair

My young daughter was driving her Honda and called me with a complaint that the car is running very rough. I told her to take the car to Napa Auto Care (875 N McQueen Dr., Gilbert, Arizona), a place where I took my cars previously for other repairs. After testing and identifying the problem, Jack Griffith the owner, told me that the car has overheated and repairs will be in the range of $1200-$1600. I wanted to get a second opinion and took the car to other mechanic to verify the diagnostics. As it turned out, the car needed new spark plugs and wires since they were cracked and causing to car to run rough. Total cost for repairs $150 and the car runs like new. I lost trust in the Napa Auto Care and cannot help wondering how much money did I paid them for previous repairs that might not been required. I do not recommend this auto repair shop to anyone and will never visit it again, the owner is not trustworthy and technicians aren’t knowledgeable.

NAPA Auto Care Centers of SWF Scam

I am writing to officially launch a serious complain against the Napa Auto Care due to the unfavorable interaction I experienced with this company on the 11/11/2008 and Repair # 2088. On this said instance, I found Napa Auto Care to be extremely deceptive, manipulative and unprofessional. First of all, when I visited the business location of this company I was left unattended by anyone for a little over fifteen minutes while the Manager at the store Rusty stayed at the back doing basically nothing. I had indicated indicated to him when I first walked in that I was in there but apparently he forgot until one of the mechanics came from the back and brought my presence to the attention of Mr. ‘Manager’ Rusty. I had brought in my care for a simple oil change and nothing else. My car was eventually taken to the back for the simple oil change and I waited for nearly an hour longer even though there were no other customers. When I finally received my car a 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser, I was billed a whopping $ 98.03. I was astounded and mad and I said that was not true. I brought it to the attention of Mr. Rusty that the last time I brought my car here for the same service was two months ago and it costed a little over $ 60 which was still very high end. His response was that he had used extra quarts of oil than the last time. But, I said I am buying exactly the same service from the last time of my visit (simple oil change) and he said he knows that but I was not charged right the previous time. It did not make any sense to me at all because I was coming to the same store, the same ownership bringing the same car but I was assessed such arbitrary rates. I asked why I was not informed that I was not charged appropriately in the first place, Mr. Rusty said he is not in position to answer. So I asked to speak to the owner of the place and the name of Jack Griffith was given to me . I called Jack who was serving at another Napa Auto Care on Baseline Road which he owned on the same day while still trying to resolve this matter. At first, Jack could not believe his ears that I was being charged $ 98.03 for a simple oil change. He said ‘no way’! I thought he was going to resolve this matter he turned around and started justifying flimsily that they used synthetic oil on my vehicle. I went on to clarify to him that it is the very same quality of oil I used for the same car the last time I visited then he started dancing around only because he wanted to justify the frivolous rate they were charging me. I was very annoyed and I disheartened and he hung up the phone on me. I called all round the town and there was no other place where they charged up to fifty dollars for oil change for my make and made of vehicle. In fact in most places, prices were in the forties. This is terrible when companies dupe the public like this. Maybe they thought they had met an ignorant African who spoke with an accent but I am not an illegal here neither am I an illiterate. They should not be charging me arbitrarily like this. I am requesting that an investigation be conducted and this matter is resolved with my money refunded. If there are crimes committed, the Napa Auto Care should be fined or shot down.

NAPA Auto Care Centers of SWF Stay away

My car needed to be fixed so my husband called, they told him when I could take it in, I go and they're like leave it with us, I call the next day they say it will be DONE that day but it isn't, and it isn't the day after that either. FINALLY I get my car back the day after that late in the evening almost closing, and the next day my engine light was back on! So I took the car back and they asked for me to leave it there but they weren't going to work on it yet so I told htme I'd bring it back later in the day so I did, and they check and see it was the same problem from the weekend before, which was the oil gauge, which means they DIDN'T fix it the first time or did it with a BAD part is what they said... They gave me an actual APT TIME for the morning of 3 days later to bring the car in, so I did and they act like they had no idea about it! They didn't even ORDER the part I needed! So they had me drive a guy to my own house as their "shuttle service" and he drove it back to the shop. They told me before I left it WOULD BE done that day, 7 hours went by and family members drove up there on my behalf to see what was the hold up, and they told them they had a couple more things to do and it would be done THAT DAY... A couple more hours go by and I still get no call from them, and I check the website for phone number and I call, THEY ARE CLOSED FOR AN HOUR ALREADY! I'm sooo pissed I NEEDED my car tonight! They didn't fix the problem the FIRST time, but under warranty that HAD to fix it again, and they can't even do it AGAIN in the time they tell me! They are slow and incompetent. I WANT MY CAR - In my eyes this is THEFT of my car now...

Mesa, AZ 85209 told me i needed an engine replaced for a blown spark plug. with over $ 7208.00 spent the won't honor the warranty . They want another 496.45 $ to repair a intake manifold gasket that leaks. Said it's not covered under warranty. NAPA autocare doesnt warranty work done by another shop. When it says NATION WIDE PEACE OF MIND warranty. Don't believe it. I was told they don't . You're on your own for warranty work . Napa auto has no honor. Buyer beware they will cheat you.

NAPA Auto Care Centers of SWF Bad business practices

This owner is the most rude, unethical and unbusiness like. I sent my car to this shop and told them not to do any repairs without authorization. They didnt listen, did it anyways and wanted me to pay. My warranty company refused to have this shop repair my car because the owner refused to do the services the right way. When I took my car to another shop he stole parts off of my car and damaged them.
