I ordered a cd about how to apply for government grants and was told that I would be charged $2.95. They said that the cd was free and I just had to pay for shipping. I just got my cc statement and they charged me $39.95. This is credit card fraud and if $39.95 is not credited back to my card by the end of February, 2009. I will contact the Texas Attorney Generals Office and file a complaint for, interstate credit card fraud. Mabey the U.S. Attorney's office would be interested in this.

Man, I am so glad I found this site. I too was taken advantage of, couldnt beleive it.
My fraud protection at my bank caught it for me and contacted me and gave me a heads up. I am on hold with them this very minute. I hope it doesnt take 16 minutes. I didnt get a cd. they sent me some kind of program and it wouldnt even open. What a rip off. I came across their site on fastweb.com. Going to try and contact fastweb a tell them they should be a lil more choosey on who they let advertise there. Kids go to their site in order to look for scholarships.

I have just cancelled this "government grants" scam. I never received an email from this with more information and have yet to received their "free" cd. I contacted customer service and have gotten confirmation codes for this cancellation. Hopefully they will not charged my account. I have also sent an email to their customer service department and have stressed the same desire to cancel this "stuff". I HAVE LEARNED A VERY VALUABLE LESSON WITH THIS! Hard work is how you get ahead in life, THE GOVERNMENT ONLY HELPS OUT BIG BUSINESS NOT PEOPLE WHO DO AN HONEST DAYS WORK!

NOW MAYBE I CAN GET SOME SLEEP WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT SOMEONE TAKING MY HARD EARNED MONEY OUT FROM UNDER ME.

Good luck to those who have had more of a loss than I have.

This guy is maliciously talented at misrepresentation.
Here he explains up front and clearly what he does not in his site.
In his site he does exactly the opposite of what he, here, apologizes for: He inverts what he wants you to see and stand out and diminishes and subdues what he doesn't want you to see.

Bottom line: There would not be so many people complaining of the same, exact scheme.
People don't take time to complain in "complaintsboards.com" if they were not
driven by a feeling of having been duped and misled into spending their hard
hard earned money, in these difficult times.
Mygrantsite.net can solve this problem very simply by laying out, menu
style, the choices the reader can select.

First of all you are not giving out the right number! I just called and spoke to customer service today the number is [protected]. They were polite and helpful.

Here are the terms listed on the site that show we are the idiots for not reading them before ordering!

Terms and Disclosures. By clicking "Submit", I am ordering the Grant Master CD™ and trial membership for $1.14 S&H, after the seven day trial I will be charged $39.95 plus a processing fee of $1.25 a month thereafter if I do not cancel. I also agree to the fourteen day and twenty-one day bonus trials to Search Market Members™ and Network Agenda™ for $7.95 a month and $9.95 a month thereafter, should I choose not to cancel. I have read and agree to the Privacy Policy / Terms and Conditions. Charges will appear on credit/debit statements as "www.mygrantsite.net". For questions, call [protected]. Customer service hours are now available 24 hours a day

PEOPLE!
call [protected]

Make sure you tell them to cancel ALL services there are up to three you inadvertantly signed up for buying the CD.

The fine print is listed on the site and we are all idiots for not reading it!

I just found the site through GOOGLE and it says in really tiny letters right under the really big SUBMIT button that we will be charged a monthly fee and many others for affiliate services.

I was on hold 16 minutes but when they finally picked up - they were more than happy to cancel the services for me...ALL OF THEM!

Here they are:

My Discover card has a $2.29 charge for a CD on 02-01-09;
on 02-09-09 there was a charge of $39, 95 . Again on 02-11-09
there was another charge of $2.29 for a CD and on 02-19-09 there
was another charge of $39.95. I certainly want to have one $2.29
returned and the two charges for $39.95 credited to my account.
Thank you

Like others that have written--a CD was $2.29 on 02-01-09;
another charge if $39.95 was taken also on 02-09-09
and again on 02-19-09 another charge of $39.95. There is no
phone number to call only an email address of
www.mygrantsite.net
There is also a number of 877-495 with the address of Las Vegas.NV
I certainly want this money returned.

Thank you, I called that number and got everything cancelled. For anyone else calling the [protected] number to cancel these charges on your credit card, remember to ask them to cancel all other subscriptions becuase they automatically enroll you other program which require additional fees.

I have seen so many of these emails/advertisements. Thankfully, I did not put in my credit card number. Occasionally, a "live chat" will appear when I try to close the site. I start the chat and say "I'll try it for free, then pay you when I have earned the fee."

No luck!

I did finally stumble into a program that is real and legitimate. It is 15 years old. I joined last December and have been paid. It's not much right now, but my AlertPay account has money! If you would like to know more about this program, please email me at holdermb@yahoo.com with "Please send more info." in the subject line. Thanks.

I authorized $1.14 for a CD on grants. They have taken the $39.95 that is the membership access fee. I haven't agree to join anything yet. The wording on the form is "Membership access is $39.95 per month should you choose to continue! This is an unauthorized charge and I won't stop complaining until I get a refund! The phone number only rings no answer!

I don't want to make anyone feel stupid, but before you complain about this site you should go back to your agreement and READ THE FINE PRINT! I to thought I was beeing scamed untill I called the number to complain about the $39.95 and after a little research they did have the right to charge my card. But after talking to them on the phone we straightened it out and got the money back. Call custer service at [protected] Just remember its not a scam and they do offer a good product.

all they said is that they'd send a cd and all you have to do is pay for shipping charges, right?

the same thing happened to me. call this number: [protected].

apparently we are automatically subscribed to something i'm not even sure what.
tell them your complaints and they'll unsubscribe you and refund you your money back.

hope this helps!

I have about the same scenario as other victims of fraudulant scams. I paid 2.29 for shipping and handling and before, I could confirmed anything I was charged 39.95. What appears frantic was giving my debit card number away, another charge of 7.94 have appeared of my bank statement from a supposebly business fund in Nevada. I want my refund and a stop any further payment from this scam!

I agree, this is a scam from the word go, as I have also had a bogus charge put on my card, at the bank . I have contacted the supposedly legit company and put on hold 4 times, as of yet to talk to anyone, so I will let the Lawyers handle this one, , , , they are in the process of pursuing the complaint right now and will stop payment preceedings today, , this is truely a scam and the Texas Atty. General will hear about this I can assure you.

I am very upset that I fell for this scam. Free money my foot! I should have known! I called the [protected] for customer service and have been on hold for 5 minutes and spoke to Audrey (in the Phillipines). She said she would process the cancellation for me and gave me a cancellation code of: CNJ12644748 (Grant Site Media); CNJ12644746 (Search Market Membership); CNJ12644745 (Network Agenda). She assured me that my CC would not be charged. So we will see! Stay posted, because I will be back if they don't follow through!

Audrey wanted to know why I wanted to cancel the program and I said because it is fraudulant. She just laughed. Obviously, she is not worried about her money!

Don't fall for this! First as you can see everyone else is getting charged - not the $2.99 but a much larger charge - I am hoping by contacting customer service that I can avoid this. We will see. There was a download of a CD on my computer but it would not allow me access and the last update of this CD was in 2005 - so this is definitely not current grant info as they proclaim. LC

Thank you Richard for posting that number. I have been seaching for this scammer site and I couldn't find it. I received a call today from my bank telling me a 39.95 charge was posted after I order a FREE grant CD fror 2.99! I called this number and told him I wanted reimbursement. He insisited that on the order form it tells you that you will be a comanion program for which you are charged MONTHLY. I told him that I ordered this from an ad on a different site. He told me to go to there site and gave the address, I went there and there was no site! I told him this, argued a while longer and he finally agreed to credit my card and cancel the TWO companion programs they entered me in. BEWARE...this is a HUGE RIP-OFF!

I am, at this very moment, on hold with mygrantsite.net, trying to get a refund of $39.95. I spoke with one very pleasant lady and have been waiting for more than 10 minutes to speak with her supervisor. I also received an offer to receive a CD to get a government grant in order to start a small business. I was told that I would only be paying the $1.99 for shipping. About a week later, I received a charge on my debit card to quickgrantpro, in the amount of $29.95, which overdrew my account. I had that charge reversed by my bank. A week or so later, I was charged by mygrantsite.net for $39.95. Although this charge didn't overdraw my account, it drained my account. I missed three days of work because I didn't have gas money. I work 60 miles from where I live. My banker looked this organization up and saw that they had numerous complaints online. As I finish this writing, I am still on hold. I was advised not to drop the call as it would take longer for me to get with the supervisor. We will see if they will reimburse me for time lost at work. HAH
