Adaptive Marketing inc Unauthorized Billings

I have received several unauthorized credit card billings in the amount of $24.95 from a company under the name SAVEACE. I did not initially catch this, but when I noticed it on my bill I contacted the credit card issuer to have the payment declined. The credit card company discovered several previous billings. Once they get your card number they are posted on a monthly basis. They provide a phone number with the billing. When the number is called an automated answering system attempts to elicit personal information ( card number, home phone number). There must be a common denominator among all of the victims, perhaps a service or business where we have legitimately used a credit card and then the number was given or sold by someone connected to the transaction.

Adaptive Marketing inc Unauthorized charges

I too have unauthorized charges on my credit card. Called MVQ*Saveace, the number that is on your credit card bill [protected]) and you have to enter your card number to get your account number. this account number is also on your bill. Select to cancel and speech to someone. I was told that when I used Intelis that I excepted an offer for 10.00 back from Saveace. I ask if I ever received the 10.00 and she said no it was never issued. She ask me what I wanted her to do and I said refund my money. She said I would receive an email confimation in two days for the refund and get my money back in 3-5 days and gave me a confirmation # for the refund. I received the cancellation email that day. It states that I will receive a refund/credit confirmation email within 2 business days. Lets see if I get my money back in 5 business days. I also canceled that credit card number and called the bank. They said if I don't get my refund to call the fuad department. Hope this helpes someone else who has been taken advanage of.

Sirs,

Rarly do I check my credit card statements, however, on this occasion I was surprised to find that you have been charging me $19.95 a month for the past five months. I have not authorized this charge and request a refund of these charges and cease charging me from this writing. As a matter of fact I have not purchased any thing from your company. I request an answer within the next three days or I shall notify the credit card company and the proper law inforcement agencies.

Thank you,

If your wondering about how MVQ SAVEACE bills recurring charges to you bank or credit card then I'll explain. First, you or someone else went on a search such as ( INTELLUS) a people finder, the credit card information used on your form for INTELLUS was then given to MVQ Saveace without permission and the $24.95 recurring charges began. I contacted the company and asked what service they were providing me, I explained they were billing me illegally for something I had not ordered and the response was that I had clicked on a banner in the the web site, (not true).Ryan was the name provided by the company and this guy said what are you looking for, I sad a credit of $125 all the charges you have billed me, he agreed and I was given a REF # This morning I received an Email telling me that that the charge was stopped confirming it along with another REF#However it does not stop there, I have a Bank of America credit card, dealing with them was more painful than the cure.I started calling over a week ago complaining that MVQ SAVEACE was billing my account illegally, I was shuffled around to various departments winding up with the FRAUD DEPT who shut down my card and said a new one was coming by Friday. The card arrived as promised and I activated it, when I went online to look at my statement there was MVQ SAVEACE again on the new card. After talking again with customer service these geniuses started suggesting I fill out a dispute complaint form and mail it in.My response was total unbelief here I was trying to point out fraud and they wanted me to print mail and wait for a response, I would have incurred 3 more months of billing.I lost one week and 7 hours on hold with no resolution for my problem. Because Bank of America made this problem extremly difficult to resolve my only couse of action was to payoff my credit card and cancell it. I will remove my money from the local bank today. My little money, wont matter to them but I will get rid of these ###s, they have lost the personal touch to the small guy. I hope this information was helpful

I received just this morning another shipment of pills from this company after telling them to stop and also telling them the pills made me violently sick! The first shipment came after ordering a sample from them, then having my bank account number, they were able to withdraw 149.95 from it! What's in the pills anyway? What's with this company that they can't be closed down? I have filed a complaint with my local BBB and also with the one in Oklahoma. Somebody do something!

this appears on my bank statement and i wish it stop, my bank seem not help in anyway, always state..."contact them", this is truly a bother and we suppose to be protected by FRAUD LAWS, but things always continue to happen to hard working people and the system does not lift a finger.

I just checked my checking account online. I see a charge for $24.95 on my debit card that I did not authorize. The transaction is showing to have occurred this morning. I do not know where this charge is from. I do not know who the company is. But, on Monday, I will contact my bank to inform them of this transaction.

Adaptive Marketing inc unknown charges

We began recieving 24.95 charges two months ago. I checked my checking account statement and called the number beside their name. After only a few seconds of yelling they immediately said the account would be cancelled and our last payment refunded within two days. I know we should have pushed for the other two months, but my husband and I are happy to just get one month back and the account cancelled. They also told us that we had been automatically signed up for the account when my husband signed up for peoplefinder.com. They know what they are doing is wrong and I'm sure that is why they immediately cancelled us and refunded our money without any trouble. Anyone that has these charges needs to call them at [protected], give them your phone number and then start yelling at the first person that comes on the line.

Adaptive Marketing inc Recurring charges

Last month (September) I called and asked account to be closed. I have know idea who this company is, nor have I authorized them to bill me $19.95 per month. I thought that I wouldn't see the charges on my this month's cc statement. What was I thinking!?! I looked at my statement and sure enough, there it is...another charge for $19.95. After some research I found a website where you can cancel your membership. Saveace is actually through Adaptive Marketing, LLC. Their corporate address and telephone number are:

Adaptive Marketing/Saveace
750 Washington Boulevard
Stamford, CT 06901
[protected]

The website is:
http://membershipcenter.com/index.aspx
I called that number (better results, than the website) and was told that I would be reimbersed ($19.95) next cc statement. We'll see... Hopefully this information will be of help and if not, at least we have their corporate address and telephone number.

This company has been charging my account 23.95 twice a month since I called them to cancel their service which I never signed up for. I called them to cancel and they said they would and they didnt but responded by adding another 23.95 charge under the name MVQ Homesavingsmall. I contacted BANK OF AMERICA AND THEY ARE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MVQ. TO WHICH THEY RESPONDED THEY ARE NOT A FRAUDULANT COMPANY. Do not bank with Bank of america.

While looking over my checking account, via internet, I happened to notice a deduction of $19.95 for MVQ SAVEACE. I have no clue who this company is or what they sell. I certainly did not authorize them to withdraw money from my checking account. This is the second time within days that I have been billed for something that I did not authorize. The first time was by a company named Complete Savings. Again I have no idea who they are or what they sale. I am sole source of income is a SSDI check once a month. As you might know this is difficult to manage with the economy the way it is. I don't know how these companies manage to get away with this but something should be done to stop this type of action. Being that today is a holiday and most businesses are closed I will have to wait till tomorrow to contact them for my refund. Meanwhile I wish to make this my formal complaint for future reference.

This company appears to be well known for unapproved charges. I thought it was related to a memebership I signed up for through MyLife.com. MyLife immediately directed me to the Saving Ace number.

I have a credit card set up on autopay and I don't use it often or receive paper statements so I was surprised to find that for the last 4 months they had been charging me $19.95 per month for a membership I never signed up for.

I called and was surprised at how easy it was to get them to refund the full amount - they know they don't have a leg to stand on and they are depending on others like me that don't see their statements every month.

On my initial call she jumped right to cancelling my membership and tried to rush me off the phone. I asked who I needed to talk to about a refund and she instantly ordered the refund for the previous month. I told her I wanted a refund for every month and she set it up right away going back four months.

After getting off the phone, I found that there were two more months in which they had charged me.

I called back and got another supervisor who said she could refund all but the first month b/c that was initiation.

I said "You do realize I didn't sign up for this service correct?". she said hold one minute let me see what I can do, and within a matter of seconds told me she was able to override the initiation fee.

This is a game to see how little they can give you back if you don't push for more. It's ludicrous these people are getting rich off of scamming.

Adaptive Marketing inc Charged my Credit card

Downloaded my credit card transactions to Quicken, and see a charge of 19.95 to MVQ*SAVEACE on my Chase Visa. I immediately called Chase to ask for details, and all they had was a phone number [protected], so I call the number and I say I have an unrecognized charge from your company, and barely before the words are out of my mouth, she thanks me for trying saveace and says a credit will be issued with 2 days. Didn't even give her any information, as she knew my name and number from her caller ID, even sent me an email confirmation of cancelation within seconds of hanging up, again without me providing any information.
Looks like a high tech scam. I cancelled the credit card to be safe.

Adaptive Marketing inc Where are these charges coming from?

I have had charges of the amount of $19.95 coming through my account (bank), and I have no idea where anyone got my information from, and this started happening out of the blue since May. I have not signed up for anything, and apparently there is a scam going on from the Complaints Board.

This has racked up charges in the amount of $79.80. I want to know how to get my money back, and I will be addressing this with my bank. I would like some help here.

Adaptive Marketing inc Billed unusual

I was a month by month member of Balley's Fitness Center for about 3 months. I cancelled the membership in May as I moved back to New Mexico. I have now been billed $19.95 in June and July and the only way I knew why was to go on the internet to find out who MVQ Saveace was. To discover that it came from Balley's Fitness Center was very disturbing. I have not requested any other services from Balley's even though they keep sending me things.

I discovered a charge to my debit card that I didn't recognize from savingace. I called the phone # related to the charge, and it had something to do with an order that I placed for supplements from Vitacost. They said I had signed up for a membership for member benefits with savingace. Who the hell is savingace? I never signed up for a membership, and have no idea what their benefits are! They assured me that a credit would be issued to my account within 3-5 business days. I will be scrutinizing my account to make sure that it is credited and there are no more charges posted to my account from savingace. I will no longer order supplements from Vitacost!

While checking our account online two days ago, I found in my checking account I was billed 24.95 to this MVQ, and had NO idea what the heck this was. and went down to my bank and had them call. Found out it was this MVQ place, also the other name given was APSavingAce, and my husband and I STILL didn't know what this was about, so we cancelled our debt card right then and there, and put a stop on ouraccount with that number and also called the claims dept for our bank also today and had it stopped... will report this to the Better Business Bureau on Monday and see what happens in the mean time, since the lady in the claims dept of our bank told us this is a charge that will come out EVERY Month until we get it stopped.. be warned... this is a scam...watch your accounts VERY closely... I almost missed this one...

I also found 4 billings from MVQ or AP SavingAce for a membership of $19.95. (I overlooked it thinking it was a subscription account I have.) When I called, MVQ they told me it had been started when I ordered $10 worth of vitamins from VitaCost. The site did offer a free shipping rebate but after reading it I knew it wasn't something I wanted. But I got charged anyway to the card I used to make my purchase. When I called MVQ SavingAce they said they would reimburse all 4 months & I got an email conf. right away. When I called VitaCost they were polite but said you told us you wanted it and you gave us permission to send the info to MVQ SavingAce. So much for that.

My Bank of America card was charged $19.95 from mvq saveace. Never authorized anything with this company. Spoke to Maxine Cinningham with fraud dept. of B of A and was told my account would have to be closed and a new one opened. I cancelled my account with this mvq co. thru the automated phone instructions but, intend to get conf.# from a rep, I will hold as long as it takes and then send emails to this co. demanding them to never charge me for this B/S again! Keep a close eye on any activity from this co. Look up there website and check other names they use. Don't let them get away with fraud!

Two months in a row I have received a charge from this unknown company of $19.95 that I did not authorize. How do I get them to stop charging me?

I have now been billed $14.95, total of $74.75 for MVQ*SAVEACE. I have never been a member so I don't understand where they got my info to bill me. I want my money credited back to my credit card. I am notifying my credit card company to file a complaint.

Hi All,

I noticed the same thing on my bank statement. $19.95 deducted for three consecutive months each month. I just called up my bank and they connected me to the claims deptt.

Claims deptt. connected me to the merchant who promised to cancel membership and refund the charges.
I am looking forward to the refund in next 4-5 days.

Any of you who suffered the same thing, please call up your bank immediately.

Cheers !

Paix

Just had the same problem showing on this months bill of our AMX card. Ya know, there is a lot to be said for paying a little more for an American Express credit card. When we called them about this MQVsaveace charge the gentleman was very aware of what it was all about. Seems as though if you purchase anything through places like TRAVELOCITY, you automatically get hooked up with these pirates who charge you a MONTHLY "membership fee". AMX rep assured us they would accept no further charges on our credit card and they dismissed the current charges from them.
THANK YOU AMERICAN EXPRESS FOR NO HASSLE PROTECTION!

I just posted a complaint about unauthorized charges to my Visa . I just called the company and they said I joined by visiting a web site...they are cancelling the "membership" and refunding to my account the money.
