Munisha is reported for lying to the BBC by claiming that Dennis Lingwood (Sangharak[censored]a) was blind. This is because the BBC East Inside Out team wanted to interview him about allegations of abuse.

To quote another blogger:-

"This deliberate, seemingly innocuous lie was seen by some within Triratna as an indication of a continuing tendency within the group’s leadership to deceive the public and younger community members about the past and led to a good deal of discussion and even dissent within the Order, not simply because of the new revelations of abuse but more so, the continued, disingenuous and self serving nature of the response."

In other developments, Sangharak[censored]a has formally apologized for abuse but has stopped short at apologizing to specific people for specific events, presumably to avoid liability and to protect the interests of the movement.

To quote another:-

The Triratna leadership has played a critical role in justifying a culture that enables systematic power and sexual abuse; many critics of the movement or victims of this abuse have been disparaged in public or in internal communications, deliberately undermining their credibility in order to preserve the reputation and financial status of the TBO and Sangharak[censored]a (Dennis Lingwood). Up until now, the TBO leadership has neither acknowledged nor excused itself for having perpetrated these abuses.

Munisha also totally ignored an abuse complaint in 2015, even when it was shown that a member of her Order had clearly bad-mouthed someone in bad faith because he complained.

In 2015, 2016 and 2017, she was given an opportunity to comment on, and apologize for, abuse at the Ipswich Buddhist Centre which also involved two long standing preceptors (Saddharaja and Amoghavajra).

She had nothing to say and her movement still discredits those who speak up, and remains in denial. Her so called 'safeguarding procedure' is a shim-sham and the truth is that complaints are not addressed, even serious ones.
