I have been so frustrated with the customer service at Multichoice, that I know revert to writing this down, as I cannot explain this issue one more time to someone who works shifts and finds it impossible to keep their word, and get back to me as they ALL promise.

In March 2006, I disconnected my service with MultiChoice, as I moved to Mozambique for an unknown period. On 27 Fear I asked a friend, to phone Multichoice on my behalf, using my DSTV number, to inquire re the reconnection fees,(monthly and yearly) She did this, and concluded this conversation in saying that we will come back to confirm if we wanted to pay for this on monthly or a yearly basis. Thus not confirming it during the call.

On 27 March, to my shock and surprise I saw that the amount of R 858.93 was deducted by Multichoice. I was horrified. And then the terrible journey began to try and sort this out with your call centre. I phoned on 2/4/2007, spoke to Henri, see above ref number. All he did was to say the call will be retreated and he will get back to me before the end of the week, On Thursday I called just to find that nothing was done.

On Tuesday 10/4/2007 I called again (even though Multichoice said they would call me back. ) I spoke to Nicky, she escalated the problem to the complains manager. Later in the week I called again, and spoke to Marilynn Collins, to whom I had to again explain the full problem. She said that someone listened to the call, and that they said my friend requested reconnection. ON the same day Henri called to say that he did not listen to the call, someone else did.

I now requested to listen to the tape myself, and asked Marilynn to arrange for this for Sat 21/4/2007 at 09h00. On Monday 16/4/2007 I got a message from her to say that they had the tape at the front desk on 14/4/2007 --- I was amazed.

On 17/4 I called and asked to speak to Shawane, he actually listened to me, and even indicated that he can understand why someone might have misunderstood this request as a request for reconnection. I FELT HOPEFUL. He promised to make an appointment for me for 21/4/2007 at 10h00 and would get back to me

I WAITED

19/4/2007 I called again, asked to but put through to a complaints manager, as Shawane was not on duty, who would call me back within the hour, as the problem has been escalated (I now think this just means, the complaint has been filed in the dustbin)

When at 16h00 I still have not been contacted by Multichoice (within the hour she said) I called again, and asked the call centre person who answered Peter, to just put me through to a complaints manager, I got connected to Johannes Nkabinde, who said someone apparently did try and get hold of me. I however had no missed calls from anyone, and received no messages on my answering service.

He promised to again forward an email to Marilynn and Shawane and Nicky to get back to me to confirm the appointment for Saturday 21/4/2007.

I feel as a customer, that I have no value to you, that when a problem arise, you seem to think that it is my problem, and my perception is that I as a customer has no value to you. This saddens me and at the same time makes me really really angry. You have a customer complains department, yet I as a customer feels that you really do not care enough to help me. The experience I had with you really just makes me wonder if I want to be your customer. Should I not spend my money elsewhere.

I am in anticipation to hear the outcome of this issue, I would be most amazed if someone calls me back tomorrow.

Good evening,

I would like to ask why you advertise that one would never miss a show on DSTV, i wanted to start watching Alles Malan on kyknet and the 1st episode is not even on catch-up.
Please can anyone assist.

I see so many complaints about the same thing in here debit order goes the 25th my service was switched off 26th July 2019 27 July and now again 08/08/2019 yooo it's so pathetic as I dnt pay cash but debit order for years and they ask why people go to Netflix and Showmax

Is it normal for the panelist decoders to freeze. I have noticed this especially on National Geographic and not so oten on other channels ?. The otther query I have is that when we go onto the news and weather it takes some time before downloading is completed.

My husband applied for dstv price lock and we've been trying for days to get the necessary documents emailed through. I've called the dstv price number literally 15 times and no answer. Which is rather pathetic. Please can someone contact me on [protected].. not impressed at all!

I have been phoning the Cape Town Branch for more than 2 months to complain about my decoders not connecting with each other.

Yesterday the supervisor PROMISED me that he will resolve the problem and call me back which of he DID NOT do.

I have been paying a lot of money but can't watch TV.

It's 4days now and my catchuo option is giving me a massage that it's. It availbale in the country. Called one of the consultants they said they don't know what that is. This is not on, why pay for services that's not even working. Please fix this.

My services has been blocked since December...and not even one agent has been able to help me... instead I'm being given the runaround...and i have been making payments...the agents themselves don't know how the price lock payment plan works... I'm so not happy with the treatment I'm getting and the airtime I'm wasting on these calls

I am sick and tired, every time when I have a problem I have to call in multiple times inorder for a problem to be sorted out. DStv consultants are very incompetent.

I paid my dstv account on 28th June up until now 1 July 2019 it still not switched on when i call they call centre they say technical issues.They service is so poor

My mom is 70 years old. Her existing smart card is faulty. I have been waiting 2 weeks for Multichoice in Port Elizabeth to receive stock of the smart cards. In the meantime, my mom has not been able to connect to DSTV. I don't know how long the situation is going to carry on. Very bad planning, I would say.

They don't ever answer their phone... the voice message says "ring back later"... what kind of service is this? non existent I suggest.

Surely it is in your interest to get yourselves a decent and proper service provider?

They are charging me R834.29 instead of R649 and their are refusing to reverse it. I spoke two consultants who promised to come back to me, I'm still waiting. And when you call them you wait for too long, so now the cost of my telephone bills are exceeding the charged amount.

Hi my placing a complaint about movies in catch up most of them are old like there are no new movies or updates of new movies.I really like movies but I can't watch anymore because of these old updates of movies besides it's festive season so we are paying the rent every month and please fulfill our satisfaction.

I have been disconnected numerous times due to the POOR accounts system and lack of.knowledge pertaining to actually posting payment. So glad Netflix arrived, high time that dstv get proper competition! They make me sick!

We are seeing continuous duplication of programmes on all channels. There seems to be nothing new showing. However, we are paying a lot of money to see things over and over again. This cannot be fair to the subscribers!

My explora was installed on 28 now suddenly get billed for full month. I refuse to pay as I was told I will be billed pro rata.

Call centre too pathetic to assist. If thats the case Multichoice must collect their explora

I understand that a repeat is necessary to accommodate all, but repeating continuously is absurd and not fair.

Please supply other reasons for repeats or subscription will be cancelled

I have R 99 0, , m package and took debt four month ago because of had two movie channels. Now you Reno one without replacing it. Furthermore different software's on your website shows different channels for this bouquet. E.g I was promised two cartoon channels and only have one. Where can I get correct information please.Tegarfs

8/10 times when i put something to record, it doesn't record the full show. It is annoying that is misses the beginning or cuts off the end of a series or movie. Frustrating cos its not even on catchup even though you MUST only use explorer now. Annoying to miss out on whats happening or happened.

Dstv has been giving we 'Premiums' the colloquial 'finger' for quite a while now in their slicing & dicing arrangements. BUT dare I say & am I alone - it would appear to be a whole hand with their present offerings on BBC First ITV etc? I am convinced they are buying these DVD's from LOOT online specials ?! Comments welcome !

OMG! It's the weekend and as usual there is zero to watch on DSTV. I'm extremely annoyed especially cause I'm on the Family Bouquet. You'd expect movies packed but I couldn't be more bored.

I send thru change of ownership on the 7 feb 2017 till today they havent done it and every time i query they cut me off then i have to phone and spend 30 min the phone at my cost but nothing is happing how hard can it be to transfer it from one account to another

We feel like we're not getting the service that we pay for, we are always watching the same movies over and over again but the prices are going up. And most of the time the screen blinks. Therefore you must do something about it

Why would you ever think that Mr Bean live is a good children show? Please remove it from Boomerang channel or any other one for that matter. The animated version are also on all the time. Please show more variety. If this is not the place to file a complaint please refer me to the correct place. Thanks
