MultiChoice Africa / DSTV service

I have been complaining about my subscription for a year know an every month I still have to complain for the same problem and for some reason I m not been helped. My account is a pain, does DSTV actually take the complaints seriously, or you just don't care. For some reason my account has two accounts in one umbrella every time I pay my monthly subscription I still have to call to tell them to shift my payments which is costing me airtime everytime. Why must I always have to call DSTV to fix there problem at my own expense. This is really frustrating. Please may please take my complain forward and resolve this. My DSTV account is [protected]

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV quotation from dstv to fix box office

Good day

please advise on the amount charged to fix our box office and DSTV Catch up.

We called the company "DSTV siganl master" to come and have a look at our DSTV box office not working.

They cahrged us a total of R2050.00 for a new 25 mtrs cable and a Dual LNB cable. I called in DSTV asking for prices on those two devices and the prices was exacly the half from retail value to us.

We are not happy with the amount being charged as we feel if this was the problem we could have installed a brand new dstv decoder and a full installation for R999.00 as advertised.

our dstv member card number as follow [protected] as Stephan Elardus Erasmus.

we did call in to DSTV on Wednesday last week and still awaits a case number.

please advise weather this is normal rates being charged. No payment have been made to the company untill I have a second opinion on the charges charged to us.

Kind regards

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV bbc channel

I live in Zimbabwe, we pay our Dstv account every month. My complaint is I'm a dedicated East Enders fan. But ever since DSTV changed channels I have only one chance of watching my episode. I used to have the opportunity of watching a repeat if I missed my episode and now it's gone. I have no way of ever watching a missed episode. Please help sort this problem out ASAP.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV dstv disconnected

At the beginning of this year I attempted to downgrade my package on their useless website and have only had problems since then. This month they billed me over R1100 althoug I only have a family package of R235. I paid R235 on the Nedbank online banking site and sent a query to their help desk. A rep replied that the billing was incorrect and that I only had to pay R 235 for March which I already paid on 27 Feb. But 2 days later my service was disconnected by them. I called their helpline again and the lady who assisted said that she could see my eft payment and reconnected me. But today my service was disconnectexd again for a 2nd time this month although I already paid in advance on 27 Feb. I sent a message ti their help line again who replied that they have not received my payment. I sent the proof of payment from Nedbank but they replied that their billing dept must now first find the lost payment. In the mean time my service remains disconnected. Is this not utterly ridiculous and arrogance by the most useless company in SA who only survives due to the monopoly that they maibtain in that market. Why does govt not act to protect their citizens against this monopolistic and arrogant behaviour of multichoice? Disconnected service although payment was made well in advance and proof of payment was provided. This situation cannot be tolerated any longer in a democratic society.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV fraud and poor service

I called in about 2 months ago to activate my newly purchased decoder, to my surprise they told me that my acc is owing. This shocked me because I've never had an acc with multichoice before. It was my very first time. I then physically went to multichoice the following day and it happened to be a case of fraud whereby someone opened an account using my details. I was told to provide a copy of my ID and an affidavit. They said they would send the matter to risk and fraud. I haven't beem called to get an update of what's happening. Im the one that has to keep calling to find out if there is any progress of which is a waste of time cos the agents fail to help me and keep saying i must b patient. It's been 2 months without access to DSTV... they simply dont care. This is the worst service i have experienced.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV propaganda

I am looking at this video on trace channel 325. On sunday 4th march at 15h20. A Song by kwesta, wale callef spirit, with a old south african flag draped around a african male. With a tyre around the neck and a burnt down shack. Inappropiate i would say. If a white person just shows a old flag it is blown up and it will make frontline news. How do you allow this on national tv. No wonder our country cannot heal. Because of this kind of propaganda...

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV dstv premium/showmax

Dear Madam/Sir,

Your service is giving me a lot of worries. You don't do what you are telling me you will do and that is destroying trust, while my trust in DSTV is already very low, due to experiences in several African countries.

My smart card number is: [protected] (Nigeria)

A.
You offered me three months Premium and paying only for one month. I paid 28/2/2018 an amount of 14.700 Naira for March, April and May 2018.

When I go to my account it shows clearly that my due date is 27/03/2018. I have to pay by that date 29.400 Naira.

Is this your offer? I have proof by SMS that you gave me this offer. I request you to solve this problem immediately and to inform me what I can expect from DSTV.

B.
Another problem is that your agents in Osogbo and Ilesha can't do a professional job. They use nails to mount my dish to the wall. They should use a drill, plugs and proper screws to connect the dish firmly. The dish is not secured and the wind can be strong here. There was no signal because of bad performance of your 'professional' agents. I had to request an agent to come back again and fix the problem. That is what he tried to do yesterday. The signal is now:

Signal strength: 63%
Signal quality: 81%

At the moment I can't receive many channels, like also the sport channels 200 and up. I have to pay extra money to the agent to fix the dish, but the Premium package is not working here in Ilesha.

C.
Your Nigerian DSTV website is telling me that I can use Showmax. So I registered... now it does not work on the tv and they are telling me it is only working in South Africa. Why to have this Showmax commercial on your Nigerian website, while you can't broadcast it via DSTV Nigeria. Kindly explain me how it works and how I can perhaps use it in another way.

D.
To connect to DSTV by phone is almost impossible. The reception is bad, there is a lot of blah blah information by computer voices. Kindly allow customers to speak immediately with a customer service representative. We don't have time for blah blah and confusing commercials by phone. Also the volume is loud and soft from several types of computers talking to us on the phone. My ears are suffering from the sudden loud volume that is coming up. It makes customers aggressive when this happens to them and it will not be nice for your own employees to deal with aggressive customers. It is so extremely silly to treat your customers like you do over the phone. Please try to replace yourself in the position of the customers and the age of the customer.

It is now 10 am and I started to connect myself to you from 8:10 am... and still the problems are not solved. Kindly solve my problems, better don't call me as the line will not be professional. Also the free toll numbers are not at all working. I lost 3000 Naira and a lot of time trying to connect to DSTV, but no results. Kindly support me and do what a professional organization should do.

I will send this e-mail also to your Headquarter office in South Africa, I really hope something can be done. Thank you!

Regards and best wishes,

Edwin Robert

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV subscription disconnection

Hi Please see below call references for the same issue since 06/02/18
[protected]- I42(06/02/18)
[protected]-I49(11/02/18)
[protected]-I63(21/02/18)
7923706-I70(26/02/18)
[protected]-I80(03/03/18)

My subscription is paid via debit order, When I call the customer service on all times i was told this is the first time they are dealing with this query, why is a reference being given if the call is not being resolved? I have asked for this call to be escalated on all occasions and still no joy, my subscription was cut of totally today by Joan Mothibi(Supervisor) for no reasonable explanation.

I have to call wasting even more time and money by being given poor explanations and excuses as to why i am being disconnected all the time.

The service level of MultiChoice DSTV Africa is appalling and has really left me as a customer extremely frustrated.

Please can this matter be dealt with urgently.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV service providers

I had my decoder exchanged via insurance with a free installation and change to smart LNB. The agent informed me that an I stalker will call me and being a Sunday I waited till Monday. No one called. I called your contact centre and was given two numbers...Reliance TV and some cable company. All this while the allocated installer had still not called. The reason I expected the call as I was given the numbers with the proviso that the allocated one will still call.
I booked an appointment tent with Reliance TV. They did not pitch.

Is your company really serious with these I stallers you appointment?
It's now getting closer to 72 hours and dololo

You guys don't appreciate customers if there was an alternate supplier of digital TV. ..we would have been gone. We don't keep our subscriptions for your programs but rather there sports. Programs we can subscribe to apple...Google or netflix..
My proposal is jack up the design of your call centre and it's capability of a one stop call and rethink your service providers

They are very poor in that payment department. I call them every second day as they keep on disconnecting the service despite my many proof of payments I send to them. It is like every adviser must capture your payment then the next one will disconnect you .

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV overcharged

I subscribed to the price lock service and explora decoder. 1st payment in December went off with no problems, January payment went off and they overcharge me by R700... I have tried contacting before, even sent a mail... No response, had a previous problem with Dstv when they overcharged me and waited almost 4 months for them to pay me back, is this going to be another of those cases?
