MultiChoice Africa / DSTV payment arrangements

I called DSTV on the 26th July 2018 to advise that there was confusion at the bank with regards to reversals and requested that they double debit on the 27th July 2018. the consultant agreed.

On the 08th August I am told that I am still outstanding with 1 months payment.

I called and literally begged to please keep the service active and double debit me at the end of the month.

They blatantly and proudly advisesd that they could not assist.
I have been a member with them for OVER 10 YEARS and they could not assist me.

They could not make a simple concession for a LOYAL CLIENT!.
THEY TRUELY DONT CARE FROM A CLIENT PERSPECTIVE. ITS ALL ABOUT THE PAYMENT.

DSTV REALLY SUCKS AS A SUPPLIER AND HAS NO CONNECTION TO ITS CLIENTS. I GUESS IT IS BETTER TO MOVE TO STREAMING...

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV Explora/Installation

I bought an Explora plus installation for extra view at SatVision in Festival Mall on the 26th of July cash for R2050 to be installed on the 30th same month. When the guys came to install they couldn't and said that they need 2 wires to run to the main network station to my complex. I arranged with my caretaker and he showed me more than 3 apartments with Explora and they all had one cable running to the network station. The very next day I went back to shop to return everything that I bouhgt from Satvission DSTV. Simon convinced me to take back the stuff and that he will send a different installer, whom came but also failed. A third installer came and also failed but ran the wires to the main bedroom and left. On the 6th of August I called the shop and asked Simon to prepare the refund and that I will be returning the decorder the next day. Indeed today I rerurned the decorder back to the shop for the second time around. When Simon called his manager Phineas for refund approval, he blatently refused. His reasoning was that I must pay for the extra view and the call out fee which happens to be half of the amount I paid R1000. Now, I asked to speak to this manager but he refused and said that he cant speak on the phone he is driving. Its amazing how he managed to speak to Simon while driving yet he couldn't speak to me. I called him then from my phone and guess what, he was home relaxed and in the background were kids crying and people talking. I asked him to justify the payment for service I never received, he couldn't and said that he had guys come to install cables for extraview. Yes, the same extra view that is out of service I am supposedly paying for. Is the explora installed, a very BIG NO! So in essence, what services am paying for? That I was sent 3 different incompetent installers and they left an unfinished job that I should pay for their pathethic service. REALLY, multichoice this is apaulling. With Netflix I don't have to go though all of this frustration. All I want is my money before this is blown out of propotion.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV dstv decoder

Hi I've purchased I decoder and Samsung TV last year. this came with a free Decoder and one free installation point. The installer came out to install the Dish and Decoder.
He completed that ...He started calling me to ask to activate the Decoder which I didn't do at the time because the kids were still at school. This year I purchased a Explorer Decoder and also wanted to activate the HD Decoder for the second view.
When I called in with the Decoder details the call centre agent advised me that the decoder is in someone else name. They dont want to change the decoder to my name and the decoder is with me. Im the rightful owner. I asked the agents to cancel my account because they cant assist me. My visits must watch DSTV in my bedroom because Managers dont call back AS PER AGENTS. and the worst of all the end of the month I must pay for bad service

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV kevin solutions (refusing to do a job that we paid for)

I got Kevin to give me a quote to install dstv decoders into my guesthouses rooms. He came and then send me a quote afterwards. He is registered to install dstv so I made a 70% deposit as he said as soon as he sees the payment he will come the next day. I waited over a week and now he is refusing to do the work for me as he claims he did not know it was that much work. He was the one who made the quote! My clients are not happy and I do not know what to do?

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV no showing the charity shield and not informing the viewer

Good day
we pay a lot of money for the premium package to watch the sport that dstv advertise and the nerve not to inform the viewer, its not like it was a technical problem and that they knew about this along time, that they were not going to show the game. We deserve to be informed as we are paying for the services, its not for free. I never jumped on board when they were boycotting you guys as my view that i get the best sporting views. Now i am going to join and make sure that we get treated with the respect we deserve. on fb you guys give us a standard reply and ignore the rest of the question, like we dont matter, this is not acceptable behavior.
please can you have a look into this. false advertising and breach of contract.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV can not watch any channel due to error message and no assistance from dstv to resolve.

DSTV.
We have not been able to watch DSTV for days due to an error message.
We have been told by the call centre it is a problem on their side and there is nothing we can do about it. They claim they are trying to resolve the issue.
WHen I email I am not assisted other than to hear they are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
I can not get answers or assistance.
I would like tounderstand when this problem may be resolved, or what the problem is, or what is being done!
Also, why should I pay for a service I am not receiving - they must provide a discount for the time we are off-line.
The error message received is E48-32. There is no signal due to poor installation or bad weather. Neither is applicable.
I hope someone can assist.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV dstv explorer premium

I'm very disappointed with what a mission it is to get a new application!
I'm a few days away from maternity leave and wanted to get DSTV set up before I go off.
The first phone call was great, she did the entire application, told me I was approved, told me what documents she needed and said once I had sent off the documents, which I was told was just my I.D and proof of banking details (Please, do find the recording and listen to it), then I would get another call regarding installation details.
I even received an sms on the 23 July at 14:34 to say congratulations! my application was approved and I would be kept up to date via sms, anyways no more sms's were received, but I did receive an email saying that they now needed proof of income (payslips/bank statements) and proof of physical address.
So I sent them MY payslips, as the debit order will be on MY account and from MY salary and proof of residence. Now today I get another email saying that they need my boyfriend's proof of income to show household income, which is understandable, as I had stated the household income, but I had also stated that I WILL BE FULLY LIABLE FOR THE ACCOUNT AND NOT MY PARTNER. The reason for me saying this is because he works on a farm, in the middle of nowhere, where getting any form of admin done will take way over a month, and if he does receive a payslip every month, it is more than likely shoved into his overall pockets with greasy hands, put through the wash and completely forgotten about! And don't get me started on his lack of online banking skills.
And like I said, I only have a few days left.
Such a complicated way to go about the most simple of procedures!
No one can agree on what documents you need, no one can get everything done at the same time. Two people who suggested I get DSTV Explora said oh no don't worry! they didn't ask for any documents. Both paid off the decoders.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV payment arrange for price lock account

DS stupid TV failed to collect my subscription in July and therefore suspended my service. I call in to query a number of times and was advised that finance would contact me for a payment arrangement. Days later i call in to follow up as no contact was made. Yet again received bad service from consultants and managers who dont have a clue what the company processes are if any. My outstanding balance was elevated then eventually correct. I was promised a call from the finance department and yes, once again no call. I receive an sms today of an arrangement i never agreed to but the sms says you agreed to...
I call the call centre and was told that i have no say, arrangement is made on my behalf. I ask to be reconnected as they have done previously and i am told that re connection will not be possible without immediate payment. So much inconstancy and bad service i have received from DSTV, i regret the day i took out a binding contract. Im am definitely taking this further

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV poor service delivery

On the 2nd July 2018, I went to our local DSTV (Televideo, Ceres, Western Cape) installer with my decoder. My actual problem was with the signal. There was no signal, error message said check my LNB connection which I did. I therefore decided to go to the local DSTV office. They checked my decoder and confirmed that it was in working condition. They then suggested that the fault could be with the LNB on the dish. They could not attend to my problem during the week as one of their technicians was off sick. They then told me that they would assist me during the next week (week of the 9th). It has been 3 weeks to date and yet no one from the offices has telephoned me in order to query the issue.

This is very poor service on behalf of DSTV. I would just like to know what happens if I do not pay my subscription on time, then they disconnect you. It is unfair for me to pay for DSTV for 3 weeks whilst not receiving any signal from my dish.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV faulty decoder issued

On friday 20 July I took my dstv decoder to the Port Elizabeth branch after experiencing various problems including picture freezing. I left it with them for three hours to test.
When I returned I was given a (supposed) new decoder.

When I installed it there was no signal. As I have no experience of these this and was scared that I may do the wrong things, I got an approved installer who tested the decoder and could not get a signal. He then took our Explorer from the lounge and it worked perfectly. He suggested that I took it back. It was a Saturday afternoon so I have to wait till Monday. I have no TV for the weekend.

My complaint is that the decoder should have been tested in my presence and if it was a new it should have been packed not open. It cost me as pensioner R250 for the services of the installer. I am thus not happy at all.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV dstv package and incorrect information

hi, im very very angry regarding the service i got from dstv, so what happend was that my partner sifiso godfrey masango id [protected] joined the price lock plan so it happend he lost his job and i took over the payment of the dstv plan so i have been paying ever since the beginning of this year calling in making arrangements and paying what i could pay at the time however a month back i was told by an agent from the call center that the price lock plan has been completed with payments and that i needed now to make payments for R840.00 in order for the dish to be opened i explained that i dont have money at the moment to make that payment as i had already paid on the 20th July R500.00 and the lady explained to me that they will not open the dish up until i paid the R840.00 i asked to make arrangements and the request was declined and was told the R840.00 would be my last payment and i will get to go back to my original payment, the thing about this is that i even downgraded my plan to the R99.00 as i believed i didn't want to accumulate more arrears this morning i wake up i pay R950.00 thinking its the R840.00 i owed plus the R99.00 for the package i am on, i call the call center as my intention is for them to open the dish because its been off since the time they refused me to make arrangements till now when i call in im now told i owe R2000.00 because the package was cancelled and what was owed is now transferred to the dish what i dont understand is the last month when i called the lady told me the resident account was now owing R840.00 because all the money that was paid there was used to settle the price lock plan of which i dont understand how it works but that was what i was told this price lock is supposed to be for 24months and yet its been more than that since paying this account and im angry that im fed wrong information every time i call if i was allowed to make arrangements i wouldn't have to be in this predicament worse if the informations were alligned i wouldnt be fed wrong information every time right now im being scammed of money and worse i still dont watch the dstv at all so whats the use of having this if every time il be owing different amounts with no solution

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV payment

I had requested DSTV to load a debit order which was not correctly loaded to run the 20th, I called in on the 22nd to check what was the issue and I was advised that the debit order will then run o the 20th July with the prorate amount of R676 included. I asked the consultant if it will not be cut off on the 1st and she said NO. on the 2nd the connection was cut off I had to call in an explain my story then it was reconnected and that consultant told me it will be cutting off after few days but there is no need for payment since this was not my fault they will just reconnect the TV. when I called in again after another cut off then they I was told I need to pay the R676 I explained to the consultant what had happened she then called her manager to listen to my call records and they made me hold for a while till the call was cut off and they did not bother to call me back knowing very well that if I call back I will find someone different. I had to pay that money anyway but I am very unhappy with how things were done knowing that it is not my fault and I was inconvenienced with that payment that came out unplanned. Till this day no one has contacted me.

MultiChoice Africa / DSTV media

Good day,

Whilst a kids movie Anastasia was playing on channel 138 tonight an adult advert was played during the ad break showing men and women in bed on top of each other naked. I don't remember the name of the series it was advertising but this is completely unacceptable and outrageous given the sexual content my child was exposed to!

Awaiting your response!
