Mahanagar Telephone Nigam [MTNL] net connection compromised

I have a broad ban connection from your company and when ever I open the net it takes time to get connected to internet and after getting connected the connection is going on and off frequently.Enquired the complaint no's from telephone enquiry, the no's given were 2204070.The no. was on no reply status.It is humbly requested to look in to the matter and oblige.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam [MTNL] broadband is not working

i m dheeraj and my telephone no. is 011-[protected], consumer no. is [protected].

i m using mtnl broadband 599 plan with 256kbps speed. but my net is not working with committed speed and the link with modem is also disconnected several times.i m booking complaints against this problem several times but all in vain. Nobody will come on my home and see this problem/fault only a single time.

Most surprising is that fault booked on computer recorded or at 1504 is not attended for last 2-3 days or gets cancelled.

I don't now how to get something done.

i request to the concerned authorities to plz. look into this matter.

i m swati living in rani bagh and my telephone no. is 011-[protected], consumer no. is [protected].

i m using mtnl broadband 599 plan with 256kbps speed. but my net is not working with committed speed and the link with modem is also disconnected several times.i m booking complaints against this problem several times but all in vain. Nobody will come on my address and see this problem/fault only at a single time.

i had the same problem, then i damaged the modem internally so that no one may no, then i complaint about faulty modem, after that they changed my modem, with new modem new configuration that did solve my problem .
Be tricky when dealing with govt agencies like MTNL, they will neither listen will nor work until there is something solid to show them .

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam [MTNL] landline complet dead

my phone no [protected]. many time i give complain to mtnl complain no and complain website. my phone is complityly dead from previous 20 day. i am all ready paying his bill. but problem is this my father is seek from paralitice patantion and my mother is seeking from heart disser my mother all ready passby surgery of heart ( bypass suregery). so pleas give me favor plz do my work.

Iam Job Chacko, regestered a complaint number 958 dt 12-09-2009 for non functioning of my landline 011-[protected].Now already over 3 days.Nobody has attended for my complaint.
As a common man, what will i do ?Earlier(5-6 months back) I have disconnected my Broadband connection of MTNL.
Waiting for your fast action.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam [MTNL] Unreliable connection and Frequent Disconnects

Due to the non availability of proper and cost effective broadband connections in my suburb in Mumbai (Mulund), I eventually had to go with MTNL broadband connection. I was informed by many that MTNL is good but I am sorry to say that MTNL is not even satisfactory.

The main user of the connection is my dad and he won't easily understand the reliability of the connection. He would just try and refresh pages 3-4 times and then give up. I recently moved to my home and am using the same connection since last 10 days. I have configured the same connection on atleast 2 more devices other than my dad's laptop. These device include my personal desktop and my work laptop. I connect only using the LAN cables provided by MTNL and do not connect more than one device at a time. I am finding the connection to be very very unreliable. It disconnects so frequently that I surf less and press the refresh button more. This unreliability problem reached its tipping point when MTNL had changed the DNS servers from their side without informing customers. I tried to connect one whole day and I only got disappointed all the time. I called up the broadband customer care on 1504 and was informed about some new DNS servers. I entered the same and was still not able to get through the connection. I called 1504 again and asked for personal help. The engineer arrived my location 2 days after that and he entered a totally new set of DNS servers. The connection started working fine then.

The day after, I got connected but the connection was so unreliable. Due to this unreliable connection, I failed 6 credit card transactions in last 10 days. Out of these 2 transactions were double paid and now I have to call up my credit card company to help me out. Also, I lost cheaper air tickets and better seats in a theater as when I was trying to book the tickets online, the connection broke about 20-30 times ! This caused me to pay higher for my travel tickets and also compromise on seats even after paying the same amount !

This is just a summary of mishaps in last 10 days while I used MTNL broadband. I don't think that MTNL is even working towards this, because, my dad informed me that he also faced same issues since last 3 months ! I am really hurt and upset with what our government is providing us as service.

I am sorry to say, but MTNL sucks !

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam [MTNL] SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED

Subject: SIM CARD registration failed on Mobile No. [protected]

Sir/Madam,

I am a regular post-paid connection user of MTNL (DOLPHIN), DELHI since 3 to 4 years. My Mobile No. is [protected] in the name of Bishan Datt Vats, R/o 615, Village Mundka, Delhi – 110 041.

The SIM is showing “SIM Card registration failed” from 27/01/2009 and when I go to Janak Puri Sanchar Haat for the same problem, the officer said “The SIM card is corrupted” and advice to change the SIM card. Then I wrote a letter for replacing the SIM card and collect a new SIM vide SIM No. [protected] on 28/01/2009 and replied that the SIM will be activated within 24 hrs but this did not happen.

Then I complained to Dolphin Customer Care No. [protected] and the executive wrote my request vide complaint no. [protected] dt. 29/01/2009 and replied that the SIM is activated within 24 hrs but nothing happened.

After waiting of two days, again I complained to Dolphin Customer Care No. [protected] and the executive wrote my complaint vide complaint no. [protected] dt. 31/01/2009 and replied that the SIM is activated within 24 hrs but till now they are not giving any appropriate answer and again they are asking me to wait for next 2 hrs to get the SIM activated but the SIM card is not activated.

Please forward this email/letter to whosoever concerned on I have to receive a real responsible answer…

I am using mtnl dolphin jeevan-sathi govt. employee post paid plan for several years.My mobile no.is [protected] & [protected].I have complained for network problem numerous times in the last four-five (4-5) yrs on 1503 customer care no.but after 2-3 months of complain when I enquire about the same on customer care I get the reply that your complain has been resovled.Then they again put my complain & give me again a new complain no.This process is being repeated for the above said period but in real it remains unattended. My address is 12, old nurses hostel, Charak Palika Hospital Campus, Motibagh-1, New Delhi- 110021 Pl.help & reply.Thanks.

Since last 4 to 5 days network coverage of Dolphin Mobile is not accessible in Dombivli. A complaint was made to customer care and also on website of MTNL but neither the problem is solved nor any reply from MTNL.

One month has passed from the date of application for shift of telephone from one address to another in same City. Still no action from MTNL... No response at call centers.

I strongly agree with the issue faced by MTNL customers due to slow and lathergic services and attitude of MTNL system overall... I had also faced same problem while shifting my MTNL connection from old house to new and after several follow-ups my connection was given after approximate 4 months to me ...! PATHETIC services and just harrasement for cusmoters which can be conveniently given by MTNL...!

refer the work order number 905978 dated 17th April 2007 issued by MTNL Kandivali area shifting of my land line just a distance of 200 meters next building has not been done.

say now 2 years

sorry to say no accountability and even MTNL must pay the compensation for such type of harrasment.

Very poor service by MTNL in such a competetive era.
My phone was also shifted in 32 days. The height is that accounts department records the same date for shifting and connection activation as application date, no matter whether subscriber gets the service or not. No body is ready to listen. MTNL is still in old age.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam [MTNL] Problem with broadband and IPTV

I personally think that MTNL/IPTV service is a failure, being a consumer myself. In the last 5 months, there has been hardly a day when I did not face any problem. On lodging the complaint, IPTV people say everything is OK with IPTV its due to broadband problem and when MTNL is contacted they say everything is OK at their end its IPTV problem. I finally wrote to the head office but to no avail. My complaints have been closed without setting the problem right and I received a call from MTNL that your complaint has been closed as told by you, whereas I never said such a thing. Their representatives/babus have no ethics, no politeness, they talk as if they are providing these services for free. Their way of talking is very rude, they have no sense of responsibility and they are least concerned with consumer grievance, they are just concerned with closing the complaints received irrespective of whether they are actually addressed or not. I asked them to either address to my complaints or I do not want to continue with their services, so they disconnected my telephone, broadband and IPTV connections. You can now think what sort of service they are providing. This sort of attitude is not going to take MTNL/IPTV anywhere and they will lose their popularity, all their talks of quality and consumer complaint redressal are mere face wash and have no weight. It seems as if the MTNL babus independently decide to close the complaints, to save their jobs, without actually taking any action to address the complaints.

this is manoj kumar katahra...I took an iptv connection in the year 2007. It was satisfying before. But from the last 3 weeks the waiting signals are disturbing in every 10 minutes. please look into the problem as soon as possible.Its imprtnt...!

Sanjay Kumar jain if u had contacted Mr Jokhoo Ram then he must had solved ur problems. He must not had recieved ur call bcoz u would had made calls on holidays or after 6 PM.

my iptv does not work properly It was installed yesterday The Executive who installed IPTV did not give the user manual which was provided with thw set top box I rang him many times every time he said he is comming The name of the Executive is Gaurav Sharme mob. no.[protected]

Hi,

This is Sanjay Kumar Jain. This is regarding the MTNL broadband connection. This seems to be a very disgusting service provided by MTNL. I am facing lots of problem with this since I booked this. After various calls made to MTNL and the numbers installation took place on 1st of November (Saturday). And after installation also I am facing lots of problem regarding this. Nothing is running smoothly. Even I called up the customer care number (1504) no one is picking up the phone. Then after getting frustrated by this I called up 1500 there a mam took the call and when I said that I tried 1504 lots of time and no one is picking up the phone, she simply denied with the fact that this can not take place as if i m lying and the way she said this was also in a very rude tome. Is this the service provided by this department? What a 3rd class service or I should say worst then anything. These peoples even don’t know how to talk to their customer.

After, making various calls and various mails to this department i got nothing. Yeah, I have received a letter from the MTNL (G - Block Preet Vihar) on 09/01/2009. According to the letter, these peoples said that it has been confirmed from a lady on 3/1/2009 that the services which these peoples and their department is providing is up to the satisfactory level and we are satisfied.

That day my sister picked the phone and she said that “her brother is not at the place and please call back after 10 mins, and confirmed that the speed of the broadband is still in between 190 to 205). Is this satisfactory for these peoples.

What a Joke. I really think that these peoples out there are just coming to your office for time pass and for chatting. These peoples don’t know how to speak with the customer and this I can say with guarantee as I only received a call from their department and that person was using slang languages when I said that Airtel peoples are providing me better services.

Today, I have received the bill from the MTNL and that cost more then Rs 1000. I had to make various calls to Mr. D.P Singh ([protected]) and to various officers of the MTNL to solve this problem. And because of these calls I m receiving this amount of bill.

Further, I have told to call Mr. Jokhoo Ram (DDA Market, H PKT, Dilshad Garden, Delhi – 110 095) on [protected]. Whenever, I called him, he never picked the phone, as he don’t want to listen it only. Is this the service these peoples called a good and satisfactory service,

I also face the same problem as my friend Sunil, my telephone no is [protected] and I too have a Broadband connection and a IPTV connection.Both my connections are encountering problems for past one month.I have not seen the programmes on IPTV peacefully at a stretch.In between the connection goes off or shows waiting signal. Inspite of repeated complaints there is no positive response, even today my iptv is still not functioning, its going to be a week.

I have requested for an IPTV connection for almost a month back. I also have a broadband connection.

Even in today's environment of global competetiveness, MTNL seems sleeping for a simple connection and consumers have still to beg and follow up continuously.

Awaiting for a positive response atleast by next year !

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam [MTNL] Uneasy services and harassment!

Myself is living in Delhi. I want a landline connection from MTNL. For which i have applied many times sometimes on my mother's name, sometime on father's name, even on my name. They always have a something wrong in application forms or requirements i am having.e.g. they did not accept thumb sign of any person for giving a telephone connection, sometimes a photo, even when their gien form of connection did not specify for same.

As far as behavior of SANCHAR HAT official at brijpuri near Mayur Restaurent. It is very terrible, they do not know how to handle the customs and are really not so able to understand that PAN is issued by Government of India.

I think Government should privatize MTNL and give some quality life to its people.

MTNL joins as ninth member of rescue team to help world's LONE heavy spammer!

The lone heavy spammer, using email service in all countries, sent a billion emails every minute. Spam in our inboxes swelled up from 50 a day to 600 a day.
I began SPAM THE SPAMMER crusade on 04 March 2010. On 08 April 2010, I located this LONE heavy spammer using spry.com USA in bulk - the account was terminated on my complaint. On my first complaint, many accounts were terminated every hour. During recent days, he has been signing up debut accounts in new countries. Since 14 April SEVEN indian companies - RelianceTheCancer Sancharnet TataCom Railtel Airtel cert-in.org.in Vodafone - visibly came to rescue of dying world email spam. Today the master spammer - hard disk harvester roped in Novanet first and then MTNL to make rescue team total nine. From circumstances, master spammer appears to be kin of either a minister or TRAI/DOT Chief in India.
The emails received have links which do not produce any page/error page. While victim waits for something to happen, image of hard disk is transmitted to spammer. He may be targeting bank passwords and precious software.

I had Triband Internet connection with my own Datalink modem upto March 2009. MTNL people suggested to change to their modem (Sterlite provided in the first week of April 2009), but from that time I face Internet problem. Complain everyday in 1504, they give new complaint nos. and no one is attending the calls. Finally personally visited the Ladu Sarai Exchange (my no. [protected]) belongs and they felt to change the Telephone Line from the Post and done. Still the Internet problem is unsolved for more than TEN days. What is the MTNL Broadband service to the customers?

Are they attending to customers or not.If I speak to JE he guides to contact Exchange and in turn they say to contact Area Manager (The no. [protected]) never lifted by anyone.
Still I am facing the problem.My complaint nos. are erased in the PC automatically without rectifying the problem. Nos. [protected], , [protected].

Hope to see some one visit and rectify the problem SOON.

hi, my number is [protected]. this phone is dead from june 2008. i hav a braodband connection also, monthly rent 849. some of, not some but all uneducated and illetrate guys r working in MTNL. they dnt know the meaning of customer satisfaction. they are just making money every month free of cost. though nobody is ready to tell me how to disconnect the phone.

Hi, I am Pillai I have booked for an IPTV Connection and they have given me a registration number 6020002. I have been asked to contact in one MTNL Phone number that is [protected] & [protected]. I have become realy mad person to dial this number from the last couple of days and till now I have not been connected with this number. I have contacted the JTO over here in Mahipalpur and he as told me that all documentation etc. has been done and the job has been forwarded to further and he himself tried this number and since it was not possible, ask me to call AM and from their I have got 5 peoples number further. Finaly from a Top official I have received the number, you will suprised to hear that is again I was trying from the last 15 days.

This is what the service and what I have to do anybody can answer.
My landline number from which the connection is to be given is 011-[protected].

hi i have been forwarded my complent several time i dont know who is going to sort out finally nobody is willing to help anymore i m using broadband plan through mtnl connection and i m unable to open this site www.paypal.com evenhough i m giving right password and all details and second thing if i want to make any payment to any site through paypal then system get stuck no further process. i had this kindof problem in past too on that particular time its was communicated from your side that due to some technical constrant we usually block few sites but after that u open it from your end. pls do something regarding this.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam [MTNL] Broadband Speed

Since 1 Month i am using MTNL Broadband at home...i took a plan which is called TribUnlimited...with the download speed of 256 Kbps... i got the speed and worked fine for me but from last 6 days my download speed reduced to 30Kbps only...i made many complaint but they replied that this speed is ok in this plan...but in their website and adds you can see the minimum download speed is 256Kbps...my friend is using same connection with same plan his speed is coming 256Kbps download...but why they reduced my speed...still no action from MTNL yet...I am paying Rs. 1000 for the month & still not getting the speed...even their customer care guys dont have any resolution they just hang up the phone when i asked about my complaint and speed problem...from 1 month i was download on 256 Kbps and suddenly what happen...i want to complaint this to the higher ranked officer...coz MTNL guys dont know here how to maintain their systems.

My plan is power connect ..worth rs 280.with the speed of 192 kbps after 1 gb of usage... But from last 1 month its speed is b/w 20 kb - 25kbps

i am a customer of mtnl braodband plane plane firstly i have to say that nobody cannot be responding of my complaints against my internet downloading speed which is less than 23 kbps when the commitment from mtnl online help for the internet downloading speed was 256kbps now nobody can take any resposibility why my internet speed is lower nobody have a reason & compaining for that many of times
so please take some action for it & give me reply whatsoever
so i can take Decision for cut my mtnl connection as soon as posible

i was using mtnl from past 5 years but past December my net had stopped working i called them 10000 times and their nonsense instructions which never works, then after a month they thinked to come to home so they came, checked and got lost and never came and till now my net is not working, i paid Rs- 1349 1 month without using my internet.

What they mean by 256 Kbps in the unlimited plan, is actually 256 Kilo bits (not bytes!) per second. You will get 256/8 KBps (that is kilobytes - notice the small and capital B) = 32 KBps in ideal conditions. But due to bad lines (which is MTNLs fault), you only get 20-30 KBps :(

. I am having mtnl braodband service from 3 yr. my usually minimum speed of net was roundly 200 or 250 kbps, but from 1 month past its has come down to 20 to 25 kbps from which im surffing a lot. My friend is using the same connection as he getting 250kbps. As i want you to take immediate action as im taking heavy losses. My complaint number is 5810. I have complaint it many times pls dont force me to take a higher step.

We are using the MTNL services for telephone and internet. and is under unlimited plan, but we have been facing problems from the day of installation. Many Times internet is not working or the speed is not more than 2 or 3 kbps. We have made complaints so many times to area manager and other respective authorities & Written Complaints to Janak Puri Exchange but the case is still unresolved. People come, check and promise to rectify it by next day but no progress has been seen.

As I have Applied for IP Tv. The People came for Installation Due to internet not working or speed is not more than 2 or 3 KBPS. The IP Tv People Came 2 or 3 times But Due to Internet not working that time they Go Back.

As I have Made So many Complaints to Janak Puri SDO, Area Manager, Broadband Office But the case is still unresolved. The Matter is three month old & we are at the same Position & The Problem has not been rectify till date & all the complaints made by us is all in Vain. We Would Like to ask from the esteemed authority that by paying the full amount & Cleared all the bills still we are not enjoying the services.

As we are related to media business the usage of internet is a necessity In spite of giving the written application Dated: 11/9/2008 Nothing Has been Sorted Out Till Date

There is not any response about My Internet speed reduces yet...

I m absolutly agree with Samee Asghar,

First (Approx) 1 month i got download speed of 256 kbps and now i get only download speed 30 kbps,

but i have problem from last 25-30 days,

what will I do for this, from my side i complainted for internet speed many times but there is no result.

so plz my kindly request forward this complaint to high ranked officer, take some action and plz give me result or response.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam [MTNL] Transfer of landline phone MTNL problem

I have given a request for transfer of my landline number i.e.[protected] in the firm name "radhey shyam polymers", address: b-271, mongolpuri, industrial area, phase-1, delhi-110083... I have given transfer letter in mtnl company format on 26 august 2007, but after a long period today dated on 20 september 2007, ive received phone call from company stating that my phone is been cancelled, but when i questioned them they hanged up. Very poor service provided by MTNL!

Yes i do agree with the complain being such a big company... its conduct is not proper. They must atleast have a answer to the customers query n than they must be able to clear the problem only after that the customer is satisfied. I truly agree with the following complaint.
