Mr Hobbs / I am disgusted by the bad attitude and dishonestly and will never shop at Mr. Hobbs again

I went to Mr. Hobbs & bought a cut throat razor as a gift for a friend ([protected]) & paid for my purchase with my credit card & received a copy of the credit card slip. On [protected] I presented the gift to my friend only to be told that he had already had one and that it would be best to return the gift.

[protected] I went to the store & explained the situation & my need to return the item. They stated that they did not do returns & when I objected the owner was contacted via telephone. I told the owner that at no time during the purchase was I informed that the store had a no returns policy. The owner stated that there is a no returns sign clearly displayed in the store. I could see no sign so I asked the staff to point it out to me but they were unable to do so as there was no sign.

The owner then said that the receipt stated no returns. When I said that I had not received a receipt the attendant examined the receipt book in an attempt to prove me wrong only to find both copies of the receipt were still in the book!

I requested a refund but the owner flatly refused. I am disgusted by the bad attitude and dishonestly and will never shop at Mr. Hobbs again.
