My Cousin Angela suggested a Church to go to the Mormon Church in Lancaster, CA that would help me to relocate to another county because of an ex's abuse toward me and my children.

I attended a couple of services and partook in their communion services as well. Well it had something in the water they were giving out because it felt as though it like a tranquilizer of drug of some sort. A strange feeling came over me whenever I drank the water they were giving out to the Members. Nevertheless, My cousin Angela suggested I go in and speak with the Bishop to get help to relocate to Northern CA, Tehama County. So I did. When their Members, only men, no women, were coming to my house, they kept wanting me to say Joseph their leader was a prophet sent from God. I did not. When they helped me relocate they told me to check in with their Church in Tehama County. So I did

I attended once and got a very uncomfortable feeling. So I stopped atending, nevertheless, they continuted to come where I lived and kept harassing me into saying there Leader was a Prophet sent from GOD, well I did not, I moved to another apartment and they kept following me where ever I went or moved and continued to harass me into a saying this.

I never did, the only Prophet Joseph, was, is a profit of money from his members giving up oney from their pay checks. It was very parciular, there was never a woman sent, only men, not one woman from their Church harassed me, only the men recruiters for their Church.

They are wolves in sheep's clothing and just want members to give up money from their paychecks to support what ever purpose they want it for. This is how they make their money, the Church Heads don't work, they get money from the Members so they don't have to work.

The only prophet I see in this Church is the profit they get from Members hard earned money. It is just a scam, and they have their own Bible, they took parts of the King James Version and put it into their own version, which is plagerism.

Plagerism is against the Law, you cannot use someone else's idea for your own...

Wow, you must be a member. No I didn't use them at all. I actually welcomed them into my home and fed their members because they claimed they did not have food or other means to support their missionaries. The person being used was me, and harassed on a regualr basis and being forced into something against my will.

I don't answer to Mormon's I answer to God. Maybe you should do the same!

There are only 2 kinds of fruit, that that is good and that that is bad. Which one will you choose? I have been to many churches throughout my life beginning in Childhood. There are those that talk and there are those that walk. You either "Bare Good Fruit" or you "Bare Bad Fruit".

Update by SweetSag12

As you can see, there are those that bare good fruit and there are those that don't. Just read the comments...All I did was put the truth of what happened to me, and look at what has become of it. Who sounds like a "Phycho" to you? There are some in the churches that did not hurt me, but there were other's that were just ruthless, just to get what they want. No I don't Judge I just do the writing of what is true and what is not...All I was doing was visiting and this is what came of it...I am only a simple messenger...

To DB2010: I feel sorry for you you poor deluded soul God is a Spirit, a living energy, probably what many refer to as "Mother Nature" How can you even begin to believe that God is a sexual being. WHY would it be otherwise? Read the BIBLE! In all 66 books you will see many terms: God the FATHER, the SON of God, HE (the SON) sits at the right hand of God the FATHER, HE who sits on the throne... Starting to get the idea? And YES, ALL the other "religions" are wrong. They were invented by man. ONLY JESUS CHRIST bled & died for our sins. ONLY JESUS CHRIST raised the dead, made the blind to see, made the crippled walk... NONE of those false religions are anything but lies of satan.

To I Like Cookies 2: I didn't say he was brainwashed because he believes Jesus is the only way to heaven and Yes it is not cool to say evil comments to someone just because they don't agree with your thinking But none of you has yet answered me as to why you call God "He" which as I previously stated is illogical Also what about Bhuddists, Confucionists, Taoists, Hindus, Muslims, and all the others who see things differently ? Are your beliefs right and theirs' wrong?

A wise friend of mine told me something a long time ago He said all we all need to do is just live by the Golden Rule He said that if you really think about it the 10 Commandments are all just rewordings of that one simple concept and I realized he was right He said if all humans could just follow that one simple rule there would be no wars and no evil deeds done between people ever All the ultimate truisms boil down to that same philosophy: the Law of Karma, "what goes around comes around", and even the Ultimate Law of Physics; "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction" Think about it BYE

To DB2010: Obviously you are a victim of brainwashing and a prime example of the old saying " a rational person cannot successfully communicate with an irrational person" Don't worry about me as far as Hell goes. I've already been dead for 3 minutes in a hospital and been revived and I went to the other side and I know for a fact I'm going to a really great place when my physical body dies. Thanks for your kind wishes and I hope someday you see the light

To; alibaba20111; First, I'm not a spiritualist. Second, WHY would I read "The Gospel of Mary"? Mary was not, is not & never will be a deity! Third, WHY would I read FALSEHOODS/Satan's LIES (NAG Hammadi Texts)? Lastly, funny you mentioned Hell, it's where you are going for eternity.

What a ridiculous thing to say about spiritualist thinking Obviously we are all guided by morals so to suggest that a spiritualist person would do whatever they want is ludicrous Obviously you must be a narrow minded, reasonably uneducated individual with blinders on.Why don't you read The Gospel of St Thomas or The Gospel of Mary. Read some of the translations from the Nag Hammadi Texts and see some of the things Jesus actually said. Come down to Earth. Like Jesus said we don't need buildings made of wood or stone. And whoever the person is who said 'why do you call JW's a cult", you obviously didn't read or pay attention to what I wrote. What the hell as far as I'm concerned, the Mormons, the Jehovah's Witnesses, the Roman Catholics, and a number of others are cults

@alibaba
I can see why being a "Spiritualist" is so appealing. You make your own rules, you follow your own standards. You get to define your own spirituality. Somehow i dont think that was Jesus's gospel. And by the way...a spiritualist is someone who communicates with the dead. Like a phychic medium. Not sure if thats what you meant.

Now lets reason together a bit. I think we can agree that people on this earth have one God or Creator - logically God has one truth - logically he wants us to know the truth - logically he wants us to follow his truth - logically he wont teach us in person but through someone - now logically who do you think he would trust to teach us such an important message? In the Bible its called a Prophet. Now im not saying organized religion is not currupt, because it can be. But if God organized a religion or a church with prophets he chose to teach us his truth so we can follow him correctly, would that be such a bad thing? Or would it be better to have a God who doesnt care what we believe as long as we dont hurt others and are good "spiritualists" (whatever that means). Now would you say that if there is a God that it would be blasphemy to think that he would organize a church on earth through which his prophets taught his true gospel?

I find it sad that so many people around the world seem to think they need to belong to some kind of organized religion Jesus never said that we had to have churches and he definitely did not say that we need set other people on platforms(ministers, priests, etc.) and confer on them the power to somehow magically be the only channels of communication between us and God. Take a look at the Gnostics and their history and look at the Nag Hammadi texts and read the Apocrypha (Gospel of Mary). Jesus was viewed as a radical thinker and a dissident and religious leaders of his time hated him.because he told people we all are just like him and all of us can have a personal relationship with God without the need for any form of organized religious claptrap. Sorry to all you people I am sure to be offending but why don't you all try being spiritualists. Like Sri Chinmoy says "Religion is just the stepping to spirituality" and this from a defrocked Catholic priest who dared to speak this way publicly in the 70's " I don't need anyone between me and my Jesus" AL

Yes I am in Canada and all I did was fill out a request for more info info from these people and then closed the page on my browser. Now someone from this outfit phones me every other day. The first caller said i needed a credit card and it would only cost me $150 I told him I have no credit cards and I have bad credit. That seemed to put him off but 2 days later a different guy phones and says the first guy was BS'ing me and I could use PayPal Needless to say I brushed him off because obviously this smelled like a scam. The last call I got I got verbally abusive and told them to F Off Haven't heard from them since but who knows. These guys are BAD NEWS! AL

Cookies, what are you talking about? People get married all of the time in the LDS (Morman) church. Also, if there is any form of sexual abuse within the church, it is handled by both law enforcement and the church. You should get your facts straight.

WTF are you smoking? The Catholics sweep the child molestations under the rug, not the Mormons. Forbid people to marry? Forbid people to have premartial sex yes, marry no. The Mormon church strongly believes in family and most of their beliefs revolve around being married for all eternity.

Come on people, grow up. Everyone has a rite to worship who they want. Whatever makes you happy. You have gay people in the world, we need to leave them alone. If they are happy, not our worries. Same as religion. Im LDS but I am happy for what I belive in. I am not the best mormon in the world, but I do not judge others. Jesus did not judge, why do we?

I am a member or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. If you are not a member of the church, but yet received assistance in moving and other related expenses, then how can you possibly speak this way? Monies for assistance of any kind is paid out of Fast Offerings. We are commanded to pay a 10% tithe, but fast offerings (though a commandment) are up to our free will and generosity. Of course if the church helped you I could see it as very reasonable the members would feel a sense of duty to share their message with you. It would almost seem that your own gratitude would lead you to want to learn more about a church who would enable a complete stranger. Isn't that very little to ask in return for the countless hours spent to assist you and money provided?

I have nevber read such ignorance as those this person has posted. You are so full of it I can smell you upwind. No one "harrassed" you, no one "drugged" your water. You can be written off as nothing but the complete crackpot you are. No doubt you actually attend some southern church where anyone who chooses to call himself a "preacher" can do do without requiring any education. Your rant is total crap and while I wager you don't know that yourself, any thinking person can see right through you.

FTC Charges Massive Internet Enterprise with Scamming Consumers Out of Millions Billing Month-After-Month for Products and Services They Never Ordered
Defendants Allegedly Created 51 Shell Companies to Carry Out Deception
The Federal Trade Commission is taking legal action against a far-reaching Internet enterprise that allegedly has made millions of dollars by luring consumers into “trial” memberships for bogus government-grant and money-making schemes, and then repeatedly charging them monthly fees for these and other memberships that they never signed up for. The FTC seeks to stop the illegal practices and make the defendants pay redress to consumers and give up their ill-gotten gains.
“No consumer should be sucker-punched into making payments for products they don’t know about and don’t want, ” said FTC Chairman Jon Leibowitz.
The FTC’s complaint alleges that the defendants offer consumers bogus money-making and government-grant opportunities. They claim that the offers are “free” or “risk-free, ” and that they will charge customers only a small shipping and handling fee.
According to the FTC’s complaint, the operation, doing business under the name I Works and controlled by Jeremy Johnson and nine other individuals, uses websites that tout the availability of government grants to pay personal expenses or pitch various money-making programs. The websites offer “free” information at no risk and ask consumers to provide their credit or debit card numbers to pay for a small shipping and handling fee such as $1.99. When consumers provide their billing information, though, I Works proceeds to charge them hefty one-time fees of up to $129.95 and monthly recurring fees of up to $59.95 for the grant or money-making programs. I Works charges them additional monthly fees for one or more unrelated programs that consumers did not agree to.
The FTC’s complaint alleges that this scheme has caused hundreds of thousands of consumers to seek chargebacks – reversals of charges to their credit cards or debits to their banks accounts. The high number of chargebacks has landed the defendants in VISA’s and MasterCard’s chargeback monitoring programs, resulted in millions of dollars in fines for excessive chargebacks, and prevented the defendants from getting access to the credit card and debit card billing systems using their own names. To keep the scam going, the defendants tricked banks into giving them continued access to these billing systems by creating 51shell companies with figurehead officers, and by providing the banks with phony “clean” versions of their websites.
The FTC has charged the defendants with violating the FTC Act by misrepresenting that government grants are available for paying personal expenses, that consumers are likely to obtain grants by using the defendants’ program, that users of their money-making products will earn substantial income, and that their offers are free or risk-free. The complaint also alleges that defendants failed to disclose that consumers who pay a nominal shipping and handling fee will be enrolled in expensive plans that charge consumers fees until they cancel, and that the defendants charged consumers’ credit cards and debited their bank accounts without their consent.
In addition, the FTC alleges that defendants posted deceptive positive reviews and used deceptive testimonials that misrepresented the benefits of their grant services. Finally, the FTC has charged the defendants with violating the Electronic Fund Transfer Act and Regulation E by debiting consumers’ bank accounts without their signed written consent and without providing consumers with a copy of the written authorization.
As alleged in the complaint, the defendants gained access to the Visa and MasterCard systems through many entities. The banks included Wells Fargo, N.A., HSBC Bank USA, First Regional Bank, Harris National Association, and Columbus Bank and Trust Company. The payment processors the defendants used included First Data, ECHO, Global Payment Systems, Litle & Co., Moneris, Payment Tech, Trident, and Vital, as well as independent sales organizations, including CardFlex, RDK Inc., Merchant eSolutions, Pivotal Payments, PowerPay, and Swipe Merchant Solutions.

The FTC complaint names 10 individuals, 10 corporations, and 51 shell companies as defendants. As alleged in the complaint, the lynchpin of the enterprise is Jeremy Johnson, the sole owner and officer of I Works Inc., which has done business under numerous names. The FTC’s complaint names Johnson and nine other individual defendants: Duane Fielding; Andy Johnson; Loyd Johnston; Scott Leavitt; Scott Muir; Bryce Payne; Kevin Pilon; Ryan Riddle; and Terrason Spinks. In addition, the 10 corporate defendants are: I Works Inc.; Anthon Holdings Corp.; Cloud Nine Marketing Inc.; CPA Upsell Inc.; Elite Debit Inc.; Employee Plus Inc.; Internet Economy Inc.; Market Funding Solutions Inc.; Network Agenda LLC; and Success Marketing Inc.
The 51 shell companies named in the complaint are Big Bucks Pro Inc., Blue Net Progress Inc., Blue Streak Processing Inc., Bolt Marketing Inc., Bottom Dollar Inc., doing business as BadCustomer.com, Bumble Marketing Inc., Business First Inc., Business Loan Success Inc., Cold Bay Media Inc., Costnet Discounts Inc., CS Processing Inc., Cutting Edge Processing Inc., Diamond J. The Commission vote to file the complaint was 5-0. The complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.
NOTE: The Commission authorizes the filing of a complaint when it has “reason to believe”
that the law has been or is being violated, and it appears to the Commission that a proceeding is in the public interest. The complaint is not a finding or ruling that the defendants have actually violated the law.
The Federal Trade Commission works for consumers to prevent fraudulent, deceptive, and unfair business practices and to provide information to help spot, stop, and avoid them. To file a complaint in English or Spanish, visit the FTC’s online Complaint Assistant or call 1-877-FTC-HELP [protected]). just a thought... Christianity is not really a religion. it's a way of living, and following the guy who actually died for your sins...
JESUS. the bible just tells us how to accept him and know him better. do following cults or groups aint the right thing,
but following that little voice in your head, called conscience is the right way.
@ sweet sag if you don't feel u gotta giv ur tithe to the bishop.. don't... just give you tithe to someone who is really in
need. easy picks could be like, orphans in Sudan.
and yup... tithes should come from the heart, no one should ask you for it. if you don't feel right in one church look
for another. if you can't just lock your door and pray that u might find one.
@DB nice arguments. but you gotta always remember Jesus loves everyone now and does not accuse anyone.
as a christian i believe we should do the same too.
...always open for comments :p :)

I'm sorry that you were harassed in California. Which Mormon church harassed you? I spent the first 17 years of my life without the church. We don't have that kind of harassment here in my part of Maryland, or in Provo, Utah. I hope you find the kind loving people that I have. I am NOT saying that the only place that I have found kind and loving people are in my church; but I must say that out of the people I know from my church, a very high percentage of them are the kindest most loving people I know. I believe this is because the Church teaches correct principles, and a person learns THE WAY to act. Some members, when first entering the Church are so enthusiastic about the newfound gospel, that they may come across too strong. Maybe argumentative. But that's the exception rather than the rule.

Some of the comments made about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints having a lot of money (like it's a bad thing) is probably true. Money talks, and it's easier to help the needy if you are wealthy. This church probably is one of the biggest reasons why there aren't many, many, many more homeless people than there are. My husband and I have been prevented more than once from being put out on the street due to illness and it's subsequent lack of money. The money for this is collected from the members who fast once/month and give money that they would have spent on food to the needy. They often give 2 or more times the amount of money. I am thankful to the faithful members of the church who sacrificed so that the needy have a roof over their heads. I think that homelessness is one of society's biggest problems today. Without the Church, our society would be a worse place to live. I'm thankful they have the money they do. I know of more than just myself who had to be rescued from homelessness and hunger. I'm glad that I had taken part in helping to can food for the needy, so that I don't have to feel so sheepish accepting the bounty of food that they gave me. God helps us through others. Tithing and offerings which are the way that He helps the needy. "Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse; for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, sayeth the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven. and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." I thoroughly investigated the Mormon Church. While they don't put GHB in their water, they ARE pests. It is a white male supremacist cult and thoroughly sexist and misogynist. If women had any status at all (except as breeders) in this cult, they SHOULD HAVE HAD THE SENSATIVITY to know you don't come to the aid of a woman who has been abused by a spouse, WITH A CROWD OF MEN! Mormon women take a vow of obedience to their husbands. Women carry out no official business in this cult because of their sexist dogma. Hence, this already frightened woman was indeed bullied by the "boy's club". How do I know this? Because I was a member for an entire year before I could no longer stand the disrespect for women. And what was finally the breaking point? When one of the "elder" 18-yr-old "missionary's" (Mormon speak for door-to-door salesmen) told my husband he and his partner had no where to stay. So my naive husband invited them to stay at OUR house. Whereupon, they proceeded to ask me to play "strip poker" w/ them, (while he was at work!) and one of them TOOK MY HAND AND PUT IT ON HIS ERECT P****! What kind of behavior can one expect from men who are taught that women have but one purpose. Indeed, this is a cult that was founded by their "prophet and revelator", Joseph Smith, when he got a little "randy" and decided that one, or even two women weren't enough for him. How does one excuse immoral womanizing? Just say "God told me to do it". Yep, that makes it alright. Church of "Jesus Christ" of Latter Day Saints is a misnomer. I never heard the name of Jesus Christ being taught or preached. In fact, the ONLY time I ever heard the name of Jesus Christ was as a kind of punctuation at the end of prayer. It is the "Church" of Joseph Smith of "Latter Day Saints". Thus, their claim to be "Christians" is also erroneous. Perhaps "Smithians" might be more accurate? The bible doesn't NEED rewriting. So why does this cult send "door to door salesmen"? What are they selling? The Mormon "Church" is big business and regularly has ads on TV. If it looks like merchandising, acts like merchandising, then it probably IS merchandising.

It is VERY obvious that your "story, ' which that is what it REALLY is, is nothing but lies. Lets be honest for once shall we? Not asking too much am I?

First off, they DO NOT put anything in their water, as it is tap water they use, and that can be city water and yes depending on what city you live in, it can taste funny. But the first clue to your lies is when you mentioned about their "communion, " which if you really knew anything about the LDS church (actual name of the church your speaking of, or more specfically, The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints) then you would know that they DO NOT have communion, Catholics do and maybe other faiths. The LDS church have "Sacrament." Same purpose, but different, as the LDS church does not use wine or wafers. But the water does represent the blood.

So I would get your facts right, before you go speaking of something you know nothing about. And the the LDS church do have Women missionaries. So it's not just the men who make visits to members places of residences.

Now something you have got to understand, is that there ARE people that call themselves, "Mormons" but they ARE NOT members of the LDS church and therefor ARE NOT reconized as members. And they themselves will even attest to that FACT. If you want to learn the TRUTH about the LDS church, then visit their official websites. www.lds.org & www.mormon.org

What's the best way to learn the truth about something/someone? By asking them. Not someone who is not a member or has something against them, enough to make up lies. Think about this: Would you go to a Ford dealership and ask about a Chevy vehicle? NO! So why would you go to a Baptist church and ask about the Islamic faith? Ummmmmmmmmmm

OMG LMAO! Some of these comments are funny, some of them are food for thought. There is no point of arguing. People believe whomever they chose. This situation doesn't just happen w/ Mormons it happens with a lot of different religons.
@Tonya, maybe you should have looked at other alternatives such as women abuse shelters or a women against violence, something of that nature to get help. If they are really harrassing you and you don't want to be bothered, you should let them know or if it's really that bad, maybe you should get a restraining order. Regardless if she used them (not saying you did) to get out of your situation or not, they can't force themselves or their religion on you. However, you should have known what you were getting yourself into before and asked questions or done research hun. Not the first time I heard that about Mormons though. And it's not the religion that's " bad" or whatever (someone said about muslims attacking us), it's the people and the stupid choices they make and as the saying goes one bad apple spoils the bunch.

the Bible says, the church that says 3 times holiness to the lord... is the false religion... and also says the book who takes the bible out of context or adds or takes from it will be done the same to... The LDS church has holiness to the lord on their main tabernacle in Salt Lake City on their golden window inscribed 3 times.
