Mopro re: support

For a company that sells the idea of building an effective tool for communication and working to build a marketing strategy, they sure have no idea what communication is. By far THE WORST website company I have ever worked with. I thought WordPress was bad, this takes the cake, the streamers and noisemakers. I have had Mopro for just about a year and they are constantly changing the backend of the site, forgetting to update things on the front end and they go through employees like water. In my time with them, we have had 7 different account reps, managers, supervisors, etc. I'm not even sure who my account rep is now and have no contact for them but the generic moproteam email address that I have messaged five times now for one thing and I still have gotten no response.

If you are okay with a cheap site and a staff of people who cannot follow directions then create nothing but a headache due to lack of communication, go with MOPRO. IF my company didn't have so much invested with them, I would have been out months ago.

Mopro providing website services?

I hired MoPro after I was pitched at a Keller Williams Luxury Properties conference last year and signed the contract 6 months ago. The product that I received was not what I was sold. The website has taken over six months to build because the team is not able to follow instructions. It is impossible to get ahead with the unbelievable amount of mistakes that are made during the build process so we are stuck in a constant cycle of changes. We have had issues with both customer service and the platform itself, they include:

- Most of the changes we send over come back not done, or done incorrectly.
- Elements that were previously fine are inexplicably messed up.
- I was told that we would be able to make our own changes to site, this is not true. We can only make the most simple of copy changes on SOME pages.
- We are not able to publish our own property listings, only upload pictures and then notify MoPro to publish them.
- We have complained MULTIPLE times about our issues, 4 months ago we were told we would get a refund for the months we have not had a site. We never saw the refund.
- After telling them we wanted to terminate and get our money back we were told the billing department would contact us. No one has and we have contacted them multiple times more.

They have taken the site down that was in construction and we still have no response from them. MoPro has taken my money, delivered no product, and have not responded to any communications.

Mopro read before buying - total scam!

I wish I read the MoPro reviews before signing up with them. At the time, I was trying to decide between MoPro, SetMySite, and Web.com. My mistake was I just went off each company's features and pricing pages - I didn't read the reviews. I let the MoPro rep sell me on all the bells and whistles. I honestly just needed a website, but all the extra marketing stuff sounded great, so I went with MoPro. HUGE MISTAKE!

Not only were all these "great extras" complete bull, but they never even finished my website. Had I read the MoPro reviews, I would've realized that this situation was not unique to me - there are TONS of people getting screwed. HERE'S THEIR SCAM...

They initially "completed" my site in about 2 days - I thought, "Wow, that's quick!" Then I saw what they made and thought, "Wow, that's terrible." They took an ugly template, switched some pictures, slapped my business name on it and said, "Here ya go!" Honestly, my son's 3rd grade art projects would better represent my business than the garbage MoPro calls a website.

AND IT GETS WORSE! I tried to get them to fix the site. The design kept getting worse, but the typos and spelling errors were what really got to me. Over and over again, I had to contact them multiple times to fix the text that was obviously written by someone overseas. It would take MoPro 3-4 days just to fix simple spelling mistakes! So MoPro will build your entire site in 2 days, but it takes them 4 days just to correct spelling errors? This went on for months - TOTAL SCAM.

I started googling them and after reading multiple MoPro reviews, I realized I was just one of many that got screwed - THE STORIES ARE HORRIFYING! So I went back to my other original options - Web.com and SetMySite. Web.com had a convincing salesman - it reminded me of… oh yeah… MoPro. I checked out Web.com reviews and sure enough, they were almost just as terrible as MoPro's. Then I called SetMySite - not salesy or pushy, but I checked out their reviews anyways because I was just tired of getting screwed at this point. SetMySite didn't have as many reviews as the other two (I think because they're a smaller company), but they were almost all good so I decided to give them a shot. They took about 4 weeks to build my site, but it was well worth the wait - the difference was night and day. And their customer service was just as good as the site they built me. These guys not only handle my edits in 24 hours, but sometimes they even get them done while I'm on the phone with them. SetMySite (so far) has turned out to be everything MoPro promises but could never deliver on. And that's the problem - MoPro is all talk and no walk.

Here's MoPro's SCAM in a nutshell - they are the time-share guys of website design. Their pushy sales people convince you to sign a contract for something you'll never be able to use. And if you can use it, you'll need to contact them. When you try to contact them for service, their support team will "understand your frustration" and promise to have someone get in touch with you. But no one ever contacts you and nothing happens. So you have to contact them again… only so they can blame you for an issue they caused or didn't fix. It's a brilliant little scheme they have going over there.

They're not a website design company - they're a waste management company. They take a website template that looks like garbage and then move a bunch of crap around on it hoping you'll like their recycled nonsense. Then when you try to work with them, they have nothing but excuses, delays, arrogance, or just downright unresponsiveness. If you want a premade website template, you don't need to pay MoPro $199 per month. Go to Wix - they have plenty of templates starting at $5/mo. But if you like flushing your money down the toilet to get a website that looks like something in a toilet, MoPro is the company for you.

Honestly, I don't know how these people are still in business. If you're looking at different website design companies, do your homework. Lesson learned.

Thank you for sharing your mopro review. I was very close to signing up but was told to make sure I scan the internet for reviews prior. Very glad I did. I also appreciate your recommendations and will look into each and do review searches for each recommendation as well.

YUP! The Mopro reviews are true. They're really really bad. Anytime I called them, it was like they were playing hot potato with me.

I also switched to setmysite.com about a year ago and could not be happier. You're in for a treat with the boys over there @mike62. They know what they're doing.

I could not agree more! All the MoPro reviews are the same. They tried passing off a disgrace of a website on us too. I don't know how these guys are still in business. Honestly. They are the worst.

Mopro sales and unauthorized credit card charges

I just found out by one of your billing reps that we will never own the website and we will have to continue to pay this fee for the duration of the site with your company. THAT is not what I was promised in the beginning. I was told that we had to stay with the company for 6 months or pay a penalty and then after 6 months we would be free and clear to stay or leave the company services for additional assistance. The first payment was set up for direct pay and they debited my credit card without asking after I informed them that is not the way we want to do business. We were never told we would constantly have to pay during the initial phone call with the sales rep. If I knew we had to rent the site or pay this fee if we have the website or just to have it posted and designed, we would have never used your services. We were a company wanting to get someone to form a website for us, not keep paying to post it. We already pay for hosting. This is not the way you do business with people. So, we will not continue our business with your company. I have had reps to tell me they are taking money out of my bank acct. I have sent numerous emails concerning information on the site background information. I have been given instructions on how to add and delete things on the site when I thought it was a part of the fee. I have paid this company almost $1k that is now lost. Moro does great work, but sales needs to tell the truth and let the customer decide based on that. I came to this company even after reading the negative reviews on Yelp. I am very upset that I wasted my money and now we have nothing to show for it. Just a total loss!

Mopro mopro website design

I contacted mopro in april 2017
To build a website for my company
They made me pay upfront but said
That they would have my website up
And running in two weeks I waited
A week and contacted them
They had nothing to show me
No work had been done
Because they said the person
Building it was no longer an employee
Since april I have tried over and over
Again to communicate with them
When they finally built something
After I spent hours sending in
Products with decsiptions and.
Pricing they posted them in the
Wrong order and with no description
Or pricing I had annouced to my
Clientele that we had a website
And after calling mopro again
They told me they would make
All additional changes again
They never have they never
Will they are nothing more
Than a scam and I have lost
Clients because of this
I have requested a refund
And they resonded that I signed
An aggreement that states all
Fees are non refundable
But they seem to forget that
Federal consumer law states that
Any buisness that charges money
Stating that the fees are non refundable
If they are in breach of said contract
And if the ammout exseeds $50.000
The federal trade commison can
Charge them with fraud

Mopro website

I don't want to be too lengthy here because Mopro has already wasted hours of my time. I completely agree with the previous scam report. Mopro is incompetent and blames every problem on you, the customer. I agreed to use their service for SEO help and a better online storefront...the shopping cart NEVER worked, not for ONE customer. I spoke with multiple "experts" and no one fixed it. They said I would need to consult a third-party for help. Then what am I paying you $150/month for? They refused to refund my money. Cancelling was also a nightmare. That "team" was conveniently out sick when I needed them. They only finally let me cancel when my credit card fraud department called them.

Mopro Web design

When I initially contacted the sales team I was assured that the web design that I was looking for was within their scope. I even gave the sales agent specific examples of web designs that I liked and wanted for my site. I was happy that I finally found a web design company that would handle things and give me the design and look that I was looking for. I initially paid the upfront cost of $1, 500 which included a video production that they would also handle. During the process I was given a web designer that not only was very difficult to work with since she seemed to always be rushed during our telephone conversations, but when giving her all material including sample drawings of the site that I wanted she not only wasn't able to assist but instead passed me along to another web designer that advised he was more advanced and can assist with the changes that I wanted. After working with him not only was he not able to design the site to the way I wanted but finally admitted that the design I was looking for was out of their scope and that I would need to work with the templates that they used. All of this time 6 months had flown by and I was being charged $149 a month during that time (original sales person did not mention a monthly fee during the process). In addition every time I tried to communicate with the web designer there would not only be days but also weeks that I wouldn't hear back from them. When I finally decided to end this nightmare I was given a 3rd sales person who I shared my experience and took 3 weeks to get back to me to tell me that they would only refund me $298. As a small business owner I was so disappointed that not only was my case not given much attention, but Mopro management did not want to take full responsibility for what had happened. I WOULD STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY! There are better web designers out there and MOPRO IS NOT ONE OF THEM!

Mopro I didn't get promised stuff and no idea how to get money back

I asked the representative of Mopro Inc. to provide some services and web for my design. I have paid upfront and was patient. However, these guys decided to scam me. They got my money and did nothing. The job hasn’t been done. I heard nothing from them after our first conversation. I am trying to get money back, but all my efforts were useless. Help me, please.

Mopro They still haven't provided refund

I have a deal with the company Mopro Web Hosting. This company was hired to create the website, but they haven’t fulfilled the obligations. So, I requested the refund and I asked 4 times to return my money. These people ignored my requests and they filled the dispute. I filled the form and after that moment I heard nothing from these guys. Don’t deal with them! Waste of money and time.
