My name is Robyn Singleton and I am veteran of the US Navy and I am disabled and service connected for PTSD, major depression and minor ailments. I am single, live alone and my son was removed from my care by Monterey County CPS in 2012, they canceled reunification services after 2 years because they said they legally had to. The legal issues that came from it left me without income, homeless and having a mental breakdown I had to move to San Diego for much needed help and benefits. I have been in San Diego for 3 years now and in that time I found a stable place to live, therapy and medications are stable and up to date and i completed Vocational Rehab through the VA and plan on attending community college in the coming spring term. My issue is that I have gotten no help from social workers, or supervisors and I have been trying to get my son back. They are keeping him in a group home when i am willing and capable of caring for him. I dont drink, do drugs and never had issues with either of those things. I believe that the supervisor Valencia Cameron has a personal hatred for me and all she does is state lies as facts and then insults me. I am at a loss. I dont know what to do. I know Monterey County CPS was investigated due to deaths and also like to add that my son was removed from his foster family because THEY hit him. I am being discriminated against due to my disabilities. I am willing, able and capable to care for my son. Jaime Perez is the current social worker and he never calls me back either. I have already contacted my congressman in the San Diego area and already sent an email to the state attorney general Xavier Becerra. The state has my son and will not let me visit see him or attempt to regain custody . I am 80% service connected veteran and my status is being used against me. Supervisor is Valencia Cameron and Jaime Perez is the social worker. Robyn Singleton, [protected]

I had an issue with Salinas Social Service when trying to apply for SNAP. I’m 66 & on SSI. The girl handling my case was a young Hispanic girl & kind of rude to me & appeared to have a bad attitude. She ended up with my name totally wrong & left my husband out totally so we had to get someone else to add him on to the case so we could both get SNAP. I had called & talked to a supervisor & put in a complaint against her, & made them get my name correct.
