I have been out of work for over two months now and am at the end of my rope regarding these so called online job boards. I've applied for hundreds of jobs using this "service" and not received one call for an interview. I understand we're in a recession, but that should affect the number of jobs listed on the site. It does seem like slim pickings, but after awhile it's insane I'm not getting called back to interview for jobs I'm perfectly qualified for.

What I do get is spam. Lots of it. Everything from buying insurance to the stupid University of Phoenix. (By the way, I already have my masters and I promise if I want to buy a new degree without having to actually earn it, you'll be at the top of my list). That's all Monster seems good for: getting spam.

These are terrible times. People are desperate for work. Monster should be doing all it can to help people get jobs, not line it's own pockets with spammer's money.

When I complained to Monster about this, the response I got was that I should upgrade my resume to a gold account or something so employers notice it better. Of course, it's a service Monster charges for. You know, because being out of work means I have PLENTY of spare money to do that.

Who are these people? Have they no souls? How do they sleep at night knowing that they are making matters worse for millions of unemployed people?

How could they have good jobs. When none of the good consultant stay with their package, when they scam with companies & fool them why would anyone take interest to post good jobs on it. Any genuine & good consultants are getting scammed by monster.com. So this way they would never have any kind of good jobs for sure.

Please avoid monster.com, Monster.com is A CHOR Company.

I've applied for hundreds of jobs on Monster and I have never received ANY notifications from the jobs I applied for. How do they get away with this? I am sure they are selling our information and the only phone calls I received were from schools wanting my business? I finally caught on to their scams and read the fine print. Also, I find it very disturbing they are in with Facebook!

SAME EXPERIENCE. MOST "JOBS" EITHER DO NOT EXIST OR, WORSE YET, "MONSTER" DOESN'T SUBMIT ANY APPLICATIONS TO THE PROVIDERS. I THINK THAT MONSTER IS JUST "TROLLING" AND DESEMINSATING CONSUMER INFORMATION TO "SPAMMERS"

Totally agree with you. I will warn my son who will graduate from college soon about
not using a service like monster. I knew one individual that worked for them. She is
one of the biggest scam artist I know. Great fit for her.
