Mni*creditrpt Serv / Equifax / took money without consent!

1 United States Review updated:

This place has charged my acct. Two times in the last two days a charge of $9.95 without my consent. My husband did one online credit check on equifax or one of those 3 credit services for free so he thought. We've used this company once before and didn't have any issues. I have been unsuccessful in finding a number to contact them jerks both equifax and mni creditrpt serv., but am disputing the charges with my bank as we absolutely did not give this company consent to charge our account. I am extremely upset over this situation and warn anyone about using an online credit service even though they say they are free and are supposedly trustworthy like equifax. Equifax is susceptible to fraud as well as any other company in the world and cannot be trusted with your account information. All the more reason why you should never give out your information on the internet.

I absolutely agree with you Amy. For the past three month those jackholes, have been taking $9.95 from my account with out my consent. I haven't been to their site in just over 2 months now and I am very peeved that there seems to be no way, on this earth to contact them, or to confront them, without being charged again, about their fraudulent charges.

1-800-720-4420, is the number to contact. I had the same problems with them charging my accounts.

That 800-720-4420 is not a working number it is ringing busy. The number is 1-866-408-4016. Them people is some thief. They also took money from me unauthorize. I will never deal with them again. I will deal with the real equifax.

I also went on-line for their so called "Free Credit Report". My credit card has been charged twice. Once before I realized they were going to charge me monthly and once after I called and told them I wanted it canceled. I had to fax them a statement saying I wanted this account canceled. Between my call and the time I was able to fax the required statement, I was charged again. This is a big ripoff!

    GOOD NEWS, GOOD NEWS,

For everyone who is trying to get resolution to this ongoing barrage of being charged without your knowledge or consent. Let me start by saying that I was a victim to the onslaught of unapproved charges every month. I too, was unable to get any results on this matter and was obviously very peeved. I took action today, by writing an email to the "Support Team" at: www.creditreport.com. I gave them my full name, and told them that I wanted the service that they were charging me for deactivated. I gave them an Order ID # that had been emailed to me some time last year. (If you don't have this #, I am sure that you can use the Phone #s included below to talk to an operator who will have some kind of personal account, or card# to reference the order by.) I also requested them to send an email confirmation for the deactivation, (so that I could keep it for my records, pending any further charges). I received afore mentioned request for email confirmation today as well:

    Thank you for contacting Creditreport.com:

We have gone ahead and processed your request for the cancellation of your credit monitoring service. If you have any further questions please contact our customer service department at 800-720.4420 or 818-407-4620 Monday- Friday 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m and Sundays 8:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m PST.

    Thank you, CreditReport.com.

Hopefully this will be helpful for those of you who have found yourself in this unfortunate situation.

This place has charged my acct. a charge of $9.95 without my consent. I ran online credit check on Experian and it was suppose to be FREE or so I thought and I see they also charged me $12.95. The number on my bank statement is only partial and I have been unsuccessful in finding a number to contact them. Both Experian and MNI Creditrpt Serv., but am disputing the charges with my bank as I absolutely did not give these companies consent to charge my account. I am extremely upset over this situation and warn anyone about using an online credit service even though they say they are FREE and are supposedly trustworthy like Experian. Experian I guess is susceptible to fraud as well as any other company in the world and I find cannot be trusted with your account information. All the more reason why you should NEVER give out your information on the internet.

I called the customer service line and they canceled my credit monitoring service that comes with the free credit report. when you sign up for the free credit report it also signs you up for a credit monitor. That is where the charges are coming from. Thank you Harley Hildenbrand for the information.

I ordered this service in an effort to improve my credit score and while they were supposedly monitoring my credit I had my account info stolen and fraudulent charges to my accounts and they did not even notify me. They also charge me twice one month and said they were unable to process the next month but my account shows that they did get paid. I called and canceled my account with the number above. The agent on the phone was not very helpful. Don't use these people, they s*ck.

Stay away from this company! Do not give them any information! They are thieves! We actually used them for a year and paid over $160.00 It took them months to report any changes in our accounts, they were useless. When they sent us emails to renew we just let it slide. Well don't do that! They charged us for another year without our authorization! They told us if you don't respond to renewals they automatically renew and charge you! What a scam! Just try to cancel, forget it, they assure you all accounts are closed then send you another email about your membership! We tried to be nice, it doesn't work! Where can I find a lawyer to sue these jerks?? HOW ABOUT ALL GETTING TOGETHER AND FILING A CLASS ACTION SUIT??? What a mistake getting involved with this terrible company! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! As for the free report, wise up, nothing is ever free!

Please help me with any information on how to get my money back. I went to the atm and took money out to find out that this company took money off my card. I didn't give them permission to charge my account. I don't even remeber doing any buisness with this company. I called the number to be put on hold over and over for long periods of time. I am so very pissed that they think they can just take money from me without permission. I have not any idea who they are and I would like my money back. I am looking at my statement to see that they plan on taking money from my account tomorrow...today is 3/27/08 and it says 3/28/08. I don't think this is legal and like I said I am very upset that people think they can play with others money.
    Any help would be appricated...
