Misses Dressy Fraud

I'll summarise my painful experience with MissesDressy.com in two words: AVOID IT! This company shipped my clothes to an address never supplied by me. Additionally, they are pathetically ignoring my requests to call Aramex and fix the trouble they have created. They put you on the phone on-hold forever like if we were kids and a play ground! At least, if they are brave enough, they could say that yes we took your money and we will not give you your times but no they don't have that kind of courage because thieves don't have it as well. Again, just DON'T BUY from them and advise all your relatives and friends of the same.

I ordered a dress from MissesDressy.com. On June 15, 2014. The dress arrived on 6/20 and I picked it up at the post office on 6/21. We were on our way out of town and I did not get a chance to try the dress on until yesterday 6/29. The dress was too big and I needed to exchange it for a smaller size. After a couple of communications with Misses Dressy, they insisted that this was a special order and could not be returned or exchanged. This doesn't meet their definition of special order and the order NEVER stipulated that it was a special order. This is a quote from their site "Special order means that the dress has not yet been made and will need to be cut just for you. The processing time will give you an estimate, usually between 6-8 weeks and 16-18 weeks to produce the dress...we will verify for you whether or not the dress can be produced in time." Since I received the dress 6 days after the order was placed It DOES NOT MEET THE CRITERIA for Special Order. So then they reverted to that I didn't notify them within 3 days of receiving the dress. This is an off the rack dress and in less than a week's time, you cannot exchange it for a different size. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS ONLINE STORE.

I worked as a freelance description writer for this site. They were HORRIBLE. They paid me MANY times late. At one point, the refused to pay me for my work for over 3 weeks. They knew I had to be paid too, but blamed everything on me and suggested I do their work for them even after my contract has ended. I once called them and told them to pay me, and the worker screamed at me and hung up. It wasn't until I got a lawyer and the department of labor involved that they actually paid for what I worked. HORRIBLE costumer service. bad company and bad people. Like children. Hopefully they die out soon and the business goes bye bye, because they are rude, stupid and a bunch of liars.

I ordered a dress for a wedding. On the check out page it said usually ships within 5-7 business days. The dress took over three months to arrive. When it did arrive it didn't fit even though I ordered a size bigger than I normally do to ensure it would fit. I returned it because I could no longer use it for the wedding and was then on a time crunch to find a dress that would work. Upon returning it, I was only credited $98 for a $138 dress. In the terms and conditions it says "d. You will be given full store credit valid for six months at MissesDressy.com, on the first dress you return. This will be credited to your MissesDressy account and applied against your next purchase." I obviously was not give a FULL refund. Additionally, the email I received detailing my store credit (only way I could get money back), said nothing about the credit expiring in 6 months. If I am not mistaken, money spent, in way of gift cards or store credits, can never expire. If you buy something at Macy's and get a store credit, it does not expire. That is pretty universal. Regardless, there is a serious issue of with transparency to customers here. They obviously are in the business of ripping customers off by being misleading and feigning due dilligence by referring back to their T&C's which are unfair to customers. Additionally, when I called to discuss the initial issue of being misled on the shipping time frame, their customer service was horrible. I could not understand the representative because of her thick accent. She made no effort to work with me on a solution or be empathetic. Overall horrible experience. I am left feeling ripped off by a business that is in it to take advantage of people.

WORST EXPERIENCE. They were rude, unhelpful and mean. I purchased a dress I could barely afford for my sisters graduation. On the site it appeared that the dress was on stock and it even gave me an option for one day shipping. I purchase the dress to later get an email saying that the dress wouldn't be a viable until november which was THREE MONTHS too late.

I immediately called to cancel to find not only that I could cancel it but also mean people with strong accents that couldn't understand me nor help me. I asked to talk to the supervisor, he had also a weird accent, he started SHOUTING at me and de respecting me.
IT WAS TERRIBLE. i never got my money back, I wont get the dress, and I was mistreated by these awful people.

Do not buy from this website - they are dishonest and not reputable. I ordered a dress for my daughter's wedding. The dress arrived with flaws. I requested a replacement but because it was not within 3 days they would not take responsibility for shipping flawed merchandise. I paid over $400 for a dress that cannot be worn. They don't follow any of the policies on their website except the 3 day return policy and that policy is never communicated to you at the time of ordering, purchase or receipt. Also the 3 day policy is to prevent wearing the dress and returning but they were well aware my event date was 6 weeks away and the dress could never have been worn in the condition it was received. If you order from this website, you risk a big chance of being ripped off. Read the other reviews, they all reflect poor to non-existent customer service and loss of money. This company has close to 100 complaints with the BBB. Beware.

I ordered a dress and received the exact dress I ordered. However, it did not fit. The measurements for the dress were between size 6 and 7, but it was a size 8! I am a size 8! I told them that the dress manufacturer made the dress too small for a size 8 and that I wanted to return it. However, the return policy for the order expired before the item was even received at my house! I recommend doing business where the customer service is actually a priority. They will not take it back and I am now an owner of a $400 size 6.5 dress that says size 8 that I can't fit.

Stay away from missy dressy

i am pursuing a lawsuit against them. We must get them off the net they are thieves. Have no dresses
for sale. Just take your money...Sizes are wayyyyy offff...I you ever get a dress it wont be the same
you ordered or, the size will be so far off you wont be able to use it...Stay away from them !

Do not do not...Deal with them. 6 months ago i ordered, paid $425 got the wrong dress twice, very poor
quality walmart quality still no dress. I am forced now, due to many, many lies, contact an attorney
and hopefully they can pull a 'cease and resist' no more business and close this place up.
The lies, poor quality, no shipments, now not available, was available when ordered, was at the
place for shipping last week, now this week, not available.
What is the matter with them. Do not do not deal with them. They are in the busines to collect large
sums of money for dresses that are very low quality, coming from out of the country ?) or, not not
available at all.
They will hear from my attorney who will force them out of business, when i will finally get my refund
which they say ' is not available " so please for your own sake do not deal with these sub-standard people do not trust them ...

After spending all night calling missesdressy (I live in Australia and was up all night calling from 9am to 5pm NY time)I was told several times that a supervisor would be calling me back in 30 minutes and nobody ever called, I have now reached the end of my ability to continue to pursue this issue with this company as I now believe to be wasting my time.
This is my experience:
1- I was assured that the dress was available for immediate shipping, I have contacted missesdressy on chat and via email before I placed my order - and in all occassions I was assured teh dress would be available for immediate shipping _ THAT WAS NOT THE CASE, ORDER WAS PLACED EARLY FEB AND RECEIVED ON 18th of MARCH
2- Once I was informed me the dress was not available and I asked for a refund missesdressy offered to send me the dress directly to Australia in order to avoid further delays (email copy below)- Dress was shipped to an USA address instead and ended up costing me an extra $66 !
3- Sizing is not accurrate and even though I have sent two emails asking for confirmation on sizing and both were answered as this:
Hello,
The size is the same as the one showed on the dress' chart.
This information (size chart) came from the designer, so it should be accurate.

I have even requested that before the item was shipped if someone could actually physically confirm the size was accurate and I was once again told it was. Unfortunately yet again that didn’t not seem the case, the size 14 states to have a 34" waist when in reality the dress has a 36" waist...so in order to fix the dress it will cost me $200 making this dress cost me $266 above the price paid as a result of your misleading information.
Based on this and the numerous times I have called and given the false promise that someone would call me back to resolve exchange this dress, I have given up cause I now believe this to be a dishonest seller> STAY AWAY IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE DISAPPOINTED

Purchased dress online on 2-8-16. Called first and talked to a person to ask questions. I gave her item number and she never said it was a "special order". I told her the size I needed and she stated there was only 1 of that size in stock. I was instructed to go online to order. I got the dress today 2-26-16. The dress is a very small size 10 (my daughter usually wears between a 6 and 8). Called about returning the dress. No refunds or returns for "Special orders" (it is a evening/prom dress for god sake- that what they sell). I told her I did not order as special order. She gave me multiple excuses and lies. She then stated that once you purchase, your receipt states it is a special order. So the consumer does not know this until the money online is processed. I am not sure how they can take money both nationwide and internationally and the New York state Attorney General has not investigated.

Misses Dressy No Refunds & Poor Customer Service

MissesDressy has very poor customer service and business practices. The fact that a return must be within 3 days of receipt when it took nearly 3 weeks to be delivered to me and there is no full refund, only store credit or exchage; in this day and age, is OUTRAGEOUS! I will never shop at MissesDressy again. There are too many more reputable and honest businesses out there I'd much reather deal with.

WARNING!: Do not buy a dress from these people, I ordered a dress, they sent me the wrong one and so I had to post it back to them from Australia ($70). Two months on and they still haven't reimbursed me! They never return email or phone calls and whenever I call to speak to management, they are mysteriously never available.

Misses Dressy You will be disappointed if you do business through missesdressy.com like I was

The website missesdressy.com needs to be avoided at all costs ! After waiting way too long for my dress to be shipped, I had come to the conclusion that I wasn't going to receive my dress any-time soon so I decided it would be best to cancel the whole thing altogether ! (given the bad reviews) Before doing this, I recieved a call that woke me up at some ridiculous hour of the morning, from what seemed to be someone with an asian accent who could hardly speak a word of English demanding more money for postage that my family already paid so It could be shipped ! They seemed to know enough about my dress, but they did not give a name; and when I asked where they were located they hung up on me. Another family member got onto calling the company again soon after for me, and they were talking to Americans once again. We explained the phone call and missesdressy told us they had no record of anyone calling. We told them the whole situation was odd and that we would prefer to cancel. Missesdressy told us that was not possible and gave us another arrival date for my dress. After this incident and their slip up through the phone call, I am convinced they are doing a cheap remake through an Asian company of the designer dresses; certainly not authentic as they claim, which is very disappointing for me. I know this because I had previously done business through a similar but popular american site for my débutante ball dress and they were fantastic - my dress had arrived just 4 days later from order, earlier than what was promised by the company. You will be disappointed if you do business through missesdressy.com like I was, especially if you have a tight approaching deadline. Don't waste your time paying additional money to them to get it shipped asap, it is a waste of money in my opinion. Thanks to them, I am now down $400 and still no dress, I am being forced to fork out an additional $800 dollars for a designer dress I have ordered elsewhere from a boutique within my country. You would be better off buying locally or doing your homework first on the site you are interested in doing business with, if they are popular on Facebook and have received positive feedback by customers it is also a good indication so I have learned ( : I just wish I hadn't rushed into my dress purchase with them.

I am very unhappy and upset with the shopping experience I have encountered with them too and found it very difficult to communicate with their agents who don't always reply to email queries. I live outside of the US so contact by telephone is difficult with ime diferences and IDD costs. I have shopped with other companies before like New York Dress.com and I have never had any problems like this before. I know they have re-vamped their website which is great but they really need to update their customer service to proper standard. It's really out of order Please DONT SHOP WITH THEM.

I specifically asked to cancel an item on my order to which they agreed to and then refund me. This was months ago. Now I realise the order was not cancelled, my money was never refunded and they have had the item specially made and shipped to me. Now they expect me to ship it back to them at my own expense and pay the restocking fee - WHEN IT WAS TOTALLY THEIR FAULT for getting the order wrong in the 1st place and when they SHOULD HAVE CANCELLED THE ITEM AND REFUNDED ME as I asked months ago. But they DIDNT even though they sent me an email saying they would. I am very upset. I have email proof confirming that they ahd agreed to cancel the order and refund me. But once they have your money - it seems they will NOT return it to you!

Misses Dressy 1000$ was transferred to them and nothing happened

Before you buy the dress you want, u can chat live with someone to tell you if the dress is available or not.. after asking them, they said the two dresses were available.. so, we ordered the dresses and they took the credit card number.. after a while they send an email that the dresses are not available.. so i ask to cancel the order, BUT they kept the funds on hold.. and we kept asking them to remove the hold before the money is transferred but they never did.. all they did was saying tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow... but nothing happened and 1000$ was transferred to them! so i turned to my bank and now i'm still waiting .. its been probably 2 months now they were the worst ever, all they cared about was money and they were quick to take it.. and by the way, after 2 days of the email they sent saying that the dresses weren't available, i asked the person you chat with about the dresses and she said it's there, we have it! they haven't removed it from the system... so unprofessional

i don't recommend this site at all.. they are thieves.

I went to the website it says the dress is available I go on their live chat they assure me yes they have it in stock in inventory BEWARE they actually DO NOT have inventory as they say on their site ! I get an email several days later after the shipping time that is has not only not shipped but they cannot even get the dress! They won’t refund my money! Obviously I would never order anything from them again I just want my money back they won’t do it. I hold for almost an hour to get disconnected.

To top it all off if you go to the website they still show the very same dress available ready to ship with in 5 days go on chat and ask them same thing their agents will tell you the dress is available to ship!

WARNING DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

I got sent a dress that was the wrong size. It had the manufacturers size on it, which was NOT the size I ordered, then someone put another label with a different size next to that label. I have many dresses from this brand in my size, which I know is small, and I also know what the manufacturers size label looks like. So they sent me a medium and they labeled it a small. When I emailed them to ask for the correct size, they informed me of their return policy of $40 "shipping" for the first dress and additional fees for additional dresses. they also only gave me 3 days from date of receipt to return the dress and it was a holiday weekend! I emailed them back expressing my dissatisfaction and got no further response.

this company has terrible customer service and ridiculous return polices, especially when in this case it was their mistake! I will never use this site again

HORRIBLE TERRIBLE and every other single bad word that I can say about it! Their site is terrible to use, there is absolutely no way to see what color is what. They advertise dresses that are not even available for sale anywhere anymore. Don't even get me started on the customer service. First off the wait time is terrible, usually around 30 minutes before you can even talk to a real person. Once you actually get the person on the phone, they are typically extremely unhelpful. They do not offer any solutions to problems, they just restate the exact same thing over and over again. Their return policy is horrible, and they offer no way for you to fix a mistake. I was screwed out of over $200 because of this site. Save yourself some money, and some trouble and STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE!

This site is absolute BS! I ordered a dress and it was so late and on top of that I got a 60 dollar duty fee which they said would be free. Also, my dress was a size too small and I was devastated, because it was for my prom. So I wanted to ship it back and get a new size but it would have costs 80 dollars to ship to get a new size, 80 dollars to ship back and another 60 dollar duty fee. This site is awful, the dresses are horrible quality and don't look at all like the picture, the people are rude over the phone and they try and scam you for whatever money you have. $#*!ing awful.

I ordered a dress in july, later after paying $628.00 for the dress I was told it was unavailable. When I contacted the live chat person (which is the only was to speak to someone) I was told that it wasn't their problem (really rudely) and that I should contact my own bank, which is crazy because they owe me money not my bank. I paid through paypal, and paypal have told me that they can't help me! I am extremely upset as this was for my daughters prom and I am not a rich person. I would never normally pay that much for a dress but it is a really special time for my daughter and I thought I would be safe paying through paypal. DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM MISSESDRESSY.COM they are a rip off! Do not trust them.

Absolutely horrendous-stay very far away. I have had close to $1000 'taken' from me with absolutely nothing to show for it. I ordered over two months ago and did not receive the dresses ordered in time for their intended purpose. I ordered from the ships immediately section, but unfortunately their definition of immediately is close to 60 days later. I attempted to cancel this order two days after placing my order, before they placed the order with the company for the dresses, but no one would respond to me. Instead, once I finally got someone to respond to me through the better business bureau, they have refused to refund my money and want to charge me about 25% of the total cost to cancel the order. Please stay away from this website. Their web content is egregiously misleading and they are not a company that consumer's need to keep in business.

After posting about a positive purchase, my second purchase has been a disaster, spoke to " Live Chat " about a dress and I got a reply that the dress was available by my wear by date which was 14 days later, ordered the dress, they took the money from my Paypal account and then I was told " This is a special order and will take take at least 8 working weeks for completion and then dispatch time, when I questioned that their website did not state a Special Order " they have not replied, avoid this site.

My daughter ordered a dress from this company. The dress did not fit and we did not like the quality. We did live chat and requested a refund. We were told a refund was possible but we had to call and talk to a manager and it could take up to 30 days depending on our financial institution. We talked to Ana and she would not approve a refund at said to call on Monday. I emailed the company and got a reply from Rellin who also said no and advised me they would be charging me $40 for the return. What a complete scam and ripoff! My daughter has learned a valuable lesson. This company is out for the buck. They seem to be some sort of foreigners and if you research their company you will find hundreds of dissatisfied people! Wish they would go back to their country...we don't need them here! SCAMMERS! BUYER BEWARE! READ CAREFULLY!

Misses Dressy Take the money and do not deliver

in July I ordered a dress and a few days later my credit card was charged. After a week I received a call from Missesdressy customer service which said that particular dress is not available, so I can choose something else or get a refund. I chose the refund. For over two months I was trying to get my money back. They used all possible excuses... After realizing I will never see my money again, I chose a replacement dress. They said they will have it in stock by October 10 and ship it to me. Now, on October 13 I still do not know when can I expect my dress and no-one is answering my mails. Do not shop here!

Brides AVOID! please avoid this company at all cost. I was sent 5 bridesmaid dresses, 4 of which were too small...I don't mean an inch or two I mean 2-3 dress sizes... My bridesmaids referred to the size chart on the website and ordered sizes true to that. Bridesmaid A is a UK size 10, one of the 10's fit her perfectly...the other could not zip up at all it was that small at the back. I have asked to speak to the manager 12 TIMES! and still they have never spoken to me on the phone. Please read the small print...which completely breaches consumers rights!

A seamstress advised it was a huge task to fix and told me Missessdressy had got their sizing wrong...Missesdressy wouldn't offer any money towards the alterations or a refund...claiming they were special order, they were NOT, then asked that I send pics of the dressy not fitting - which I did their response " you bridesmaids don't look like size 10's (even though I ordered size 18 and 20 also) you have measured them wrong its your fault. They did not apologise or even refer to the fact this this must be hugely stressful 3 months before my wedding date.

The tags on the dress said that they could be returned if not removed. They cost £560 which they are claiming I will not get back..I have had to buy 5 new bridesmaid dresses from elsewhere - All fit perfect and all apparently the same size as Missesdressy...please do not buy bridesmaid dresses here! they will threaten to ruin your big day scandalous...

I am living in Singapore and have 500 expats wanting to know how my dress order will go so that other expat women were going to order their ball dresses as well. My order number is 1239259. I paid for my dress and revieved it but it was too big, a 12 and I needed a 10. I sent it back within the 3 days (paying $100 for UPS express delivery). It was received straight away and now nothing? It says on the website that a size 10 is available and ships straight away. I don't want a refund- I just want my size 10. I have spent weeks and weeks calling, emailing and live chat every day. NOTHING. They said they will let me know when one is available? Weeks go past and nothing. It really is terrible customer service. I am at the point of investigating all the consumer agencies in the USA and reportin the company. I wish I had read the blogs before I ordered. $400 US dollars wasted and the silly company has now lost a potential 500 other orders. 500 x $300 USD?! $150000 they have lost! Does this company know how much poor customer service damages them with potential sales?Jacqueline in Singapore.

Beware of this company they have horrible return policy, they don't refund, exchange or cancel your order. They are scamers they don;t have good inventory and they will proceed with your order even if you have indicated your wear date and will not reach in time for your wear date. They are owned by Kohen family . Yomi, Meital and Isaac Kohen. They are not pure Americans. I think they are turkish.

We all need to keep spreading the word about this horrible company! They are not sorry at all...they are scammers! File a complaint with the BBB and go to the following sites to post more negative reviews!

This place is nothing but scam rip-off mill = and ruined my daughter's prom because of it. Spread the word! Yesterday I infected every single comment space on their Face Book page, and I suggest everyone does the same!b These are thieves - common criminals. Make sure you report them to every New York state consumer service you can.

We had the same problem. I am contacting our state attorney's consumer complaints dept to fill out a form for them to pursue action against them. You should do the same. Also, contact the dress designer and let them know they should not let them sell their dresses. Use Facebook to spread the word, too. We need to put them out of business!

I was told they would not exchange a gown because it took me over three days to get it back to them. They then sent it to the wrong address and blamed me for giving them a wrong address, even though they had the right address on file. After spending over 1, 000 dollars I had no dress for the event, and then what I do have is two sizes too small (is this even the correct gown I wonder?) Their paperwork is confusing and vague, and they call the customer wrong at every step. I would have been willing to pay an exchange fee just to get a gown I can wear. What I have is too small, and cannot be tailored larger. What a joke. For this kind of money don't go here for anything. I would like to see just ONE person say they have been able to get resolution to their issues by contacting the number listed above. The idiotic paroting of "MissesDressy.com continually stives to improve is a load of crap.

i ordered a dress from them on oct 28th 2011. I looked at a few dress's before i purchased this one and some of them said special order only which i read had to be made and could take upto 6 weeks so i avoided those dresses. When i ordered my dress it was stated down the bottom that this dress is usually shipped within 5-7 working days. I then paid extra for postage so that it would arrive in 2-5 days as i needed it for the 4th december and i needed to take it to a taylor. 2 weeks later after i emailed them over and over asking where my dress was, i recieve a relaxed email saying that my dress was a special order dress and has been ordered from the designer and would arrive early december. I NEARLY DIED. I put my wear date on the order form and everything and they just charged my credit card and went ahead with the order knowing full well i wouldnt recieve it on time. I then sent an email back stating that i put my wear date down and i wanted to exchange the dress for another that they have IN STOCK and no reply. I then had to wake up at 3 am australian time to call them in new york only to get put on hold for 20 mins and had to call back.I then spoke to a women who said that it was fine to choose another dress but they would have to charge me a $50 change over fee, the second dress i chose was in stock but two sizes too big and $200 more then the other dress but i was getting stressed and needed a dress so i just said charge the extra to my credit card and ship it asap. So in the end I have ordered a dress that was my second choice for an extremely special occasion which cost me $1200 that is two sizes two big and has taken over 3 weeks to be delivered and is still on its way. I wrote a massive complaint to the customer service center and demanded i recieve a refund of the $50 i was charged for a "change over fee" that was not stated in there terms and conditions and got and apologie for my confusion and told they would credit it back to my card, which i am yet to see. WORSE COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY LIFE!

Misses Dressy No customer service at all, would not recommend in the least

Website states gown available in sizes up to 24. The website also stated that they had a friendly return policy. However first gown shows up and is two sizes smaller than marked. So I call on the second day to ask for a bigger gown and get instructions on what to do. Was told that the dress only went to a size 20, but they would check on it. Several days later I reached the person and was told that 20 was the biggest, however could mail it back and get a store credit. I was on a business trip at the time, so when I got home I airmailed the gown back, asking for the largest size in that gown. The return shipping cost of $50. Then after several weeks I call to find out what happened, as the gown was not available for the big event. I was told at that time that I violated the 3 day return policy, so no exchange for me. They are shipping the too small gown back to me, at my expense. So, in addition to having the wrong sizes available listed, and after several phone calls to Jasmine and Angel and neither of them telling me that I was under a deadline to return, and after missing the big event, now they tell me I am out of luck and stuck with the wrong size item. Please remember this is a $990 couture gown. Good luck getting the sizing right off the net, you'll be stuck with whatever they send. This store has return/exchange complaints posted elsewhere. I would strongly recommend spending your $$$$$ at home where a merchant would love to see this kind of cash walk in through the door, and you can verify color and fit. They need to have correct sizes available listed from the beginning, correct size charts, and if there is a restrictive return policy they need to let people know this. Basically I am out over a $1000 and doubt any tailor can make this right. Certainly MissesDressy isn't going out of their way at all to make this right. It's not as if I want a lot from them...only the same dress I bought for a family member at a great expense in the correct size. Is that asking too much. How are people supposed to buy these items off the net without being asked to return them within 3 days. What am I supposed to do, overnight airmail it back the day it shows up at the post office? No customer service at all, would NOT recommend in the least. BUYER BEWARE.

Please avoid this [censored] company scam they sell dresses online which they don't have in stock to offer you a store credit to buy from them. The good thing never let them steel your money your bank can help you getting your money back from those thefts
