We have been let down severly on two occasions when we could have used another newspaper. Miss AVA Dubai 2009 is being held in aid of animal welfare. Photographer took pictures and the reporter said he needed to arrange for a little dog we have (who has no eyes at all) to be photographed as this was going to be the follow-up to the report. Photographs were taken of this dog (special arrangements had to be made to do this as it was an urgent request!)
THEY NEVER PUT THE PICTURES IN AND THEY MADE MISTAKES IN THE REPORT. The second occasion again for Miss AVA Dubai 2009 we held auditions to find a singer to sing at the event in October. Again photographer covers the WHOLE day, we give our report a couple of days later, the winner gets interviewed then we are told THIS ARTICLE HAS BEEN DROPPED. What kind of staff are working at Khaleej Times to mess people around like this? To add to the annoyance no-one even told us what was happening they just DO WHAT THEY WANT. We have lost a lot of publicity for our event because of this and the event is all in aid of animal welfare and taken a year to get off the ground. We would appreciate an explanation to this appalling standard of reporting in what we believed was a very reputable newspaper. Thank you

I am Sarita's sister Janice Shaw and we are both working on this very special event in aid of animal welfare Miss AVA Dubai 2009. I cannot believe the way we have been let down by Khaleej Times on these two occasions. We could have easily gone with numerous others who were interested in our serious cause for animals in the UAE but we went with Khaleej Times because we believed them to be reputable. I also cannot believe that you have staff that cannot even inform clients like ourselves when a report is no longer going to be published. The little dog Ringo gets very nervous in front of a camera as she is totally blind (she was born with no eyes at all). Your paper wanted to take photos of her, which we allowed and then YOU NEVER USED THEM.

Total waste of your photographer on 14 August for the AVA Dubai auditions as the report was Never published. Again another total waste of our time.

We lost a lot of publicity on these two occasions for a cause we are desperately concerned about - Animal Welfare in the UAE.

Thank you
