Miracle Method Tile resurfacing

Resurfaced 2 tubs and tile in 3 bathrooms in July 2021. After about one year cracking and peeling problems arose. Franchisee came out and fixed. A few months later more and bigger problems with peeling. Again, franchisee came and fixed. Much larger problems with peeling and bubbling appeared in Dec. 2022. Franchisee was notified and appointment was made to address this continuing problem. Franchisee never showed and was unresponsive to calls and emails. After complaining to Miracle Method in Colorado, franchisee finally responded. Owner came out in April 2023, looked at problem, acknowledged the obvious, and left. To date have neither seen nor heard from franchisee.

Desired outcome: Full refund

Miracle Method The franchise should backup the work that has been done with their name.

I had two bathrooms done with miracle method in McAllen, TX they offered a 5 year warranty, now they are closed and both of my bathrooms are peeling and cracking. The cooporate office says they are not responsible if the franchise that did the work is closed there is nobody that can come and fix it. It is unbelievable that a franchise cannot back up their warranty.

Miracle Method Warranty work needed

April 2021 we had our kitchen countertops and shower refinished by Miracle Method of Pueblo. Technicians Russ and Lou did the work. We have a crack in the kitchen countertop and a chip in the soap dish in the shower. Miracle Method has a five-year warranty on all work.

We have called Miracle Method of Pueblo to arrange for warranty work and the phone number on our work order - [protected] - takes us to someone who says the franchise that did our work is out of business. Hmmmm. So that means we are out of luck on getting warranty work done? I thought not so I called the corporate office at [protected]. I spoke with a rep on June 24 and she told me she would try to track down the Miracle Method office that can do our warranty work. She never called me back. I called back on July 5. I was told abruptly and definitively that we were out of luck - too bad, your franchise operator is out of business, you are on your own.

I'm confident this is not the case. We had work done by a Miracle Method franchise, having carefully researched the Miracle Method process. Nothing on our work order indicates if Russ and Lou leave Miracle Method we are on our own.

I am writing to ask how we can arrange for this warranty work to be done. We have a crack in the kitchen countertop that is collecting water and debris. It needs to be sealed. We look forward to hearing from you and to scheduling a Miracle Method professional to come to our home and repair this Miracle Method error under the Miracle Method warranty.

Desired outcome: Miracle Method must honor the warranty on Miracle Method work. We want our repairs completed at no charge.

Miracle Method Countertops

I had my kitchen and bathroom countertops done last August 2021 by Miracle Method. By April 2022 I had stains on the kitchen countertops in 3 different places. Stains are NOT covered under warranty. They wanted additional charges to come out and redo those areas. Beware of this!

Miracle Method Tub refinishing peeling and cracking. Company not honoring warranty to repair.

I had work done by the Miracle Method of San Diego office/Mira Mesa(SD), CA to refurbish my bathtub on January 18th of 2021.

About 11 months later we noticed the bathtub adhesive peeling off of the tub and walls.

According to our invoice, we are covered under warranty for 5 years, with a limited warranty for 1 year. I sent the business an email on January 12th of 2022 for which they didn't respond. Later I called the Miracle Method Corporate office in Colorado Springs, CO in January and talked to their representatives. They told me that my local San Diego, Ca Miracle Method location is now closed. I let them know I felt they were responsible and liable as they provided the training, supplies, and business plan for the San Diego,Ca Miracle Method. The representative stated "Thats not how it works" and hung up without resolving my complaint. A few weeks ago I launched a Better Business Bureau(BBB) complaint against the Miracle Method corporate office, since my SD location was closed. The corporate office once again tried to say they were not liable. I rejected their stance in the BBB website portal for my complaint and the issue is still not resolved presently.

As an update, out of nowhere, and likely as a result of my BBB complaint the SD business owner reached out about my warranty complaint email(2 months later!). They asked for pictures of the damage, for which I sent back to them promptly. They are now creating subjective scenarios and reasons for the damage in an attempt to NOT honor their warranty.

I need this company to do the right thing! and stand behind their products and services.

Desired outcome: Repair and refinish bathtub (again) or refund me so I can have the work done by skilled professionals from a reputable company.

Miracle Method Business Ethics of Miracle Method

Rather than replace my bathtub, I contacted Miracle Method. A representative came down to my house, and was very pushy, insisting on half down before I could make an appointment, but I said I wanted to wait. I then read several negative reviews on several websites about this business. I contacted Miracle Method about these complaints before I would make a definite appointment, or put any money down. Was told by Miracle Method if I had negative feelings about their company, they were hesitant to do the job for me. I told them to cancel my tentative appointment, and that I would not be using them. If they feel I was negative asking questions, then what about all those people who wrote those negative reviews. I think that says it all about the ethics of Miracle Method, so am glad that I did not hire them.

Miracle Method Restoration of Bathrooms

In June 2021, Miracle Method restored two bathrooms in my home. One hallway bath and one master bath. They should have restored the sinks, countertops, surround for guest bath, and both bathtubs. My surround for my tiled master bathroom was painted in error by the technician. To rectify this, they agreed to cover the cost to get the tile replaced. I called and let them know that we did not have enough left over tile to complete this. I was told that the owner would be informed and let me know what he would like to do.

At this point, we had moved into the home. Within one week, the countertops were peeling in both bathrooms. Now the master bath and guestroom surround are also peeling. The service has a 5 year warranty. I was scheduled for a technician to come out on 3 occasions and they did not show up each time. I called and left messages to which again I was not contacted. I finally called the corporate office who connected me with the local office. The local office told me that he would not schedule another technician to come out and that I needed to speak with the owner. The owner acted as though he had never heard of this. He also did not schedule a technician nor did he repair the tilework. He will no longer answer his phone and said that he will file bankruptcy in a week. I asked the corporate office if they could send a technician from another office to fix the work to which I was told that they would not and that I must work with that office or that I can pursue legal action. There's been a lot of runaround and we just want our home repaired.

Desired outcome: Work repaired and tile replaced by company.

Miracle Method Shoddy workmanship and failure to honor warranty

This company glazed the shower surround, tile floor and bathtub in my bathroom. We could not inspect work when finished because the glaze had not dried so we paid the quoted price with the thought that we had a 5 year warranty and work would be corrected if needed.
The project was done in August 2019. The glaze on the tub and soap dish is now coming off in big chunks. The glaze on the floor is coming up on the grout lines. The tile floors has high and low areas where the sealer was not sprayed evenly.
I have contacted the business owner by phone 3 times and have been put off 3 times. Promises to fix work made but never shows up to correct shoddy work. I have asked for a refund for the glazing on the tub. We will fix the floor but want a refund for the tub so we can get a more reputable company to fix it.

Desired outcome: refund of $600 for glazing tub

Miracle Method kitchen and bathroom cabinets

Quote #: Q148757
Date of Project: August 2019

I had Miracle Method of Roseville/Fridley to refinish my kitchen and bathroom cabinets. I chose the color white for the cabinets. As the technician was working, I noticed many mistakes, bubbles, crooked drawers, and uneven seams. I asked if these issues would be repaired and I was assured by the owner, Justin Jurek, that I would be 100% satisfied when the project was complete. I went to the show room to look at cabinets and what is shown there is not at all what my kitchen looks like. I tried to talk to the technician and owner throughout this project but I didn't get very far with them, I was told over and over again that I would be satisfied when the project was complete.

On the last day of the project, the owner stood in my kitchen and demanded that I pay the remainder of the bill even though the project was not yet complete and he had no plans to have the many issues repaired. How is this ok? A customer should not be expected to pay a bill for a service that is done incorrectly and is incomplete.

My issues with the kitchen and bathroom cabinets: crooked bathroom drawer, many uneven seams, areas that were sanded too much and are now uneven, handles and pulls were not installed.

The owner and sales manager then came to my door and demanded I pay the rest of the bill. I paid a portion of the bill because I felt bullied and because I wanted this ordeal to be done with. I do not want to deal with this company anymore, but it is not right that I had to pay for work that was done sloppy and not completed.

Payment details: Total bill $4750
I paid total of: $3875

I refused to pay the remaining $875 because my kitchen and bathroom cabinets are not complete and there are still many errors and mistakes that need to be repaired, as well as handles and pulls installed.

My neighbor was here for some of our meetings and she can vouch that the information I am sharing is correct.

Desired Resolution: I would like a refund of $500-1000 so I am able to hire another contractor to make the repairs and complete this project.
I tried to forget about this whole thing but it really bothers me that I paid as much as I did and now have to hire someone else to fix it.

If this complaint is sent to Justin Jurek and his franchise, they will insist that they tried to work with me to solve the problems. They did at first, but they acted like they didn't see the sloppy work and issues in my kitchen and bathroom. They must think that its ok to have a crooked drawer like in the picture below.

If necessary I will report this company to the BBB, the Attorney General's office in MN, and the Department of Consumer Affairs Contractors State License Board.

I would like a response from the Corporate office.

Thank-you,
Meghan Scheidel

Miracle Method damage to wood floors by miracle method; complete lack of proactive customer service to fix the problem

First, after resurfacing our bathroom, they re-installed our bathtub knobs backwards. The hot is on the cold and the cold is on the hot. There is a small area that still needs to get touched up. We have still not gotten any replies for when they will be able to fix this.

Secondly, and our largest complaint, the chemicals ruined the polyurethane on our wood floors all the way from our bathroom, hallway, through to our front door. We were there when the worker was picking up his drop cloths, and underneath all of the floors were bubbled and had chemical burns.

We have had the boss try to say that our floor had a preexisting condition. We've had 2 wood flooring specialists come out, both of which have been shocked at the chemical stripping of our floors. The boss continues to nickel and dime the problem, not providing any solutions, but continuing to just find lower quotes on patch jobs.

The job in the bathroom is not finished. The bill for the flooring needs to be fixed by the company that damaged it, and it needs to be done RIGHT. Not by some lowball offer handyman who doesn't have a reputable refinishing business. We have to board our dog during the refinishing of the wood floors and we cannot live in the house because it's blocking the only bathroom.

The solution is to dissolve our bill. The expense of the flooring, hotel bill, dog boarding, and disregard for our time and headache is the amount that we would have paid for the bathroom resurfacing, had it been done correctly.

Miracle Method peeling, cracking, chipping - warranty fight

The company material online speaks to their product promise being "incredible durability" & that their product extends the life of the consumers surface by an additional 10-15 years. They further state that they Stand behind a solid Warranty and that any "Peeling / flaking and delaminate are indications of Poor Workmanship or an inferior adhesion and will leave the consumer with a bigger mess than when we started." Go to "Miracle Methods Kitchen & Bath Surface Refinishing Guide" under Miracle Method.com.

If what MM promises across the country is the norm, we are clearly the exception as a customer with documented areas of product / workmanship defects - breaking down after less than 24 months (all within the warranty period). We have over 80 pictures, documentation to support the progress and problems over the past two years. I have included 2 pics we are limited to uploading to support the extent of the concern;

Greg has had to redo several areas of the initial job himself. 4/2016 - he had to redo the master bath sinks due to a poor finishing job. 5/2016 he redid several countertops that did not cure properly - causing a large area to bubble up and leave a lumpy / non-smooth countertop visibly defective. Despite fixing the defect, they left an uneven top coat spray finish - clearly visibly shinny in sections of the redone surface and this last go around, he simply responded that we must have "uneven countertop surfaces" causing the waving effect in the shine / dull appearance and refused to take any ownership in the workmanship. They also had to redo a counter where the top coat clouded up in an area about the size of a plate. Greg indicated was a result of using a drying mat for dishes next to the sink - all that occured within days of being cleared to use the surface for normal use.

As of this initial BBB complaint filed 7/10/18 - 7 additional new areas of peeling and chipping has developed over the past several months in the bathrooms and kitchen. - even more alarming, as of 8/12/18, the date of this response - we have documented an additional "5 AREAS" breaking down now totalling 12. So we know other areas of breakdown are going to continue to develop in the months / years to come - and we can no longer rely on the durability of the product standing up to it's promise, the workmanship of the Boise Franchise or the companies warranty coverage we invested in.

Greg was hostile in our home back in 2016, demanding payment before the 48 hour curing process had been completed for us to inspect the final job. He continues to make us feel uncomfortable having him in our home as he continues to use intimidating assertive bullying and accusations to avert any responsibility to issues we have pointed out. He is quick to remind us on many occasions, the financial impact our call backs to him has on his pocket book and that our job has cost him too much money. He indicated "this is why he never likes to do a job the size of ours, as there are more things to go wrong" - which we now understand why he made that comment. Ironically, at the onset of his sales pitch to us back in 2016, he was very negative and derogatory about another Boise MM franchise's poor workmanship who was his competitor at the time we had previously talked to, that Greg discouraged anyone using or face breakdown in the product - due to the many customer job failures he was being called to redo & repair as a result. Yet, all of those issues he told us about, we are dealing with the exact same issues from his workmanship - today.

Greg's continued disgruntledness towards us having to return due to ongoing problems - is apparent in the erroneous response he filed with the BBB. Greg has no basis or proof to substantiate his allegations that we are to blame for any of the product defects breaking down. We wonder how many other consumers Greg's assertiveness and intimidating accusations, stiffles other helpless customers leaving them feeling they have no leg to stand on. This is wrong.

Of interest - We have since found several sites online where consumer reviews & found complaints that spoke to similar situations we were dealing with from across the country: viewpoint.com or complaintsboard.com are two we researched. Enter Miracle Method to find all reviews.

Whether the product defect is due to lack of workmanship or the product itself failing, we can no longer trust the product stands up to its promise or the company is going to resolve the excessive issues. We also can no longer subject ourselves to further business dealings with Greg Meier or Miracle Method local franchise due to his unpredictable temperament. We have no choice than to remove and replace all the work performed by MM, at a cost in excess of $25, 000.00 + for replacing the bathtub, 3 sinks, tile in the shower, and kitchen countertops due to the growing issue and lack consumer protection and Warranty honoring. We stand on our demand for 100% of the return of our investment we paid to MM in the amount of $7, 870.00.

We have a Formal Complaint filed with the Boise Better Business Bureau and pursuing an Attorney General Complaint the BBB recommended we do.

If any other consumers are or have experienced any of the same or similar please comment.

Miracle Method damaged kitchen sink

My name is Kristen Hale and I'm with Kent Shaffer Homes. We have a home we are building for the client and where scheduled on Monday from 1-3:00 to meet someone at the clients home to fix a few marks on their kitchen sink. I received a call from Miracle Method stating that the tech that was supposed to meet me was on another job that is taking longer than expected and will need to reschedule for the next day at 1:00. We went ahead and schedule for Tuesday at 1:00. On Tuesday I called Miracle Method around 1:30 and mentioned that no one had shown up. The lady on the phone said she would call the tech and see what time he would be there. I received a call back around 2:00 with the tech stating that he was on a job and it was taking longer than expected and they would have to reschedule. I mentioned that this was now two days in a row that I have shown up and it was canceled. I told her that we are closing on the house on 8/3/18 and need to get it done before we close. She them mentioned that the earliest they could schedule for is 8/18/18. I told her that we couldn't wait that long and she repeated again that the earliest they could come would be 8/18/18. I then asked to speak to a manager and she put me on hold. Once we came back on the phone she said that the manager was not in and she would have him give me a call. I said that would work and asked if I would receive a call back today. She then told me that she does not do his schedule and is not sure when he will be back in the office. I have still not received a call from a manager. Now our clients are upset because it is not done and want us to take the granite countertops off and replace the sink with a new one. I know that I would not be in business if I ran mine like this.

Miracle Method continuation from initial complaint

I pointed out to the rep that the peeling was not even in the same spot where there was slight movement under the shower floor but he still insisted it was not covered by their warranty since he could bounce up and down on the floor of the shower. The shower floor is not fiberglass and it will give slightly which was the same when the finish was initially done. Moving along to the master bath sink where the lip of the drain was rusted. The rep used the flash light on his phone and looked under the counter of the sink and told me that the pipe was rusted and the rust was coming up from the pipe. What a joke when it was rusted the first time they did it. Again he said it was not covered under their warranty. With that being said, I instructed him to get out of my house and don't bother looking at the sink in the third bathroom because I was sure he would say that was our fault as well and not covered by warranty. He continued to give me the ifs and buts still stating items were not covered by warranty. My husband heard me yelling telling him to just get out because I didn't want to hear anything else he had to say and my husband came in the room and told him to leave as well. There is no way that I would ever recommend them to anyone ever. I had initially informed our realtor that the bathroom would be repaired prior to the sell of our home since it was still under warranty. So on that note, I hope that the buyer will not want these items repaired prior to the sell because if they do, I'd rather replace the items than to fool with another company after being burnt by Miracle Method. I could not have been any more careful with cleaning and taking care of the refinished items but that didn't pay off.
All I can say is BEWARE because this company will probably come up with a million and one reasons why your discrepancy is not covered under their warranty. We were truly taken advantage of and I know that God will take care of those that use others.

Miracle Method Kitchen sink peeling after 2 months

Paid several hundred dollars for kitchen sink to be refinished by Miracle Method. After 2 months, the finish is peeling. I called the company and they offered to send a technician out next week to assess the problem and after the assessment they will schedule the work to be repaired if necessary. I let them know that our house is for sale and a showing a peeling sink to potential buyers could cost us an offer on our house. They said they could not come out any sooner and that was their procedure. I could take it or leave it. I am highly dissatisfied with their customer service and would not recommend this business to anyone.

Miracle Method Return phone call

I have been calling this place to get an estimate and ask some questions about repairing countertops and my bathtub. I have called no less than 5 times and not one single call returned. It appears that they are still in business (how I don't know if you don't call a potential customer back?). For real! I made sure to leave my messages with clear name and return phone number and said to call back anytime!

Miracle Method rude/obscene behavior by employee

8/9/16, employee driving a marked Method Miracle sedan in Elk Grove, CA, cut off my vehicle in traffic causing me to brake abruptly, no signal for a lane change or anything else. We pulled off at the same off ramp and as I was passing him he 'flipped' me off. I did NOT use any obscene or discourteous gestures towards this employee before or after this incident.

Miracle Method Poor Quality work and damage done

Had Miracle Method do my kitchen counter top. And the counter top was nothing like what I looked at and felt in the showroom. I now have to have someone come and strip the wall paper and re-paper or paint. All because masking tape instead of painters tape was used! For the cost of the counter top and this damage, I could have had granite. I have stopped in twice at the Frederick, MD location to complain, being assured Ryan the owner would be told and call me. Haven't heard from him. They did send another person to look at the counter top and his words were "I'm embarrassed, this is not our work". But he implied the wallpaper damage is possible. Really? You use masking tape on wallpaper and you think this is ok? They did re-do the counter top. And...It's just ok...even if I loved it I couldn't recommend them due to the massive destruction to my wallpaper. I'm assuming the destruction of my wallpaper (and it's massive large tears, not tiny little glue it back down tears) fall under the waiver I signed, yet they are not held accountable for poor workmanship. I could not recommend Miracle Method of the Tri-State area. This owner needs to learn about the importance of a courtesy call to a dissatisfied customer. It's called customer service and in this case the lack of... I'll be doing a free advertising flier for them complete with photos.
