MIO GPS / Quality/Warranty

I bought a MIO GPS which I had owned only five months when the screen cracked. I had programmed a destination in the GPS one evening and then lef it in my car overnight . The next morning when I pressed on the screen to activate it the screen cracked. Apparently the screen became brittle overnight from the cold. I continued to press on the screen thinking it might activate regardless of the damage but the screen cracked even further. As expected, MIO declined to honor the warranty claiming the damage was due to mishandling. I would simply warn anyone interested in buying a GPS to avoid MIO. Their products are obviously inferior and their warranty is of little value.
