Mio 268 / Customer service

1 New South Wales, Australia Review updated:

I had bought a Mio 268 from Domayne i had it for approx 2 months and it kept freezing and going off course, i took it back and they sent it away. 7 weeks later i recieved it back only to still have the same fault, So i went back to Domayne and they sent it back again. This time i didnt get it back until 8 weeks later, i had been using it for approx 3 weeks for the fault to happen again. I went back to domayne and told them i want it replaceds as i need it for work, The staff their said they will send it back and get them to sort it out. 5 weeks later i recieved a phone call stating they have replaced it with a new one, i went down to the store to be shocked when the staff handed me the navigation as it was a Refurbished unit it had scratches on the screen and all over the back, i told them i would not accept this and wanted it replaced with a new one. 2 weeks later another phone call i go to the store again and yet again another Reburb one, at this point i was fuming as the staff were getting very rude and were not helpful at all.Mio policy is replacement is only for a Refurb item tehy do not replace it with a new one, Plz be careful when buying an item from a retail outlet they dont inform you of the small print. All up out of 10 months of owning A MIO 268 it was in the shop for 25 weeks thats disgraseful for Customer service. I will never buy another Mio product again and as for the service Domayne offered me "SEVICE" HA never will i shop at Domayne again.

Had same kind of problem, sent it to Mio they sent it back (done the back and forth 2 times) and after a while they said that this is 'normal behavior' and they won't do anything more about it.
