Eden Cosmetics cancellation of order/order shipped anyway

I submitted a request for a trial offer of this make-up. When the company representative phoned me to verify my order, I specifically asked if this purchase of a trial size enrolled me in any monthly program, or if additional fees would apply. The person said NO. She then went on to read a script to me (very quickly) that said I'd be billed each month for additional shipments. I said at that point and time that I wanted to cancel the trial order and that I didn't want to receive any product from them, at any time. Furthermore, I asked them to remove my name from their calling list and their email solicitation list. I just received an email that said my order has shipped. I requested two days ago that I not receive anything from them. I just called to complain and cancel the order, they said the product has already shipped and I now will be responsible for it's return or be billed. I am furious. This company has placed charges on my credit card without my authorization and I consider this to be FRAUD.

they will not let you return the crap and then they charge you 130.00 out of your account. when you try to call and cancel they have no phone to call and dont give you a number. they say it is a free trail and nothing about all this other crap they have done to me and my bank. they have now cost me over 300.00 just in bank fees alone. Please feel free to let me know how to handle this in the correct manner, if there is one.

I tried the free trial for a $1.00 but turned out to be $9.00. I try to cancel it but the number keeps saying it is not available. Then on Christmas eve it took 130.from my credit card. This is a scam and nothing in this free trial is worth 130 dollars.

I just filed a complaint to the BBB (BBB.org). I would encourage everyone to do the same. If they get a large volume of complaints and everyone follows up on the complaint, they will be forced to take action. They have the company on file, as I was able to pick this farce of a company from a list. As you can see, there is no addredd on the Mineral Elements by Eden URL. I am tired of these type of companies. Free is suppose to be FREE.

THIS COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF. THEY GET YOU TO TRY A KIT FOR $9 AND WITHIN 15 DAYS THEY CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD $ 70 . THE PRODUCT IS CRAP AND IF YOU WNAT TO TRY NATURAL MINERALS FOR YOUR SKIN, YOU'RE BETTER OFF TO GO TO THE MALL AND TRY THE ESSENTIAL MINERALS FOR LESS THEN HALF THE PRICE OF THESE CROOKS.

Eden Cosmetics did not order $130.41 worth of cosmetics. I ordered $1.00

I did not order $130.41 worth of cosmetics. I ordered a sample for $1.00. This is a scam, my bank will not stop or send back because of the $1.00 pre-authorization.

I am very poor this is why I even looked at this offer twice because I thought I was ordering a sample for $1.00.

I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

This is a scam, false advertising, I am very very very mad. I will have to now change my bank account so this cannot happen again.

Eden Cosmetics risk free trial scam.

I called to cancel the product and i was told i could not get my money back becuase I had missed the the trial dead line. Apparently the 10 day trial starts the date you order the product not when you recieve it. You don't 10 days to use it. If it takes 2 days to recieve it you have 8 days to get it back to them. Less than that if you count the days you use to send it back. They got me for a $130.00 box of worth less powder. Don't by this product.

I read your complaints the same day I received the "trial" kit of make-up. I went back and read the policy thoroughly, saw about the $130.41 charge and IMMEDIATELY returned the kit. But, I went a couple of steps further to insure that this company would not find any excuse and charge me:

1) I called my card company and explained the whole situation. They immediately flagged my account and told me that if the company tried to charge my card, they would dispute ANY charges.

2) When I returned the kit, I went to the post office and put a delivery confirmation on the package. It may cost a little more, but trust me, IT IS WORTH IT. That way, I was able to go online and know EXACTLY when the USPS attempted to deliver it to the company and when exactly it was delivered.

3) I have kept ALL correspondence from the company. Hint: The return policy says you have ten days to return it, BUT when you get the RMA number, you actually have fourteen days.

Hope this helps someone!

Eden Cosmetics hidden return policy

I called Mineral Elements on Nov.4 2009 spoke with a Kim and cancelled account, within the proper 14 day FREE TRAIL NO RISK! I DID NOT AUTHORIZE ANY OTHER CHARGES, BUT, THE ORIGINAL CHARGE OF $1.00 PLUS S-H.

I receive Social Security direct deposit and on Dec.4th they charged my account $130.00 dollars. Of course they are not open right now. That is part of my rent and will place me in direct woe. I emailed them and am awaiting a reply. If they do not replace my funds and delete my card account, What actions can I take.

Thank you, God bless! and Happy New Year!

Eden Cosmetics fraud/online theft

This company's" Free Trial Offer" is a hoax to get the consumer into an expensive ongoing membership agreement. They debited my daughter's bank account $131.40(plus bank fee's) for a product she never ordered. They disguise their deal in the smaller print. The post offices & banking institutions are aware of these practices, but offer nothing to stop it. Also, I cannot find a listing for the company in the PA. Better Business Bureau's online file. Believe me I would protest to the BBB if I could get a legitimate name for the company operating this rip-off. Mostly it is happening to less fortunate people who cannot afford to loose the money they are stealing from bank accounts. Change you debit card immediately or it could continue to debit your account and get by with it because debit cards are tougher to dispute.

I too have been de-frauded by them. I cancelled within the ten days, and then requested what they term an "RMA" code to return their "free trial." They responded by sending me a new order, and then when I tried again, told me my account was ineligible. However, the small print says you have within 14 days, which still hasn't passed since the date the original order shipped. I actually have a family member who knows the ins and outs of the Consumer Complaints division at the Pennsylania Attorney General's office, and I will be making a criminal complaint both with that state -- it shipped from Harrisburg, the state capital -- and my home state, California. But hopefully my credit card protection will also help. Good luck. Reply if you want to join your complaint with mine. Eden Cosmetics fraud

I did a survey for a $1 to sample their makeup (then included was shipping and handling) so my $1 turned into $9. I received an email that the product was shipped on 12/10/09 I did not receive it until 12/15/09 (holiday mail) then they charged my account on 12/18/09 which was 2 days early for the 10 day trial. But I supposedly received a trial that was to last 60 days. These containers will not last a couple of weeks. Hence the point for the free trial - you expect trial size. I was charged $130.41 for minimal makeup that does not work. Do not buy this product! Do not do a trial of this product. You will be screwed! I called customer service and sat on hold for 6 minutes the first call after someone answered. Then had to hang up and call back and when I told I could not hold she said "Well you will just have to." So I asked for a supervisor (Heathter) - she of course was no help. They need to take courses in customer service, because I have been in customer service for 20 years and never have I treated a customer like that even when they wished ill on my child.

Sincerely,
Michelle

You took out my account 89.00. I sent it back to you. Was it not good enough for you. My self and my friend tried the " element makeup" my friend is a hair dresser and I'm in the funeral service. I use makeup from a mall and I use cosematics I've always use it. Your product I tried is no good, I could get it from the dime store. I was a full for the surveys. I will never do it again and I will always how you rip me off to anybody or any company. I went through rippoff and BBB. I see so many people you have ripped off from eden. How can you feel about yourself, taking money for a product that is no good.

WSECU Cardholder Dispute Form Attachment

Last summer I ordered free trial samples from Mineral Elements by Eden. The products were not satisfactory. They had been advertised to cover redness and not to melt off in humidity. Neither proved true. So, I sent an email to the company immediately to cancel my membership and any further shipments with the stated reason that “your products did not work for me.” I received an email reply stating my membership was cancelled.
I thought this would be the end of it.
Now, six months later, they charged my VISA account with $69.41.
When I called to ask them to correct their error, they refused to reverse the charge. The customer agent, “Donna”, stated I had not lived up my membership agreement. I said it was advertised as a free trial. She said it is free if you mail the little samples back within 14 days. Apparently, this was in the shipping information but I had not been able to read that fine print, which I explained. After getting nowhere with her, I asked to speak to her supervisor. She said her supervisor would call me back.
Several hours later, “Stephanie” called back. She said more or less the same thing. She said the samples needed to have been returned within 14 days of their postmark in order to be free. I told her I did not know that but I would be glad to return them. She said the deadline was past. That now I had purchased them and the amount was $69.41. Again, she said I did not fulfill my membership agreement, although she too acknowledged my email canceling it. She offered to reverse $20 of the charge. I told her that was just not satisfactory as I had ordered nothing and agreed to pay for nothing. Then she offered me a $50 dine-out certificate. I told her I simply wanted the unauthorized charge reversed, that I could not afford such an expensive “free sample.” She just kept repeating that I had not fulfilled my terms of membership. So I asked her for their address and informed her I would contact VISA.
I've filed Cardholder dispute with Visa but as of today 12-22-08 have had no resolution.

I had the same thing happen to me with this fraudulent company as everyone else. Went to the website to get their "free trial offer." After getting through all the credit card info. they present their terms and conditions which states buried in the fine print that you will be charged the 69 dollars if you keep the product. I actually read it so I DID NOT CLICK ON THE "I AGREE" BOX. They sent the junk anyway and I have been in a 5 month war with them, my credit card company, and the Better Business Bureau to try to get my money back and have the BBB shut them down. Everyone who has been scammed by this company needs to submit a complaint to the BBB so that they can act. The website is: dc-easternpa.bbb.org.

I received the trial package for $7.32, without being aware I would then have to pay $69.00 for an additional shipment. I called to cancel, but was told that I had to pay that amount. I called for a return number, but was told it was too late, that I had missed it by one day. I wonder where they count the number of days, from shipment or from receipt. They certainly cannot count from receipt.

Never Never Never sign up for the free trials! Let me save you some grief. This company offers free trials with only a charge for shipping and handling, sends miniscule product (which they say is the regular order), and start your trial from the moment they ship. So if it takes 10 days to reach you and the trial is 15 days, then you have only marginal time to try the product. I never even got my box opened before they were debiting my account. Now I'm stuck with a product that I never really got to try. From what I have learned so far this is a scam with all the online free trial offers.
I hope this saves some poor soul from all the trouble I am going through

So explain to me how am I to return something I never got in the mail. Not only that they tag on other shipments from other companies that you don't know about and charge your account. The customer service reps. are not helpful. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.. TOTAL SCAM...

I saw this on a link from a website. Free trial offer, just pay shipping & handling ($7.32). Nowhere on the "free offer" did it state "If you don't return this within 15 days of ordering we will charge your account $69.41." If the statement was there at all it was in either very small print or in another link that I failed to click on. This is a true bait and switch offer and the company is obviously unethical in its practices or this type of operation would not be necessary for them.

In the first place there is a small zipper bag, 3 small brushes and 4 SMALL containers (2.5 gr each) of different foundations and powders in the box. In no way are the total of the items worth $69.41 + $7.32. With just a postcard that says nothing about the 15 days to call for a return number. Well it took 10 - 14 days to get the stuff and there was no info on where to return the stuff if I wanted to, only the number for customer service. When I go to the website it tells me that any returns or cancelations to notify the company with No info on how or where to go to do that. I am very unsatisfied with this product and the business practices of this company.

In the second place, I wear very little makeup and was going to try this to see if I'd like it as well or better than what I am currently using. It came to my home and stayed here for a few days (making it past the time limit) before I even opened it. Certainly before I saw the unexpected charge on my card. I hopefully have managed to get future automatic charges for their "Club Membership" canceled. My very unsatisfactory rude customer service representative is named Carol and the cancellation confirmation number is 1068. She told me that I had been notified in an email which I never received. However I am still stuck with the product that they will not let me return and the totally unexpected charge which I can least afford.

I certainly hope a lot of people check this site before getting stuck by this company. Beware of trial offers of any kind. This is the first time I've had this happen and it will be the last.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MINERAL ELEMENTS BY EDEN. If you have been taken advantage by this company, file a complaint with the state's Better Business Bureau.

I had a similar experience. I received a "trial size" for about two DAYS, it is still in the package. However I received a offer from Bare Essentials a brand I know and trust but received Mineral Elements makeup. I didn't give it another thought, I chalked it up to a $4.95 mistake. Then I got my credit card statement, two charges one for $4.95 and one for $130.41 from "AMT Makeup [protected]". I didn't even know where the charges came from. I called and got a woman that refused to give me her name. I told her I don't think I have an account, she told me yes I did and another order was getting ready to ship. I asked her another order of what? That is when they explained the "trial size" was my "starter kit" to join some club. I told them they were insane. She told me I didn't return the product in ten days, so I owe them. I received no notification or return mailing with this product. I still have the original packaging and spam email. I have disputed the charge.

Eden Cosmetics scam-theft

I signed up for a trail offer for 1.00 as soon as I saw how much this company wanted for MAKE UP I clicked on the link to cancel. They shipped product anyway . I waited for them to send me information on how to return this product but I have yet to get anything. I went to withdraw money this money and found out that they have withdrew 134.00 from my account without my permission . My bank gave me a number to call and I got ahold of someone who informed me I only canceld my membership and that they would not refund my money or give me information on how to return the product. I explained I was going to file a compliant with the Attornery Generals office and that this company has stole my money . This women did not care and Charlene her supervisor was not in and she would return my call when she got into the office . This company is running a scam and stealing money . They give you no information on how to sent this product back then even when you click on the link to cancel they still send out product and take a large amount of money without permission. This is fraud and I would think Federal theft because they are stealing money over state lines by wire which puts them in a breaking Federal Laws. Do not sign up with this Company . EDEN is a theif.

You can find good mineral makeup on ebay. I received mine in the mail today and I only paid $21.95 for a full kit including brushes, and free shipping. Will last a few months with regular use. Mineral makeup contains no fillers, and it looks like you don't get much for your money, but you really do. Check the ingredients before you buy - the best mineral makeups will have very few ingredients, and the top three ingredients will be zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, and iron oxides. Avoid fillers and rice powders, ultramarine, and talc. I am not shilling for any mineral makeup sellers or companies, but I researched mineral makeup (and everything else I buy) thoroughly before setting money down..the internet is a vast information source, check it out before you buy it.

Signed up for a "trial" of the product through the internet to be eligible for other offers. Got a ridiculous product in the mail that my daughter said wasn't the product she expected.

Then found that instead of postage and handling, as a "trial" product would cost, I was billed $130.41 under a generic name. Did a three way call with my credit card company and I was told I "Paid for a trial package." Hate to think what the regular price is...

If Postage and handling is $130.41, then clearly this company isn't responsible in the slightest. Cancelled my credit card. Filing a FRAUD report with my credit card company. Plan to REFUSE to pay for my credit card if this fraud isn't dealt with this appropriately. Figure a disreputable con artist who could bill such amounts for a 'free trial' would think NOTHING of using my credit information for...

This company will call it a "free trial" then on the phone a "trial package", and so forth. Acting STUPID like this was the most NORMAL thing in the world. I think I want them to pay $231 Postage and handling to take their UNOPENED INFERIOR VERSION back!

It's about right since a "free trial" is $130.41. It would be FUNNY if they sent the 'regular' package now. I think I'd like to invoice them $333 since we all live in la la land and think 130 is a 'free trial'. The delivery charge must be FROM THE MOON where these guys are after smoking a few...

They know they are lying. They're good cause they can calmly claim ON THE PHONE WITH THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY that you paid 130.41 for your 'trial package.' And wouldn't shut up about how this was 'ok', and how they wanted me to repeat all the personal information that they used to steal from me in the first place. I hung up and let the credit card company know I wasn't taking NO for an ANSWER

Plain and simple, there must be something that rewards credit card companies for letting this happen.. Mine didn't like the six calls afterwards DEMANDING my card be cancelled. Guess that would hurt their business of overbilling..

Now getting a new card, the forms to file the fraud charge, and no, I will NOT pay anything more than the minimum card payment until I am positive that they won't rebill under the new card arriving in a week.

Yes, I charge hundreds a month... Getting a card through my mutual fund might be a BETTER BET if the money lords don't do this right! Fraud will be punished. Credit card companies can't afford to have PISSED OFF VICTIMS who not only debate the 130, but the 40 penalty when your card is overdrawn for xmas, and the loss of a customer that pays WELL BEFORE the deadlines.

I will not be satisfied with simply a removal of charges. I want to know their 'legal representative.' Address, name and license number. I want them in court to pay their 200 to 599 fee I plan to charge for being blatant thieves. If the rep doesn't have a license to practice law, I will demand they return for an attorney or I will go class action. Lots of hungry attornies out there. RobPelch@live.com

I refused delivery on my make up because there was no where to cancel after i order it. When I spoke to the company about getting my $134.01 back they said they could not because I did not follow the guide lines. While I was talking to the supervisor she stated that I refused delivery on 12/10/09 and she could see it in the compute. They took the money out of my account on 12/15/09. This is a scam, they could see I refused the product and still took the money out of my account. I am going to raise hell! I can not believe a company would act with such bad business practice! It is a blatant disregard to everyone that comes into contact with the company, not just myself. Do Not Purchase Eden products because they do not care about you the consumer!

I find I have the same problem I thought I was trying a sample for 1.00 plus shipping and handeling not buying a product for 70.00. It seem that the only way that they can swll their make up is by fraudelent advertising. The sin of it is that I have cancer and tried to use my card to pay for my drugs when I was told that I did not have enough m0ney only to find out that this company had removed $69.95 from my account when I told them about it I am met with their policy. Needless to say I can not get my medication. That has set me back in reatment quiet a bit. I hope they are satisfied I hope that I don't die for make up that I don't even wear. They sent a color that even if I did wear makeup would not match my skin.

Eden Cosmetics $130.41

I have been charged $130.41 on my pay as you go credit card that I did not authorize. I started filling out a form and discovered there was hidden cost, so I declined to finish the form. To late! We called Walmart MoneyCard and they say that they can't do anything even though our money is still pending. I am so outraged by this whole experience. I should have never started filling out the form to begin with. On our transaction record (online) it doesn't even give a phone number for them, or an account number for the supposed purchase. Walmart says that they (Eden Cosmetics) has until 12/8/09 to either go ahead and finish taking the money, or take their hold off of it. The outcome is in the Hand's of God. I am trying to do what is humanly possible to stop this. I did find information that other people posted, and I did some surfing and found 'Eden Cosmetics' in North Wales, PA [protected], but the person answering the phone doesn't speak english well enough for me to understand her. I do not know what else to do. I am plenty mad about this. I will do what I can to help others in their efforts to disarm these people, but let me tell you that they have a privacy policy listed on Google that was just updated this month that seems like they can get by doing whatever they want until we opt out of whatever we accidently got ourselves into.

My mom was scammed by this place to she didn't even get a package. All you have to do is call your bank and tell them you were scammed and you want a charge back on you account. They will cancell your card and give you a new one and give you your money back on your account.

Eden Cosmetics online scam-false advertisement

The ad reads try our trial a 175.00 dollar value for only the shipping and handeling of 1.00 dollar. (product is mineral elements by eden) looked over fine print nothing further listed of any hidden fee's etc... the product arrives, beautiful bag and card with brushes, so, I thought woow! what a nice trial offer. next, I read the card that says'"if you have any questions of the product to call them". I call and I said ive recieved my trial today, iam in the bed with the flu", (so bear with me on my voice,) however I say." quote, "I just wanted to call and see how the trial works:, due to many comp[anies having hidden fees. I asked if I try the product and don't' like it'", I assume its mine to keep?) if I like or love it, how do I order more? how much is it? the operator states and I quote well mrs. v... you will need to return the unused portion and we will charge you a 25 dollar cancelation fee (what0 if we recive it within 15 days after you recieved it, next I quote, the operater states however what most people do is extend a additional 5 days to get a full trial so, they can see if they choose to keep or return it, the operater stated, I quote, for you with the flu as long as we have it back by november 23rd before 4 p. m we will only charge the cancel fee of 25 dollars, if you keep the product you will be charged 175, 00 yes one hundred seventy five dollars. plus you will then be billes each 60 days 40 dollars to keep up your service. next if you cancel at any time there after, remember this is quote, the operater states we will then remove you from the list and you will pay the cancel fee of 25 dollars and the call ended, now me speaking, what in the wallflower is going on here,? how can a company do such a thing to a consumer, so the moral of these facts are, don't order any trials without finding out more info, like a phone number to call or something, this whole situation just floored me. not to mention, my husband is a cop and I work in law. have a nice safe internet browsing day friends. rip off artists, scams and its just well the words I want to use, you would have to read beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. thank you, a upset consumer putting the word out and to remain anyonomous... be careful... b... s... lori from nyc I was told a trial means quote however long a product lasts according to the amount given to the consumer per type of product, so thay asume once tere rule of trial runs out, you want more without even asking, explaining, the product looks good, I did return it, and iam still fighting the hidden fees of the 25 cancell fee.

This company is a TOTAL SCAM! Making you believe that you will only pay $1 and make you fill your credit card information, and after you click OK, there will be another page showing up and basically says that you will also be charged $130 after 15 days, and to confirm this you should put your credit card information AGAIN.
I NEVER put it in again, in other words, I never confirm the transaction, but they went ahead and sent me the trials, and charge me $5 for shipping and handling and $130 for trials! I talked to a few different people this last 2 days and they won't give me my money back!
THIS IS A SCAM! DON'T EVEN BELIEVE THEM! They tell outright lies!

I went to their website, and on the bottom line there is a link which says "return and refunds policy", and yes, they give you a phone number to call [protected] ), but they don't mention anything about the $25 cancellation fee. I think maybe they take advantage that most people don't take the time to read, and get fooled by the advertisement.

I am calling them right now, and I am waiting for minutes... Maybe it's done for a purpose to fool people, so they will give up on trying on the phone.

After 15 minutes waiting, a lady called Ashley said if I order it now I only pay the $1 and the shipping to return... I don't know now if she is lying, after reading what happened to you.

This morning I found my back account to had been charged $130.41 from mineral elements. I had canceled this member ship service the day I recieved the package in the mail and sent the stuff back. I called the office today to discuss this and ask that my $130 be put back into my account. I was told that I did not cancel my membership 2 weeks ago and that I did not send the product back. I asked to speak with a manager and was told one would have to call me back. WHAT kind of company is this. I just want my money back, they have there product back.

I had a similar incident with Mineral Elements by Eden. I recieved the notice from the delivery company stating that I had a package waiting from Mineral at my local post office. I was unable to get to the post office that day and ventured there the following. I picked up the pkg and was going to return directly back to Mineral, but I was running late getting my daughter to her concert. I rushed out of the post office. The next day, I injured my ankle and was unable to walk, let alone drive back to the post office. I decided to open the pkg to get the return label out of the box so I could send the product back. Upon doing so, I realized that there was a phone number to contact to get return information. I called Mineral, but got a message stating that they were closed and would not return until the next business day (which was Monday). So, Monday I called Mineral and they were unavailable--again! Tuesday, I decided I would go directly to the post office to see what I could do, nut called Mineral again. I finally got a real person on the line. I tols her that I wanted the return information so I could mail the product back. She told me, in a nutshell, that, "Your ten-day trial is up. Enjoy your product! Bye!" I caught her before she hung up and told her that I just recieved the product four days ago. Her response was, "Your 10-day trial starts the day we ship it to you. We shipped it on Monday." "That's NOT 10 days! And I didn't order it until Wednesday, " I said. Again, she said, "Enjoy your product! We will be charging your account $175.00 within 24-hrs! Bye!" And hung up. I even got legal services involved and there was nothing that they could do. I had to close out my bank account because Mineral kept charging my account! Now, I owe my bank over $500 because of Mineral! What can I do!

Eden Cosmetics charged $130.41 for trial offer

Looked at trial offer of Mineral Elements by Eden on line/after reading the info about being enrolled into Mineral Elements by Eden Beauty Club I CANCELED out of the trial offer. I later received a very small box of 4 powder make up & cheap brushes & case & my Credit Card was charged $1 for shipping. I returned the box to the shipper. Later my credit card was charged $130.41 & this also caused 2 overdraft fees on my account for $35 each because I was not expecting the charge. When I called Mineral Elements Customer Service I was informed that I did not Cancel out of the trial offer that I had agreed to the shipment & they stated I had 10 days to CXL my Beauty Club & return the box to them wite a return authorization # that they provide when you call & get the #. I did not see any of this information on line when I was doing the trial offer because I CXL before I read the terms & conditions/they state that this info is also in the box that you receive, but it says not of this it states to go to a web site, but you do not know this if you return the box unopened to the shipper. I received not credit & no help with the overdraft fees, just everyperson I spoke with repeating the same thing over & over about the terms & conditions that I had agreed to. I ask for a supervisor & I was informed the same speach. PLEASE EVERYONE DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM MINERAL ELEMENTS BY EDEN THEY ARE ONLY RIPPING OFF PEOPLE WHO WORK HARD FOR THEIR MONEY & CANNOT AFFORD THIS.

I did the very same thing you did, they are saying the very same thing to me they said to you, and charged me the same amount they charged you. It's not very fair, I'm broke because of them! I can't wait until they go out of business or something happens to them! I wanted to do something fun.. you know, just to try the make- up out and they did tell me on the phone today (after calling to see why I haven't gotten the materials yet) that I only had 10 days before they charge me, and I didn't even know because NO WHERE did it say (unless we would have to get a magnifier to read the small prints) we only had 10 days to return the completely useless product, which shouldn't even be priced $130! These are something I could get at WAL-MART for LESS.. and they work just the same.
This lesson costed me $130,

WOMEN- PLEASE DON'T PAY FOR THE SAME STUPID MISTAKES!

Eden Cosmetics make up scam-credit card theft.

I ordered the free trial make up kit and agreed to pay $1.00. They charged my credit card $1.00 and shipped out the product. I canceled the order as soon as I received it. I tried to send it back but the sales rep said my grace period was up and had to keep it and charged my account $130.00. First off all I did not authorize this company to charge me $130.00 for four little containers of baby powder make up that is very messy and some weak make up brushes. Furthermore, when they called me to confirm the shipment. I told them not to ship it because they kept calling my house over and over and just hanging up. I was nervous before they even shipped it. I told the rep to don't ship it and to not charge my card.

The owners of this company should be in prison for credit card theft.

I also was fooled by this...now I am having problem with my left eye. It has pus oozing from it..the only thing I can think of is I used this make-up. I want to return their product but after reading these complaints I now know this is a scam. Unfortunally I received their "free Trial" offer on 6/20/2011, but I had to leave town due to my Mother entering the hospital and passed away on the 31 st of May. Now there will be a charge against my account that I can not afford, as a matter of fact it will be overdrawn. This is so wrong and misleading, but we should know by now nothing is "free". These surveys are a bigger scam, when you think you are at the end, they have you pick 2-3 companies the try their "FREE" products only to have this happen. Buyers BEWARE! I wish I saw your post before I ordered their products.
First of all, the products hurt my skin. I have break outs all over my face. Then I cancel the membership. So I called the customer service to make sure that I will not be charged for things that hurt me. Not only that the customer service is totally no help at all, but also all they can do is taking your money.
And YES, PLEASE DON'T BUY ANYTHING OFF THERE!

Eden Cosmetics fraud - terrible product and return policy

I received this product which I had 10 days from shipment 10/09/09 to use. I received on the 15th from our local post office. How was I supposed to try it and get it shipped back within the 10 days? I called on the 19th to cancel it and I'm just SOL as far as thr price of $130.41. This is overpriced and not any better make up than Covergirl or Maybelline. No one told me I could extend my trial period and that's how this company screws you! So don't do the free trial period! You will get suckered and they will take your money that you work so hard for. Very dissatisying.

Eden Cosmetics unauthorized charge

I too signed up for the "free sample" and received my kit in the mail. I was not happy and decided to send it back, before I could do so, my debt card was charged $130.00! I called customer service, and was told that they could do nothing. This company is a scam! I will be calling my bank in the morning (as this is Sunday) and demanding that they no longer accept charges from this company. Their 10 day "free" trial is a joke! Hopefullynot too many more of you out there have fallen for this scam.

Today I got charged $130.00 for this S@#$. They told me they would cancel my membership, but, no refund. I had "10 days from shipment" to cancel the order, and it is in the "terms and Conditions". Of course I didn't check my e-mail, and so I didn't see that I was getting charged this amount. I am going to see what the bank will do for me. This is crap. They have continued to take funds out of my bank account even though I called and cancelled everything 2 days after receiving my trial offer and severely broke out from the make up. I sent the remainder of the product back to them just like I was directed to do and they still had the nerve to take my money.

7/28/10 - Just discovered this forum - Thank you - Eden is the worst of the worst - masquerading as COSTCO in my case! Two big Costco banners, proclaiming that if you try just one product on the list for $1.00, you will receive a prepaid Costco card for $250; and if you try two products for $1.00 each, you will (not be in a drawing for, or any such condition) receive a prepaid Costco card for $500. I thought I stumbled on a Costco underadvertised deal! Ha! I wrote quite a lengthy report to the FBI, to the CA Atty General's office (Jerry Brown), the BBB and my cousin Vicky! I've been shouting from the rooftops. And, best of all, the makeup is so poorly packaged (I agree that it is - barely - Dollar Store quality) I declined to even open it up - especially after seeing, thru the cheap plastic, how low end the brushes are. I wonder where the brush material originated since it's held to the cheesy handle with thin crimped aluminum. Perhaps Shell2424 & Earlybird are the same person/Eden employee. Puhleeze - I am prepared to fight any and all charges tooth and nail in the most public fashion. Thank you, other bilked consumers, for your input. Sharon M

This Edna Cosmetic has tried to take funds out of my account for a product that I have not received. I call them two weeks ago to cancel the product and I was told that I had to call back with some RMA # that is on the box. I just received the box and now they are tell me that I will still be charged for the product which it $130.00. This company is taking people money out of their accounts without permission this is against the law. This company needs to be closed down until they can do better business with the public.

Again I say read the terms here they are : You will have 15 days from the date of shipment to try the Mineral Elements by Eden™ Mineral Make-up Introductory Kit. Generally, we ship your product within 24 hours of sign-up (except on holidays and weekends) by first-class mail through the United States Postal Service (“USPS”). According to the USPS published delivery schedules, your shipment should arrive within 3 to 5 days. Accordingly, this should provide you around 10 to 12 days to try our product. The Trial period ends 15 days from the shipment date. If you are not satisfied after trying our product you will be responsible for returning the remaining ("make-up"), as well as the brushes, cosmetic bag and brush pouch (“accessories”) to avoid further charges.

I get so tired of people blaming others for their problems, you didn't do your research take some ownership

I can understand your frustration. I thought I was ordering a risk free trial period, only
had to pay shipping (7.92).
I would be billed about every 2 months for the membership fee of 69.41.
Yea, right they billed my card for 7.92 on 8/12/09.
They billed my card again on 8/26/09 for 69.41.
So I pay 2 months in advance? This was never mentioned in the offer.
The quality of the makeup is about the same as what you would buy at
a Dollar Tree for a buck.
It's not a miracle makeup, not even close. The membership is a joke.
Anyone that is interested in this product should read the complaints FIRST!
Once this company has your card number, your screwed. They bill you so fast for the first membership you don't have a chance to return the free trail, and you haven't even
gotten the makeup yet.
If it's too good to be true, it probably is "TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE."
Take my word - do not buy this product.

I was led to believe it was a sample, also. Got the same charges and didnt even have the product for what they were calling the trial AFTER the time was up. And extremely poor product.

Eden Cosmetics false advertising

I sure wish I saw this website before trying the "free offer". Now where does it say you must return the product or pay 69.71. I thought I was getting a chance to find a great new product to use. I did not. What I got was false advertising, mis-representation, overdraft check fees and a bad taste in my mouth. Nowhere on the offer does it state you will be charged if the "free trial" is not returned. (Which by the way you are not refunded shipping and handling and you are responsible for paying to ship it back). I have closed that account in order to keep any other charges from incurring on my bank account. I hope we can get this company shut down!

I ordered the free trial for shipping cost and I have just found out they have charged my charge account for the full price.
When I saw that it was auto ship I email the company and cancelled any membership with auto ship. I emailed them right after i got the product, yet they are still putting charges on my credit card account. They emailed me back told me that they had cancelled that membership and auto ship. What can I do?

I agree. This company is NOT to be trusted. I hope no one else falls for their scam. They give you a 10 day window to try the product but it takes 8 days to receive the makeup. So you basically have 1 day to try it out decide if you like it or not and immediately call customer service.

Eden Cosmetics unauthorized debit charge

Eden Cosmetics, endorsed by Rachel Ray's promotional
web bussiness, sold me a Mineral case of cosmetics for the amount of $7.32, which I payed with my debit card.
Now they have my debit card information and they are charging my account for the amount of $69.41.
For some folks this amount might be insignificant but for hard worker like me is a big amount.
Thanks so much for caring

I just got my shipment in the mail today, it's not even that great. I canceled my bank account so they could not charge me. After reading all the comments and realizing it was a scam I had to do something. I can't afford 130 dollars on a couple crappy pieces of powder. Does anyone know if they will still be able to get my money even if I closed my bank account and opened a new one (which they don't have the information on?) Please give me some input on this if you have any. Thanks

I am hitting this company up with a Better Buisness Bureau complaint. "Trial period" ... that means the product is in my hands and I am using it - not when is being shipped. This product is way to good to be using such under handed tactics! I won't EVER try any offers like this again...Eden Cosmetics has just shot themselves in the foot! 4mercury

Eden Cosmetics fraudulent credit card charges

This company charged products to one of my credit cards w/o basis of an order, without asking for a CVV code, and without my knowledge. Claims made by customer service when I called was that the product was delivered to me and that I'd have to pay for the charges, no proof of delivery, no proof of order, nothing. The CSR was rude and defensive. I have contacted my issuing bank and contested the charges, the Attorney Generals office to file a complaint, and am contacting the local Postmaster as the company says they shipped product by US Mail.

they hit me for 130.41 I can't find anywhere or any reason for that amount. I am contesting the charges, but aside from suing them, I don't know what to do.
