I bought some CDs from the MindBody Series years ago (3-5 years?) They were poor quality, but they arrived in a timely way, and I felt it was my fault for thinking they would be worthwhile... Imagine my dismay when I found NEW CHARGES (Sept, Oct., Nov. 2007) on my credit card from the MINDBody Series! I didn't notice the first month, but in all I had 3 monthly charges of $9.95 each. I emailed the company and was told that I was sent an email in July informing me of the MindBody update, and that I had agreed to a trial membership. NOT! I hadn't even received the email. (I assume it was filtered out as the SPAM that it was.) Their email stated very politely that they would remove the charges. I'll be confirming that!

Buyer beware if you've ever bought anything from the MINDBody Series. Check your credit card statement!

    I have to first apologize for your experience. Our mission is to reduce the stress in peoples' lives, and to aid them in their overall quest for wellness. The Wellness Center membership is offered with every purchase on the order page, as an opt-in. I'm thinking some people are missing this. We will review the process to make sure it is completely clear. I think it is an amazing resource and have had terrific feedback from many of our customers, but I am completely with you about how frustrating it is to be charged for something when you are not expecting it! I certainly do not want that to be anyone's experience, and I assure you that our customer service is exemplary - we go far above and beyond what is typical customer service because that is the way I like to be treated when I am a customer. I will personally look into your account to make sure that your charges were reversed.

    As a side-note, Dr. Frank's methodology is one I followed when we first started working together. I credit it for curing my acid-reflux disease, which doctors had told me I would need medication to treat for the rest of my life. I also dropped nearly 40 pounds and got into the best shape of my life using the MobileMinute workout from the Wellness Center. Beyond that, I really learned how to clinically relax - not the "relaxation" that we think of when we hear that term. I really believe that this alone has helped me in all aspects of my life - maintaining a state of relaxation when I'm stressed has made me much more capable of coping and making the best out of stressful situations. I really believe in the products, and again, that has made me very conscious of helping others, so I do apologize for the inconvenience we have inadvertently caused you.     in answer to Gregory Palumbo's comment: I purchased CDs 3-5 YEARS ago. I did not miss an opt-in (or opt-out) to join the Wellness Center when I made that purchase ~4 YEARS ago.

    The email I received from MindBody Series in response to my complaint very clearly stated that the current charges were in reference to an email I supposedly received (I didn't) and responded positively to (how could I? I didn't receive the email) in JULY 2007.

    "Actions speak louder than words." If you mean what your wrote, then treat the next buyer better than you did me. You've lost me.

    The same has happenned to me and when I talk to DISCOVER CARD they said thet is would be removed but they had no phone for them and Discover would adsorb the charge as a courtisy to me.

    I just this morning realized that for the past 18 to 24 months I've been charged for $9.95 from Mind body series. Because I had another site I subscribed to for the same amount I thought it was for that site and just paid it and went on. But now I realize that all this time I've been paying for something and I don't even know what. I did order the CD series and thought it was good but after the series was up I called and canceled and never gave it another thought. Well now after at least $179.00 dollars later I'm still being billed. I have not talked with them yet but I have sent them an early morning e-mail asking to cancel immediately. Time will tell as to how they handle it.

    WOW, same here. I just received 3 charges for $9.95 for June and July. Called my credit card company and disputed charges. Tried to call THEM, got an answering machine response. Tried to cancel my account via internet. these people are very insulated and hard to reach. This is definitely an intentional scam. Who do we notify ??

    i just learned all of the above the hard wey. Multiple unauthorized charges to my VISA which i had not used with them for 4 years!!!

    I've reviewed my records and begin being charged $9.95 in Aug. 2007. I have reviewed by Visa account back through 2002 and can see no previous charges, although I have purchased something from them in the past. I sent a cancellation email in March 2008 and just noticed that I am now being charged twice a month in June and July of 2008. Today, I sent a registered letter with documentation requesting cancellation of the account and repayment of the charges since by March cancellation email. I wish I had caught this earlier. I smell a class action suit. I am very thankful that this site appeared when I googled Mind Body Series.

    I too am being billed 9.95 per week for a subscription service I or my wife never signed up for or have used. Does any one know who to contatc in California to submit a formal complaint?

    Ditto on most... monthly charges for months when I never remember purchasing anything from them. Then when I didn't catch it because I was traveling, they upped the frequency to weekly! I would love to find a way to reach their prospective clients to warn them of Mind Body fraud before they purchase anything at all.

    I have had this exact experience. I ordered the CDs back in 2005. I just notices three charges per month at $9.95 each. By my quick calculation those CDs have cost my over $1000!!! I want my money back immediately.

    Furthermore I think some litigation needs to be passed to protect future victims of scams like this. Not just against the "Mind Body Wellness" company but there must be hundreds of other similar scams out there.

    I have also had the same experience. It has been several years since I ordered the CDs and just a couple of months ago I noticed that I have been charged $9.95 eleven times, since 7/11/07, for something I did not order. I have contacted my credit card company and I got reimbursed for 5 of the charges but they said the other charges are too old and they cannot do anything about them. I plan to contact Dr. Andrew Weil's website (I think that is where I heard about the series) and/or Dr. Phil's website (or I might have heard about if from this site) and let them know what is going on and that they should not be telling people to buy the CDs. If anyone wants to pursue legal action, please let me know because from reading all of these comments, this company is obviously out to rip people off.

    Another victim here. This sucks. I see they've been billing me $9.95 weekly for the past several months. For what??? I have no clue. I did buy their CD's years ago, but I did not sign up for anything more. I will be pursuing reimbursement!

    yet another, bought and paid for cds in 2004, done and paid for. They started charging that credit card 9.95 in July 2007. I talked to Rose at mind body, she said there was an "opt out" email sent and when I didnot respond they started charging it and then wet to 9.95 per week. All this to an email address I havent even had for 3 years. Rose said was ony an employee and could only credit back the last 120 day. To which I agreed and said I would be repoting them to my credit card company for the rest. I asked for confirmation of the credit, she asked for my email! I said "ARE YOU NUTS" give me confirmation #, Rose then said 345, ha! needless to say I HAVE NOT recieved a credit. This is illegal and im not getting very far. Please keep posting if anyone gets theirs resolved, tell wat you did.

    Me too...2004 bought a "worthless" CD to help my daughter sleep...charges appeared 2007 monthly and recently weekly...I have traded emails with the company and its president...they seem to have acquired a new batch of credit card numbers from some enterprising pirate...the card that they were charging beginning 2007 was not the card that the 2004 purchase was made with...

    I have also been scammed by these people. My wife purchased a series of CD's in 2005 and then 2 years later they started charging the card for this membership fee of $9.95 per month. My wife never contacted them about any membership, we never received any emails about this service OR any "OPT-IN" or "OPT-OUT" messages. I thought it was something my wife was doing as I knew about those CD's and never thought to question the charges. My big mistake.

    Within the last few months it "converted" to a per WEEK charge. I have submitted to my CC company a full dispute of all the charges though not sure if any of it will get reimbursed. I got hit for over $300.00.

    As I look at the charges on my statement they started to change the name on the statement from "MindBody Series" to "Therapy Hosting" and "MindBody Center". All still show the same phone number to the same company.

    But I also note that the fees mysteriously ended in Nov, 08 and I have not seen any in the month of Dec, 08. I think people are starting to notice and they had to stop. Had they continued it as a monthly charge they could have easily gotten away with it for a lot longer.

    It is ILLEGAL to automatically opt someone into a membership, without their knowledge, and charge you for it. Any excuse they make stating "they sent you an email... you could opt-out after 30 days..." is inexcusable and bull.

    I tried calling the number but got their VM. And they did not call me back. I did call later in the evening and the call was "rerouted" to some different company and I spoke with a live person. He claimed to be in a different dept but would forward my message as "the phones have been busy all day after they were featured on the Dr Phil show". When he asked about the purpose of my call I only said "it's about the Mindbody series for my wife". His response was, and I quote: "Oh, is this about a credit card bill?" I never said anything about a billing issue. Seems he knows more about what is really going on.

    If you find you have these charges, call your CC company and change your CC number, file a dispute of charges to your CC company with as much documentation as possible, credit card statements, etc. Also file a report with the Better Business Bureau in LA. This company does business as Innovative Professional Solutions, LLC. and is under the company Galilay Entertainment, 6455 Corbin Ave., Woodland Hills, CA 91367 Email: service@mindbodyseries.com

    In the extreme case you could file a report with your local police dept. They in turn would contact the LA police dept and their consumer crimes division. Note that if your CC company reimburses you in FULL then you no longer have any legal recourse against this company. Your CC company then will have rights to take legal action against the company if it cannot collect.

    Finally, you will note that their website it shows a pic of Dr. Phil endorsing this product. Well I hear that Dr. Phil and the author Dr. Frank Lawlis are buddy, buddy. I do not know what affiliation Dr. Lawlis has with this CA company but I suspect that an email letter barrage to Dr. Phil and/or Dr Frank Lawlis may be in order informing them about this company's questionable practices and it may change their perspective about it. Google Dr Frank Lawlis to find his site and contact info.

    I have had problems with them not providing the product that they stated that they would and then not honouring their 60-day money back guarantee.
    The product I purchased was a down load product because the CD option to Australia was not an option at that time. The download was fine but the advertised support and access to the mind body plan member area as advertised in the purchased product was never provided.
    I see now they changed the web site so it is worded differently but I would never trust them again.
    Even though Gregory Palumbo advised that, they would refund my money it has never happened.
    I would suggest to people to never deal with them they are sharks and will take you for all they can.

    I have had the absolute opposite experience. I found the company to go far beyond the call of duty - in response to my questions, I've been provided with tremendous care, and have been even gifted free products. Their online Wellness Center is fantastic because I received my products immediately and was able to use them right away. I literally owe this company my life. I was just googling and ran into this board, and wanted to let you all know that although there may have been problems at one time, these are the most caring people I've ever ran accross in a business. Send them an email and you'll see yourself.

    For customer like me that paid hundres of dollars for these tapes, now we can't ;isten to them, as all links related to this Mid & body company are not working, useless. what this says of the business integrity? I want to be able to listen for what I paid.

    I have reached out to you regarding an order that my daughter placed several times, via the website comment submission option. I have yet had an success nor response. Several months ago, my 16 year old daughter seen a show on relaxation / anxiety on dr phil and wanted to purchase this aid for me.

    She thought it was a cd - per dr phil (For relaxation due to my chemotherapy / cancer) show "she googled". . . He showed an cd. I have reached out to you and no response or success and you continue to draft. : - (

    We have not used the thing you have been emailing for thats not what we wanted, not to mention that we dont have a means to activate / use it. . Only a home computer. I am dealing with a series medical issue / cancer and was just released from hospital.


    I am a single parent with 3 children on a very limited budget / fixed income due to my inability to work. I can provide all documentation of such medical and income and again i assure you that your email access that you send for that download is not being used.


    I call the number as listed and it is always busy.
