So, I had a problem with my sink and two shower drains. I was looking for a solution and found Mike Diamond Services. They advertised a $99 per drain service fee, which sounded reasonable to me. I decided to give it a try and called them.

The technician arrived on time and was very friendly. His name was Leo, and he seemed to know what he was doing. He inspected the drains and suggested a water jet treatment to the line, which would cost an additional $400. I agreed to it since I wanted to get the problem fixed as soon as possible.

However, one of the shower lines was still not moving, and Leo had to use a snake to clear it out. He charged me another $99 for that, which I thought was a bit too much for just 30 seconds of work. At the end of the service, he tried to sell me some enzyme crystals for maintenance, which were another $99. I refused to buy them since I felt like I had already spent enough money on the service.

Overall, Leo was great and very knowledgeable. He did a good job fixing the drains, but I was not happy with the additional charges. I think it's important for companies to be transparent about their pricing and not gouge customers. I don't think I will be calling Mike Diamond Services again, but I would recommend them to others if they are okay with the upselling and additional charges.

I gotta say, I used to be a fan of Mike Diamond Plumbing. They did some good work for me in the past, but I gotta tell ya, my recent experience has left me feeling pretty sour. My Mom needed a new water heater, and we called up Mike Diamond to get a quote. They told us it would cost $3,227.00 plus $273.00 for the permit. That's a pretty steep price, if you ask me, but we went ahead and paid a 10% down payment of $323.00 in cash and $273.00 on a credit card for the permit.

Then came the real kicker. The tech they sent out to install the water heater was two days late! That's two days without hot water, folks. Not cool. And when he finally did show up, he tried to collect an extra $227.00 on top of the $3,000.00 we had already agreed to pay. I mean, come on. That's just shady.

I'm not one to complain, but I really feel like we got taken advantage of here. The price was too high, the installation was delayed, and they tried to squeeze more money out of us at the last minute. I'm sorry to say it, but I won't be doing business with Mike Diamond Plumbing again.

Called their Customer Service phone number to schedule an appointment. Appointment was scheduled with a window from 8:00am - 1:00pm. I called the center on the day of the appointment to verify as there was no show or courtesy call. I finally received a call back and they told me it would be at least a few more hours so I had to cancel. I believe a 5 hour window is plenty of time and if you are running late, give the customer a call. I was told they would make me a priority the following day and would definitely be there before 11:00am and call an hour prior showing up. On 8/29, I received no call. I called the Customer Service Center once again to ask if anyone was going to show up. The rep passed me on to her manager - Greg. Greg stated once again they are running late and it would be later on that day. Once again, no courtesy call...I canceled the appointment as Greg had no care in the world that I have already wasted hours of my time waiting for service. I guess this company does not care about their customers. Not a single worry from this group.

I was told the cost of pulling the toilet from it's seat was $350.00 extra. I agreed to that because the drain needed to be draining. After the job was complete I was told if I pay cash the job would be cheaper. I was given the option to pay with 2 checks due to the fact that I had no cash on me, 1 check for Mike Diamond, and 1 check to the tech doing the job. I informed the tech that I would write 1 check for the job payable to Mike Diamond. The date this happened was today 03/23/2016. I don't have the client number but the contract receipt he gave me is 2300384. The name on his shirt was Gabriel.
The total cost to me was $449.00. The job took one hour 25 minutes from start to the time the tech drove off. I thought your company should know that you could be loosing money with people like this working for you. I'm asking you to review my bill and if you see fit to refund anything that's up to you. Thank you for looking into this please let me know the outcome.

They came to my parents house because they needed their washing machine drain snaked. My Mom trusted them because they have an ad on the radio. Long story short, a $99 job turned into $2, 200! My parents couldn't afford that amount so the "Supervisor" pressured them into opening a credit account to pay for it. They did replace some pvc pipes that cost about $8-$10, they charged them $700 and $800 to replace those pipes. Their excuse for such outrageous prices? "Those are OUR prices". They don't care. On their webpage it says that Mike Diamond cares about his customers. BS! They also charged my parents for jetting that was never done. They claim to have been at my parents house all day for two days. More lies! We are fighting them on this and our experience with their customer service rep and regional manager is sickening. They were both rude and unprofessional. I can't believe this Company is still in business!

I scheduled a bathroom faucet repair for my aunt. My aunt is 94 yrs old and is careful with her money. When the Smell Good Plumber got there he suggested a new faucet since this was the original faucet from the 80's. He went to his truck to see if my aunt could get a discount and gave us the estimate of $1165.90 which included a faucet $726.58 and the pop-up for $334.37. I almost fell over. My father just had his kitchen faucet replaced for $250 including faucet, pipes and labor. I told Smell Good she could not afford $1165.90 faucet and I went to Home Depot that night bought a nice faucet for $125 and a pop-up for $25. My husband took off work and installed it for her.
Mike Diamond does take advantage of poor little old ladies that don't know any better and are stuck when a household problem arises.
I would never call Mike Diamond and his Smell Good Plumbers, they smell FISHY.

Our water heater was leaking, needed a new one installed. Our water heater is located in the basement, so a special heater with a fan for ventilating was needed. The price was ludicrous, but we had to move quickly because I had company, water in the basement, etc. The serviceman quoted a price of $4500 for the "special" water heater. He also did not give us a breakdown of costs: labor, water heater price, etc. He just gave us a blanket price of $8500! When the water heater came, I asked him the model number of the water heater and I looked it up on the internet -- Only $1700 for the cost of the unit! Then he started back pedaling and said he could probably save us on the installation and reduce the price! He ended up cutting the cost by $1, 000. What a dishonest company. Rip off all the way!

Hired the plumbing company Mike Diamond to fix a back up problem in our main pipe in out mobile home. He came and I was thinking that they would hook up main pipe to another pipe that would drain the sewage in to a tanker for health and safety of my family (3 children under the age of 5 yrs). NO they didn't do that, they just let all that raw sewage drain all over our driveway, around our faucet by the hose, and under our mobile home! He left the mess and left me and my family and our health in a very dirty unsafe situation! I call to complain, but was just pushed aside as our health and safety of my children doesn't matter! Now in order to get it clean we need $2, 000 + to have under our home and around our home clean and safe again, but we are an extremely low income family and can't afford to pay that! So what are we to do! Thanks for nothing Mike Diamond and I will NOT be recommending you to anyone EVER! And if we get sick I'll see you in court! attach pictures taken outside 5 hrs later and no pictures of under home yet!

Call him for a main line stoppage...told it would be 99.00. The guy arrived, complained that he needed to be a foot from the pipe, (he was 2 feet away) and a bush was "in the way"...all this would mean was extra charges...Nothing was said on website about needing to be 1 foot away, or about bushes. Pipe is completely accessible and has been acessed many time without problem...This was a rip off for more money. Did not happen, as hubby told him no way was he paying for BS charges. Called someone else...no problem.

My shower was backed up. The tech. said he couldn't get the snake past the original "saxophone" style trap and told my wife that it needed to be replaced with another trap that the snake could fit through. This would cost $800. I have three problems with this... since investigating the problem myself. 1. There is an access port under my raised foundation house, which would have allowed access without making the bend. 2. The sink is connected and access could have been gained easily from there as well 3. I made it past the trap in the shower on my first attempt with a $30 drill powered snake from Lowes. I will never call these scam artists again!

After hearing Mike Diamond Plumbing commercials all the time, on Sunday we called them regarding a main that needed to be snaked. They promised to be out in 45 minutes and now, low and behold (3 hours later) they say they cannot get a tech out until tomorrow morning. It's only 3:15pm and they are supposidly open 7 days a week, 7am-7pm and they cannot get someone out here after promising 45 minutes 3 hours ago? My husband said to cancel the order and the woman was a complete witch to him and was as rude as she could be. We cannot even flush a toilet... How can we wait until tomorrow? They are a shady company who is big on false advertising and I suggest you stay as far away from them as you can!

I recommended Mike Diamond Plumbing to one of my customers. (I'm a handyman, but I do not clear drains). This is the second time I recommended Mike Diamond to this same customer. The first time the drained was cleared, and the plumber charged the basic rate. this second time, however, the "plumber" (that was sent out from George Brazil Plumbing) ignored the reason for the call and began looking for things to repair, even going so far as to wet his hand to demonstrate non-existant leaks. The original problem was that the toilets backed up on the first floor indicating a main line sewer stoppage. As it turns out, the stoppage was transitory and no other leaks were evident then or since. But, it would not have been a bad idea to run a snake through the main line to be sure the blackage was completely gone and have the drain examined by a sewer cam to check for any breakage. Neither of these simple tasks was performed, and my customer was cheated out of $76.00. Mike Diamond will not discuss this matter with me citing privacy concerns, even though I know: the customers name; his address; his telephone number; the work order number; and the details of the visit. What could they be protecting except their own incompetence? I will never be recommending Mike Diamond or George Brazil to my customers and be warned by my complaint.

Water Heater Stopped Working. Pilot light wound not stay lit. Happened at 7pm on a Sat. Night, during a Party. Called George Brazil Plumbing on a referral from a family member.. Mike Diamond Showed up.. Apparently one bought the other, etc.

Min charge was 150 just to show up. Could not keep the pilot lit.. Said to Replace the entire unit or just replace the Thermostat/Gas Valve.

Went back to his truck for what seemed like 30 min.. came back with 903 to fix the termostat, , or 3200 to replace the entire unit! He had the thermostat in the truck too.

Went to Lowes, bought the exact same part for 62 bucks.. Paid a plumber 100 bucks to install it the next day. Took the guy 15 minutes.

I calculate the Mike Diamond quote at 841 dollars for a 15 min job.. or 3364 an hour. These guys are Rip off artists.

I dont mind paying someone to do a job, especially at 10pm on a Sat night.. But really? I would have paid double for the part, and the 150 service charge easily to get it done. about 300 bucks ... But to charge TRIPLE because its kind of an emergency is highway robbery. These guys should be investigated for
overcharging. If i were an elderly person and didnt know better, , i would have paid it and been done...

Bad business practice mike diamond and george brazil! i have reported you to the BBB, AARP and to local newspapers. Nice to try and kick a guy when hes down.

I called "mike diamond" to have a toilet repaired. The first time I called was the day I wanted service. I filled in the information on the web site and waited for a return call. None came. Two days later I called for an appointment. I knew exactly what I needed to repair the toilet. The "ball/###" is the insides of the toilet that holds then releases the water. Cost at a hardware store is between 30 and 70 dollars.

The first indication I had of a potential problem is when the operator told me the plumber would be out to "diagosis the problem." I told her it did not need a diagnostic evaluation. I knew what it needed. So the plumber comes out, on time and smelling good, but that's about all. He quotes me $565.00 to repair the toilet or $1, 200 to replace it. Mind you this is a $200.00 toilet at home depot and does not need replacing.

In addition he now wants $76.00 for the "service call." At that point I tell him where to put his service call. I call my local plumber who charges me $165.00 and comes out on the weekend.

It appears that "mike diamond" is nothing but a referal service to plumbers willing to operate under that trade name. They dramatically overcharge and are a compete rip off. I should have known that anyone who spends as much money advertising as they do has to charge more for the service but triple the cost is rediculous.

Mike Diamond Plumbing took advantage of my elderly mother and charged her over $1, 000 to install a toilet, which should have been $150 at the most. This was all installation, does not include the cost of the toilet itself. They obviously have a practice of preying on elderly or ill people who know nothing about plumbing and overcharging them. I have just started the process for a refund and will update if I receive any response but I'm sure this will come down to small claims court.

I call knowing a need a thermal couple for my water heater. They are like, "yea, our guys carry lots of parts", so they come out and say "we don't carry that part", "that will be $75 for coming out" REALLY! I knew what I needed and they charge $75 for coming out and telling me what I already know. What a RIP OFF!

My shower drain was blocked. I new their name from radio advertising. Their advertising is all about the smell good plumber, but their work smell like they are out there to rip you off. They showed up and clean my shower drain in the 2nd floor and they broke the drain pip and ruined my ceiling on the first floor and my furniture. They said it will cost $1100 to fix the drain pipe but, since we cause the leak will are willing to charge you only $770.00. They broke the drain pip and didn't want to fix it, I talk to a person at their main office his name was Amir he said do what ever you want to do we have lawyers. I had someone else fix the drain pip for $75.00. Now it's going to cost me good amount of money to fix the ceiling and furniture. Don't trust these people they smell like CROOKES.
