Microsoft service

On the 24th of May I was informed that my I no longer had access to my Hotmail account as I had violated the Terms of Use - please...I wouldn't evenknow how! I was instructed to click on an online link and complete the form and the matter will be investigated. Small problem - there is no such link! When you then go directly to the Windows Live help page you are instructed to send an error message to [protected]@hotmail.com and the abuse team will deal with the matter. 24 hours later you receive a very nice automated reply and that's it... Nothing happens. When I enquired again I was told a)there is a backlog, I should wait and b)I should send another error message to the abuse team. This has now been going on for 6 weeks. I have no access to my e-mail. IT seems to also be a problem for a lot of other hotmail users as some have been waiting for 6 months. I mean really - we use these e-mail accounts for work. Some people have already lost a lot of money, clients etc. And still Microsoft is not providing any service. Does a company the size of Microsoft honestly not have the manpower to sort out matters that are this serious. Perhaps they should stop adding fnacy little nice thingies to the msn homepage and concentrate on providing us with some basic service.

Since 2010 when hotmail locked me out of my main email account they have charged 14.99 pounds EVERY YEAR. It is despicable they lock people out of their own email accounts but scandalous that they then continue to charge 90pounds for this "service".

I have had my hot mail account for many years and enjoyed it til now.Now when I sign into it is trying to force me into changing my password. If I wanted to change my password I would but its not giving me the option its just telling to. Now day's I'm just getting tired of being told what to do. After all as an adult should I not be able to make that decision for myself ! I very frustrated with this situation.

Why do I get emails that arnt even addressed to me, this is a real odd, and kind of disturbing, if I'm getting emails that are not mine then I can think that maybe my emails may not be getting to me.
The emails don't even have my name, they have totally a different name(To frankjesali@hotmail.com) thats not me, maybe someone has found a way to screw with the email system.

My wife’s hotmail account was hijacked several days ago. If you expect Microsoft to help get your hijacked hotmail account back via their Recovery Center, you are wasting your time. My advice is to dump your hotmail account. I gave M$ everything piece of information I have that might help recover the account to no avail. I even offered to use my credit card to purchase the paid version of hotmail for MY hotmail account to prove who I am. I told them that I am an MSDN subscriber and even sent them an email from my work email address, and much more, but M$ would not help me. I bet if I was Bill Gates, I would get the account back. In summary, M$ service sucks.

Microsoft red ring

My xbox got the red rings about a year after purchase. I took out the extra warranty so I was able to return it to them without paying but they sent me back a refurbished unit which wouldn't turn on at all. Well to make a long story short, I've sent back 4 Xboxes in 1 yr. Each time they sent me a refurbished one and the red ring came back within days. I called and supposedly spoke to a supervisor and told her I do not want refurbished units anymore and to send me a new one. She said they can't send me a new one until I returned the unit over 4x. Well, the 4th unit did not work and now they will not replace it.

Bill Gates should be made aware that this is a piece of crap. If you want to send a petition, count me in!

Red ring for me too. after alot of online research best i can tell, microsoft knowingly put out millions of units they knew to have faulty and shoddy soldering and with a heat cooling system they knew to be inadequate - in order to beat sony and nintendo to market with the 1st second-gen console. then they refused to acknowledge it until they got so many complaints and so much bad press that they had to admit there is a problem and begrudgingly fix the units. they do seem to like to drag their feet about the fixing and there are many additional complaints about their techs doing poor work and the units just breaking again. microsoft really does ruin everything they touch. between my 360 and windows vista bill gates has made my technology life rather miserable the past couple of years.

Microsoft cannot get them to cancel!

This is the scam of all scams done by, you said it; MICROSOFT.
They get these kids to create "gamer tags"...of which, often many are created.
So, not only do you see the fee for 1 account on your credit card...you see several.

So, the kids DELETE their profile, removing the credit card information. But, SURPRISE...you still get billed.
You have TO CALL them and do it over the phone. The problem with this is that you get a representative in INDIA who barely speaks ENGLISH. They ask you about 10 questions...and if you are unable to get one of them right, THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. My son created an account ages ago, has been trying to cancel it for months. Finally, today, I had had enough and got on the phone. I don't know his gamer-tag (he forgets it), I don't even know what phone number he provided. We have had several cel phone numbers since he got the account. So, answering the following questions isn't enough: VISA NUMBER, VISA CARD HOLDER NAME, BILLING ADDRESS - hmm, sounds like it should be enough to me. So, the representative in INDIA told me that the only thing left to do was to call VISA and have them stop the payments from their end. That is absolutely ridiculous. Come on MICROSOFT. Get your act together. Hire some North Americans (yes, this is a recession) and figure this out. I am sure that I am not the only parent out there with this issue. (I have had 4 accounts being billed to my credit cards...)
I support Microsoft in many ways. I have paid them a lot of money in the past - I own a private school with 40 windows licenses...microsoft office licenses...and now, this? They won't stop a $10.16 recurring charge on my credit card? COME ON!

After becoming increasingly frustrated with Microsoft, wife googled "complaints with microsoft" and found this site. She read the above post and all I could say is "Did I write that?" MS puts up roadblock after roadblock to prevent cancellations and will not refund you any money even though they are fraudulently charging my minor child's cubit card. Hopefully my bank will support me through the dispute process but . . . . . it's MicroSoft! I will report to BBB as other posters recommend.

I had similar problems with billing. We signed up for one year and got charged for a renewal the following year. I called to cancel this since I didn't agree to renewals and get a refund and they told me I had to cancel within 30 days of the "renewal date" to get a refund. The problem is Microsoft didn't bill my credit card for 25 days after the "renewal date" so I didn't see the charge until after the 30 days. Now I am working with my credit card company to stop the payments to Microsoft.

To sign up for the X-Box Live account was SUPER-Simple and easy. When I decided to cancel out;
phone line waits were up to 15 minutes WITH NO RESPONSE.
Attempts to contact per web-site ALWAYS forwarded to the gamer web-site where options were for ADDING more games and increase billing.
Angry e-mails got response of "please be patient with our phone representatives". Subsequent calls got no results. the 15 minute wait was on one of these later calls. Tried the long-distance # instead of the 800 #- EXACT SAME RESULTS.
Next step will be to get my credit card to block further billing. This will likely require a fee!?!?!

Microsoft sucks. If you want to sign up for Xbox, it is like falling out of bed. So easy! But when you want to cancel your subscription--good luck. You cancel and then the charges start up again, sometime months later. I don't know that MS has set it up to defaud, but in effect it does that. To get the account canceled and the credit card info removed from their system, you have to speak with 4 layers of people. If you have multiple gamer tags, it gets worse, like the guy said above. I finally called Discover to cancel my credit card (solely to get rid of the MS charges) and the Discover card rep talked me into doing a 3-way call with him. It wasn't any better, but having him on the line gave me some moral support to put up with all the scripted help. My son is forbidden from ever using a credit card for any Microsoft service again.

My experience exactly mirrors the experience of the guy from Canada above. Exactly. 4 gamer tags, not knowing the answer to one or two of the 10 questions, months trying to get it resolved, etc. etc. When I get my next charge, I am calling the BBB as well.

They wouldn't even cancel the credit card today because I had a charge that was scheduled to be billed in 5 days from now to the credit card. It was 2 days past the official cancellation notification date. I told them that they should give me the 2 days for free because I had not used the account for months and had spent months trying to get this resolved. The rep said he would if he could, but he has no authority to do that.

I have numerous businesses as well--probably 20 microsoft windows licenses, MS Exchange, Small Business Server, MS Office, Project, etc. My view of MS has seriously dimmed. I'll go check out OpenOffice and Firefox for a start at some MS alternatives.

My advice: if you have to sign up for Xbox live, do it with a prepaid card. Do not give them your credit card. -jb

We fought with their Customer Service for over 3 months. We had a 12 + 1 month subscription and they kept charging the credit card on the account instead. Every month the promised to remove the credit card and it wouldn't happen again.

Finally, we submitted a BBB complaint.. it was fixed in 48 hours! The American CS rep that fixed it acknowledged that the regular CS don't even have the tools to handle those type of situations. However, they also refused to put us in contact with anyone that did. A BBB complaint is the only way to go.

Microsoft no freedom of speech on xbox live

After posting somewhat of a complaint about Microsoft's inability to make halfway decent, quality products in my bio on my xbox live account, I've recently received a notice saying that my account is being suspended. My complaint was not harmful to anyone in anyway, it was basically stating the fact that their products are garbage and their warranty is even worse. I bought a microsoft wireless headset for my xbox 360 and after only a few months of use, the battery in the unit stopped receiving a charge. I called to see if maybe I could get a replacement or if I could mail them my unit and them fix it for free...No of course it couldn't be that simple. I was told that their is only a three month warranty on their wireless headsets, and the man, who also could not speak English very well at all, kept saying that their was nothing he could do, and that I needed to pay out of pocket my own money for another unit. Reluctantly I went out and bought another 60$ wireless headset. Not exactly cheap for a piece of garbage unit that would break on me 5 months later. Of course, it being 5 months after, the warranty was already expired. I call back again, and was greeted with another non proper English speaking representative. I guess Microsoft being a billion dollar company can't afford people over in the United States for customer service, they have to save money and have help service lines over in foreign country's so they can save a few dollars. Obviously they need to being only a billion dollar company. But yes, the man repeated the same thing the man from the previous issue said. "I cannot help you sir, you'll have to buy another wireless headset." No, you read correctly, I was supposed to buy another wireless headset after the first two stopped receiving a battery charge. Basically, I wasn't going to buy another headset. After coming to the conclusion that I'd never have another wireless headset, due to the fact that they are made poorly, I decided to let my fellow xbox live acquaintances aware of such a product. I basically stated the issue in fewer sentences and I thought it was perfectly fine to voice my experiences from their company. But forgetting that Microsoft and xbox live are their own fascist countries now, I also forgot that my freedom of speech was taken away as well. They sent me an email stating that people had complained about my bio (my bio stated all of the facts about their faulty product), which is an absolute lie. I am one hundred percent sure, that no one was insulted or hurt emotionally in any way to what was said in my bio. The fact that they did this was because they didn't want the truth about their crappy product being visual to the public. I said nothing, racial, said nothing slanderous of any kind or anything untrue. It was all the truth. Being a loyal customer for so long and being a member of xbox live since the beginning, I am truly infuriated after being suspended from a service I pay for. I also have an account in FFXI online, which is 14.99$ a month and a Netflix account that is 8.99$ a month which are now both inaccessible. Here is the email I received from them...The thank you at the end is a pathetic attempt at humor I might add.

I fully agree. This is an invasion of our right to free speech. How is this allowed? I too was suspended for using language they deemed inappropriate. My motto said "3D TV is Gay". My opinion. Not the most positive of statements, I admit. But last I knew, I was still an American and I have the right to say whatever I want. I have 3 big issues with this. 1. FREEDOM OF SPEECH. 2. You have to physically search out and choose to view a users profile. That's like searching for porn on the internet and then getting offended when you find it. That's just stupid. If you enter text into a field and they don't allow it, why does it even allow you to post it? Shouldn't it say "text not allowed" or something along those lines? Suspending a paying customer? 3. Does Microsoft have so much money, they can just turn away paying customers? I mean really, I've spent 100's of dollars as a member of Xbox Live. On top of those reasons, I too have a Netflix account, which I cannot access now. Also, coincidentally, all my problems started with the Xbox Live rewards program. The rewards program for those that don't know, is a program that offers MS points for completing certain requirements . MS points are essentially money in digital form. Certain rewards incentives are, renewing you Xbox Live Gold account earns 200 points. Joining and using Netflix for the first time earns you 100 points. This is what I did. Joined Netflix. No 100 points? So I sent the Xbox Live rewards folks an email asking why. The first 2 responses where the generic auto responses they send to anyone who has an inquiry. After responding to those with the same question, I received an email from them stating that their records showed that I had already used Netflix in the past, so I didn't count as a new user. Thereby not qualifying for the 100 points. Well, I never had, used or even seen Netflix before. This was my first time using Netflix. I relayed this in an email response to Xbox Live and they said they would look into it. Weeks later, after I had completely forgotten about the issue, Xbox folks responded with the same "our records indicate you have used Netflix before". By this time, I had completely lost all interest and had done some more reading and interacting with the rewards site and decided it was more of an advertisement to prepay for more Xbox Live Gold account. This is the email I sent in return, " hey guys,
I honestly don't remember ever having used or downloaded anything with Netflix before. If I had downloaded the application before, would I have had to download it again? Either way I really don't care any more. I really don't think the rewards program is really worth all the time and effort it takes to get the little rewards offered. I feel it's more just an advertisement to sign up and prepay for more Xbox gold, which I will do but only when I'm ready.
Thanks for taking the time though to try to figure it out.". Oddly enough, the very next morning when I turned on my Xbox, the same as I have done for more than 2 years, suddenly my gamertag was in violation and needed to be changed. Since then my gamertag has been deemed in violation 2 times. Yet when I'm forced to change it, if I type in the same thing with a different spelling, it's already in use? Now my account was suspended for my motto, "3D TV is Gay". The email Xbox sent me looks pretty much exactly the same as the others posted, with the exception that mine specifically stated my motto was the offense. I opened the email at about 10 in the morning on march 7th 2011. It stated "you have been suspended from Xbox Live. You will not be able to sign in to Xbox Live until 3/8/2011. Email with more information has been sent to the Windows Live ID email address for this account".
The problem is, as you can see if you read the email Xbox Live sent informing me of the suspension, (mines the same as the others posted) it states that the info regarding the suspension was sent to my xbox message box. Also it says they have the right to extend the suspension at their discretion without notice. So, of course I turned on my xbox at midnight (pacific time) only to see the message "You have been suspended from Xbox Live. You will not be able to sign in to Xbox Live until 3/8/2011. Email with more information has been sent to the Windows Live ID email address for this account". Same thing happened at 1am and at 2am. Its now 2:30am and I'm just waiting until 3am to try again. I just feel this is a flagrant violation of my freedom of speech. I know as a nobody there is nothing I can do about it. I just hope this will help to inform people reading this that Microsoft and Xbox don't support free speech. And I can only hope that this is not a sign of things to come and that corporations not be allowed to get away with this kind of freedom oppression.

i got suspended for 3 days for my motto saying "screw rage quitters". really? all i am saying is that i dont want to play with someone who is going to quit early on me just because they are losing a match, is that so wrong? i agree, no freedom of speech what so ever.. something should be done about this because it is violating our rights as american citizens. you are right, a service WE pay for. I got suspended on the same day with the exact same email and reason.
I have a pic of my profile pre ban that proves I was in no violations.

Here is what it said:

Motto: Royale with Cheese
Name: Scott
Location: England
Bio: As in biogenesis?

This is the third time I've been banned for the exact same thing within six months. I phoned the helpline, and the staff said this:

"The system is automated, which means if a group of players decide they don't like you after playing you in a match or whatever, they can all file the same complaint against you and you will recieve a ban, it's just how it goes, we can do nothing about it. I suggest changing your gamertag."

I was of course in disbelief after hearing this. This is basically cyberbullying in my eyes.

Here's the email from their automated system:

Microsoft bad performance

I recently downloaded Internet Explorer 8, thinking that everything would be fine. I was mistaken. Since I started using the browser, I have had problems getting to a large number of websites. Everytime I go to one of them, An error message pops up and tells me that it needs to shut down. The browsing speed has slowed to roughly half of what I normally had. I have had the misfortune of having my IP address erased three times. Why can't the pin-heads at Microsoft work ALL of the bugs out of something BEFORE they put it into circulation. If you haven't had the pleasure of trying to use this browser, my advice is to avoid it like the plague. The worst part is that there isn't any way to really send a complaint directly to Microsoft. A pox on Bill Gates.

I agree 1000000000000000000000000%. IE8 is a crap. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE DOWNLOAD IE8. After spending two days with a tech trying to fix all the problems that popped up after installing the 'latest greatest' crappy software that the idiots at MS put out I finally gave up, deleted all traces of IE8 from my system, and installed Firefox. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER download another upgrade from MS. I will NEVER buy another computer that uses MS software. The next time I upgrade I'm switching to Apple.

we have tried several times to cancel automatic charges from our bank account for various gamer tags, my underage child did not understand the messages that the company says appeared on the screen which apparently said we agreed to pay another $7.99 per month, for a new gamer tag, but xbox allowed my child to say "yes" to these charges, without any kind of verification from me, i should have been notified by email each time before xbox created a new account, also, i was given a very hard time when i called xbox, being told that the company could not cancel the accounts, they needed gamer tags, etc, etc, we have complained to better business bureau and the ftc, we want reimbursed

I think this is a fake if this real you dont have to ask the winner to pay for other expenses that is your responsibility whatever the processing fee is needed. We didnt joined this lottery/game we dont even have the effort to join this game/lottery then after receiving the form for payment we have to pay something this is so rudiculous. What is your assurance that the winner will received the price after paying the above mentioned fees?

Stop fooling the Yahoo Subcribers!

Description of dispute: (Use additional sheets if necessary)

My son received x-box 360 for xmas, 08 and I made a 3 month purchase some time in january for x-box live. On or about 3/1/09 he was punished and x-box live was removed for his use, and or there about, I canceled the account with microsoft x-box live, and requested mt pay pal debit card # be removed for the future. The account was to run out/expire on 3/23/09. On 3/29/09 there was a charge to my card in the amount of $21.61 unauthorized by me (My 15 yr old son played x-box live and is a minor and not authorized to use my card without my permission) and an atempt today 5/15/09 for the amount of $13.52. Microsoft x-box live has committed a crime, theft, in my eyes and I should forward this to the attorney general office for investigation. I have spent the better part of 2 hours on the phone with microsoft live in regards to their theft/use of my card, as I am typing this I have been on hold with yet another microsoft agent for 25 minutes thus far. 2 hours of my time/rate of pay 1-1/2 x $40.50 =$124.50 + charge of $21.61 +20% interest ($4.32) =a grand total $150.43 I am requesting that pay-pay get that amount from microsoft x-box live and credit my account with that amount. I feel that this is a reasonable request, and microsoft should honor and pay. I have been disconnected form microsoft 3 times in the last 3 hours thanks, greg chiusano

I am appalled by the response from the reps for microsoft, and the fact that I was lied to is dishonorable.
In is my feeling and knowledge that when an account is closed all records/credit card #s are deleted especially credit cards, so one would think, but not in this case. When I canceled the x-box live account, that my 15 yr old minor son had opened, I was told by the microsoft rep that this account can not be ever used again. Not the case only 6 days later and then again about 1 month later my son was able to use this closed account and my credit card info and make purchases on x-box live and microsoft willingly and wrongfully accepted without ever contacting the card account holder.
I'll wait for a response from yet another microsoft rep... Don't worry I won't hold my breath.
Reference number from microsoft x-box live rep #[protected] I am sure they retained all the info about this complaint, after all if they said it was deleted... That would not be true... They keep everything
Sincerely
Greg chiusano

First of all, if you have to ask yourself if something's a scam, it probably is.
Second, the horrible grammar should be another tip off.
Just ignore this hoax.

There should be some way to STOP these people from falsely telling individuals that they won money. What has been done by Microsoft? They are clearly identifying themselves as Microsoft and MSN. I received an email stating the exact same wording except mine states I won a MILLION us dollars and was from HON:WALTER MURPHY which I have seen in a number of complaints for but his number and email have changed. Isn't it illegal to try to steal others identity. Who can I go to as a victim?

Clark howard to advise other people of this scam by microsoft, no wonder mr. Gates is so rich, ripping off people every day with this type of sad sick scam,

Microsoft shame on you microsof

I recently purchased an XBox Live Gold membership for my son at a cost of $99 and spent $100 for a wireless adapter all as a present for my son.

When he attempted to activate his membership he inadvertently typed his birthdate incorrectly. As a result he is unable to log onto any of the games of his choice despite their rating.

The next day I attempted to contact XBOX Live customer support only to find out they were closed.

The following business day I attempted to contact them again. This is where the real fun begins. I explained what happened and that I needed either to:

1) fix the account so that my son can play some games or
2) transfer my membership to a new gamertag so that we can set it up properly to play the games online that he has been playing or
3) refund the subscription so that we can purchase a new one

I spoke with John, Chris, Richard, Mariam, Ben, Alfred, (none of these folks were actually in the United States and there was a substantial language barrier) Tiffany and many others. All of them apologized profusely, but explain that there was absolutely nothing they could do to help us. We tried for 8 frustrating hours to get this resolved to no avail. It is unbelievable to me that Microsoft, one of the largest companies in the world, is either not competent enough to solve this issue or cares so little for it's customer that they choose not to. Either way, I am in the process of selling the Xbox and all games and accessories so that I can buy my son a PS3. And as much as I love Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint etc…I am absolutely looking into alternatives.

How sad. Shame on you Microsoft.

I know this is a rather old complaint; but I'd just like to add that Microsoft has no right to limit the content available to people, as that is the responsibility of the parents. Their doing so is illegal, as they are to offer the same service to anyone, child or not.

I hope you got this settled :).

Cheers.

My boyfriend had a problem with his Xbox with a setting for a game. Suffice it to say after he spoke to three people (non of them in the IUS I'm sure) none of whom had ever touched an Xbox they kept telling him his Xbox had to be fixed or it was the disk, which it clearly was not. His friend came over to our house and was able to fix it in about 5 minutes flat. I would recommend either speaking with someone who has an Xbox, even one of your son's friends, or maybe going into a Best Buy or a store that sells the Xbox and seeing if anyone there knows how to fix it. Microsoft customer service is horrible!

Microsoft customer support

I called X-Box so called customer support to get a repair for my console and was told that I needed to have the power supply available to troubleshoot it. I had already gone through the steps with another rep past and I said, no, I know what I need, I just need this fixed. I told her furthermore that I had already been through the whole troubleshooting page on Xbox.com and she still refused. I then asked to be escalated to a supervisor. The supervisor was even worse and she tried to treat me like a little child with her tone of voice, like I was stupid and she was smart. This really infuriated me but I kept myself very collected and told her that I'd already been over this like 1000 times with the service rep. Guess what she said next?!? She said, sir I read the notes I don't think its been 1000 yet. She was being a smartass and this sent me over the edge, I asked her one more time to help me and she said that she would not help me get my xbox repaired and now there are notes on my name. I hung up on her. That was the worst customer service experience I've ever had from someone who considers themselves to be a supervisor-level employee. I've never wanted someone to be written-up more than this lady. I wish there was some way to let the person whom she reports to know how she is to customers. Don't buy X-Box because if you ever need assistance you'll only find grief!

When playing guitar hero 3 legends of rock fo xbox 360 my console scratched the disc. the disc is now unreadable and i have contacted the retailer who said it is microsoft or your responsibility to replace the broken product. i have tried microsoft who claim no responsibility and were most unhelpful. they say it is your responsibility to replace the damaged item. i hope you will be more helpfull than them.
looking forward to a positive solution to my problem.

So when xbox first came out i was excited and over joyed when i was one of the first to get one. then being in grade 8 and now being in my first year of college i have realized just how bad the issues of xbox have become. I have been playing xbox for many years and after the issue with the red rings i had sent it in and after some time was given a new one. this has happened twice with the red rings and when got my third xbox the red ring issue was seen as to b fixed.

But my issue comes after that when this newly fixed xbox that cant get the red ring of death became to have a different malfunction. It had begun to scratch all of my games ( guitar hero 2, guitar hero 3, halo 3, call of duty modernwarefare 1 and 2, gears of war, halo 3, turok and a few others) and that was when i finally decided to maybe not play it any more and get a ps3. I gave my friends my games to borrow but then the games that were unreadable were able to work on their xbox but just not mine.. and the odd time my xbox would make a louder grinding sound and leave marks and crack the inner circular parts of my disks..

the 2 year warranty i had on my xbox had run out and i was told that microsoft doesnt care about the consumers to fix these issues as long as they got money.. But i am not looking for money back or new games if i sent in all the ones it has made disk scratches around, but i was wondering what the answers are behind sending it in and getting it fixed. i had spent over 2000$ or more on microsoft being broken controllers or new games and headsets to be ripped off as much as this.

I have been playing xbox live for some time now.. and most games dont give you the chance to plug because there is no reason.. but NBA live does.. i dont know how many times ive been winning a game late in the 4 n lose the connection.. after everything workin fine before then.. or with 8 sec.s left the other player pause n "lose connection" . it makes it so i dont even want to play.. whats the sense if u can plug.. they should either lose the game.. or some type of rating be by their name to show if they plug.. whether its on purpose or not.. because who wants to play someone that is going to plug if they lose.. or usually have a bad connection?

Called XBox abt 2 months ago and told them to delete my credit card number from their records so I could not be charged anymore
for Xbox, of course they did not...this months bill I got today, has 4 (19.99) monthly charges on it plus $l44.22 in additional charges for games or whatever...this is totally crazy...I have had to completely cancel this credit card because of XBOX...why can't you just do as you are asked?

Xbox live is a nightmare. Consumers beware. My son had his xbox live account hacked 3 times last year. I have spent numerous hours on the phone with xbox several times this and last year. Xbox would not give me any helpful information to resolve these issues. Xbox says, "We will look into that' here is a number you can call next week." My son was banned from his x box live account for life today. He is 12 years old. I am really not sure why and that really isn't the point. The point is... when I again tried to contact someone at xbox it was impossible. XBOX if your going to ban someone especially a child maybe you should contact the parents. Everyone in my family owns an xbox 360 including my parents. Between all of us we are talking about 8 xbox 360 systems and we are all gold members. It's really sad that there is not a contact number for parents to call and talk to someone at xbox who cares about the future.
