Microsoft windows 10 home version

We have developed a program and hardware that county board rooms use to vote on items with a yes or no. We have been using windows 7 computers with the ability to turn off all automatic updates and has been working flawlessly. We have migrated to windows 10 home versions which do not have the ability to turn off automatic updates. The problem is the computer decides to update at an undesirable time which usually slows the computer down when 30 or more people are trying to vote. 30 people can get angry. We need a way to turn off all updates. We need a way to turn off all updates. We need a way to turn off all updates. We need a way to turn off all updates. We need a way to turn off all updates. We need a way to turn off all updates.

Thanks
Allen

Microsoft customer service

I have the Sculpt ergonomic keyboard surface edition (#1559) and I have lost the usb fob for it. When I called about it and asked to speak to a supervisor after scripted answers, I was told "He won't be in until tomorrow" Calling the next day I was told "He's in a meeting" so I called back a third time to be told "He is out for a long lunch" I have trouble believing that a company as large as you has only one supervisor and that he is always gone or busy. This seems to indicate that you do not care about the end user consumer.

I first spoke to vivek anand and he did this malware cookie check (which I didn't ask for). once he found out that I had no service agreement for my computer (which I never needed). he transferred me to the supervisor an [censored] by the name of manish ahuya or ahiya. he then (based on the security check which tied up my computer and business phone for almost 30 mins) tried to sell me a service agreement, for $249 for two yrs or $149 for one yr or $79 for 1 week! something I didn't ask for in the initial call. I only wanted to have my new service activation no. transferred over to my old account so that I could use those files. after an hour on the phone with these [censored], he says he couldn't help me and hung up the phone. never addressing the reason I called. he actually lied and said that I wouldn't be able to run windows office without the service contract. thank god I read my service agreement and knew that it included the support.

Not only was my service issue not paid attention to, but they wasted an hour of my time. I cursed them like the stole something from me (which they deserved and tried to do). I was very disgusted!

Then I spoke to (an american) kim rollon (no. ceb_kirol). she was very understanding, making sure that she listened carefully to me despite the fact that I was agitated and very upset. she addressed the issue, apologizing for what I went through (with those [censored] from india) and before I knew it the files were merged and I was able to get done what I had first intended almost 2 hours before. I would like to commend this young lady because, without her I would have canceled the membership (you guys have too much competition with free sites that do pretty much the same things) and posted my experience on your customer reviews (which I will probably do anyway) but also to everyone I know on the internet (facebook and all of my business contacts). she was outstanding!

I would also like to say that i've run phone rooms for at&t and verizon services and understand the importance of sticking to a script. it is appalling that a company as well regarded as microsoft would align themselves with such a rag tag outfit as those guys from india! scandolous!

Finally, I called the corporate office on fri. (because kim followed up with me and gave me the no. to formally make my complaint) and was on hold for 30 minutes before I hung up. how does microsoft allow this type of pisspoor service?

Thank god for employees like kim!

Microsoft xbox one

On the 17dec 2017 I entered my credit card details into my sons Xbox to purchase $100 credit for part Xmas present. Once purchased I removed my details from Xbox so no further transactions could be made. Over the next 8 weeks numerous charges were made to my credit card by my son entering a promo code to get games for free, but they weren't free, they were charged to my deleted credit card without my authority the amount of these unauthorised charges adds up to the amount of $1039. My bank was contacted and refunded the money to me, and then 3 weeks later Microsoft disputed the charges and re charged my deleted credit card again without my authority! I have been in contact via phone and online with numerous consultants to be told every time they money would be refunded please can someone advise me on how to proceed this is slot of money that I can't afford to lose

Microsoft hotmail

I traveled to Florida from New York to visit with my family. I have been unable to access my emails although I have entered my email address and password correctly. Instead I'm given an error message that I'm at "different location". This is ridiculous and I would think unlawful, keeping me from my personal information & emails. Please look into this and correct immediately.

Microsoft surface pro 4

I sent this letter to Microsoft's CEO, Mr. Satya Nadella. And, unlike Jet Blue who responded with a few days when I had a problem a couple of years ago, I have not received any response. I am still waiting a reply.

I am writing in regards to a Surface Pro 4 I purchased on 1/17/16. After only two years of ownership I am very disappointed and angry that after spending almost $2, 000 on the Surface and accessories, they are now useless to me. I have been without a personal computer since 2/5/18 when my screen all of a sudden went black while in use. During the next week I searched your website and online trying to figure out what had happened. On the Microsoft website and several other tech sites, there were about a dozen possible solutions. I tried each one to no avail. At this point, I called the Microsoft support line and they said I would need to bring it to one of the stores. This was done on 2/17/18.
The closest store to me is in San Francisco, and hour and a half from my home. This was not a pleasant experience as the technician was disrespectful and rude with me. He spoke down to me and treated me as if I was unknowledgeable about anything technology wise. When he told me that he was unable to start my computer, he said the only way the problem could be solved was to smash the screen to look at the motherboard, but that Microsoft does not do that and won't fix it. He then continued to tell me he could sell me a refurbished Surface Pro 4. If he can sell me a refurbished one, then it should be possible to open mine and try to fix it since it is also a Surface Pro 4.
The following day, after driving 30 minutes out of my way to have a friend who works on computers take a look at it, he was able to determine that the Surface was getting power and he felt it should be fixed. He suggested I take it to Best Buy and have them send it to the Microsoft Service Center for me. This was done after driving home to do so at a local Best Buy. I brought it into them on 2/18/18. On 2/23/18, I received an email from Best Buy letting me know the Surface had been shipped. I did not hear anything from them again until 3/2/18, when I received two emails. The first was at about 8 in the morning telling me the computer was being diagnosed to find the problem. The second was at about 1 in the afternoon saying the computer was being shipped back to me. There was no information given to me to tell me if it had been fixed or not. I called Best Buy on 3/3/18 and they said they would look into it. As of 3/7/18, I had not heard anything so I went into the store, where they were able to inform me that Microsoft was returning the computer unfixed.
As of now, I have been without a personal computer for over a month. This has caused quite a disruption as I have had a very difficult time scheduling time to borrow family and friends computers to take care of my personal business, such as paying my bills. After just only two years, and almost $2, 000 spent, it is not acceptable that I have to go longer without one because, since Microsoft will not fix my Surface, it and its accessories are useless and I have to research a new computer to purchase, as well as find the funds for it. I expected to have my Surface Pro 4 for at least another three years. Microsoft needs to relook at their ability to fix their products. As a result, I will be looking at other brands to replace my Surface Pro 4.

I do not know if I would have paid for the repairs as I was never given a cost to know if it was worth it to me. I was just told that they would not do so. I was not given a choice about the repairs.

You responded, "I do not know if I would have paid for the repairs as I was never given a cost to know if it was worth it to me. I was just told that they would not do so. I was not given a choice about the repairs."

That is because the cost was higher than you could purchase a new one for. Standard procedure is never to service a product under such conditions.

I'm so sorry to hear of your concerns.

You're correct that any Surface product can be serviced. Knowing the cost of the repair is not under warranty, would you have been willing to pay more for the repair than the unit was worth?

Hi Mr. Magoo. Appreciated reading your concerns.

I was in no way involved with servicing your particular unit, so I can only talk in general. Just as with any electronics device, the Surface family of products can absolutely be serviced however in doing so, they cannot always be serviced cost effectively. The Surface has widely become the leading computer technology within the mobile computer arena. I'd suppose there are those who might believe these units are indestructible, however they are not. When purchasing this system a couple of years ago, you would have been given an option to purchased additional warranty coverage through either Microsoft or the retailer you purchased it from. Whereas this item sounds as if it was extremely important to you and something you did not want to do without, it would have been wise to have it covered longer than the initial one year. As they say, live and learn.

In replacing this unit, you're not likely to find anything that will perform like the Surface and likely be disappointed with anything other than a Surface. A good recommendation is to choose your retailer carefully and purchase extended service coverage through either the retailer or Microsoft on the next one. Hopefully you'll have the funds to do so not long into the future.

Microsoft office 365 update

I received an e-mail telling me that my Office 365 would expire on April 10, 2018. I contacted the renewal site listed in the e-mail. This site required that I renew my subscription with an auto renewal function. I did not want an auto renewal. I contacted the support for renewal and was told that they could renew my subscription with out auto renewal. I told them that I wanted to get Office 365 home for one year. When she did the renewal I noticed that the renewal started on March 11, 2018. At that point I lost contact with the renewal support so I contacted them and got another person. I explained what had gone on and ask that they give me back my month subscription for my existing subscription. She said that she had sent an e-mail that if I followed the instructions I would get my one month back. When I opened the e-mail it said that I could have my stolen month back if I renewed with auto renewal. At that point I contacted Microsoft and canceled the renewal. I still want my stolen month back for my present subscription for Office 365 Personal. I will not use office for the rest of my life, the above took Hours and was very frustrating. The date of all this was 3/10/2018.

Microsoft windows 10 forced update

After weeks of saying, "no", MS forced the recent update to my laptop, but it could not install. This created a loop leading to a blank screen when I turn it on. MS created this problem, told me it would take five days for next level of help to get back to me. Level 1 said they could not help over phone. Case #[protected], March 14, 10:30am EST. I was told to drive an hour to Microsoft store, pay minimum of $50 for data backup, and have win 10 reinstalled with latest updates. Then I was going to have to drive back to store, at an unknown time, to pick up laptop.
I called several experts in the area, and all gave the same MS solution, to backup data and reinstall windows. I am having job done for $130, locally.
For restitution, I am requesting that MS grant me five free years of my MS office personal subscription. I'm sure that just means submitting a code at your end. My account is registered under Joseph Dudiak, [protected] (or [protected]). Email is [protected]@twcny.rr.com.
There's no doubt MS is fully aware of this update problem, and has chosen to delay a fix for some reason. I was declining the update, to allow for a patch to fix the problem. Instead, Microsoft forced the problem on me. I own my computer, and Microsoft highjacked it, forcing me to pay for repairs. I don't see how my request for a complimentary Office subscription is unreasonable, under the circumstances.
I respectfully await your reply.

Motherboard & CPU went bad in my computer. After installing new hardware my Windows 7 Pro won't reactivate & after sitting on hold for more than half hour for a technician I was told I have to buy a new license of Windows 7. He said the license goes with the motherboard and I'll have to buy another one. That is [censor]. You people are such rip off artists.

Microsoft windows 10

After the automatic Update from Windows, my PC began shutting down and rebooting by itself. Sometimes I couldn't shut it down myself and had to kill it. All drivers are up to date. Then I decided to reset the pc. Not even that was possible. Always ended with a bluescreen and a cryly saying: a problem occured, PC must be rebooted. Great - since I need it for business, I had to buy a new one. Who will cover these costs now? The IT specialist even said, he can't do anything anymore. It's really, really annoying. I spent more than 10 hrs trying to fix it. Sometimes there was not even anything readable on the bluescreen, but only lines (look at picture i enclosed). It didn't regocnize my password anymore. The update even destroyed the recovery. There was no way to rescue it somehow.

please answer to my email, for the business email doesn't work anymore: b.[protected]@chinesische-heilkunst.ch
cost of new pc: 640 CHF (asus)

Microsoft 2007 microsoft office

My computers are configure to auto update. Received updates automatically on both computers on 2/14/18 which rendered my ability to click on the MS Office icons null. Before the update, I was able to click on MS Word or MS Excel or another of the MS Office suite 2007, and the program would open to a blank document. Now the icons are gone. I can't find the programs to create new documents.

Also, the updates will not allow you to un-install them.

My 2007 MS Office Suite was legal, bought and paid for - MINE! Just because Microsoft stopped supporting 2007 MS Office does not give them the right to remove MY programs. I'm not asking them for support! MY programs worked just fine! And I want them back.

Microsoft ms office upgrade purchase

I am trying to upgrade my Office 2007 Professional to 365 but, as I live in Japan, I have a problem which cannot be resolved by the Help Desk. I want the product in UK English, not Japanese, so even though my MS account has all my details including address and credit card number when I try to make the purchase the system assumes I am in the UK and will not allow me to enter my Japanese address. If I tell the system that I am in Japan it won't allow me to purchase the product I want (365 Home) but forces me to try and purchase a Japanese version of 365 called Solo which doesn't have the features I need.
Surely it isn't beyond the wit of the system designers to understand that not everybody living in Japan is Japanese? I just want to make a purchase from you and you are preventing me from doing so.

Microsoft extremely poor customer service

I called the company for technical support on 1/7/2018. When the technician could not help, she suggested that I purchase a one month subscription for technical support where a technician could access my computer. I asked if that didn't work, because this is a work computer, she said I could be refunded. The support didn't work and she said she was transferring me to billing. The whole phone call with hold, lasted 2 hours and 36 min. She periodically got on the phone to see if I was still holding. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said someone would call me within the hour. I hung up and no one returned my call. I have disputed the charge with my bank.
I tried calling again yesterday, 1/18/2018, and spoke to someone in billing.
They said I needed to talk to tech support. The guy in tech support said I needed to talk to billing and he would stay on the line with me to figure this out. We were on the phone with a girl in billing named Tash. She said this was a tech issue that they needed to do the refund. We then discovered the tech guy was not on the line anymore.
I gave Tash both my personal account, work account and debit card number and she could not find my purchase. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said there was no one available. I said I would wait. After about 30 min. she came back on the phone and said she spoke to a supervisor and my support was nonrefundable. That call took approximately 1 1/2 hours, still no resolution, no call back from a supervisor. This is the worse customer service I have ever experienced. I am an MIE certified teacher and use your products all the time. This is a huge disappointment to me.
I am requesting a refund plus compensation for my time. (over 3 hours $100.00)
My purchase invoice number is [protected]
Microsoft Case numbers: [protected] and [protected]
Reference numbers : 1/7/2018 [protected]/4468654
1/18/2018 [protected]/[protected]

I have a dispute in with my bank: USAA
Your lack of customer service and inability to speak to someone who can help resolve my issue is completely unacceptable.
Please have someone contact me ASAP at [protected].

Microsoft microsoft outlook

Your Microsoft Outlook server doesn't send emails from my Windows Lumia 640 Phone to the emails I desire. Nor does it do the same for my Microsoft Windows "10" H.P. Laptop Computer. Microsoft lies about a lot of things. Windows is not a good product, despite what some consumers, customers and other users are saying, if it was, then I wouldn't be on this board, right now. I'm going to get "Non-Windows Cellphone, " and "Laptop Alternative [PC'] "I think it's best.

Microsoft missing refund

I returned a laptop I ordered from the online store to one of the retail locations on December 22nd. The employee in the store told me they would send it back to the warehouse and I would receive a refund in 4-5 days. It's now almost been 3 weeks and still no refund. No correspondence from them, the only time I am updates is when I call them to find out where my money is. I have called customer support 8 separate times and the issue has still not been resolved. I have never been so frustrated and unhappy with a company in my entire life. Worst customer service. Will not be giving Microsoft a penny of my money ever again. YOU HAVE THE LAPTOP SO I WOULD LIKE MY REFUND PLEASE AND THANK YOU. Unbelievable...

Microsoft yearly charge for support

I had a weird msg years ago .. someone trying to take over my pc .. Microsoft helped me. They sold me a good virus software and loaded it for me. Each year, Microsoft charged me $140.87, whether I ever called them or not. Since I am chronically I'll and in pain 24x7, I don't call them. This year, I am unable to keep up with hospital bills. I put the charge on my Discover card, which I haven't used or even seen in years, in dispute. If I can't pay my medical bills and don't want to leave my family in debt, I think a charge for non-existent Microsoft services wouldn't be my first priority. I would have canceled the card or the subscription, but I didn't even know where the card was. I'm too sick to read my email. Well, cancel my subscription. You can't get blood out of a dead turnip!

I'm sorry to hear of your health.

I'd recommend, whereas you don't know where the card even is, I'd recommend closing the Discover card account. This website has nothing to do with Microsoft, so you'll still need to contact them directly about the debt.

Microsoft microsoft windows 10

On 1/1/18, microsoft put a system update on my computer. It took hours for this thing to load, rendering my computer unusable. Now, next day, I cant use my computer at all. All I get is a black screen after it does the initial start up.

I didn't want windows 10 loaded in the first place. Microsoft took over my computer early in 2017 for that too. Now, totally ruined my computer. I can't get it to work at all.

How can a company be allowed to get away with that, just take over your computer and make it unusable?. Where are the lawyers and class action lawsuits?

I hate microsoft. I will never use their product again. I guess this the best news for apple. I'm sure microsoft will lose customers in droves. I am now an apple convert. Microsoft, you suck big time.

I love Windows 10. It's a great operating system, but has never been forced onto any system. Once installed, however, it does offer the option of installing updates. You may want to uninstall the latest update, as Windows 10 has a feature for that.

Microsoft windows 10 slow

I have just got a new laptop, already installed with Windows 10. Before this, I had a laptop with it's latest update being Windows 8. I edit videos and work with many applications, and usually with my old laptop, I would use Windows Movie Maker. I am very disappointed with the Windows Photos application. It is slow, hard to work with, and doesn't have nearly as many features that Windows Movie Maker did. I can't even tell if I have my pictures synced, because when I try to preview it, it freezes up on one frame while the audio continues to play. It's a shame.
