£80 delay, £120 insurance and £200 VAT... what country charges that kind of VAT? How stupid are these people - more like lousy vermin preying on the vulnerable...

I received an email notification from one Steve Smith on behalf of the Microsoft Award Team UK to the effect that I'm a lucky winner of 1 000 000 British Pounds and that I must contact Halifaxtelebank.com to arrange for the payment, which I did, to see what happens. Instead of a reply from the bank, I received another (identical) email from "Microsoft Award Team".

Beware people!

Yeah, sure. I won a zillion pounds/euros/dollars. The company uses microsoft as a conspirator but yet has an email address of yahoo.uk.

I guess it cannot buy a more believable email carrier.

This is most assuredly a scam and I would like to think all of the alleged parties involved are aware.

I have recieved this email and now I know it's a spam :

I received a Email that denotes that i had winning 2009 Microsoft mobile Cooperation Brockley, UK winning prize money is 300, 000(THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND U S DOLLARS)and issued a winner's Certificate which shows as Ref Number:[protected], Batch number:[protected]/06, Winning number:w/c00/44, Payment number : QF/007784, FGN-LPRC 188, Certificate number:GNP-LPRC 183067, Date of Issued 24-10-2009 and signed by Dr Anderson Murray, Lotto Co-ordinator, this all dealing by Mr Don Willams, Payment master ms co operation UK, Tel:+[protected] and his Email: ms.aw2000@gmail.com and he also infomed me that my cheque issued and his affiliated diplomat left from London on 25-10-2009 and reached to India on 26-10-2009, and he presented the cheque in RBI, that diplomat contacted me in India and he says that i have to pay processing fee 43, 000 Indian rupees which his said Account number, it is true or fraud please in form me sir, Give me this 2009 Winners list and my is there inform me my Email:shaikabdulr@ymail.com
