Michael Mehringer / late charge
My August payment was due 8/1/09. I set up a payment through my bank on 8/31/09. Obviously my bank and your offices are not open for business on a Saturday to process payments. Consequently my payment arrived in your offices on Monday, August 3, 2009. I was subsequently charge a $39 late payment. I feel that the late payment was unjust and wish it reversed. If a payment is made and cannot obviously be processed due to the weekend a grace period should be extended to the next business day. I don't think payments should be required on a weekend anyway and why is my next payment not due on Sept 1 rather than Sept 4, a Friday? It just seems to smack of corporate greed and seems to be purposely set up to extract more money from the taxpayer the very one whose taxes are paying for bailouts and bonuses.
