Metro by T-Mobile terrible experience

Unlimited Wireless Inc. - MetroPCS is not a company you will want to work for. For one they will won't pay you as well as other wireless stores will. I was hired as a supervisor for there pheasant lane mall location. I found out I was only paid .25 and hour more than a normal employee. But I let that go.

There vice president of the company is a joke. I Worked for a T-Mobile Dealer and was offered a Job at the MetroPCS dealer under the impression that It was going to be so much better. WELL IT WAS NOT. I was fired because $30 went missing from the cash register drawer. For one I wasn't the only employee that was working that day. another I would rather steal family before I even thought about stealing from my work. For example when they issued me one of my paychecks It wasn't even signed and I really needed money that day and they couldn't come to sign the check until the next day, The lady that worked at the booth next to me told me to take the money from my register and I told her I wasn't going to do that because it was wrong. Plus If i even thought about doing that I would have had another job lined up and would cleared out the whole thing. But no the immature VP of the company put me on suspension for 2 days and didn't even inform me that she fired me. I had to text her to get a response.

So now I am a single father without a job. I am struggling to support and feed my daughter. The job market is hard for someone with my type of skills. This lady did not only fire me for the wrong reasons she basically took money away from me and my family. It is people like her that make this world hard to live in.

I encourage people not to buy or work for this company because it will not work out. They are not very understanding and if something goes wrong they will automatically blame you.

I have always had Service with Metro PCS since 2007 I had always loved there service it had been the best company I had been with. But on 6/26/2013 something happened that it made it all Go to hell. I bough the Huawei Premia a total of 223.00 The moment I went into my Apartment I could not get txt calls or anything. I couldn't stand it. The next day I went straight to the Actual Metro PCS they were kind enough to return my number back to my old Freeform and told me they couldn't do anything else for me. So I guess they Lost a Loyal Customer.

trustworthy review?
I would like to begin by saying that if you had simply taken the time and effort to proof-read your diatribe on how you were supposedly treated so unfairly, you may have actually been taken seriously. But the fact that your “report" contained so many grammatical and punctuation errors only reinforces the obviousness that you not only didn't graduate high school, but are retaliating against the company like a 10 year old throwing a temper tantrum.

Despite the fact you posted as “Anonymous" everyone who knows you would instantly recognize your own special lack of intelligent argument. You state that you were fired because money “went missing" from your cart. Yet this is not the first time you've been accused of this. Within the last year you also had to repay money “lost" by you to your previous employer. You also state that you would rather “steal family"…..since when was the subject of kidnapping mentioned? I say that in jest because, again, your inability to speak/write clearly and professionally makes anything you do say, merely a joke. I personally have observed your work ethic. This consists of about a half hour at the cart you are supposedly “supervising" and 45 minutes walking around the mall talking to friends borrowing money and cigarettes. Again had you bothered to be a decent employee maybe this opportunity would not have been taken advantage of to get rid of a sub-par manager.

I have had many occasions to talk to this Vice President, and found her to be an easy to get along with and fair employer. And if she is supposedly so bad, why does the rest of the staff respect her and feel betrayed by your false accusations toward her?

And what of the “single father"? Aren't you the same “father" that lied about your little girl falling down a flight of stairs to your previous employer to get out of a night at work? There are way too many examples of your poor excuse for fatherhood for me to list. As someone with such a history of using your daughter as an excuse or handicap, I feel bad any child should have to grow up with such a pitiful role model.

Lastly why would someone not want to purchase products from this company? You list them on “[redacted]". From my perspective they fired an employee with poor work ethic, a history of lying and someone who “loses" money. You even stated that if you were to steal you would have “cleared out the whole thing", so better to get rid of you over $30 than say…$700. This actually sounds like a company with integrity enough to ensure that their employees are honest. I do not work for this company, and have not done any business with them, but based on this scenario, I would.

Metro by T-Mobile number porting nightmare

Metropcs, sounds oh so great on commercials, not even the unicorn was sure of the services they "suppose" to provide their customers!
I've never had such a bad experience with a cell phone company the way i've been having with metropcs, I switched my my carrier of tmobile to try and conserve money with metro, and to my dvantage winded up paying more money for phones then ever, they ported my number, send my number back and fourth to other carriers, and still till this dark grey day, my number is still being thrown around, in the sky, metro pcs, please just release my number to my official one of a kind tmobile carrier, your services are the worst and eveytime I call the 888 number I get disconnected, how frakin rude? I will not recommend you ever to any1, and that's a promise!
Ps: thanks for nothin,
Bronx, ny

Metro by T-Mobile changed my plan without my permission

Metropcs changed thier plans after I had service for over a year. Upon their changing of their plans they took services from me that were moved to a more expensive plan and told me that if I wanted those services back that I was going to have to pay the higher rate. When I asked to be connected to a supervisor they refused and hung up on me several times. There is no way of contacting any of the upper level managers as the customer service reps (whick suck) will transfer you. When you asked to be transfered they either tell you that there is no way of contacting the upper level managers or they just plainly hang up on you. I have turned them into the fcc for not grand-fathering me into their plan changes and then over charging me for the plan that they put me in after they changed their plans. I would suggest that everyone that is not satified with them that they also talk to the fcc as they will pull their communications license after a certain amount of complaints. Them metropcs will be shut down for good.

But when I went to return the phone..they r not taking it back at all.
There is no good sound quality or network. Even with in LA if u r walking up stairs in a building call drops...Its just horrible.

Metro by T-Mobile flashing fee free month for who

Metro pcs will gladly charge you $45 to reprogram your cdma phone from other carriers to work with their network. They use a third party company that charges less than $5 to consumers for the same data update to the handset. Imagine what metropcs pays per phone at the bulk rate! Pennies? Probably.

Here is the catch, they include a free month of service along with the metro flash fee for new customers only!

I am a current customer, to get my free month, I have to go in, sign up for a new account (free just the flashing fee) get my free month with a new phone number, at the end of the month, call them cancel the new account and have the newly ported phone put back on my old account! Why would they make me do this only to circumvent their silly policy, I do not know! I can always use call forwarding to forward the original number to the new phone account for that 30 day period.

They refuse to give me the free month. The $45 that new customers pay for flashing and free month is the same $45 fee charged to existing customers and no free month! Unacceptable

The good news: I have their direct telephone numbers to executives at the corporate offices in dallas and regional vp's. They know that I am about to post these numbers for the world to have and use as you wish. They have chosen to not do a thing to keep me from posting this. Here it goes: do you have a gripe with metro pcs? Call their chief operating officer, or the ceo at the corporate office in texas. He knows I have the number and I will gladly give it to you. Write me by clicking below on contact author

Hey metro pcs: you were warned and I told you I would do this.

Your post is a joke and a complete waste of my time. You lose out on the free month of service when you pay to Flash your phone because YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR OLD PHONE NUMBER. The cost of keeping your old phone number versus getting a month free with a new number, think about that. And like jbot1 said, which cell company gives you a free month of service when you get a new number ehh? People like you always trying to get around the system makes me sick. You want cell service, get a prepaid card or stfu.

maybe you should write a complaint about every cell phone company that gives free/discounted phones to new customers coming in... Actually lets see any cell phone carrier give any one a free month of service... your complaint is ridiculous... everyone knows if you still have to pay your monthly bill on an existing account... Duh!

Metro by T-Mobile poor customer service

To everyone who's a current metro pcs phone user and you're having a "difficult time" getting through to "real customer service representatives" here's some information just for you.

I want everyone to know this even if you're not currently living in georgia, all cities or states currently have a "regional metro pcs headquarters" location, so look up your own headquarters in your city or state online.

For those metro pcs phone users in the state of georgia or atlanta, here's the current phone number where you can call and speak to real decision makers who can solve any problems you're currently having with your service with metro pcs.

Metro pcs regional headquarters phone number and contact name for georgia:

Contact name: sheree

Contact phone number: [protected]

If anyone here regardless of what city or state you're living in is having a problem finding your regional headquarters info in your own city or state, use the number above to find out what your metro pcs regional headquarters phone number is where you live.

I hope this info above helps you all out, so now you don't have to call that bogus 1-800 number for metro pcs customer service, because the last thing that number gives is customer service.

Metro by T-Mobile theft

Not only does Metro PCS play slick games with their customers in order to scam them out of money, they have terrible customer service and overcharge on a regular basis for international calls. I am constantly dropping calls, and get messages from one to three days late ! Pathetic company to say the least.

Hi Danno, I am a dealer for Metro PCS. I do not work for Metro PCS I am just an authorized dealer who has brought into the franchise. If you keep your plan the same from month to month. Your plan will not change. If you change your plan between months there are going to be some charges even if you went back to a lower rate plan. If you want to lower your bill, do it the day your bill is due. If your late on your bill after seven (7) days request a bill cycle reset. This will change your billing day to the day that you actually paid it so that you can get an entire month service back. Also, if your dropping calls, remember the old saying: "You get what you paid for." If you have a $49, $79, or $99 handset, don't get upset when you go under a bridge and your call drops. I use the Motorola RAZR V3s and I have a small amount of dropped calls.

Go to a Metro PCS store that appreciates you as a customer. Don't go to one that is simply trying to sell you a phone and try to deal with the same dealer if possible to make for better customer service. Have them call the Dealer Support Group. It has happened more often that when customers who are not familiar with the service take matters into their own hands it always turns into a disaster.

My customers love me for my quality service and just the casual conversation and personality I bring to the store. I receive plenty of refererrals from my customers. The only mad customers I get are the ones I never sold a phone to who come in with service problems. When they leave I have gained a new customer as well as a friend.

Metro by T-Mobile fraud and cheating

The ads read 'unlimit yourself' and 'permission to speak freely' - but that has NOT been our experience. We've owned and used mobile phones for many years and have used both cellular and PCS services.

MetroPCS knowingly offers service that is sub-standard in order to sell expensive hardware (handsets and accessories) needed to access their network.

They SAY you can try out their service free for one month, when in fact, you have less than one hour (including incoming and outgoing calls billed in unknown increments) to evaluate their service. If their service were standard, 60 minutes of talk time might be enough to determine if MetroPCS is worth the low-cost of service. Unfortunately, MetroPCS service is so poor that calls are dropped constantly and need to be repeated many times just to have a simple conversation.

They SAY you can talk freely, but what they don't tell you is that once the all-too brief evaluation period ends, you are locked into being billed for services that in many cases do not exist; they will not refund the price paid for handsets or accessories.

They SAY they provide 'the freedom to enjoy flexible wireless calling' when in fact sound quality is horrendous and service is non-existent in many major cities. (We were without service south of San Juan Capistrano to San Diego and east from Upland, north to Las Vegas.) This is a HUGE liability when traveling (especially with children) and certainly limits ones ability to communicate with anyone, much less handle any emergencies.

They SAY they provide 'truly unlimited local and long-distance service' - but that assumes you actually have access to their network.

When, after only 6 frustrating days of dropped calls, no service, and poor sound quality, we attempted to return our phones and accessories and were told that we'd gone over the 60-minute limit. When we insisted this was never explained, the manager of the El Monte CA store, Jesus Vaquerano, refused to listen to us. When we politely asked for his contact information and that of his manager, he asked security to escort us out of the store.

We feel that MetroPCS advertising is mis-leading at best. They lure customers into buying mobile phones that cannot be used and do not stand behind their promises of unlimited talk. We now have over 500.00 of useless hardware and feel we were ripped off!

We would be willing to join a class action suit against MetroPCS.

So some how my high security password has changed. I did not change it. I paid my bill via debit card the automated service tells me that it didn't go through. Yet my debit card stated that I did. I don't know what to do. I called Metro they say I cant get my password unless I go into a metro store. This is very frustrating. So what happens if I go into the store and they give me the password that I DID NOT change! And it fixes nothing!

Guys! Let me tell you something! Each account on mpcs has a pin code and security question, or a high security password, actually every customer makes his own pin code, its frustrating sometimes when people don't understand that! I work for customer service, and trust me, you customers need to be more responsible with your stuff! I mean don't get me wrong, but is frustrating when people (lazy people, by the way) say they never made up a pin code, easy, you can not open an account without a pin code! We can help you but come on! We can't get into your minds to get that info, two days ago a guy called me ( a very rude one) to ask me to move his photos from one phone from another ! I mean, really? How lazy! You customers, need to give us the tools to work together! Why you do not understand that?

I had metro but switched to boost mobile after 2 years with metro, best thing I ever did. wish I had done it sooner. My so called smartphone was not a real smartphone but I was still paying for the $50 smartphone plan, $5 insurance fee, and $3 payment fee. On top of a $400 phone. With boost I got a$200 phone, $50 a month unlimited text, talk, and web deal, minus the three $ surcharge fee. Kick metro out of your life, switch to boost. You will be glad you did.

your all just uselessly complaining because YOU didnt know the return policy, didnt look at a coverage map, or dont want to pay the bill online via credit card. what are we talking about bad handests? do a little research to find out 80% of their phones are accually on other networks as well... if it was an verizon handset would you complain? no, because you paid a 2 year contract and $100 for it. metro is great if you can wrap your head around the way a no contract company works. you get what you pay for.

I totally feel for that family who the security escorted out... Metro managers should be able to solve problems like this! and since they don't... they're losing business, people are trowing their money in the garbage... by purchasing service from metropcs.

I am asked to pay 3.00 extra dollars for 'service fees' when I personally go and pay cash for my monthly service.

If I do it on line, they have the questions messed up between the zip code of your bank account when you opened it, and the zip code of the billing address. Conclusion? you have to use their on line pay service AND pay 2.00 dollars.

If you go to the retail store AND pay in their machine with YOUR ATM, it ALSO asks for 2.00 for making the payment on time?

The staff are useless, rude, and demanding.

The customer service free number, REPEATS whether you want to:

Pay?
Know your balance?

And repeats:
DO you want to pay?
I can help you with that!
Would you like to know your balance?

ANd again (or until you decide to hang up, as there is NOBODY who is going to speak to you, their customer. Nobody.

Same thing with their 611 number.

Would you like to pay?
Would you line to know your balance?
And a mention that MAYBE, just MAYBE you can go to their website and FIGURE YOUR PROBLEM YOURSELF, OR GO TO THE LOCAL OFFICE AND EXPLAIN IT TO THE NICE STAFF MEMBERS OF THE RETAIL STORE.

I asked for the business card of the store manager. That phone rings and rings...
[protected]
Alex Mares is the Assistant Manager

Once, somebody picked it up. and I was told that they CANNOT handle the account over the phone, that I need to contact the customer service numbers:

the 888 etc
and the 611
(where you cannot speak to anyone anyway)

OR THAT I CAN COME TO THEIR OFFICE AND SPEAK TO THEM PERSONALLY>

I do not know about others, but I do not have the time to either

1) pay 2 or 3 extra dollars in punisment of paying on time and in person
(PGE never did that..)

2) go and visit the store, that opens at 11am anyhow, and redo something that should have been done already.

This happens every month since doing business with Metro PCS.

Oh, you can have direct deposit... and they will charge you FIVE days ahead of time.
You can drop in your check, and they will process it TEN days latter.

Is this legal?
I do not think so.

You where dealing with an authorized dealer, not with Metro PCS Corp. I am a Metro PCS dealer here in the Las Vegas area market. This is a gripe that you should have with that location and not Metro PCS as a whole. Everyone is going to have some problems, that was just avoidable on the part of the sales rep., manager or owner whoever you where dealing with. Look for professionalism in a business, look for business owners who care. If you are having problems with the lack of compliance from a store location especially a specific individual in the location this is an isolated event that should be made known to the manager or Corp.

Metro by T-Mobile theft and fraud

I purchased a cell phone paid by debit for my granddaughter in May 17 2008. The plan I selected
made my payment 57.15 a m onth. Instead of paying by the month I decided to pay my granddaughter's bill for the year. My payment was recorded in increments of two
six months period totally $351.00 for teach six
months period. I paid Seven hundred and two dollars on 5-17-08. My first payment was due on 6-17-08 and ends 5-17-09. Everything was fine until
12-09 when the phone service was turned off.
We've made several attemps to rectify the situation. We've been insulted as to being told the service is off because you did not pay your bill.
Both the general manager Sam and manager

Wow so we are all here for the same reason. I believe it is time for all of us to file a complaint with the federal trade commission and the consumer affair department in each of our states. If we do not band together and stop supporting this company all of money will allow them to keep ripping people off as they continue to pay of people who are suppose to enforce the laws they are breaking. I will have a Class Action Law Suit initiated by the first of April. Contact me at FLGElite@yahoo.com. We will not be taken advantage of any longer. First they took the jobs and now our money, when is it enough this company is DONE!

I purchased a MetroPCS phone on my pay date which is on the last business day of the month (usually the 30th or 31st). MetroPCS Sacramento set my due date as the 29th of each month which is 1 or 2 days before I get paid. I recently called the corporate store on Florin Rd. in Sacramento to have the date changed. Corporate said to contact customer service as they were the only ones who can make that change and gave me the phone number. I asked if cust. svc. wld be able to make that change over the phone and was told yes. When I called cust. svc., operator #873 informed me that the only way to change my due date is to let the phone be disconnected and remain disconnected for 7 business days. After this timeframe I can go into a MetroPCS store and pay the outstanding balance, request due date change, and pay an additional $5 fee for the date change. Otherwise, I will continue to have my service disconnected for non-payment EVERY SINGLE MONTH for 1 or 2 days and pay and additional $5.00 fee to have it turned back on. ? REALLY!? And to adddress an earlier statement about credit worthiness, this was not my reason for selecting MetroPCS. I had ATTWS for 7 years and was paying a minimum of $170 per month for unlimited calling, texting, and internet. Call me crazy but I decided to give my wallet a break and go to a less expensive carrier and pay $60 for all of the same features. Despite my reservations about MetroPCS. The phone and the service itself have not really given me as many problems as I thought I would experience. In fact it hasn't been so bad. HOWEVER, this due date thing is ridiculous. How hard is it to pull up a customers account and enter a new date due? MetroPCS or GhettroPCS as it is known here, really sucks.

After reading all of the complaints listed, YOU'VE ALL SAID IT ALL! Not sure how to go about it but I would also like to be included in a class action suit against MetroPCS. On June 26, 2009, I purchased a phone on sale for 169.99(plus insurance) for my daughter. Approx. 2 weeks after purchasing, the whole phone system shut down and asked for a security code. When we purchased the phone, we were told (by Larry at MetroPcs of Quaker Bridge Mall in NJ) that the security code is the last 4 digits of the phone number - Didn't work! When we took the phone in, Larry tried to unlock the phone, with the help of customer service but was unsuccessful. He then advised us that there was nothing he could do and HE could not give us a new phone, we'd have to travel to "corporate" in Trenton, NJ and there, they would give us a new phone. In the corporate office, they gave us, what we thought to be, a NEW phone(however, we found out today when we tried to return it that it was "refurbished"). Long story short, the phone was defective and when we tried to return the phone, the Manager (Dan) of "corporate" MetroPCS in Trenton, NJ advised that there was nothing he could do and that we'd have to have the phone replaced through insurance. Here's the thing...we have to pay $85 to insurance for ANOTHER "refurbished" phone in addition to the $169. we spent alittle over 30 days ago. SHAME ON U MetroPCS!

Metro by T-Mobile travel talk

Travel talk is supposed to be helpful when your'e
"traveling" but I havent traveled since i've had this phone but according to my stupid cell im traveling even when i'm at home. I do not have a house line because times are tough and I thougt it would be much easier on the pockets I figured anyone could reach me at anytime right? Wrong! Apparently when my phone is "roaming" I can not make or receive any calls only text which absolutely sucks because my phone chooses to go into travel talk mode several times a day the dumpest part of the whole situation is turning it off isnt always simple after going through the steps, settings, network, then change over 20 times my service may or may not resume. Wow! What a convenient little feature you guys have for us non-travelers. Thanx for nothing metro.

I live in Los Angeles so it is definitely not a rural area. I've used Metro in the past and it was fine, no problems. I reconnected the phone today and it is constantly roaming or on "Travel Talk." I found out that Metro charges a lot for this so I turned my roaming off, now I have absolutely no service whatsoever. I'm not sure what's going on because there are plenty of t-mobile towers around here. I am disappointed, especially since I've never had a problem with Metro pcs before. Also, two people at the authorized dealership set up my phone, I wish they would have told me about Travel Talk and what it entails. I know they noticed because I noticed the flashing "R" and the words "Ttravel Talk" across the top of the screen right away. Again, truly disappointed. I thought you were better than this, Metro PCS, I thought you were better than this..

My service is not so bad, but everytime I go into a Metro PC store the customer service sucks. I bought a phone that had two rebates. However even though the girl in the store filled out the paperwork for me and put in an envelope, I just added a stamp. I received a letter telling me the rebate was not within the time frame of the rebate. Go figure... employee gave the wrong rebate papers.

Metro is definitely the worse in my area. If I had known I would never have bought a phone and paid for a month's service. Reception in my area so bad, doesn't work in my area of employment or where my one daughter and grandkids live even tho only 7 miles away My neighbor 100 ft away and my grand-daughter in same room didn't get my text, that's really bad..The employees in store were professional even tho I was rude as I was highly upset when I went in store. Been there 3 times in 3 wks. not paying for another month. Out the cost of the phone but won't be aggravated anymore. Once phone froze on me, couldn't get but one screen, couldn't call or text. What do you call that? Employee said needed to be calibrated even tho it worked OK for 4 days prior. Really the worse! Hate it with a passion!

I 100% agree with the travel talk complaint. The same thing happens on my android moving from one room to another at home and not just once or twice a day but three sometimes more. As far as the costumer service well they act like we're bothering them. They're out and out rude. And they don't care if you know it. They've hung up on me a few times because I've told them they are being rude. Metro PCS should hire people who enjoy their job.

For over a week I argued, begged & pleaded at every level, 6 store reps, 6 online reps. In my opinion all of them incompetent and many rude. Autopay account deleted and recreate at least 4 times. Everyone keeps saying the same thing just go in and update to account info. The account was even verified by a Corporate Center supervisor. Phone service has been shut off twice. Even after the store manager at the corporate Center assured me that it ad been restored.

Then I found the emails for coroprate HQ. Two emails to three execs and the problem was fixed in two hours. You do the math. Corporate email, fax number, phone number and my complaint letter is at http://SwensonStudio.com/MetroPCS.htm

Metro PCS is a very affordable phone service if you pay attention to what you are getting.
Here in Florida Metro PCS works very well for the most part. And for a Flat rate of $45 for unlimited features it well worth it. As far as Roaming, simply turn it off in local areas.
If you are out of the coverage area, just turn it on. But you can only send and receive text messages for free. If you want to use it to make phone calls you will have to pre-pay, and calls cost .19 cents a minute.. I find this perfectible acceptable for the little amount I travel.

So duhh... if you travel or are in a rural Metro PCS id not the phone company for you..

Metro by T-Mobile poor customer service/failure to call back on service request logged

Metropcs wireless, inc.
Po box 601119
Dallas, tx 75360

Metro pcs sucks. I bought my phone a month ago. the texting has never worked. I contacted them and logged a service request, and never got a call back. I called them again today and they told me it would be fixed within 24 to 72 hours and that it was a known issue. I told them it obviously was a known issue a month ago, but they didn't do anything about it then, and never called me back.

I also was speaking with people in I believe costa rica, whose english wasn't that great. when I did reach someone from their customer service department whose first language was english, he was curt and disrespectful.
If the company I work for were to not respond to service requests, we would be out of business. when my company doesn’t respond accordingly or has an unhappy customer, the customer is provided with a credit. the very least metro pcs could do is credit a month of service, all services, for the trouble I have had.

This is my first month with metro pcs, and this has been a very very poor experience.in addition, metro gives you no discounts on phones… so the usual rant which you can receive from sprint, at&t and others for $50.00 (after rebates) will cost you $200.00. do not go with metro pcs, you will get better service from other carriers. the better service is worth the extra $10.00 a month you might pay with another company.

Metro by T-Mobile shady business practices

I purchased a cell phone and month to month service from Metro PCS. Almost immediately I started receiving constant, harassing phone calls, and text messages at all hours of the day and night. I contacted Metro PCS. I agreed a solution to the problem would be to change the phone number (by the way, the customer service rep could not figure out a solution, and didn't even try to solve the problem.) WE agreed this would most likely solve the problem. Then I was told, I would be charged $5.00 to change th e number. (five dollars is not a lot of money, but it a customer-service principal.) I spoke politley to more than one supervisor and was told repeatedly that I had to pay the fee. THEY are the ones who assigned me this phone number with this horrific problem, NOT EVEN TWO WEEKS AGO! I will advise everyone who I know to NEVER GET a METRO PCS phone, their business policies and customer service are awful! Also, most the the reps I spoke to have such a heavy accent you can barely understand them.

I have been a Metro PCS customer for over four years now. In the four years I have been with them my monthly bill has gone up from forty dollars a month with everything unlimited to 65 dollars a month for the exact same service. This disappoints me coming from Verizon after six years and NEVER having to change service plans. And even though I was paying a lot more I still knew what I was getting. I don't appreciate how Metro can change their policies at any time and do not inform you until your monthly bill is due.
This to me seems very sneaky and unethical.

You are correct, Metro PCS does have lousy customer service, and most of them are ill informed and rude. My advice? Keep a list of the day's and time's that and the customer service I.D number and/ or Supervisor I.D and name if possible. Contact the Corporate Offices in Texas and make your complaint's heard, If you remain respectful you will get the help you need. Also be sure to write down the names of anyone you talk with in the Corporate office's and any extensions you are handed to. I did just that and got the Secretary of the CEO, problem solved!

If Metro PCS did a better job with quality control and called their own customer service center's and acted like a customer, they would get a much better idea how their ACTUAL customer's are being treated.

Metro by T-Mobile bait and switch - double billing

If you switch to one plan experimentally (From a cheaper plan), make sure that you can switch back to the same plan. I just tried their internet service. Terrible and non-existent. Ten minutes to load a web page.

When I switched back to my old plan, I discovered that text messaging was no longer included and that I would have to pay extra.in addition, they also just billed me for two months and would not accept a payment for one month.

Metro pcs is a very scammy company. Customer service is non-existent and the corporate office's automated prompt system can hang you up in an endless loop. They have everything set up so that contact with corporate is extremely difficult. The only company I have seen which rivals metro pcs for scamminess and dishonesty is t-mobile.

One piece of advice: do not give either metro pcs or t-mobile your credit card or debit card number. That is an invitation to get "looted." and guess who has to spend their time trying to resolve these problems: you.

I am actually quite surprised that metro and t-mobile get away with things to the extent that they have. Not only are they dishonest, but they also commit very obvious fraud (Bank fraud included) over state lines. Do not give these companies your cc #.

I have called and filed many complaints . I live in Bethel Island Ca. My calls are continually being dropped .I did say Continueally and I mean that ! ! ! Today July 12 I seem to NOT be able to get a TX to go out, message FAILED . The call in and complaining 3 -4 times a week is getting very OLD .Not to mention dropping calls in the middle of that . I have used my home phone phone as asked to do which adds to major time to get though, only to have them drop that call . I will be setting in a chair in my house and not even turn my head . I try to run a bussiness with this phone . I know this is a test of patience for me . I Love the Lord and I am Growing in him .I know in the patience department because I would lonched my phone long ago had it not been for him. If you can't improve the service out here how do I go about getting a rebate, money back so I can get a phone and service that works ? I AM looking forward to service improvement . Thank you kindly

Metro by T-Mobile not user friendly

Your website routes me to stores that are NOT near me at all. I called the numbers and have spoken to a total of 8 people, NONE of which could understand that I am in Irving/Las Colinas. EVERY one of your competitors is on MacArthur and you are not. I tried calling the customer service line and it kept routing me back to the auto attendant. The site is not updated because I called a supposed location for you, a Target, who had a phone. No metro pcs plan, just the phones. Very misleading. This does not warm me up to using this company at all. I mean if this much hassle just to get a plan, I could only imagine trying to get something resolved! It has been since Monday, 10 phone calls, 2 drive by's and 8 people and I have had no success finding a store to sign up on the metro pcs plan. How do these guys stay in business?

i have tried several time to get in touch with corp. head quarters for metro pcs, unable to do so. we have had metro for years now. resently we made some changes in our service at the irving, tx. office at the airport hwy office. when we were there making the changes we ask exactly what our bill would be for the month of dec. 08 and we were told it would be $120.00 odd dollars but when we got the bill via voice mail on our phone . the bill was over charged by$115.00. i spoke to one the cs's on 611 and was told it would be taken care but it was not, i called agian to get the phon # for that office but they could not give me one, then i called 411 and they had no listing for this office either.

i would like to speak to someone at the corp. headquarters to get this taken care of today 12/08/08
as thereis no phone numbers of contact online either.

Metro by T-Mobile phone service/quality of phones

Recently purchased a new phone(kyocera) from metro pcs and the charger is not working.Took the phone and charger back to the service center and was told that there was a shortage in charger, instead of them giving me a new charger they was going to sell me one for 25.00 dollars. I didn't think that was fair seeing that i purchased it recently. I was also told that i should call the company of the phone(kyocera), I think that if you are selling these products from different company's then you shoud take the responsibility in replacing the product. I also think that these phones are a rip-off, because they only last for a couple of months. If these phones that people are buying are refurbished phones then we shouldn't be charged these outrages prices. Thanks Ms.Abrams

Metro by T-Mobile overbilled by metro pcs, and never compensated!

I've been a Metro PCS customer for many years, and am now appalled to find out that not only do they not care at all that I have been a long-time and loyal customer, but they do not seem to care at all about their customers.

I was treated horribly by a manager when discussing my bill. I'm very upset and want to receive compensation for my "inconveniences" (their words).

What happened: In April, I had TWO phone that went on one plan with a $10 discount for the phone on the second plan. In April, my bill was paid TWICE (by mistake), but nonetheless, when I learned that two payments were made on my account, I confirmed with the Metro PCS rep that my phone service would be paid and uninterrupted for the month of April and the month of May. That made sense to me.

Then on May 9th, I removed my second phone because I no longer needed it, and I needed to lower my bill.

When June came around, I received the text message telling me the amount I owed for my next month of service. It stated that my bill amount was only $28.98 -- I thought that the reason it was so low was because I removed my second phone, and they had obviously issued a credit to me. I even had the store where I was making my payment call to confirm that this amount was in fact correct. Yes, they said it was.

When June rolled around, I expected my bill to go back to the normal expected amount of $59, but was very surprised when the text message from Metro stated I owed $82! What? I called Metro right away and explained that I did not think this bill amount was correct at all, and the rep told me that I was right, in fact. She advised me to disregard that text message and that the actual amount I owed was $59. She told that if I paid this amount, my bill would be paid in full and my service would not be interrupted.

Low and behold, the next day, my phone was SHUT OFF! I couldn't believe it! I called Metro and went around in circles with a very rude manager for an HOUR. In the end, he left me with no legitimate explanation for this over-billed amount, and he told me that either I could pay the balance or take my business elsewhere.

Since I needed my phone right away, I paid the balance. But I still feel that I was completely taken advantage of.

I talked to a rep again tonight to see what could be done about this issue, and she told me that because I removed my phone in April, I lost the $10 discount on the second phone, and that I had "underpaid" my bill in June (even though it was confirmed by Metro that the $28 amount was correct)!

I asked for the telephone number to the corporate office, and they could not provide me with one. They could only provide me with a PO Box address where I could write a letter.

They didn't care that I was given "wrong" information. I still feel that I was overbilled, and until someone can make sense of this to me, I am furious with Metro PCS. It's evident they do not care about their customers. "Sorry for your inconvenience" does not cut it for me. I want to be compensated for this, and I would love to know how to contact Metro PCS corporate office to file a complaint!

If anyone can tell me how to do this, I would be so grateful!

Any advice would be helpful.

From a very dissatisfied customer,
Josie

Because Metro PCS has such low monthly fees, they feel that providing good customer service is not necessary. People in need have no choice but to put up with their nasty attitude because they cannot afford something better. I also had my fair share of standoffs with their CS reps several years ago and ended up taking my business elsewhere. However, Im surprised that you didnt find this information online. This is from Metro's website.

MetroPCS is headquartered in Richardson, Texas.

Our mailing address is:
2250 Lakeside Blvd.
Richardson, TX 75082

Hope this helps.
