I feel that Merdian Media Group are nothing but a bunch of swindelers and scam artists! Jim Gibson (customer service) has done nothing but steel our $999.00 . He promised to sell our time share in 4-6 weeks without any problem. He also said he would rent it for a 4 week period to produce extra income. We have recieved no phone calls from any interested parties, and certainly none from him or anyone else from MMG. We have called them several times, left mesages, but this does no good. He says he is a GOD fairing man, but I don't know too many GOD fairing men who steel cash from average income people who need to sell their time share to help pay medical expenses! I hope no-one dose business with Meridian Media Group after reading this.
He made it sound like there where people and companies waiting in line to buy our timeshare. Odvieously he is a lier on top of everything else!

Since posting our complaint on Feb 2nd and contacting Meridian through their Home Web Page we have received a call from their CEO wishing to hear more details as to our grievance. In working with him he has once again assured us that they are a reputable company and have worked with us on updating our ad and offering suggestions on ways to move our property through them. We have received many calls from them since then to check with us and we are now more hopeful that we may be able to have a better chance of selling or renting our timeshare with their suggestions. I am agreeable to giving them another chance at this time. I am certainly hoping for a better relationship with our new representative in the company. Brian Minnesota

I'm inviting everyone who was cheated (like me) by Meridian Media Group to e-mail me at nodvic@hotmail.com and let's try to put these people out of business! I think a class action lawsuit to compensate us for cheating us out of money under false advertisement of having your timeshare sold or rented until it does. I would think a number of attorneys would be interested to help us if we would just band together and file a class action lawsuit. If you are interested let me hear from you and let's try to put these people out business, I think if WE all report them to the Better Business Bureau, we would get their attention. At this time I'm going to look into ( Help4the people@yahoo.com) and they may be able to help us if we can band together and file it as a class action lawsuit.

Lgirl, way to represent your company. I'm sure they are real proud that you can write a whole paragraph without spelling mistakes. Your customer service, on the other hand, is obviously in need of help.

I would like those of you who say you work for Meridian to leave your name and number where you can be reached, I also was told my credits were the easiest to sell, and the in 4 to six months I would be rid of my unused time share. They also told me that it would never take a year to sell, well in 43 days it will be a year. So give me your name and number, or have your reps return my phone calls and emails.

I was thinking about selling my time share to help my mother with her's, but it sounds like Meridian is not the way to go, does anyone know a real sales company that can sell a time share for me?

The people who are complaining on this website need to learn to write and read proper English. I've been working for this company on and off for over a year, and our reps do return phone calls - every day. In addition, we have a full customer service department that gives updates on the properties regularly. If you are expecting a miracle, and that your timeshare will sell in a week, you are completely delusional. Notice that I spell my words correctly. If you are so unhappy with our services, why not try using a BBB rated company, you know, the ones that pay the BBB fee to get their A+ rating. If you believe a word of this nonsense, you obviously ARE NOT smart consumers. Get a grip on reality, and stop complaining about services you obviously know NOTHING about.

Jim Gibson is a lying, cheating, fast-talking, dishonest SOB. He misrepresented the services that Meridian offers and now he will not accept calls from me. I hope that both he and the people who engage in such deceitful practices burn in hell. He would not engage in such deceptive practices if your company did not allow it. Gibson took $1099 from my account and did not deliver anything that he promised. He said he had a buyer at the time of his call to me if I would agree to sell for $24, 700 (firm). He said that monthly payments and maintenance fees would stop immediately. He was going to help me get my money back from another company (Robert Andersen at Buyatimeshare.com) that had already cheated me out of $1, 200. He told me not to use the one week that I had in 2010 because he had a renter and that a check for $1, 800 would be sent within a few days, yada, yada, yada). I canceled my plans to use my timeshare because of his lies. I'm sure that he and your company dupe honest people out of their hard-earned, honestly-earned money each day so why should I be any different?

I'm sure that Gibson laughed all the way to the bank with his commission from my honestly earned money. Nonetheless, he could not engage in this behavior if the company did not allow it.

Intersting! I have been talking to Carmen De Socio as of yesterday. He is still with the company. They must be very good at redirecting calls. I am glad we found this web site before we fell into the same trap.

It's really easy to judge a company just by a few complaints on a website specifically made for complainers. Unfortunately there exists no website for satisfied customers.

Just for the record there has never been a Mr Russell that has ever worked for Meridian Media Group. Whoever keeps writing these negative posts if you have any integrity and have a problem with our company please let us know, dont make up stories and fake posts it wont help your company at all. We have millions of satisified customers and will continue selling more timeshares thatn any other company combined.

OMG you people are so correct. Joe Carbernara & that whole Meridan Group should be sued for lying to the public and taken the honest $$ from people. Making False Promises and give people false hopes should be illegal. Taken $1000 from us and stating the property will be sold or renteda no call back or status whatsoever, you people of Meridan are very bad people & God does not like UGLY. So what goes around comes around. This company will go under, may you go bankrupt just for the lying scams you people have been up to.

BIG RIPPED OFF! DON'T believe anything they say!
YEs, I agree the Meridian group is no more than a scam artist Group that steels money from people having no remors whatsoever
of their circunstances.
Promised again and again that they will rent our properties and it wouldn't take more than couple of months as they have this brillian Marketing plan and do conferences all over USA to rent this properties to high potential corporations.
Mr. Russell, Sales Manager for Meridian promised that they will seek for the best rental option and will receive updates weekly. They went overboard expressing how good they are working with large corporations, that they have in their files as past clients for many years now. After I signed their one page request payment they took a week to send me a blury two page contract were it explained clearly that funds will be fully refunded if rental or sale do not occured in six months.
Be ALERT! Don't let Mr. Russell fool you like he did to us! I thought he was a true and sincere guy! as he heard us that we needed help we were going through a lot of lost, we lost our company, my husband lost his job, I had a just born baby and we were in the midts to let go our own home. We were very sincere as we explained to him that we were strugling to pay our three time shares. He keept on calling and telling us that he was very compasionate for what we were going through and promised day by day to make sure he will work in our properties immediately but once we finish paying the $999. We felt he was sincere when he express how strongly he believe in keeping his clients happy and he promised day after day that he will take care of us..
Much for our surprise! After the full balance was paid Mr. Russell desapear from earth! he received no more calls and never return
ours, he sent a lady twice, promising that a Manager will call back, which did once to then send us a small list of three to four emails of people that request information about our time shares but they never told us before. The worst of all is that Mr. Russell told me after he obtain my money that he was taking my week of Orange Lake into his own company as he had a exchange company and I wouldn't loose the week due to be short time for the rental. I was very happy to here that until last week when Orange Lake confirm they were the ones that rent the property for almost nothing prior to me loosing the weeks I had, They even question me why is it that I didnot rent it before or gave it to RCI for an exchange before loosing the entire week! . Much for my surprised again this company lie to me, Russell lie! and he never did anything about my week !
After months of strugling to obtain information and thousands of calls to the company we were told by this same lady that we needed to lower the rent and sale price. Since then we have called and left messages and requested our money by phone by e-mail and by certify mail..and have no luck to be able to talk to anyone in that company.
I am seeking for the Financial State Department support in order to get my money back and will process a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and all governement entities that could help to clear this company from practicing any kind of Marketing "Fake Marketing " as well as to record their individuals under fraud so people can be alert. This has to stop. I invite you all to do the same thing for the sake of our country, a country based in TRUST" if we don't do nothing this people keeps on making money from inocent people who still believe in the AMerican TRUST ! people like us that has have moral and values.
Hope all who reads this make no mistake as we did with this scam Company. Work with your Time share they all have the same service is less what you get but at least it is secure.
Blessings to all,
Laura / Miami, Florida

Same thing happened to my husband and I in California...Brian took our $999 too and all they did was publish a tiny micro photo of our timeshare which was over priced when compared to others! We were ripped off by Meridian!
