These people are crooks, they have a non existant support, there is no telephone number to contact anyone and inquiry's and complaints are never addressed. I signed on with them close to 2 years ago, I did not know how long I would keep the memorial open so I set up a recurring month to month. Then after a year I decided to just pay online each month with my credit card. A few months ago I began seeing notices on the website telling me that the memorial sponsorship would expire in 7 days unless I paid. I remember thinking that I had paid not long before but I went ahead and paid for that month. The following week I checked my account and flipped because they had submitted Three debits for the same amount, one on the day I paid and two more the following day. I sent them an email. All I received was that same acknowledgement that someone would contact me within 24 hours. Never happened, then the following month they again submitted a Triple debit without my permission, and then again this month a Triple debit. Something told me to check my other credit card account because originally I had used that card to pay each month and sure enough four months of Triple debits. They will not respond to my emails and their "alledged" staff have no "names" other than some cutsey baby picture and a nickname. What kind of company is this. I am complaining to the Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission. What they are doing is illegal. I've also found out that a large portion of the Online Memorial's are affiliated with them. This is my last month with these crooks, but if anyone knows of any memorial websites that are not part of "Library of Life Foundation" please let me know.

Wow only if i had seen these complaints before i signed up.I am experiencing the same issue from this company. I attempted to log on to my mother's memorial and was unsuccessful since it had been CANCELED. However every month faithfully i am CHARGED with no problem. I called that [protected]# and its not in service. What a joke, but guess who does not find it funny. I really appreciated being able to go to the memorial site and feel close to my mother and now i dont have that option THANKS ALOT TAL
Make this right or answer to the CREATOR on judgement day

I have had the same experience. I have contacted my bank and am told that I have to close the card and obtain a new one. If anyone has contact on Tal please post. I am sure that we all are aware of this scam now. The site is registered in Israel. The numbers dont work. There is no contact info.

This web site is total crooks! My mother's memorial website has not been accessible since Thanksgiving 2011(or probably before, i don't visit it daily, so i cant be sure when it stopped working) They have taken the payments every month, sometimes twice OR MORE!, usually making things overdraft by taking it out an excessive amount of times, and the website STILL does not work. I have attempted to cancel, and the charges are still appearing on my credit card. The customer service is DEPLORABLE/NON-EXISTANT. Numerous e-mails have been sent to their customer support with no response. I am just intrigued how this is still going on after scamming so many people.

Back when my father died in 2005, I made a memorial site for him with Memory-Of.com. Back then it was a one time fee for lifetime, not a reoccurring charge. Since that time there were problems I ran into and I did have one heck of a time getting someone to answer my troubles, but the email finally got to the right person, Henry Chamberlain with LifeStageMedia who actually owned Memory-Of.com up until at least late 2008.
Due to my personal anguish, I do not visit the site often, only on special occasions. Today would have been my fathers 78th birthday so I was going to share his site again with family and friends. However when I tried to go to the site, it does not exist! I know within the past 60 days it was up and running as I went to my fathers site to get the info on how to make a memorial site for another friend who's father recently passed away.
I am so hurt not to even mention extremely upset.
I am thankful that who ever owns the site now has never tried billing me monthly nor sent me an email stating they would be starting to do so, but this is probably because at the time of my fathers death, I had a different checking account so therefore no way for them to try to bill me again for what was supposed to be a one time payment for lifetime!
My prayers n thoughts go out to each and everyone of you and I will be keeping up with this site to see if anyone was able to get their problems resolved so maybe I can too!

All we go thru in the death of our loved ones then have to put up with these people who don't care about what we've been thru there only concerns is how many payments they can get out of your checking account each month. We lost our son & it was helpful to see his memories every day but one again after being paid these so called business men turned our sons site off. They are not man enough to answer any e-mails. They need to be put out of business. Dell Murray mother of Officer Kevin Murray my sons memory deserves better.

Our 27 year old daughter was killed in an auto accident on her way home from work as a Pediatric Intensive Care nurse. We set up a memorial site for her in 2006. The last year or so, we have been getting double and triple debited and then receiving e-mails saying that the site would be shut down for non-payment. I have sent several (15 to be exact) e-mails to this company and received the automated response that someone would be in contact with us and told us to reference a "Ticket number". No contact was ever made. How pathetic these people are to prey on grieving families! The Attorney Generals Office has been notified as well as the other authorities. Don't be scammed by these people!

Ive talked to my bank, they will take action if I ask them too since some of that is unauthorized charges.. I would like to see Tal step up and make it right with all of us before it comes to that though.

The credit companies are partly to blame. They do understand that this has been going on (particularly VISA) but refuse to do anything about the situation.

Tal - in your reply up there to someone you said if you CALL you will be more than happy to help with the problems. Problem is Ive called your company now twice in 2 days and never get a return call. Ive emailed your company more than 7 times asking for you to fix this problem. Funny I dont get a reply and from the looks of it nor have the other people who have posted here.

When will you be getting back to us ? Obviously not in the 24 hours your generic email implies. And obviously not by phone since I have yet to get a call back. And trust me, Ive left "identifiable" information in EVERY PHONE CALL AND EMAIL !

This is ridiculous. You are ripping off bereaved parents / grandparents and other family members and friends. Honestly I hope that you do fix this problem because KARMA will come back and three fold for the people you have wronged. Fix your Karma - Fix your sites billing issues. Its never to late to fix this problem - Now would be a good time to do right by your customers.

Ive been charged 3 times between November 21st . November 23rd 2011. Turned around and got a email saying my daughters payment had been declined (yet it went through on the 27th of December) and her account was turned off on December 28th. I am not happy in the least bit. I have sent numerous emails since November hoping something would be resolved. Nothing has been replied to other than the generic email with a ticket # in it. I called the number listed (was on my online banking statement) and got voice mail. Somehow I doubt this is going to be successful either. I have called the above [protected]. All i get is the same voice mail over and over. It is set up just like there stupid e-mail garbage (NO RESPONCE). The phone number is located in CALIFORNIA. My sons site KEVIN-MURRAY-1976 is cancelled even tho payment has been paid.

Yes, Memory-Of did the same damn thing to me except that I had ordered a permanent subscription- where Tal Hart had agreed to keep my webpage: http://ellaprickett.memory-of.com/Legacy.aspx?cpage= on forever. Unfortunently they keep charging my account 4.99 per month and continue to demand payment with-in 7 days of they would dump the site. In November, they charged my account 4.99 twice in one day! If this company doesn't do something in a hurry, Tal Hart is going to be needing a "Memory-Of" web page of his own!

I have been double debited on my sons memory-of account since august of 2011. I always send a e-mail to support@momory-of complaining about the double debits and never get a direct e-mail responce from them. All i get is an automated e-mail from them saying that i would get a direct responce within 24 hrs. Here in dec. a payment was paid thru my bank and they canceled my sons wonberful site on CHRISTMAS day due to non payment on the account. I have bank records showing the debit on my checking account. THANKS MEMORY-OF FOR CANCELING MY SONS SITE. I trusted your company.

hi i am having the same issue as above with memory of.com i have emailed the 6 times but not heard back. since january 2011 they have taken 19 payments from my bank account but have also taken several payments from my step dad then they say the site will close in 7 days i live in the uk and dont no any other way of contacting them other than email can any one please help.

Dear Sir,
I am sorry to hear of your frustration with this Billing issue and our support.
This issues is a mere technical problem related to the fact that your credit card was declined by your bank at a certain point,
and so you have purchased site sponsor again with a new card, but didn't cancel the previous order.
normaly this happens when a credit card account is closed or expired and therefor has no issues, but probably in your case the account was just temporarily out of funds or something, and therefor since it wasn't cancelled it resulted in a situation in which when the card returned to work, you have been charged more than once...

This can easily be solved, either through our support (you can actually call us at [protected], or by email.)

Memory-of.com had various technical issues, and therefor has changed ownership.
we are the new owners, and we are now working on fixing any open issues that previous cutomres had and also are updating site functionality with new features.
