I've been looking around for a havanese puppy and saw Down South Pups website in Arkansas. It's very vague as far as where in Arkansas and had to dig to find out it was in Conway. I reached out and she emailed me back within the day. She was very unprofessional and was unclear as to whether the puppy I was interested in was available for me to visit. Her communication the next day go even worse. She said she could meet me at a McDonalds parking lot to see the one puppy I wanted but was rude and didn't seem interested in selling her to me. We met up that day at McDonald's but she emailed me again saying she'll be 30 min late. We finally met the puppy and Melissa, who acted really uninterested and ready to show her and leave. I had to ask a lot of questions to get anything out of her and didn't get to visit the place where she breeds. It's very very fishy and wasn't worth the last two days of communication with her, let alone supporting that kind of business.
Ah yes, another one that got the same kind of treatment. This Melissa is a piece of work isn't she. THIS right here is while EVERYONE should keep looking elsewhere. SHE WILL NOT allow people to come to where the pups are. Don't walk away, RUN! She is a puppy mill, no VIDEOS of the pups and the moms and where they are CAGED up. And I agree, she gives these short little text or email responses. Like for instance, I filled out all of her BS paperwork, because we all know, she is trying to make people THINK she cares, NOPE, no way. As soon as it was filled out, like within 2 minutes, I get, "Ok leave your deposit" That was it. When I demanded a video of the pups and the mom together, NOT PHOTOS, a video, you know with those smart phones that everyone has today...Nope, "We refunded your deposit, we don't think you will be a good match for the pup." Um, excuse me? I want to see the condition of the pups mom and where they are, and I am not a good fit? This woman is ridiculous. DO not buy from her, she is by all means a puppy mill. No VIDEO huh Melissa...hahahaha I'm BACK.
