I have used Meka Financial Services to complete my 2008 taxes in October 2009. My federal refund was $600 short than the amount that were on the documents I signed to e-file my return. I have made hundreds of calls to the office without a return call. My wife, who used her maiden name, called Meka Financial to schedule an appointment and received a call back a few days later, and a follow up call a few days after. I have yet to hear from anyone at Meka Financial Services.

Edward Winter and his Wife (Both Fat) These two are the lowest form of scrum on the planet. That fat lady tried to ridicule me for asking a qs. I wish these two are thrown into jail and sees the outside world

Hi All,
please do not go to this guy. MEKA financial is a fraud firm. I got a CP11 notice from IRS asking me to pay 15K !. I am left completely frustrated and angry by the way this guy has filed my taxes. He is not replying to my mails or calls. Can anyone please let me know how to file a complaint with IRS against this guy. There has to be someway to stop this guy from scamming other innocent people like me.

EDWARD WINTER - MEKA FINANCIAL is a FRAUD. DO NOT go to him. He is not a tax professional and is just sitting and minting money by entering false information. I had to pay IRS a penalty for $5000 because of his mistakes in filing my taxes for multiple years. I wish I had got that letter sooner. now I am in a loss because of him and he would not answer my calls or emails. He is a CHEAT.

This is one of the most worst Tax consulting firm, this guy never responds to your emails, calls or fax when we get any issue with our taxes from irs, its waste of time and energy, Due to this guy, i had to end up paying more amount to IRS due to incomplete tax file.
Please do not go to this firm, they are waste.

Wow, I am surprised how he has so many people going to him. He's the WORST tax professional I have ever met. Consistently enters all the pre-filled information in the form that you send him to get an appointment WRONG and then goes incommunicado. Calling a [censored] bag will be an insult to lesser [censored] bags. I used his services once - will not go to him again. BOYCOTT him. Make him sweat.

HE IS THE WORST, UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL PERSON I HAVE EVER SPOKEN TOO. I FILED WITH HIM IN 2010 AND HAD WORST EXPERIENCE. THEY GAVE US AN ONLINE APPOINTMENT LATE IN THE NIGHT AND NEVER SHOWED UP AND DINT EVEN APOLOGIZE FOR NOT SHOWING UP. HE TOOK ALL DETAILS AND SIGNATURES AND WE DINT GET ANY RETURNS FROM IRS FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHS. THEN WE TRIED TO CONTACT HIM BUT NO RESPONSE AT ALL. THEY DONT RETURN YOUR CALLS OR EMAILS... AS IF HE WENT TO SOME OTHER PLANET TO SCREW PEOPLE THEIR TOO! FINALLY HE RESPONDED WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO DIE AND THEN APPLIED FINALLY... WE GOT REFUND FROM IRS. BUT ITS NOT AT ALL WORTH THE PAIN. I SUGGEST DOING IT ONLINE VIA TURBO TAX or TAX ACT... RATHER THAN RUNNING AROUND THIS IDIOT!

Meka financial, particularly Ed Winter is a fraud. 99.99% of his customers are Indians on H1 visas. He promises all good returns that's why people flock to him. The good returns are obviously shady. If all goes well you will be fine. If you do happen to get audited, or there is something wrong with your returns, Ed Winter or Meka will NOT help you or stand by you. You will be fighting that battle on your own with the IRS. That's what happened in my case. No amount of calling, emailing or begging will get you their attention. This guy changes his address/phone/everything every couple of years. I think he doesn't even live in NJ. He comes over during tax season, swindles as many as he can and then leaves. Find a better tax consultant if you can. Resist the temptation of going to him.

Please, Please, Please do not go to this guy, especially if you are not filing the taxes electronically. I had to get my Wife's signature on the tax documents and mailed it back to him in a couple of days. i didn't get any reply for about 2 months. After about 2 months i tried calling him up and mailed him again, but no use. nobody picked the call, nobody replied on the mail. This continued for about 2-3 months and one fine day he did reply saying that he had filed the tax returns and that he had sent the documents when i had mailed to him. I asked why has there been no communication from IRS and why cant i trace my status in IRS, and since then there has been no response. After about 7 months, i finally filed my 2010 taxes from another tax consultant and finally got my wife's ITIN and tax returns back within a month . Worst of all, I recommended this guy to one of my friend and he also got stuck because of him. In December he did come back to my friend saying that there was some issue with the filing and that he is going to follow up on it. I guessed he realized that next year is coming up and he needs to get things sorted out again to get some clients back. He is still waiting for his tax return.
All in all, a totally unprofessional guy with no ethics and no regard for others. Please warn your friends against this guy. For a man his age he should he should stop swindling people of their money and time. Get a life Mr. Edward Winter, you never going to be successful of whatever is left of it by doing things like this.

I have filed a complain with IRS . I would suggest everyone to file complain with IRS for his misconduct and get his license revoked. You can even fax the complain. It does require work but guess can take him out of business.

I visited their office personally and got the tax forms filled. I needed my wife's signature. SO went back and sent the signed tax forms to them for filing by mail. I paid them 200$ when I visited them personally.

I mailed the documents in April 2010 and taxes are not filed till now (Aug 2010). THEY did not return my calls and I went their office personally. There was a note outside their office that it was relocated to 200, Piscataway, NJ. So I drove down to Piscataway only to be told that I was not the first one to go there looking for this [censor].
