Meijer - racial profiling

I have shopped at my Meijer 20 yrs or so. Recently I have started having racial issues. I am a 47 yr old Black male and I am a window shopper of sorts. I love to cook and when I get bored I eat, so I go to many stores daily and look around come up with ideas. Meijer fresh young chicken

Today, April 24th, I bought a "Fresh Young Chicken" at store #221 in Grandville, MI. When I took it out of it's wrapping, it still had a lot of feathers attached. It was attached on both wings, the back and scattered throughout. The neck was also still attached. I cut the neck off. But, I wasn't able to get all of the feathers. I wound up cutting the skin off. I've never had this problem before and I have gotten chicken from Meijer for many years.

Meijer store # 36 long checkout lanes

For the second time in two weeks I have spent longer time in line than I did actually shopping. Our family has shopped at Meijer for decades and I can't believe that management cannot correct this. All I seem to get is excuses when I speak to someone at the store. Whatever happened to the slogan "you're next in line"! If things don't change soon I will have to start getting groceries somewhere else.

Meijer mperks offers not on receipt

This is not the first time this has happened - latest 04/21/18, checked out by Carrier (extremely nice), after signing in. I had my sheets of MPerks coupons by categories with me, and we, my grandson and I, selected many items for a total o $235.27 less my $10 rewards and $3.50 in separate coupons. Receipt then showed $225.27 and a $10 "Traveler/Rebate...". This was from Clairol which I received with their letter referring to this "rebate" as a "coupon." My closing balance went back up to $235.27. One other time, I noticed that my $10 reward was not on the receipt. And again another time I had to complain to Customer Service. The woman there went through y receipt and returned $18.00 to me. This is the only Meijer at which I shop.

Meijer cashier-mary

This lady greeted everyone ahead but didn't acknowledge me nor did she make I contact! I believe everyone needs to be treated with respect if it wasn't for customers like myself she wouldn't have a job! This lady needs to be schooled on Customer Service! Why is it so hard for some cashiers to serve everyone the same instead of picking and choosing you to be courteous to?

Meijer produce/meat

3 days ago i went to meijer in grandville michigan. Picked up chicken to make a meal out of it. Pack of meat was 10 bucks. I stuck it in my fridge to sit over night to cook the next day and i goto take it out of the fridge and the meat smelled foul. I threw it away. Meanwhile i was chopping up an onion noticing my onions i just bought were bad too. Pissed. Only for the fact every time i go here the produce is garbage. 9 times out of 10 buying onions or tomatoes and they are garbage having to throw them away. 1 maybe 2 times here and there almost a no big deal but damn near every time i come here the produce is [censor]. Almost worse than a [censor] grocery store like family fare or even lower class stores. This is unacceptable and if it continues any more i will be submitting complaints to the health department.

Hello, I was delivering at tipp city oh distribution centre on 04/13/18 at 4:45 am door 382, went inside to check in open door for your employee in check in office & was told by him to get the [censor] out of my way & whole office witness that, thanks to your great employees, I thought company like Meijer has not hire junky to work there, I guess I'm wrong

Meijer incorrect pricing on products

I do majority of shopping with Meijers but as of now that's going to change if something isn't done to improve quality and the correct prices when you are checking out. Over the last several weeks I've caught incorrect pricing on products that if I hadn't watched and questioned the cashier would have cost me hundreds more. I've been patient I've given the benefit of the doubt but this is a weekly problem at the Warsaw Meijers store. A customer shouldn't have to watch everything scanned to make sure there getting correct pricing and a customer should NEVER have to put up with cashiers that get upset with you when they catch YOUR MISTAKES. There's a weekly problem getting a electric cart to help me with my shopping I'm handicapped and shouldn't have to wait 25 min on a cart to do shopping when there's electric carts there that's covered because there not working this isn't fair to the handicap consumer your quality of service and your personnel have changed dramatically since store opened there's never enough cashiers not matter what time of day I go in and the store is dirty getting as bad as Walmart which I refuse to shop with for the very same reasons I'm writing you about today. Doesn't customer service mean anything anymore the prices are going up on groceries and the quality of service is going down I'm disappointed with Meijers I use to travel 45 miles each way to shop with Meijers now you have a Meijers in Warsaw that's not a good customer friendly place to shop I will take my business elsewhere if these problems aren't corrected customers shouldn't have mistrust issues with people there purchasing their weekly food from the conditions are no longer acceptable to me I've given the benefit of the doubt for to long the Warsaw store needs to be shaken up and put back on course and for God's sake clean your store and start appreciating your customers again

Meijer rude cashier

On 4/07/18, 19:23:13, I was shopping at store Meijer, 065 Shelby Twp, MI. I had Meijer coupons to redeem that I received by mail. So it took me awhile to find everything since the store was recently remodeled. I went thru line, gave cashier (#2245686) my 9 coupons, ready to check out and cashier said, "Where is this item, you have to find this." She repeated herself 3 times. All my items were bagged and in cart. I said I wasn't sure since she packed all my bags. She tore through my bags until she found hand soap that I purchased with a coupon. Coupon was for coconut & blueberry scent hand wash. I couldn't find on shelf, so I picked up coconut with different scent. Same brand name, Same size, same look, just a different scent. She said I couldn't use coupon. It was a.50 cent coupon. Then she didn't want to look and see how many coupons I had used before I checked out. I had to ask her 3 times to check my receipt. It's all electronic now, no paper. She was just lazy. I was not going up to customer service for a refund when it can be taken care of at register. Very rude cashier. Then I get home and a coupon was not taken off for 1 item. What? Plus remember the hand soap that I couldn't use a.50 cent coupon for. It was not removed from receipt. I was very upset after all the effort and time it took me to use these coupons. I called store and spoke with store manager. He apologized and said he would take care of. Very nice man. I know it doesn't sound like much happened but it took me a long time to shop and to be treated with disrespect. I spend thousands of dollars every year at Meijer. It's the only grocery store I shop at and I will continue to shop there. I will be getting a refund.

Meijer always out of stock items and stocking shelves (making aisle crowded)

The Meijer Store in Westerville, OH is always out of Eggland's hard boil eggs, as well as other products. The answer I receive from the clerk is " the Vendor supplies them." Seems strange to always be out of the same items. Perhaps whoever orders them from the Vendor should order a larger quantity since they are always out on a Friday and/or Saturday. Kroger, Giant Eagle and Walmart in Westerville never seem to have this problem. Also, why does this Meijer (Westerville) always stock on Friday's and Saturday's during the daytime? Can't they stock in the evening when it is less crowded. The aisles are always crowded with boxes of food on large carts on Fridays and Saturdays causing "traffic jams" in the aisles during the busiest times. I'm not referring to a few aisles it is almost every aisle. Again, Kroger, Walmart and Giant Eagle don't stock during the busy times. I have shopped at this Meijer's for years and it has become such a nuisance. I am so disappointed in Meijer. Maybe instead of falling on deaf ears I should do all my shopping at Kroger, Giant Eagle or Walmart. That way, instead of going to those stores to pick up what Meijer's (Vendors) don't supply them enough of I can do all my shopping at one store.

Meijer pharmacy

Bought OneTouch Verio Test Strips through the pharmacy in Greenwood, Indiana. It is a new meter and I was not sure which strips it took so I had my doctor call it in as a prescription. Huge mistake! They charged me over $62 after insurance. Test strips do not require a prescription so I started looking up the costs for them elsewhere. They're only $41 with free 2 day shipping on Amazon! I called the corporate number and was told so long as I don't open the box and bring the original receipt I could return the test strips at the help desk. Two days later, I took my return to the help desk unopened with the original receipt. They told me I had to go to the pharmacy. I went to the pharmacy who told me I could not return the product because it was a prescription. I called the same corporate number who told me the first corporate representative should not have promised me anything and then transferred me to Shelly the store director. She tried to help me but the pharmacy still would not even price match the product because my receipt says "prescription." Then she said sorry she can't help and hung up while I was in midsentence! Do not buy test strips here!

Meijer boys clothes

meijer in marysville michigan has a boys clothes department that leaves something to be desired. there girls clothes section is huge bigger than some small stores as to where there boys clothes section is more like an aisle at a gas station. my boys go to a uniform required school and to try to find dress pants or collared shirts is impossible. but if i wanted to dress a girl for this same school i would be able to select from all sorts of combinations of uniforms. just never understood why meijer seems to gear themselves more towards girls

I share your sentiment in Petoskey and Gaylord MI. We complain as a society that men are weak, but here we are in their formative years dressing them like slobs in sweats and sweatshirts. That is the only choice at Meijer, wal-mart, Kohl’s, and tj max and Marshall’s which are the only clothing stores where I live, unless I want to travel 2 hours or play the guessing game if it fits and pay to ship stuff back. Maybe that’s why so many boys want to be girls. They see the value we place on them. It’s pathetic I can’t find decent clothes that are suitable for church and just plain looking respectable for my young boys ages 5 & 7.

Meijer self checkout

I am a long time customer of Meijer and mostly shopped at your Westerville and Lewis Center, Ohio stores. There are many reasons why I have always used your self check out lanes. But since you discontinued them in Westerville and now in Lewis Center I unfortunately will be shopping somewhere else.
The explanation that you need them to help more customers is obvious B. S
Since there were seven lanes closed at the other end. I do not understand why you would want to inconvenience you customers but thats your business. Very upset!

Meijer customer service

I have been A Meyer's customer from many many years but that will no longer be as of March 26, 2018. I used yourself check out unlimited items 2 to 3 times a week When
I shopped, (I am a multi shopper I shop for different families at 1 time because my mother is disabled as well as my daughter being disabled) this made it where I could scan my order and sort it as I was checking out without the disgusting attitude or looks from cashiers which is what I received when I had to check out through a cashier's lane. I had wanted to purchase a pizza and when she scanned it I ask her the price it rang up, when it was different than what I thought it should be I question her and told her that there was a endcap facing the grocery aisles with the pizzas on it. There was a shelf tag of 2/10.00 on the top 2 rows but no other prices on any of the other rows so I thought the 2/10.00 was for all the pizzas on the end cap, she flagged somebody down to go check the price who was the most rudest person I have ever dealt with, when the person came back she said 'the price is what it rings up' very nasty & a matter of factly.I said 'OK, I just thought it was all same price since there was only the one shelf price. I just wont get it.' 'It doesnt include stuffed crust.' again very rudely. Well you might wanna get somebody to change the endcap so a customer doesn't pitch a fit.' - I finish my order with no eye contact, no nothing from the cashier. I proceeded to "Sandy" where my husband had taken my grandson while I finished checking out. As we passed the cashiers on our way out they were discussing and laughing in reguards to the situation of my check out. -Really. This will be the last check. - I have worked in retail for over 10 years, I have worked in customer service for 5 I know what customer service is and I know the customer service that you are supposed to be giving customers and this was a deal breaker!

Meijer checkout cashier

I am a regular shopper at Meijer, but today had a frustrating checkout experience. It was Friday morning and four different cashier checkout lanes were available, but none with cashiers I was familiar with. Taking the shortest lane available, with only one shopper ahead of me, it still took her 25 minutes just to check out my $160 grocery order. Everyone behind me in line left for other lanes. During the checkout, she was chewing and blowing bubbles with her gum! I asked for paper bags, which was totally foreign to her and added to the delay. Every single item was studied to find the barcode. She was unable to find certain produce items like zucchini, sweet potatoes, and garlic on her scanner, so I opted out of that. Some of my coupons would not scan and I ended up not using them. Checking my final receipt at home showed a quantity error also. I understand that new employees (if she was) must gain experience, but not at a busy time with no supervision available.

Meijer customer treatment

While checking out yesterday I found the cashier to be rude. I asked her a question and she said she didn't know (whether the item I purchased was the correct sale item). She didn't say anything for a few minutes &then said"I need more room". Didn't even realize she was talking to me at first. She wanted me to take the bags & put them in the basket apparently. No other comments until the very end when she said something about having a nice day. I work in customer service elsewhere and that behavior would not be tolerated. No smile, no courtesy at all. Will go out of my way to not see her again but based on her behavior that wouldn't matter.

Meijer purchased king size mattress cover

I purchased a king sized mattress cover on saturday, march 10, 2018. I put it on my bed this evening to find black hairs and stains on it! I am absolutely disgusted! If it weren't 10:00 pm and my child needed to go to sleep, I would drive immediately to get my money back! I have been a customer for decades and am now considering never shopping at meijer again! How on earth could your company put such an item on the shelf to be purchased?! I deserve a huge apology!

I have been a long time customer of Meijer dating back to when the first one opened in Flint Mi on Pierson rd. I moved to the Alpena area 20 years ago and was thrilled when they finally opened a meijer. This is the first time a cashier was rude and unfriendly. I bought almost $300.00 worth of groceries. As you can imagine it took some time to unload my carts. She ran out of room on her carousel and "threw" 2 bags of groceries into my cart. Another bag dropped to the floor and she said "did anything break?" Well yes it did. A large carton of Yogurt broke which I did not realize until I got home. ( I live 40 miles from this store) quite the mess. Maybe she was having a bad day. She certainly didn't make my day any better. Hopefully she can be taught to be friendly towards customer. I was in retail sales for 15 years after I retired from nursing. It doesnt require much most days to be friendly and courteous.

Meijer turkey bacon

Meijer paying too much for cedar point tickets halloweekend

I am upset because this past October 2017 I wanted to purchase cedar point Halloween and tickets I went to my Meijer went to customer service it says save on cedar point ticket so I ask her how much are the tickets then she tells me it would b just about 60 because tickets at gate are 75 dollars so I'm like whatever ok so I buy 2 tickets at 61 each just to find out that tickets online and at the gate at cedar point are 40 so you guys are over charging by 20 and it's false advertisement and it's a lie and if this isn't resolved I'm gonna get a hold of better business bureau and tell everyone I know not to ever buy tickets from you guys because you over charge for them.
