We performed week ends Emergency Room reports transcription services to DW Medical Transcription Company (3388 Arbor Path Dr, Atlanta, GA; phone number [protected]) as per contract from June 20 to Dec 15. They agreed to give the line count for Oct, Nov and Dec by the end of Dec and make the full final payment by end of Jan 2011. On Feb 8th, I enquired if the check was made out. This is the response I got "Your check has been mailed. Please do not send any Emails telling me when and what I need to mail to you. There has been quite a bite of severe weather conditions. Check with your local post office." I didn’t receive the check. I have sent 3 emails and one voice message to issue a substitute check. No response. Then I approached peopleclaim.com on 3/4/11. Immediately I got a check for $200 and promised to pay monthly regularly. As they were always behind making the scheduled payments, I reminded Felicia (Owner/Manager) by email on Mar 28. Felicia said on 4/9/11 “A check will go out to you next Friday on the 15th of this month”. No check and no responses for 2 emails and one phone call. Thus from their accountant Sylvia to the Owner/Manager Felicia, they lied and made false promises all the time. Their attorney said “WHY ARE THESE DISPUTES BEING SENT TO MY EMAIL ACCOUNT. I DO NOT KNOW ANY OF THESE PEOPLE OR COMPANIES. SOMEONE HAS A WRONG ADDRESS SOMEWHERE”.

The amount is due for work done from Oct to Dec of last year. DW Company being in business for almost 20 years, is not a small company that can not afford to pay $1, 400 by one check. We have performed Emergency Room transcription work of weekends only of one of their clients. After having said and done every thing, unaltered fact remains that DW owes us $1, 400.

I have had a similar experience with Transam Associates. The training is free and the site is well put together but I don't think anyone should have to pay to get a job. I was fooled by another company but I am getting wiser.
