Be warned if you ever you this agent for listing or buying a home. We had him as our listing agent, and right off the bat we had problems with him returning calls, be available to respond say day to requests or handling paperwork. We had an offer on our house and were in the middle of negotiations, and he decided it was more important to attend a school field trip with his child then hold to his responsibilities as a real estate agent. We almost lost the deal. We had the house listed with him for 6 weeks and during that time, he left on mini vacations 3 times. He also couldn't bother himself to come over one night to explain the offer, because he was coaching a spring baseball team.

Now as a buyers agent, he never once ever sent us leads on homes, previewed any homes for us, set us up to get daily updates on new listings. It was all left up to me to search the MLS to find homes to look at, and then get pushed off to his assistant to show the homes. In the 3 months we worked with him, he personally showed us 3 houses! When we finally found a house to write an offer, he told us he couldn’t come over to write it and it would have to wait until Monday. We could have missed our opportunity. I sent him information on Short sales I had found, where agents were sharing information on how to handle Bof A short sales. He blew up on me on the phone, that I was insulting him for sending him that information. What a @#^%$& !

Needless to say we found another agent that was very responsive right from the start, previewed homes and even would show them as late at 10:pm!
Stay away from Gary Potts- you have been warned!

I dated Gary back in high school. He was very aggressive with me and would scold me for looking at other men or even talking to them at times. Sexually assaulted meat senior prom. Then he had the nerve to beat up my younger brother three years later .

I am not surprised at all, sadly, as I was treated disrespectfully at one of his open houses. The behaviors you describe are on par with my experience, minus the sexual assault. The open house was filled with others so that would not have occurred, thankfully. I would describe him as a narcissist. Find a professional realtor, folks.

I am Gary Potts and appalled by your cyber bulling and disgusting post. I do not know you or even went to a senior prom. You are a angry hateful person.

The negative comments on Gary are spot on. Arrogant, poor follow through, abrasive and rude.

I completely disagree with the complaint from John. Gary was very professional when he sold my home and helped me purchase my new home. I really appreciated that Gary was willing to answer any questions that I had and was glad for his expertise. Gary worked very hard on my behalf and I felt that I had a good advocate in him. During the inspection period I would never have thought of getting a sewer scope. That was a $3, 000 repair that was not an expense to me and was a cost to the seller. Great advise from Gary, as I would never have thought of having one done. At age 75 all of these attributes are needed. Gary was a joy to work with and I am highly recommending him to my friends and family.

I agree with the complaint above. Gary Potts is a horrible realtor. He is an a-hole very abrasive and rude. He was too busy coaching his kids and we missed out on our dream home that sold in 2 hours of coming on the market! When we confronted him about it he got upset and yelled at us saying he has other things going on and we would just have to find another house. Needless to say we fired him and went with Brian a competitor in his office who was fantastic.

This John guy sounds like he got his house sold in 2010 in 6 weeks on the market (average market time was around 6 months then )and then because a Realtor wont show you homes at 10pm-12 midnight then to me it sounds like Gary Potts told it how it was and some fat lazy guy got his feelings hurt. Well Gary just closed our first home and it was #31 house that we saw. Took some time to find the right home but I can honestly say that from the start of the search to the negotiating of the inspection repairs and closing cost we needed paid by the seller, Gary worked some magic. He is LOYAL so if your not a loyal person that appreciates the work a good Realtor does for you as a home buyer then I think he would fire you especially if you expect to look at a home at 10pm. Unrealistic. I can't say how he is as a listing agent but as a buyer agent we were updated 4-5 times a week about new properties in our search and he works on the weekend and around our schedule. He seems to know al lot and is a Great Realtor and even better person. Never had problems about him spending time with his children. Seems like John did not either have a family or just did not understand that like most other Americans there comes a time when your not suppose to work and suppose to spend time with your family and community. Call Gary and find out for your self.

I agree, Gary did everything possible and then more. We never thought a Realtor would fight and negotiate as hard as Gary did for us. highly recommended. He has a great team.

I have read many comments in regards to Gary Potts and I must say that we were very surprised to how professional he was and how he fought for us every step of the way. We not only sold our home at his OPEN HOUSE but he found us a home and negotiated us a new roof and furnace. I know there is one post from a John, but it sounds more like John was not loyal and was unrealistic. Gary Potts and his team worked on our behalf every step of the way. You can go to his website and see dozens of great letters from people like us. Call him and interview him for yourself. Thanks for everything Gary.

Gary Potts made our first home purchase remarkable. After he was recommended to us by a friend we decided to work with him instead of the realtor we were originally using. His team made us feel like we had an advocate who was working hard for us and truly had our best interests in mind throughout the process. His knowledge and expertise were invaluable. We were consistently pleased with each step of the process. He was frequently working around his coaching schedule but it never seemed to hinder his communication or availability, it just showed us how important his family is to him.
I will recommend Gary to anyone I know who is looking to buy or sell a home.
