McGee Toyota of Hanover I bought a 2016 nissan altima back in may of 2018

I bought a 2016 nissan altima bak in may of 2018, after purchasing I have numerous problems with the car, and it seems the service department just keeps putting a bandage over the problem instead of fixing it, I brought it back a week ago and was told I needed new brakes and they were going to cost $500 after getting a second option I was told by another mechanic that I needed need brakes at all and they were just trying to get $500 out of me, they have been completly unprofessional after buying the car and now im stuck with a car that does not work properly and a company who will not fix it properly, I have a burning smell coming from my car and I dont have the time to keep bringing it back, I have not even had it for a year yet and has had nothing but problems since.

McGee Toyota of Hanover lying, cheating, the usual

Mcgee is refusing to give a deposit back, I canceled the deal 12 hours later in writing and they dragged there feet, salesman Mike Gillbrook . He was pretending to help me, ohh the registry, ohh the bank, ohh my boss is out today, ohh well, I have spoke to other dealers and this is against the law. I spoke with the AG, and will be getting a lawyer. They are just such a bunch of liars and cheats, it is sad...think long and hard before you do biz with them

McGee Toyota of Hanover sold me an unsafe car that will not pass inspection.

The people at the McGee toyota used car dealership are shady, dishonest and have no care for the customer. I purchased a car 5 months ago at the dealership in Hanover, was assured that the car passed a 120 point safety and quality inspection and was in good working condition. I found out the car had 5 major mechanical issues that took more than 3 attempts to repair. They dragged the process out until I was out of the warranty period and I still had a $950 catalytic converter to be replaced before it would pass Massachusetts state inspection. I tried my hardest but after being lied to multiple times, and even hung up on, I gave up.
The entire process was awful and upsetting. The feeling of being lied to repeatedly is not good. Save yourself the trouble. DO NOT SHOP AT MCGEE TOYOTA!

McGee Toyota of Hanover salesmen

So my 72 year old mom bought a car from McGee in 09 while signing what she thought was just sales agreement they put in an extended warranty agreement for 2000 she never new she had and never used a dime of . She 2x put alternators in drove without a drivers side window for over a year also did numerous other things to vehicle. All of which would of been covered by warranty. When her car was hit and totaled the bank called her to tell her she had a warranty plan she should cancel...they are liars and cheat people so they can make an extra buck I don't know how any of them can sleep at night...I will be filing a claim in small claims court against them

McGee Toyota of Hanover excessive hourly charges

Replace a customer provided water heater in attic.

Watch out for their excessive hourly rates after the initial hour.

They provide excellent service, on time, professional. They charge fairly normal for the FIRST hour $120 (Feb 2012), along with parts charges and even an additional fuel surcharge. But they charge the SAME rate for every hour after the first hour ($120 for any hour) rather than charging a normal, average charge for the subsequent hours. So the $120 is far and above any national, average hourly rate for licensed plumbing after the first hour.

Even after a request for a review of the price, they insisted that this was their normal hourly rate, for any hour

And your bill will not itemize the charges. You have to ask for an itemized bill, which you will get.

McGee Toyota of Hanover bait and switch

On Sat Jan 7 2012 around 10 am myself and my girlfriend walk into mcgee Toyota looking for a new car for her, Tom greets us at the door and has us sit down, my GF begins by telling hI'm that i owe this much on my car i can spend this much a month, and i got this pre approval from capital one auto loans, he says i got the perfect car for you it just came in, he has her fill out the application and he drops the paper work at the finance desk a brings the car around, we test drive and it was solid car, , 2007 corolla, so we go back in and the deal is made a price was agreed and a handshake followed, he says clean out your car, i will pull it around.. 45 minutes later he comes out with the manager and says the bank wont do it because it has 56k miles on it .and i say is it because of the mileage or the credit ? he says mileage, now we go lok at a ford 500 that is 2 years older with under 50k and is cheaper, she doesn't like it, I'm baffled at this point and suspect some has gone wrong or is about to, now he sends us out to look at a 2010 corolla that is 2k more, she likes it, so he says that one is almost 360 a month we cant do that, now mind you we went in with a 230 a month request, so were thinking for an extra 2k its gonna cost 130 a month more.. hmmmmm something is fishyyyyy.. now he pulls up a 2001 dodge stratus with 50k on with a price on it for 6995. at this point im about to cream this guy. he says i can do this for 230 a month, we go sit down and tell him how we feel and he totaly disregarded us... so i request the manager and he says what ever i need to say i can say it to him I BELIEVE THEY TRYED TO SUCK US INTO ONE OF THOSE HIGH INTREST LOANS

McGee Toyota of Hanover I never recommend anyone to waste their time by going to such crap place and misleading cheaters

Misleading, wasting others time, charging my account without my consent.

Recently, I was there to buy a preowned Toyota corolla car with their online quotation pricing around $ 5000. i had printed copy of that and drove around for one hour to reach there.

I gave my paper to them and told them for the deal. The sales man said it is OK and done every calculation and talked about delivery also. Finally after spending 3 hours in the store their so called MANAGER appeared and said they got some problem with the car i was looking for and offered me some other car with additional $1500. we tried the car and said OK but finally when i went to sign the paper...to my great surprise, that appeared to be $ 17000 plus, (i was thinking as dealt with sales guy it should have been no more than $ 8000 but...)

They were even reluctant to show that paper to me. They had already taken out $ 2000 from my debit card. then i canceled the deal and asked to see the sales guy. but that guy disappeared ( or they did it so for the moment). Even they didn't return their printed quotation, which i took from my home.

Finally i told manager to refund my money, he said i am done and came back to home after wasting almost my 5 hours. Next day when i checked my checking account and could see that instead of refunding my money they had taken $ 2000 from one account without my consent. I tried to figure it out with the manager on phone but he was so ...

Finally i called my bank and settled problem through them.

I never recommend anyone to waste their time by going to such crap place and misleading cheaters.

McGee Toyota of Hanover dealer cost is bs

Don't fall for the "Dealer Cost" B.S.. I traded in a new truck with 15, 000 miles on it. It was in mint condition (still had new truck smell). They gave me $18, 500 and put it on their lot for $22, 500. So when they tell you it's dealer cost they are full of it. Oh and another thing. Don't ever purchase an extended warranty from them.

McGee Toyota of Hanover false advertising

Beware of false advertising! Before driving from boston to hanover, I called mcgee toyota to confirm the availability of the car advertised they were advertising on the internet as well as the internet price. Upon my attempt to purchase the car, the mcgee sales associate refused to honor the internet price. Over the next several days, I left messages for the sales manager, who ignored my calls. When I finally reached the sales manager, he maintained that mcgee would not honor the internet price and attempted to sell me the same car for $4, 000 more than the current advertised price. I have filed complaints with the better business bureau and the attorney general's office. Think twice before trusting mcgee toyota as they have numerous complaints against them of the same nature, and consequently have earned a reputation of dishonesty.

I went there two years ago with my daughter to look at a used Nissan Altima. We took it and then others for a ride. At the end we decided to get the first one due to lower mileage and price. They said "someone called and put a deposit on it". That eas within the hour? I went back the next week and the car was still advertised for sale. Needless to say I got into a heated discussion with the salesman and sales mgr. What a bunck of lying ###. I wouldn't go back there to use their rest rooms. STAY AWAY!

If you look up [censor] car dealers in the dictionary you will definatly see McGee Preowned Super store's picture next to it! The worst part is when you report them to the BBB, the BBB excepts their laim excuses and does nothing but add good points to their score! What is wrongwith the BBB?

biggest bunch of scam artists ever encountered!customer service was very poor and unprofessional.cancelled a warranty on 10/18/2010.was told that it would take 6-8 weeks to refund.have now been waiting for 5 months now, and no money recieved.the matter has been taken up with attorney generals office already.i am now suing them in small claims court.on top of everything else, they tried selling me the worst car on their lot.when i tried to get out of the deal, they would not let me out.i was forced into buying another car from them.when i found out that i was getting ripped off again i tried leaving the car at the dealership.the manager became very rude and threatned to take me to court.they also tried using scare tactics on me to get me to keep the car.dont ever buy a car from these people.nothing good will come from it.also attorney generals office told me they are already under investigation for this sort of thing.their is also at least 1, 100 complaints on file with BBB.hope this helps.

They are THE BIGGEST SCAMMER in the car buiesness bar none!
Don't believe a word that NIck or Jim say JUST STAY AWAY!
I had Nick tell me he was warming up a car for me as I was driving in to put a deposit on it from the Cape in the snow storm of 12/20/2010. He said he could not ta a deposit on it over the phone, that I had to come in right away as he he another person coming in to look at it. He call several times while I was driving to make sure I was indeed coming in to put a deposit on it. He then called and told me Jim would take care of me! I recieved a call for Jim to tell me every thing was all set and just ask for him. When I arrived I asked for Jim. He told me he never talked to me and tried to show me another car. The car I was driving in to see was just sold a half an hour ago and the fella just drove of the lot in it! SWITCH AND BAIT!

We are going to be submitting a complaint to the Attorney General's office for unfair and deceptive business practices. McGee has refused and ignored our requests to honor their warranty after purchasing a 25, 000 car. We are looking into hiring an attorney as well...seems like there could be a class action against them...It is amazing that this company is still in business and now we are out several thousands of dollars repairing the vehicle which McGee should have done before the car even drove off the lot.

These people Suck at selling cars! I would go down the street to Mcgee Toyota. The guys over at that store are more helpful and honest.

Mcgee pre-owned tried giving me a 20% interest rate stating banks are not loaning money anymore! BULL-**** 20% is a way higher rate than the rate I was currently in from the vehicle I had purchased 5 years prior at Mcgee Toyota.

I than asked if they had contacted my current finance company Wells fargo and they told me Wellsfargo no longer finances cars or does auto loans.

I went home called wells fargo and in 15 minutes had a new loan with a much better rate. I feel like going back wating tons of the time those [censor] have and than after making them think Im going to buy a car tell them oh wait you lied to me have a nice day ***-HOLES!

Dont get fooled!

Worst experience of my entire life! All of the staff are incredibly unprofessional and rude! I wonder how they can stay in business. Can't wait to complain to the BBB and the Attorney General about how they "do business". Scammers, bait & switch, liars, cheats, dishonest, etc. Stay far away from this dealer if you want a good car!

Have to echo what many others have said about McGee. While we found one of the salesman, Jim, to be particularly helpful. Others were not at all. When drove our car off the lot, it died in the middle of the road and myself and 2 boys (3 and 5 years old) were almost hit by an oncoming 18 wheeler. Incredibly scary, and unbelievable. General Manager Sofiane Chahd upon return to car was not trying to be apologetic but rather chalking in up to the fact that we had bought a used car with a lot of miles and therefore what did we expect. Lack of professional demeanor in a situation like that is not excusable. Like others have said, they try to wheel you in with this unbeleivable prices online, and then say "No, that is what we bought it for, that 's not the price." Hmm, oh, yeah, why didn't we think of that. Of course we should have known that from looking at the website.

Liars! This is THE BIGGEST SCAM DEALERSHIP in all of Massachusetts! Read the thousands of horrible reviews online. They never ever tell you the real price of the car, their online price is only to get you to travel to their place where they automatically double/triple the price. On top of all the scams and illegal stuff going on, the owner and employees are awfully rude. They actually told my 5 and 6 year old girls to " shut the f*ck up so we can deal".

If you think most car salesmen are [censor], wait til you meet these people. They are slimy snakes to the core.

McGee Toyota of Hanover poor customer service

My husband and I just purchased a 2002 vw jetta from mcgee toyota used superstore. He went down on feburary 6th to look at the car we saw on line. After looking at the car the deal was to fix whatever problem that made the check engine light go on and to put 2 new tires on (they were bald.. Not what was shown in the picture). My husband then went back to the dealership on that monday because he is the one who had to do all of the running around for insurance and registration. We had already put a deposit on the car that saturday and were told that the car would be ready to go on that tuesday, which didn't happen, the car was "ready" on that friday. When my husband went to pick up the car it had a rejection sticker on it, it was not even washed on the outside or detailed on the inside. It also had a few pieces of packing tape holding on the back license plate. There was a crack in the windshield which made it fail. The check engine light was "fixed". During our hour and a half ride home the check engine light went on again and also made my speedometer not work. We had to go back again this being the third time we have made the trip from webster to pembroke. We dropped it off on sunday afternoon 2/14/2010. It is now wednesday 2/17/2010. We called to say we were picking up the car and the service department said they just needed to take it down to get a sticker. Again, this is almost a 2 hour ride. The car still has a rejection sticker on it. We had to take the car home today because we do not have another car to get us both to work. The car still wasn't washed and still wasn't detailed and smells. We also found a marijuana pipe under the seat. Goes to show they didn't even touch the inside of this car from the time it was traded in to the time they handed it to us.
In telling the gm our disappointment with the whole process he seemed unfazed. He said he would wash the car if we wanted. Yes that was a problem but our point was not that.. It was the fact that this all should have been taken care of before we came to get the car.

These guys are aboslute ###. I bought a car from them last year with the 100, 000 mile extended warranty. And it turns out the engine in the car I bought is fried. So thinking the warranty would cover this problem, I brought the car back to them. First they said they can't fix it, then they say they can, and they flipped it again and said they can't. When I originally went to purchase the car the internet price was $4, 500 less the price I paid for it. False advertisement? I think so. Also, their sales manager John S**** is a rude son of a gun. He has absolutely no sense of what customer service is. I have worked in retail/customer service for 7 years and I know how to make a happy customer. This place is full of scams and thieves. I would never do business with McGee Pre-Owned Superstore. PLEASE HEED THE ADVICE OF ALL OF US AND NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE. YOU ARE BOUND TO A FRAUDULENT SALE. BAD EXPERIENCE. BAD SERVICE. BAD CARS. BAD BUSINESS.

Hey Jennifer, I went to McGee to buy a car after looking at their web-site. I finally picked the car I wanted to purchase, when doing the paper work, I was feeling very pressured by the sales manager John and the finance manager(not sure of his name), so I deceided to give them a deposit of $100.00 to hold the car and I was going to think of it over night. While I was in the dealership, I asked the salesman what the bottom line on the car was. This questioin was ignored a few times. When I was finally told the price was $17, 900.00 I was surprised as that seemed high. So I went home to sleep on this dicission and went onto the McGee website only to see the same exact vehicle advertised on their web-site for 13, 088.00 yes that right $3, 812.00 in their favor. Now I know my instints were correct. I called and spoke to the sales manager John again and he told me he was not sure how that happened, but come on down tonight and he will make this right. So I go back down there with no intention of purchasing a car at the dealership, just to see what they would say. They tried to explain to me they never sell the cars for the price that is on the intrenet ? They also gave me it was like using a coupon and because I did not tell the sales guy I saw the car on the internet, I was not entitled to the internet price. This dealership is a disgrace and should be ashamed of themself. This is a classic bait and switch operation. I would just love to see help me hank on this dealership. Maybe she will be my next call. BEWARE car shoppers, run and run as fast as you can away from these crooks.

McGee should be run out of the state, there thousands of complaints of this nature about them on many web sites, just look not hard to find them.

It appears that the state AG office could care less, I just wish that a local TV reporter gets screwed by them as all of us have, then maby the great state will shut this operation down once and for all.

Hey Jennifer,

Beware of these people. They are expert in creating FALSE Contract and adding Extended Warranty. They are fraud. Not only me, many people have been screwed by these people. Just a personal advice - make sure all the contract papers correct, no extended warranties they have added to your contract. If you do not want to face any trouble in future, our very personal advice is to RETURN your car back to McGee...

McGee Toyota of Hanover false advertising

Mcgee toyota repeatedly advertises used vehicles for one price and then apply several thousands of dollars in additional charges. They claim that the actual advertised price in their ads on autotrader represent "their cost" for the vehicles and not the selling price. As an example I drove to the dealership to but a 2004 honda civic they listed for 6, 780.00 only to be told after meeting with the sales person and test driving the vehicle that the purchase price was $9, 500. I have filed an official complaint with the massachusetts attorney generals office and invite anyone with a similar experience to contact me regarding a possible class action suit at [protected]@comcast.net.

Responding to an "Internet price, " we visited the dealership and found the car we were looking for. Regardless, when negotiating a price, the price went up initially by approximately $5000 (salesperson said the "internet price" was really the dealer's price, but then he brought the price down, but still to $1000 over the Internet price.
We left.
Other people there at the same time got up and started to leave, telling their salesperson that they wouldn't deal with his dishonesty and false claims. He then went after them and tried to change his tune.

this user just sent me email threatening to sue me for removing his ad from craigslist.
this is childish and idiotic. it was removed by users who flagged it down because he was obvioulsly lying about having been robbed by CL users as a lame excuse for refuing to pay for construction services up front as is standard practice ( 1/3 to 1/2 plus materials).
he openly admitted he had no evidence but would do it maliciously anyway. that's illegal in MA and he is subject t o both criminal harrassment charges and an anti- SLAP countersuit for 3x damages.
just wanted you to know what kind of disinformation and idiotic legal actions alan richard colson ( "rick"), (age 60, watertown and newtonville, arc8@comcast.net), is capable of .AVOID.

Beware of McGee’s false advertising practices. I just found a car listed on their web site, called them to confirm price/details, and went to the lot to see car. When I arrived, suddenly the car was 4K more. The salesman told me the price was actually the dealer cost, then said actually the price reflected 4k trade, and then told me I was eligible for 500 web discount, making dealer cost 500 less. How can the dealer cost change (did they suddenly pay less for this car)? Getting a straight answer out of all the lying sales staff was impossible. Whatever happens be prepared for the price to go up or the terms to swing their way. I got up and walked out, with the salesman following me still trying to pitch me. How can they get away with this?

McGee Toyota of Hanover highly unrecommended

All I am going to say about this 3rd st location is buyer beware. Before you go there to purchase a tire, battery or anything else know the size of tire or battery, check for sales, coupons, and promos and take them with you, be prepared to wait longer then the one hour wait that you are promised and always remember that nothing verbally applies which means the salesmen can tell you anything they want... Get it in writing. If you ask them for the heat resistance, speed and tread wear ratings have them show you the ratings on the tire... Do not rely on what they tell you to be accurate. I had a really bad experience there and will never go back. Really do your research before making any large expensive purchase and go somewhere where you have checked with friends and coworkers. Check with the better business bureau and attorney general or go on sites like this. I do not recommend this location to anyone.

Worst dealership ever! Avoid at all costs! It has been 5 months and they will not and have not canceled my extended warranty. Tim veiga - finance manager tried to scam me by writing down the wrong milege so I would get less money back after the warranty was canceled. Since may I have talked to a dozen different people including the generl manager that said they would take care of it. Nothing has been done, I have since filed a small claim and will see toyota mcgee in court!

McGee Toyota of Hanover bait and switch

Mcgee used cars is a terrible dealership. They advertised a car on the internet and I called and they said it was available. I went down to look at the car 10 minutes later to be told the car had just been sold. I was bull and the guy tried to get to me look at a "similar car" and it was not even close to the one advertised. I called back and asked if the car was still available and did someone make a mistake. I was told chris was only using the computer system and it takes 24 hrs to update. After a week I noticed their computer system still had this car listed so I called back and was agian told the car was available only to go find out it wasn't. I was not happy with them and they acted like nothing had ever happened and I was the crazy one. Still trying to sell me a different car! This dealership list their prices really low to get you in and also changes them when you get in as I have learned as well. Don't trust this dealership, they are the worst of the worst.

McGee Toyota of Hanover happy

Mcgee cars:
My name is jamie mckay vice president of mcgee cars... Our company philosophy is to share with you our true "cost" and then ask that you give us a fair profit. Dealers give you an asking price that is inflated asking you to negotiate for hours. Eventually the car industry will change... Customers demand it!
I realize this is a new approach to selling cars and apologize in advance if you don't like it. Please email me any time with suggestions to inprove.

I had to negotiate for over an hour to get the price close to what I needed. This worked out okay. Your finance department... a whole other story. NEVER would do business with your finance again. I purchased a vechicle in late April 2010 from McGee Toyota. I waited over an hour to meet with the Finance agent after a lengthy negotiation to get the vechicle to a price point I could afford. When I finally met with the finance person, he told me I was going to be easy, rushed through all the paperwork and add ons that, while I pushed back to try to get a better understanding, I did purchase two services that I believe are a pricey waste: Ding and Dents coverage (>$500) and some warranty, that, if I did not use the service, I would be reimbursed the full amount. HOwever, if I used it at all, I would not get the money back. The services are those that would come up, so why sell something that is null before I walk out the door? The Ding and Dent service: I was told that when I call ahead to set up an appointment for routine service, they would have the ding and dents taken care of during the servicing. When I made my first appointment for service, I told them about the ding, I brought the vehicle in, they told me they do not do the service there. I had to work with Ding and Dents. I completed an online claim with the Ding and Dent service, they told me to take it back to the dealership. Waste of money. Misleading service in the Finance department. I've mentioned this to the Finance department, I mentioned it to the Manager at McGee, I just get blank stares. I would not recommend dealing with them, while I like the vehicle, I'm sorry I dealt with McGee. Since this experience dealing, I don't trust your organization to deal with me truthfully. I've heard neighbors and acquaintences who would not recommend McGee. I haven't heard one say, oh, they're terrific, I'd recommend them.

THis is a scam period and a load of BS. You advertised a vehicle for a price, you MUST SELL IT BY LAW at that price. You are a joke and the reason the auto industry has such a bad name. Toyotas ship is sinking and your dealership keeps firing torpedos at it! Atleast there are reputable dealers left in Hanover such as Jannell Ford. They treat you like a human being and not an idiot. No wonder you guys are number one! IN COMPLAINTS!

Hey Jamie, you may want to rethink your approach. An approach that has your dealership listed number one in complaints on the BBB website. Think about that, number ONE of the hundreds of dealers in the state. The number one sleaze in an industry known for it. You must be proud.

McGee Toyota of Hanover lying /cheating/ stealing

I agreed upon a price, yet when the paperwork was completed, I had miraculously paid about $2000 over. They somehow failed to mention the almost $400 "document prep fee", and suckered me into a $700 gap insurance policy by saying it was necessary because my credit score did not meet their requirement. They charged the max allowed by law. If you're really interested in gap insurance, see your local agent to get it for less than half price. Their lame "internet price" disclaimer is poorly worded and wouldn't hold up in court.

McGee Toyota of Hanover - false advertisement

This dealer advertises low prices on the internet website. When you make an offer they ask you to come to the dealership to finalize the deal. At that point they tell you the internet price was meant to represent delaer cost and not an actual sale price... Yet clearly the ads say "internet price" and want you to pay 2-3k more. Now obviously I wont deal...

McGee Toyota of Hanover lying!

Just had a horrible experience there where they refused to honor internet prices claiming they were listing dealer costs not sales... Yet nothing on the site says they aren't the sale price.

Drove 50 miles round trip only to be told prices were 2-3k more than advertised price

I am contacting ag office for deceptive practices under 93a. I encorage everyone to do so as the more complaints the more likey ag office is to hold them to fines of 5k per violation.

Only problem is they DONT list it as cost. They list it as SALE PRICE .
Cost doesnt have a SALE PRICE.!

Thats not tansparency, it's dishonesty.

There are no disclaimers whatsoever that they are not advertising a price you can actually buy the car at. I have the screen grabs to prove it.

Even when you email them and try and verify the price, you get an evasive answer "why dont you come in so we can talk some more about it".

When I have the time Ill initiate a class action suit on behalf of the consumers of MA. My research shows that they are in clear violation of M.G.L chapter 93a.

..Something tells me you work there.

Stopped by, against by better judgement, to look at a couple vehicles at their lot where Haddon Mercury used to be over near Star Land. I honestly knew better, having had a bad experience there myself years ago as well as having heard similar stories from multiple people over the years, but ignored my gut. Always a mistake.

So I took a look at a truck... and the desperate sales guy says "let's run some numbers, see what your payment would be looking like"... I say, "well, how are you going to check my credit? I don't want any inquiries on my report until I'm ready to make a move." He assures me it won't appear on my report... I ask, "you sure?" He says yes. Again, I know better, since they did this to my 20 y.o. son, but let him run with it.

It's worth mentioning that the sales office here looked like a telemarketing office crossed with a teenager's bedroom.

Comes back with a monthly payment of $459 over 72 months for a 2009 Tundra priced at $20, 000. Absolutely absurd. Oh, and that's after they give me $10K for my Xterra (KBB shows it worth closer to $17K).

Before I can even get a word out, my girlfriend says, "that seems ridiculous". I say, "that *is* ridiculous!" And I ask the guy, "what's the interest rate?" He tells me he doesn't know and won't find out until they write up the loan, but it's usually "single digits". What a crock of s**t... I say, "well that could be anything from zero to 9.9%, you have NO idea what it'll be?" He tells me again that he won't know until they write it. Then I ask him what they came back with for a credit score on me, and he tells me a number SUBSTANTIALLY lower than what I know it is.

So, trying to leave as politely as I can I tell the guy "yeah, I'll have to shop around and think about it" and take his card. Here come the high-pressure sales tactics: "What do I need to do to get your business today?" This becomes his mantra for the remainder of my time at the dealership. I chuckle and say "get that payment a lot lower". So in the course of roughly 90 seconds, and without a manager's intervention, he drops it to $400, then $350, and then finally $300/mo. Boy, that sure filled me with confidence in this place. I left.

So, doing some quick math (honestly not my strongest suit so feel free to correct me), the price of the truck, minus my trade, plus the payoff on my note, tax, title and fees, would bring that loan back up to about $20, 000. 20, 000 divided by 72 is $278 for the principal of the loan.

OK, so let's use the original payment of 459, minus 278 is $181 dollars in INTEREST alone... I had to fiddle around with an online loan calculator a bit because the numbers I was coming up with just using straight division were obviously wrong, but the interest on that loan would apparently be 18.25%.

I don't even have a credit card with interest rates that high.

Then, to top it off, I check my credit reports to this morning confirm what I already know... yep, an inquiry from McGee Toyota on my report. These guys personify the stereotype of used car salesmen.

I've had similar problems with this Dealership. They really do treat consumers like idiotic garbage when you walk through the door. The pembroke office sold me a car that had practically been totaled with carfax that didn't reflect this at all. I tryed to offload this POS for the past 2 years. Finally, Mcgee Toyota in Hanover sent me a flyer saying they would give me top dollar for my vehicle because of the japaneese tsunami as just a sell or trade in. So after trading it in, they only gave me the minimum amount for trade in and the vehicle I traded it for was a 2003 Black Honda Civic with only 60, 000 some odd miles.

Ten minutes after leaving the place, the vehicle broke down due to a bad radiator and leaking head gasket. When we returned the next day to find out what Mcgee would do about this, they said they would replace the radiator and that's it. I told them no deal, "So they could have their car back and buy my traded vehicle too". Their whole staff began to treat me like human garbage after that, doing whatever they could to shuffle me out the door so that I wouldn't out their low down crooked, shicty, theiving ways to new customers.

This company could possibly be the proper example of absolute anti customer service. I hate them, I loath them, they will do anything to snow you, and smile in your face knowing they're doing it. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. GO TO BOCH!

I walked out of McGee Toyota yesterday afternoon. Quite honestly, they were one of the worst dealerships I've ever dealt with, and I have purchased several new and used cars in my life.

Same complaints as all previous posters - price listed on the website isn't the real price, because that includes ALL of the "incentives" (military, student, holdback, etc...).

These shady scam artists offered me $10, 000 for my car, against full MSRP for theirs. My car is an Infiniti with a current Kelly Blue Book of $13, 725 (which is Trade-In for 'good' condition). They claimed their internet price was not possible ($29, 865), and that their invoice was closer to $32, 000! Then they showed me the magical print out of their invoice costs that is supposedly super 'confidential'.

They were a complete joke - if I do decide to buy a Highlander I will be going to Boch in Norwood.

And similar to others hear, I heard the salesman next to me completely taking advantage of a young couple next to me, convincing her to take a 72 month loan on her new car. Never take 72 months! Even 60 should be avoided wherever possible!

McGee Toyota - you are horrendous.

Same thing happened to us while buying a car for our son. We were recommended by a friend of the ownership family. The sales group said that the price on the internet wasn't correct and had to be higher but still will not tell us what is was even though they felt they needed to ask us for more money than we offered which was already $4500 over what they advertised they owned the car for. That was only a small part of a very dishonest experience. There's too many details to write here. What a mess! And they kept saying how we would be treated so well because we were recommended by a friend. They worked me over good and I feel like a total jerk. Thank goodness I have all their promises on email because they didn't follow through with anything that was supposed to be prepared on our used car before we picked it up. They haven't returned a phone call in weeks and we were not haunts about trying to reach them...still waiting. We live over an hour away so we can't just drop by. At the same time, I put a deposit on a new vehicle there and it was supposed to come in 2 weeks ago. We're very worried that we're going to have more problems if we buy another car there but nervous about losing our deposit. Not sure what to do...wish I was a lawyer.

I just experienced the exact same thing. They posted a vehicle on Craigslist for $2, 000 less than the price on their own site, but neither was the actual price. The vehicle was actually $4, 000 more than the Craigslist price and $2, 000 more than their website price! They are the very definition of "used car salesman"!

mcgee toyota screwed me over so bad its rediculous...I am going to take them down. They have me paying 420 a month for a camery for a 5 year lease yet I was under the impression I had a 3 year lease. I went to turn it in and they said oh wait you have 2 more years...I did not know I was signing 5 year lease and I have never even heard of such a thing. They took advantage of me and after 5 years I will of paid over 25000 for something I will not even own, are you kidding me. They took advantage of me cause im a girl and I advise noone to ever buy a car from them. Oh and a side note when I went there they said to wrap it around a tree and thats the only way ill get out of it. Nice customer service there. Bull

How can the state continue to allow this dealership to do this. AlanMi clearly must work for the dealership because no one in their right mind could say that this is an honest way to treat customers. The saleman I dealt with was willing to say anything to trick me into signing something. Beware!

I have been reading the posts along with the original post and want to encourage everyone on here to open their ears and listen when you are at the dealership. Their model of listing cost (price they bought the car for) and negotiating up is genius. There is no shadiness that you would find with a Boch Toyota or other dealership that inflates and gauges prices only to go down a little while still making a huge profit. McGee Toyota has a lot of inventory and their goal is to move cars, and listing their cost and having prospective customers give them a reasonable offer is not only fair, but transparent. I just bought a 2008 Toyota Rav4 from the Hanover, MA location and will recommend everyone I know that is ready to buy a car to use them. I think their model is great!

By the way, I would not be surprised if the other posters in this thread who say they will contact the attorney general because they traveled so far only to find out the price was 1-2k higher were all dealers. McGee's style of listing cost and 'negotiating up' is so efficient I would not be surprised if the entire auto industry turned to it within a few years!

Yeah, I've had the same experience with McGee Toyota lying and not matching posted internet prices. I actually went all the way down to the dealership because I saw the prices posted. They tried to pull some dealer tricks on me. We wanted to compare the LE and SE models, but this dealership doesn't have cars inside the showroom so I walked around the lot outside on my own because I was not greeted when I first walked in.

Anyways, I walked back in again, and I had to go up to a salesman, Bob Maguire. I asked about the two models and pricing. He left repeatedly to talk to the manager and get info on the cars. He constantly made me wait at his desk. And when he came back, all he did was try to get me to give information, but I haven't even seen the car or test driven it. He was extremely pushy, and when I didn't give my info ( I didn't see any reason to yet at that point since I haven't even seen the car yet), he accused me of wasting his time. He leaned back, pointed to the door, and repeated several times, "There's the door." So I left.
