McDonald's poor service, messy resturant and poor food

Just a warning to those who live in the Bay City Saginaw Area of Michigan, the McDonald's along i-75 also know as the Frankenlust Mcdonalds has some of the worst managers I've ever seen, I stopped in around dinner time (5-6 ish) and they were so busy it was ridiculous, but aside from that I observed some of the managers treating they're employee's as peons. One girl was standing at the register trying to take orders as this female manager (didn't catch her name) would say something to her completely taking her attention away from customer not only to turn around a minute later and tell her to stop taking orders and help out there AND then change her mind again and yell to take more orders, the place was so busy they got my order wrong, the manager that was in the grill area was not even paying attention to any sandwiches that were special made, I had to go back to the woman manager twice for the same sandwich how hard is it to get something right. I understand it was busy but I pay my hard earned money for this food. As I also noticed the place was so messy there were smooshed fries on the floor and coffee spilled everywhere, bathrooms... Don't even want to start on those there was a guy out in the parking lot smoking who looked like a maintenance guy but couldn't tell. Honestly it was one of the worst visits I've ever had and don't get me wrong I like McDonalds but this visit is making me think twice of where I spend my money.

McDonald's terrible everything

First before you judge me. Let me tell you one thing. I used to work for Mcdonalds.

Here is my story. I at a hospital as a registered nurse. Your restaurant is five miles from my work place. During my lunch break I found out that I forgot to take my fork along. I went across the street to ask for a fork. I have forgotten to pack my fork a few times and there was no problem. This time however I was told that they charge 3 cents for a fork. I asked them why there was a charge they said that they were told that they were no longer allowed to give out forks for free. I told them this is ridiculous. I asked them if they would charge 3 cents extra if I ordered a salad. They said that the forks were for customers only and that they come with salads and if I ordered food from them that they would give me a fork if it comes with the food. At the most they would give me a fork to eat fries. Why should I waste money on them when I already have my own food at work. I want to know why I am being discriminated against. Why should only salad eaters get forks. I kept telling them how wrong and ridiculous they were being. I used to work at Mcdonalds and they make billions a year why should the charge me for a fork. They would not give in to me until I argued with them. Finally I asked to speak to a manager. He too was being ridiculous and refused to give me a fork. Because of your ridiculous employees I had to rush to finish my food and could not enjoy my meal. I had heated it in the microwave and it got cold by the time I reached my work place. My food was cold and rushed. This incident happened last Wednesday.

Today again I forgot my fork and drove over to their restaurant. Not wanting to deal with low paid idiots again and having to rush my lunch I paid the three cents they asked for.

Here is what you should do to make me satisfied. First of all at $4 a gallon for gas I feel that I should get a gift card for the gas I wasted going to and from your restaurant (two trips back and forth, Wednesday September 10th and Tuedsay September 16th. I would also like the three cents for the fork back because it is ridiculous for them to charge for forks. Finally it would not hurt you to give me free coupons to tempt me to go back to your restaurant.

I am a registered nurse and I feel that I am being discriminated against because of my job because these minimum waged employees are jealous of my successful life.

I waited in line for over 30 minutes at the Miramichi NB McDonalds, and still never got my order taken, and when I finally gave up, over 20 people walked out before me, and after I left many followed. Needless to say my 3 children were very upset, because they wanted McDonalds, but luckily there was a Burger King near by. For any business to look negatively upon any comments would be ashame, because this establishment has over 30 to 40 people walking out within 5 minutes because of bad service. Do not know whether it was because of bad training, or bad management control, or the inability to multitask, but it is definitely the problem of management and the ownership of the franchise. It shouldn't take longer than 10 to 15 minutes to take someones order, over 30 and the staff standing there laughing about problems is not an excuse.

So you cant find a fork within the hospital you say you work at and will drive 5 miles down the road to the McDonals for a plastic fork. You deserve to be charged twice the a mount for that fork. What an idiot.

LOL. You have no right to the utensils there unless you're a paying customer. In fact, you really have no right to be there, use the facilities, etc. I work at a community college - really low profit margin on our food services - they do the same thing. I have no problem paying if required - but I make a real effort to not throw my disposable utensils away until they break. I usually get a couple months out of em. And my plastic bento box I often take to work with lunch in it comes with a little fork and spoon stored in the lid.

Nothing's free. Well, maybe in a welfare mentality OR on overblow sense of self worth where you think by your position, physical appearance, or station in life you deserve free perks...

I'm college educated, make a good wage, and I don't expect 'something for nothing'. I'm far from a 'granola girl', but I cart my own coffee cup to the local cafe, keep utensils in my desk, and remind myself that low paying jobs suck and be thankful for what I have.

Complaining is a right... but anymore, people lessen the value and power of speaking up by nitpicking on useless unnecessary crap like this. If you can't be mildly enviromentally aware and reuse, go to Costco (surely you can afford it) and by a gross of forks and leave them in your car or at your work station... Geez...

Dear McDonalds.
I would like to complain because I ordered a Sausage Muffin and the man who cooked it and gave it to me burned it, and last week I ordered the same sandwhich with egg well done and no cheese they put double check and when I came home my sandwhich was not what I ordered. Everytime I order they always mess up my sandwhich, so what I would suggest is that you hire people or tell the people that is working there to pay more attention on the job and of the customers.
Thank you for your cooperation

why should they have to give you a fork every time you forget to bring one to work?
why do you say they should have to pay for the petrol you used to get there, they didnt force you to drive there.
"these minimum waged employees are jealous of my successful life." sounds successful if your complaining about 3 cents

Everybody at McDonalds is against you because you're a nurse and they flip burgers. Since you're so much better than the people at McDonalds, why dont you purchase a box of disposable forks and leave them in your locker, car, purse, etc?

I'd discriminate against you just for being stupid.

Wow, that is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. If you are so high up on the career totem pole, 3 cents shouldnt bother you. I agree with McDonalds. Why should they be your personal provider of utensils when you do not buy anything? If you owned a business and many people each day asked for something that YOU as the owneer paid for, and they arent a paying customer, Id like to hear your reaction. Weren't you getting them from that restaurant before? Are they all of a sudden jealous of you? or is it because too many people were asking for free stuff? For someone who claims to be so high and mighty you sure are ignorant

McDonald's awful company

Ordered a dollar soda from dollar menu and was charged $1.29 + tax. Yes the girl repeated a dollar drink also. After looking at receipt I said you overcharged me. She said we charge 1.29 so I said why is it on dollar menu? And she didn't understand. So I said can I have refund and she said no I give you this and gave me 17c as I left I said I should report you and another customer said they do it all the time. Well it needs to stop, after they rip off millions they become millionaires, its just wrong. Also the workers are rude and don't speak good.

When you give them your ATM card at the drive-thru, and state that you want debit not credit, they just run the card as credit without saying that they only do credit not debit.

I know for a fact that they take debit at the drive-thru because I have been handed the pin pad several times to enter my pin number to pay for the food.

I believe they are just lying to customers because they don't want to pay the fee that the bank would charge them for people to use their debit cards. Why don't they just charge a fee to the customer like every other business does.

just because it's not on the dollar menu and you pay possibly 50 cents more why are you even asking for a refund in the first place. there's no point.

What is the basis of this complaint? If you have a debit Visa or MC, whether it's used as credit or debit it is still taken out of the bank account it's tied to. The only difference this would matter is if there was cash back wanted then the transaction would have to be done as debit. Sounds like someone wanted to make a complaint to see something they wrote show up on the internet.

I work at a (corporate, not franchise) McDonalds and at my store cards always run as credit automatically unless A) the transaction is over $15.00 or B) the card is debit only (without credit abilities). The set up works well for most people, but I'm afraid it's rather tedious in drive thru because there is no expendable number pad for customers so they either have to let me enter their number or get out of their cars and hit the numbers themselves at the window's edge which is as far as the cable can reach.
As for people saying there is no debit at all, it's usually because they've never seen it, it's a relatively rare occurrence and if it happens in the lobby most workers won't even know because we cannot see the screen. They don't mean to lie, they're just misinformed themselves.

Macdogfoods probably depends on people not speaking up over that extra 29 cents. For the customer, it's chump change, but it sure adds up to a lot of money considring how many peole go to Macdogfoods each day or even on the hour. They're always busy.

I am glad that "you know for a fact" that ALL McDonald's take debit cards as debit cards in drive. Not all McDonald's locations have the little pin pad to hand out the window - so that means the employee has to ask the customer for their PIN number to enter it in, I don't know about you - but I rather dislike the idea of giving my PIN number to someone I don't even know. Plus this slows drive thru down, you have to explain to the customer why you need their PIN number, some get offended, others confused. In addition to that you have some cards that don't even register as debit cards on the machines. But like I said, I am so glad that *you know*.

I totaly agree, I now make them wait while I open the bag and check my order is all there and there is normally something missing. I dont understand how they can keep getting it wrong, they have a big screen that tells them what to put in the bag.
I will also order an item and it will have been missed off the bill, so it makes me look stupid like I havent ordered it when I know I definately did. It would help if they read back your order to you as 99% of the time they dont issue you with a receipt.

Oops, I meant to write that the Value Meal does NOT include a soda beverage; therefore, the extra cost added to the meal.

I went through the Mesa, AZ McDonald's locted at 358 E. University Drive about 9 a.m. and ordered two Value Meals - a #1 meal with a small decaf coffee and a #2 meal with a small coke. Not realizing the breakfast Value Meal does include a soda beverage, I was surprised when the cashier charged more than the Value Meal pricing (Total: $9.31).

At the second window, I asked the server about the menu prices and was informed that coke is not included in the meal. (BTW, a different McD's HAD included the coke in the #2 VM price the previous day.) Before receiving the food, I asked the server to exchange the coke for a small coffee, which she did, but then she would not adjust the bill for the exchange (80 cents). The total should have been $8.51 ($4.19, #1 with small coffee, and $3.69 for #2 with small coffee. Add tax of .63, the total comes to $8.51, NOT $9.31.) Andy, the shift manager, also refused to return the 80 cents.

Not only was the shift manager stubborn and unpleasant, but I left wondering if other customers were being overcharged as well.

This incident isn't about a mere 80 cents. It's about honesty, fairness, and value; it's about charging the prices posted on the menu and about dealing honestly with customers.

I'm reminded of an old adage, "If someone makes a fool of you the first time, it's his fault; if he makes a fool of you a second time, it's your fault." Maybe it's time to stop patronizing McDonald's...

McDonald's terrible attitude from manager

I was visiting the McDonalds off of 35 in desoto texas. The manager there was very rude I was trying to place my order with the person in the drive through window. He obvisiously did not understand what I was asking for, so the manager comes on the intercom and says "he don't know what he doing, he new". I was like "excuse me" when I tried to place my order with her she seem frustrated and kept speaking over me. I then drove around to the window and tried to explain the situation to her. She kept cutting me off, yelling, telling me that she did not have to place my order. I said "Hello, I'm the customer, are you yelling at me?" she replied "naw this is just how I talk". I then asked for the corporate office number but still tried to explain the situation, the manager then starts going through her cell phone while I'm talking, I just told her to "forget it" and she replied, "no matter what she still got her day job". Needless to say I went and purchased food at the Burger King next door.

Hell yes.. Don't stand for their Bull. BK is nicer anyway.. you get more burger for your money.

Although not all their stores are like that but to be honest, if you want the same experience at home a packet of buns and some burgers with a jar of mayo, salad, etc, etc cost's less than an order from McDonalds or BK anyway!

McDonald's horrible serivce

I went to the McDonalds Drive-Thru for my family and another family. Arrived at the other family's house which is 5 minutes away. I realized we were missing my son's burger and 2 toys. When I called McDonald's and told them what I was missing the manager got on the phone. He asked what I ordered and I told him everything I had ordered and what was missing. He pulled my order up on the computer and verified everything I said that I had ordered. He asked me if I had a receipt. They had not provided me with a receipt. He said that it was store policy to give a receipt. They had not. He told me that he was unable to help me as I had no receipt. In essence he told me too bad, so sad! I was shocked. He could have probably seen from the computer that I had just placed the order no more than five minutes ago. The sad thing is that my son can't have cheese and all the other burgers had cheese on them so he had to go without a burger. I hope that the owner's of the Kirkland Lake Mcdonalds read this and do something about it. Friends of mine have gone through the drive thru since then and no receipts were given to them. I am totally disgusted with this Mcdonalds and will not go back. I am telling everyone about this and some of them won't go because of this.

I was at kirkland lake mcdonalds other nite and ordered take out...I got home only to find that two burgers I ordered were not in my bag. I've been busy working 2 jobs to get complaint in sooner. But I do have copy of my receipt that shoes I did pay for 2 double cheese burgers that I did not receive . I was not about to take a cab all the way back at my own expense as I do not drive and I paid for a cab once to go there. This isn't my 1st complaint for this location. It's very poorly managed and cleanliness of the place is horrible. I've attached copy of my receipt of my order that shows I paid for 2 double cheese burgers and did not get with my order. Either get proper management or shut it down.

McDonald's hair in brkfst sandwich/other

Every time we go to mcd's - the order is always messed up. We get the wrong order or something we ordered is missing. A few weeks ago we went to mcd's and I ordered a fish sand. When I got home, opened the sand, there was no fish! There was a bun with cheese melted on it but, no fish! My son-in-law took it back and they took the same bun in the container and just threw a pc of fish on it! They didn't even apologize! But, yesterday morning was the worst. I went for brkfst sandwiches and, as I was eating my sau egg biscuit - there was a long hair in it. It wasn't mine as I have real short hair. I saved it along with my receipt.

McDonald's online site lies

I recently applied to join McDonalds as I had moved back to London from living down on the coast and 'hey' I figured I needed a job after taking 5 years out of work, so after selling my place and moving back to jolly old London, spent most of my money in rent living in a flat seeking full time employment, then the money started to run out and I got more and more desperate with looking for employment. Started posting out as many C.V's as I could, then as luck would have it I landed a job working for the Blue Arrow agency. Great, but the bad news was the job was temporary and lasted three weeks after which time the manager came back from a sabbatical (sick leave) and patted me on the back "thanks for all your hard work but we wont be needing you any longer"

So then I lost the flat as I couldn't keep paying my rent had to declare myself homeless and move into a homeless shelter. As a last ditch attempt to secure full time work I applied online at the McDonalds website. Sat through a good 30 minutes worth of multiple choice questions about how youd handle different situations most of which anyone with an IQ over that of a 16 year old can probably read between the lines of anyway. You can see what their asking when they ask questions like;

'Your faced with a huge que at the checkout and our on the till, at the back you see a lady struggling with her shopping and three kids'

Do you;
a) Tell her to leave and try again later
b) Take her order and ask if shed like to take a seat and you'll bring her order over for her
c) Ignore her problems and carry on

So I answered all of them to the best of my ability which to my mind was near enough the 100% mark and the site informed me a representative from McDonalds would be in touch within a week by phone.

I then waited a whole week, received no phone call, but got back an e-Mail which stated, due to our high standards of recruitment we regret to inform you your application has been unsuccessful.

Why? Is my age a factor due to the fact I am nearly 40? If so does the manager at the outlet I applied to join feel threatened I might end up doing his job?

By telling me I was unsuccessful are McDonalds telling me the answer to some of those questions should have been; a) "Tell her to go away and try again later!" or c) "Ignore her problems and carry on?"

I think the sad truth is the company is biased to the address I am staying at due to the fact it's a homeless hostel. But that doesn't excuse the fact I was lied to and never got a bloody phone call...

It just goes to show regardless of whether you've been out of work because someone in your family died and you took a few years off working whilst spending a load of money, when you try to get back into the swing of earning a decent days wages, big firms will just knock you back into the gutter!

I wonder if this board is susceptible to MySQL overflows and the old functionName=NULL trick.

It's not my intellect thats lacking, its their recruitment teams... But 'hey' in a way I am glad they turned me down, I dont care if I have to spend the next five years on welfare, its your taxes I'm spending. After all who do you think is paying for me to live at a homeless hostel, you are, the tax payer.

Me I want out of this place and moved into my own flat again so I can start earning money and paying my own way!

I am glad they turned me down, I would have probably walked out anyway if thats their attitude and from what I read about the levels of their supposed customer service I already know more than enough to say I don't want the job now.. Not after they taint it and throw it back in my face!

Where'd the money go? Well I am 6'2 and can bench press 150lbs with one arm... Living is expensive, it sure is nice when the money's there or when the moneys rolling in but when it's not life's not so easy, you have bills to pay, Gas, Electric oh and lets not forget council tax.

I had five years of Working on my term's not when someone wanted me to be there at 7am in the morning, I arranged my time table and if I wanted a day off I could afford to take one, these are the advantages of being self employed.

Thinking of enrolling on a computer course to enhance your work prospects, let me stop you before you even start. Despite being highly qualified and skilled with computers I have got nothing but knock backs from most of the recruitment agencies with rubbish like "Sorry we're looking for people with prior I.T experience and an MSc in information technology" it really is no wonder to me why they cant find people, when you know about computers like the back of your hand.

How do people gain the required experience if they cant even get the job in the first place?

Brute muscle and metal work or mechanical engineering, yes you can find work doing that, by under cutting all the other people out there doing the same thing... But who's going to call you up about it when you've only worked for a handful of people and you aren't working for a firm?

I should have stayed in the country, but hey this is what I get for moving back to the city thinking I would be better off... I am going to head back down that way looking for work, ironic I moved back to improve the quality of my life and I find I've shot myself in the foot, I should have stayed where I was at least people knew who to call if they needed any welding work done.. See I can weld but no I don't have a welding ticket. If you want to hire a ticketed welder go right ahead, just hope you have deep pockets!

Well when you've got 94k in the Bank do you see a reason to continue working?

A bum, hardly, I spent 2 of those three years in higher ed getting an NVQ at level 3 in computers and technology,

the other 3 where spent living and working in a boatyard, I lived on a 33ft boat on the kent coast. Arc welding, Plasma cutting and angle grinding, serious hard work which I seriously doubt the kids that work behind a McDonalds counter have ever had to do a day in their life. I used to earn 60 to 70 a day, I didnt have to work I just did it to keep myself busy but that kind of work also sadly doesn't last.

Of course McDonalds would know all that if they actually took the time to phone.

McDonald's awful place to eat

The mentioned Outlet of McDonalds is the worst I have ever seen. The place is filthy, the Washrooms dirty, their Kitchen even worse. The glass doors smeared with grime. While open they even had Orkin the Pest Control Person mucking around in the kitchen for all customers to see. the people working there are slow as molasses, stupid and never listen when you place an order. They ask the same thing over and over again. The food takes forever to get. They are always out of something, one day they had no napkins, then no forks, then no Syrup for the Hotcakes. Then no Apple or Orange Juice. It is an outrage. The Manager does not seem to care at all. The Franchise of McDonalds should be ashamed to have such a place operating under these conditions.

The Ketchup dispensers are encrusted with black old Ketchup all around the nozzles. They are never cleaned. It is a health hazard eating there. Sooner or later someone will get very sick at that Pit!

Yours truly,
Margit Losel.

I am pretty sure you'll get sick eating their food regardless of how the place looks. What makes sick the most though is how disgusting you are in real life. Hopefully you die soon.

McDonald's service

i think it poor business that they charge u xtra on double cheeseburger or any product IF
u ask for mayo only or any changes at all!
even if u ask for catsup only or plain it is more because of a change...
it must be nice to be so big that u DO NOT need the business--i would think in these times that everyone needs all the business they can get!
mc donalds headquarters says it is owner operated BUT if is still a mc donald francise and this owner represents
MC DONALDS
wonder what mr ray kroc would think about this type of advertisement?
just want to let the public know about this crooked procedure

This girl that was giving me food at the desk was rude and I think her name was "Hannah" it said so on her name tag, either way she made my daughter very upset and me as well and she never even apologized and the order we got was wrong so I just went somewhere else with my daughter and basically wasted money...I'm never coming back here!

Weither or not each Mc Donalds is owned individually I think it is a corporate responsibilty, to make sure every restaurant is clean and well managed. I have 7 kids that want to eat here all the time, but they are always dirty, and most of the staff In southern California don't care about there jobs anyways, so the food is thrown together, nasty looking sloped hamburgers. and the fries are always COLD.. when is the BIG GUYS GOING TO EVER REGULATE THESE RESTAURANT OWNERS?

McDonald's overcharging

I stopped at McDonalds one morning for a McGriddle meal. Gave the lady a $20, got my food & change, and pulled ahead out of the way to put the change in my wallet. She gave me $ back and on the receipt it showed I gave her a $10. I pulled back around and told them the mistake. I had just been to the ATM so all I had were $20's and even showed them the ATM receipt. They refused to give me my missing $10. I emailed McDonalds consumer complaint department and heard nothing back.

I do not go there anymore. They stole from me and the employees were rude about it. When I was a cashier in high school - we counted down our drawer if something like that happened to see if we were off by any amount. McDonalds wouldn't even do that. The way they were acting I think they were pocketing the $$.

My McDonalds here in Tulsa charges an extra 20 cents per value meal. They do it by breaking out the drink price and adding it to the meal price. I've complained and have been treated like an idiot. No longer eating there. Instead, I'm blogging about it.

We visit McDonalds almost every Sunday after church in Darien, and sometimes during the week for breakfast. I have tried to send you a complaint since Mothers Day, but didn't know how, being a Sr., just starting to get used to this, I don't like complaining, but after this last time, I just had to say the we get rude people to wait on us, and they don't offer the specials, we order a sandwich, when we couldv'e gotten the special on the same one. Our money is tight as you well know, also we didn't get our discount in Hickory Hills, we have also ordered on the run with the order having cheese, which Icannot eat because of high blood pressure. I do cheat alittle with the bacon biscuit that I usually get. I really hate to complain, even if it's a small matter but it does add up for us. We go to Woodridge during the week, and it's always a perfect day for us. Darien is close to church. Thanks for listening.

McDonald's poor serive/poor food

For years I have been complain9ing about the service at mcdonalds to my friends and family and am always saying I am going to file a complaint. I never get around to doing it though and after getting service and food that is good a few times I forget about the times they have been less than favorable. But this morning was the last time! I have had enough of sloppy falling apart food items and slow service! Wrong orders happen as often as they do not at this Mcdonalds and they are rarely quick unless I order food only for myself. When ordering more than 1 hamburger fries and a coke it seems as if they have to kill and butcher the cow before I get the food. When I finally get the order it is wrong and someone in the family ends up not getting to eat something they wanted and at times nothing at all until I go back and get it. This morning I ordered for myself and it didnt take to long but when I got home I bit into my sausage mcmuffin only to find a burnt egg which tasted terrible. So, I bit into the second one I ordered and the same thing burnt egg on a english muffin, well half the burnt egg was on it the other half was falling off of it and stuck to the paper. I dont think I have ever been to this mcdonalds when something in the order wasnt put together right. Everything is usually half on the bun and half off the bun as if they were in some great hurry to get the order out to me HAHAHA no way! after waiting that much time there was certainly no rush near as I can tell. I am very very very unhappy with this mcdonalds, I have had enough! They make crappy food and give crappy service and take a very very very long time to give me my crappy food! I am Pissed! I spend on the average 25 dollars everytime I go to Mcdonalds we are a family of 5 and that is a lot of money to be spending on crap!

I have my own complaint. My complaint is I watched one of the employees pickup the beef pattie for my big macs with her fingers and put them on the bun. Then, i watched her pickup the middle part where the pattie is with her fingers on it again closed the box and was handed it to me. I told mng. i didnt appreciate it cause after she did that, she didnt even wash her hands. She just kept working. Thats whats called cross contamination. This is how people get sick. I watched her do this even before mine was made. This place is located in Pasadena Tx. at Fairmont and Preston. I would like someone from corp. to call me on this. [protected]

McDonald's continous broken ice cream machine

I have been a customer of McDonalds for many years. Everytime I go to the Mcdonalds in Belen, New Mexico to order a milk shake I am told that their ice cream machine is broken. This happens nine out of ten times. If their machine is always broken, buy a new one. I believe that McDonalds could afford a new machine. I have also run into rude order takers at this same McDonalds. I will not return to this McDonalds again and I frequently stopped there just for their shakes but no more.

I'm told this every time I go to the McDonalds here in Chesapeake, VA. Especially when it's around 8 or later at night. Either they clean the ice cream machines early or are too lazy to make an ice cream.. maybe the machine is broken but if it's broken 6 days a week they should buy a new one!

McDonald's terrible experience

I received an order from the drivethru at Mcdonald's and proceeded to pull into a stall on their property. An employee was picking up garbage just seconds prior in that same particular stall I had just pulled into when I heard a loud, crunching noise under my tires. I had said to myself "That didn't sound good!" Then I turned off the engine and as I went to step out of the car I slipped on some glass from a bottle and lost my balance and slammed my shoulder into the car and injuring myself. I approached the employee cleaning the grounds and asked her why she had not cleaned it up or at least put something there to warn others. She claimed she wasn't aware of it yet she had just stood in that stall moments ago... only seconds prior! Then I went to assess the damage and sure enough, there was a thick piece of green glass embedded in my tire. I pulled it out and proceeded to walk into the restaurant and asked for the manager and a young girl from behind counter replied "I'm the manager" I asked her if they have someone responsible for maintaining their property, she said yes and I had asked her when was the last time someone did their job because I just ran over some glass (evidence in hand) and now I may have a flat by tomorrow and I want to know if someone can clean it up because I have to back out and I prefer not to run over it again. There was large pieces and small crushed pieces under my tires which I tried to brush away with my feet. No one came out for a solid 7 mins when I walked back in and asked the manager "what's going on?" she said she wasn't going to pick glass out of my tires... 2 other employees behind her with their backs turned to me were laughing and whispering. I was angry and humiliated at this point when I said "Are you kidding me...do you think this is a joke? I directed this to the 2 employees and the manager then I told them they have wasted enough of my time and patience and I would appreciate someone cleaning up the glass. As I stood at the door that lead to behind the counter, thinking someone was coming out... the first employee I had an encounter with, approached the door and told me to leave and I told her I would file a complaint with their corporate head office if this situation wasn't rectified. She said she would tell them I was drunk... meanwhile I have a coffee order in the car getting cold as this drama unfolds. I can honestly say I was not drinking and I didn't appreciate this comment or behavior... I work with the public in a professional manner and I so choose the same respect from other people. I then left after brushing away the glass with a paper bag. The service I received was unacceptable and disrespectful.

It is her religion and her job. So grow up its not like she is forcing you to wear one. And I wore a big glossy cross at the McDonald's where I had worked. If you feel that it is inappropriate and offensived then don't go to the mcdonalds. Have a great day

I find it inappropriate to a McDonald's employee wearing an obvious hijab. It is offensive and makes the customer feel that McDonald's is shoving Islam down our throats especially in the atmosphere of the global world where Islam is oppressing women and people of other religions, while killing those who won't "submit" to their religion. We are deeply offended. I don't think you would allow an employee to wear a big glossy cross around their neck. Have her obey the same rules as everyone else or get a job elsewhere. We are tired of the global propaganda of islamaphobia while muslims allow nothing for non-muslims.

This morning June 29, 2011 I entered the local Mcdonalds in The Pas placed an order to be consumed in the restraunt and when I received it I had to point out mistakes in the order to the employee and then it was still wrong and also it was packed as a takeout order. Next My wife had to ask if a table could be cleaned and returned to the counter a few mins later to ask for a cloth to do the job her self. Also while the employees were friendly enough they seem not to know what they were doing as they went from one side of the work area to the other their movements were very slow as if they did not know what they were to do next. I also witnessed an employee sweeping the floor and appeared not to know how to hold the broom to do the job efficently again apparently not knowing how to do her job. to sum up with the recent changes to the reseraunt and the experience I had today I am not sure I will return to this business again. If these employees were working for me they would no longer have a job.

McDonald's store manager.

Okay so I was working at this mcdonalds, it was the second one i had worked at. When I first started working I was like "wow you can actually do that here" such as eating and drinking behind the counter...infront of customers. Well one day i had been at work since 4:15 a.m. and it was nearly 11:30 and i had not had a break. I kept telling the store manager i needed to eat, that i didn't need a full 30 minute break just to eat because i was starting to feel sick. when i couldn't function properly anymore I took off my head set (I was working in the back in the drive-thru window). he started accusing me or being on drugs while at work. After that he kept getting on my back about something when before i was one of his "best employees" and told "NOT to listen" to anyone else because i knew what i was doing. he would write everything i would do "wrong" down. then today something happened on front counter that was an honest mistake and he started doing it again. "dont worry ma'am ill deal with her later" so i told him .. "im done" and walked away to get my stuff, i came back and everyone was staring at me, i know i did not cause a seen because i didnt swear or raise my tone of voice. and when i walked out side, this little girl walked past and turned to her mom and said "that's her" . o and one time i dropped a mcchicken on the floor, and he rewrapped it and still gave it to the customer because they didnt see it happen.

McDonald's snotty assistant managers

I ordered a breakfast item and paid with my bank card. A few minutes went by and the order taker said that she could not find my receipt even though her cash register read that my order had been paid for. I asked for the amount so I could write it down in my checkbook and she muttered something, and I had to ask her a second time before she gave me the dollar amount of my order. A few more minutes went by and she looked into a bag that was sitting on the counter and said, "Oh, there is your receipt!". I asked her who had put the bag on the counter and the manager/assistant manager, who was standing not too far away, said that she had told me that my order and receipt was on the counter. I said, "No you didn't", and she said, "Yes, I did". This exchange went on a couple more times and I finally said to her, "how can you say that you told me that that was my order and receipt in the bag when the order taker did not even hear you... she was still looking for my receipt? I only got a cold stare . This store needs new management and has needed it for a long time. This store is never very busy and they still have problems, i.e. can't get an order right, rudeness and a long, long wait for customers. In the past several years, I have seen many customers just leave the store, myself included. After this last incidence of total rudeness, I will never return to the Newton Falls, Ohio McDonald's in Trumbull County.

Disagree with that cream of the crop statement- some very motivated, capable, talented people have worked at McD's- but the general attitude of that statement is overwhelmingly popular- and the less motivated individual falls into it's trap... any honest job is worth an honest effort... but sadly, I too, have experienced the Newton Falls location to be slow, with lines backed up- while only one person is manning the counters and five, yes five, individuals standing around the grill/sandwich construction area, talking, not working...just talking! I was limited on time, and left after waiting over 10 minutes . NF does not have a high volume of customers- I've seen at Ft. Dix NJ- scores of orders during a lunch rush with only five workers- all done with the precision of a well oiled machine. It's a matter of pride- one needs to take pride in thier work- whether it's flipping burgers, filling gas, (they still do that somewhere in Ohio, no?) of flying planes! Just my thoughts on the matter.

McDonald's terrible attitude of employee

I wanted to order a senior coffee, chicken wrap, yogart parfait, water. The cashier took my money, gave me change and said nothing. I ask if they had fresh coffee? No response. Ask different person, a woman in a brown uniform, she said no. I ask if it would be too much trouble to make a fresh pot. The only answer was, after standing several minutes, was "it will a while"! I said ok, I was eating in. The cashier moved my tray, told me to put my reciept on the tray. When my order came up, there were "3" spicy wraps, fried? I had ask for "1", grilled. There was no coffee, no water, no yogart! After waiting for the cashier to wait on 3 other customers, I finally got her to look my way. She put a paper cup on the tray. I had to wait till the cashier waited on other customers, then she looked at me. She never spoke! I ask for my yogart and coffee. She handed me my yogart, but no coffee. I waited till the person in the brown uniform turned my way. I ask about the coffee, she said it would be made in a moment. I went and sat down, ate my wrap, offered to give one to an employee on brake. She didn't want it. I told her what had happened. She got up and left. I offered the wrap to another young customer and his girlfriend. They took it, and laughed when I told them what had happened. Another customer, who had been behind me was leaving, and ask me if I ever got my coffee. I shook my head, and said no. I got up when back to the cashier. I ask with some impatients, when was I ever going to get my coffee. She never spoke! After she waited on other customers she poured me a cup of coffee, handed it to me. I thanked her. She never answered. I've never taken the time to write about a comlaint. This isn't the first. My wife and I travel alot. We just returned from a 2 week trip to Williamsburg and Ashville, N.C. We stopped at many McDonald resturants on our trip. Of all of the fast food resturants, McDonalds was consistantly the poorest quality. The "help" was very unresponsive, and not friendly in most of the places we stopped. The restrooms in Mc Donalds were absolutely the worst of ANY of the other places we stopped. Wish management would impress upon the workers, to at least be polite and see that the restrooms were keep clean. Thanks I feel better, I know I have plenty of other choices for places to stop and eat. But it seems that "we" the money spending customers should at least get what we order, and not have to be totally ignored!

my heart sings - just knowing that someone out there is like "ok I've had it. I shall now launch a one man campaign to let everyone know that McDonalds is not the upscale restaurant they appear to be!"
Bro if you have such an eye for detail and appreciation for the nuances of dining, what are you doing in a McDonalds? Who would put McDonalds products into their body, for that matter?
uncharismatic "help" aside.
If you're looking for hired help with white gloves who embrace the idea of being your servant - I would shoot for at least an Arbys. Maybe really go all out an splurge on an Olive Garden night out. For high rollers like me.
Velvet ropes. People who make eye contact with you. And actually the Olive Garden has three menus, one for food, one for wine, and one just of gourmet yoghurt.
Right up your alley, Meredith.

PS- Thanks for posting the phone number of the McDonalds where the outrage occurred. I took the liberty of berating them on your behalf till my voice became hoarse. I encourage everyone else to do the same.
