We used them for our last move. The lies started with their salesman that came to our home. And the lies did not stop there. DO NOT SIGN anything with these people before checking out all the fine print and asking what their terminology means. What is (to you) just an estimated quote - to them becomes a binding contract. And if the sales person tells you you are only responsible for the weight section unless they pack you---this is NOT TRUE. They have lied to us through the whole process. They are very hard to get to return calls once they have delivered your furniture. Please warn everyone you know who is getting estimates for moving.

This is true. They come out and look at your stuff and provide an estimate. Then they turn around pick up your stuff and call you after they have your belongings and give you an outrages figure. Once you contact them they drop the line that the contract is not binding and you only received an estimate. Once you disagree, they have their attorney call you in preparation for a settlement of some kind. I think these complaints should go to the attorney general. They are scammers.

I suggest using a company that has high ratings with JD Power and BBB. Not every moving company can receive high ratings unless they perform them.

In addition, if your sales consultant isnt sitting down explaining every detail and educating the customer then consider another carrier.

Mistakes will happen but the above is not the normal in this industry. Stay away from brokers and if you choose the least cost you may get your money worth.

Remember JD Power is a great start
